I have worked at Mertz for 11 years now. 6 years as a welder, and the rest in various leadership rolls. I have nothing but great things to say about this company. My grandfather retired from Mertz and I plan to do the same. Upper managment has been nothing but good to me, and have offered many opportunities for advancement over the years.Great place to work.

Have worked here almost 13 years. I have been treated well and have been given many opportunities and appreciate Steve B. for being as generous and kind as any previous employer has ever been. We have many fine employees and have good equipment. We also have many opportunities for improvement just as any other company does.

Bring food if youre delivering here. One of the slowest places I deliver to. Everybody there has an attitude problem.

If you come here when they open make sure you have breakfast and bring lunch too. Arrived at 12:30, guy from 8a was just leaving, 2:45 came they started unloading a truck and then gonna tell us other 5 trucks we gotta resecure load and come back in the morning. Not our fault y’all BS around unloading then tell us to come back in morning. As truckers our time is precious and money missed due to they lazy no hurry working ways. Thanks for making me miss out on money PURE TRASH to get unloaded for product they ordered to be delivered to them smh.....

New management has ruined this place. If you need a job they wont hire you. The company is dying. They are starting to do lay offs/firing people. Horrible work environment. Ideas and suggestions lead to violent outbreaks from higher ups. Asking questions about anything that requires you to talk to a supervisor leads to them yelling and bulldogging you. Every answer is HR OR THERES THE DOOR

If delivering turn in gate across from Industrial Road. (3rd gate on right) either swing wide to make the turn or go around the block and come in from Industrial Road. Go to the rightside of material in the middle as you turn in

To long to unload and very disrespectful people and they have a dock for unloading but will not use it.
