This Shop is to me like any other one,very friendly people, meat sausage and lots of other stuff.The bred is also very good.I really dont understand some of the critics concerning mask, we dont wear one and never had a problem.Any time again

This is an adorably friendly local butcher that has extremely affordable prices on Mears, cheeses, and German specialties. My mom had so much fun walking down memory lane while in there. It is small but it packed with fun finds!

Wow wow wow. Went in to check it out and met the friendliest ladies working behind the counter. Bought a few steaks for supper and a few other things. My steak is properly thick, not like the ones from Wally world. Prices are good too. Lots of value for your dollar. I will definitely return

My only go-to German grocery and butcher shop. As good as any butcher shop Ive been to in Germany. Ive been to Germany three times to visit my grandmothers and many relatives.I go to Kalis three or four times a year to completely stock up on sausages, meat, sauerkraut, bread, cookies, candy, chocolate, and flavorings.Closed on Monday, but if you drive by slowly, you can smell the butcher smoking the meat for the rest of the week. As a child, I spent a lot of time in butcher shops with my German immigrant parents. When I walk in, the smells bring back very good memories.

Beef has been horrid at Publixs and Costco Winn Dixie ate awful beef layeltbut Kallis meat has been very good.

Dont bother stopping here. The shelves are practically empty...same item spread out to fill the voids. About 1/3 of what they used to sell. The meat display is nearly half of what it used to be. I really didnt want to go there, but visitors from out of town just had to go--we couldnt find anything to buy...nothing is in stock. Not to mention their draconian mask BS...if you yell at customers, they will take their money elsewhere and you will be out of business--as this place nearly is. Ill continue to take my money elsewhere--where Im treated better and get more value for it.

Loved coming here before the virus. now when we go in they are HUGE mask freaks, I put one on so I could get what I needed and go but now will no longer come here since they are forcing my 5 year old to put a mask on and trying to scare him into wearing it, as if he won’t be safe unless he wears one.. over 99% survival rate for this virus. it’s unfortunate that These people act like this, but from now on we will just go else where. Good luck to this butcher shop because they will be losing lots Business due to their crazy mask policy and their aggressive and rude attitudes.

We were still in front of the entrance door when an employee came runing out, protecting the door from us entering and screeming at us: you are not playing that game with me in this store. No mask, no entrance and she slamed the door in our face when runing back in the store.My friend and I were very confused about this kind of behavier.I never been welcomed this way outside of a store in my lifetime.It was very rude and very unprofessionell.I want to be clear, it is not the fact that we had to wear a mask, it was the way how we were as to do so.

I was not happy with the customer service. I wanted 2 1lb pkgs of ground beef. I was told they dont split it into single pkgs. I ordered one. When she gave it to me, I ordered another. She was then very grumpy and I heard her and another clerk talking about me. I work in a meat department back home and we bend over backwards to please the customer. So Kallis should remember that Customer Service is Very Important

The store is clean, bright, and the staff is friendly. Their products are authentic and fantastic. I highly recommend them and I am a repeat customer.

My car was hit and a disabled person left in a white car that was standing in line with me at the checkout counter. I called the police. the seller did not allow a policeman to watch the video from 3 cameras. said nothing to them. Now I have a broken car and a very bad mood. it is very not decent.

I travel from Cape Coral to Kalli’s for all my German products! Totally worth the trip! I wish I could get there more often!

My second time shopping here and I love it! They have thee biggest & best Country ribs I have ever had in my 54 years of life. This lil butcher shop takes me back to my Sweet home Chicago and my childhood. Great butcher shop to get high quality meat. All of the ladies here are fantastic and very friendly.

We discovered this incredible old school butcher in shop this spring and oh how fortunate we are. Like steak tartare... their ground round is phenomenal..... want to make the best burger in town? Then pick up their ground chuck. I want sausage and what about steak. You will find the highest quality and the best flavor in everything they make or sell! Noodles authentic spices, European butter. German wines... they have it all. Every protocol in place. Take a number snd get in line... oh did I forget to mention their European breads??? You can call in your order and pick it up.

Ive never experienced this kind of treatment in any stores in the SW Florida area. A lady immediatley walk into your face and ask me to wear a mask. I understand most people are afraid of a virus that has 99.94% survival rate. However, please understand there are people who also suffer from disability or medical conditions that dont allow them to cover their faces. It would be nice to state your policy in a gentle tone instead of a hostile way toward anybody. Its okay to ask customers to leave if you do not want to do business with them. Shouting and raising your voice at the door as soon as someone walk in IS NOT OKAY. Please respect ADA rule and have more management training with your employees or even the manager. Id let my friends and family in the port charlotte and punta gorda area know about this butcher shop and share my experiences with some neighbors of mine. Best staff around!!! Always helpful and just super people. Best butcher meats, cheese, sausages, hot dogs (frankfurters). Plus all the other items available- baking, goodies, candies etc. Now getting in holiday items too.

Excellent quality and often cheaper than the grocery store. Top-notch customer service and very willing to work with you.

They don’t care enough to have a box of masks for paying customers. They just have a lady who rushes you out instead of making sales. It’s really sad because they have good products.

While product is good the people are rude. If you require masks you must provide them. Was barked at as i entered the shop and now will every chance i get on live radio ensure that there rudness is mentioned every chance i get. You do not treat people like disobedient children when they only have a single foot in your door.

The only place Ill shop if I want the best quality in meats. Great variety in German specialty lunch meats and sundry items. The staff are wonderful. At times service can be slow...only because of their popularity but the wait is definitely worth it.

