Excellent experience with this company. I was having problems with a pulley on my opener and was sure the answer was a new stronger opener. The owner looked at my old garage door and realized it needed new rollers and spring and replaced the pulley to operate my door correctly. Work was done quickly and on time arrival was great. Price of repair was less than a new opener so I even saved money. Ill deal with this company again if I need them.

We called around asking for bids for a hurricane rated garage door and Marco was out the next day with a very reasonable quote and a catalog of selections. We placed our order in mid November and requested installation after the first of the year. Our door was shipped on January 12 and Marco and his worker came out on January 19 to install. Fixed a shorted wiring and installed a new sensor all that for just over $200 best recommendations ever to this company.

The spring on our garage door literally split in half over our single car area. After calling, got a call back with an estimate, got a promise to be out there the next day for half the price of others. Yesterday I researched garage door companies in Port Charlotte based on prior client’s experiences in order to select a company to install a garage door opener. I called Garage Doors Over Charlotte to obtain an estimate and to set an appointment to get this accomplished. The lady who spoke with me gave me a verbal estimate, and I asked her if it would be possible to obtain this in writing, either by text or email. She got so defensive, rude and disrespectful that she proceeded to share that her company does not change prices, and she does