Horrible service! They are completely paranoid of a virus with a 99.8% survival rate. I have a medical condition that doesnt allow me to wear a mask and they would even let me in the door but rather screamed at me until I left. They are not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. They dont need my business! Beef Country up the street was happy to help me and provided me excellent service as well as better quality meat!

Best German meat market in Florida

This place is great. If you want the BEST ground beef for hamburgers or any other dish, come here. The price is comparable to basic grocery stores but the quality is far superior. We get so many compliments on our cook outs with friends. We highly recommend Kallis for all their meat and products

Used to be nice. Extremely rude cashier. What is with wrong with this lady? She was treating everyone abruptly and was very abusive to the senior citizens. The meat quality isn’t as good as it used to be. Way too much fat in the ground beef. This place should be shut down.

Always clean!!! The employees are so friendly Everytime I have been there. They happily greet everyone. Meat is SO fresh. The ground chuck is excellent. The different fresh sausages are great also. We have never been disappointed.

Kallis butcher shop is by far the best butcher shop Ive ever been to! Their meat is so fresh and everything tastefully tender. Extremely reasonably priced! I love the ladies in there also great customer service and excellent eats! I recommend it to everybody.

Just went there tonight for the first time, sorry we waited so long to try it. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. They have an incredible selection of meats, all kinds to choose from luncheon meats, chicken, steaks you name it. A lot of it is made right there on premises. I just found my new Meat Market I wont buy meat anywhere else when Im in this area. They have homemade sausages with no additives or preservatives and other meats.

The best German butcher shop in SW Florida

Dont shop here. The kicked out a disabled man because he couldnt wear a mask. Plus they said it was mandatory in Charlotte county which isnt true. They need to do their homework before enforcing something that isnt mandatory. As for kicking disabled people out without serving them is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

This is the best meat in the entire area. Their baked goods are also excellent. Try their pretzels! They were the best I ever had. The entire place was very clean and smelled very clean. The meat has great color and flavor and is always tender no matter how you cook it. Ive been to a lot of places around the entire state, and this is absolutely the best meat Ive ever had. More people should come here if they appreciate high quality meats. Not only that, but the prices are really low for the quality youre getting.

Kallis German Butcher Shop is one of my go to places. They make their own wursts and Italian sausage. Meats are always great. So are the cheeses. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Best Bratwurst in the area and all around very good quality meats and cold cuts. Also reasonable priced, not more expensive than in the big Grocery Stores if you get the same quality. They also have a big selection of imported German Products so if you are looking for original German Gingerbreads or Chocolate, this is the place to go. In addition they carry a selection of European cheeses. Staff is very friendly and will always vacuum or special pack meats for the freezer. The shop can be pretty busy and especially on the weekend they might sell out on meat so call ahead and place an order if you want to make sure to get what you want. If you like the German Breakfast Rolls here’s a tip: They do sell you the frozen unbaked ones in 25-27 pc bags which are cheaper than buying the baked ones and you will be able to bake them yourself freshly whenever you want 😉

My parents live in Port Charlotte, so when I visit once a month from Tampa, we stop at Kallis. I have to say every meat we get through here is AMAZING. I just had the NY strips last week, the meat was the most wonderful steak I have ever eaten. Just made the baby back ribs today, and they were so succulent. I strongly suggest this butcher shop, you wont be disappointed.

Meat itself isnt bad, but the staff is horrible. We were involved in a hit and run, and the staff didnt let us see the camera footage.

Many options with great prices for imported goods. The German bread is great. The meat selection fresh, and good. Butcher prices are on par or better than local groceries.

Most consistent meat market in Port Charlotte FL. Rib eye steaks are as good as you can find. Brats are great, not too spicy. One thing we had to get used to. They put your items in a bin with a name on it (like bunny rabbit etc) and then say bunny rabbit and take it to the check out area. Then when you get up to the check out you ask for bunny rabbit and they take your bin and ring it up. Also be sure to look to your left as you enter and take a number if its busy. You will love their meat products guaranteed.

Best place in town!!! Everytime I go I tell them my budget and they help me out ...I usually spend less and Ill have enough meats to last all month for my family of 5. I wont go anywhere else, once you buy from here you wont want to shop anywhere else either!! The friendly service is amazing and the meats taste so much better then what you buy in a market!!

The ladies at thw counter are always so patient and helpful and nice. The food they sell is fresh and very reasonably priced. They always let you sample anything youre thinking of buying to make sure you like it. Always an awesome experience!

I gatta be careful when I shop here.... Before I know it, Ive got more than I can carry and could eat by myself. Theyve got so much authentic food too, some of the chocolates are to die for as well. My favorite item is the beef sticks..... I might just go get some right now!

Tiny little place with a few specialty items worth checking out. This time I picked up a pretzel, some weisswursts, sour cherries and frankfurters. Plus gummy candies.

Nice place to get head cheese lunchmeat or Weisswurst brats. Can get busy so make sure to grab a number on the left as soon as you walk through the door! 😀

Just finished dinner after buying a couple of steaks, bread and a few other items from Kallis. The steaks were terrific and the bread was outstanding. My only complaint is I now have to drive to Port Charlotte for my meat.

Because I am in a wheelchair and unable to drive, I called Kallis to find out if they sold Valentine’s Day gift certificates. My husband loves meat so much, it’s practically his favorite thing. So, I called & started to ask if I could pay over the phone and then my husband could come in and buy whatever he wanted, but, before I could finish, the woman hung up on me. She just hung up! I called back and asked if she was going to hang up on me again and she said Maybe! and did. Its hard not being able to walk or drive, but people are normally very nice. It makes you wonder about everything else in that place. If your “front” person is so mean, what else is short-cut, old, not prepared right, etc.? I’ll go elsewhere for my Hubby, he’s worth so much more than that.
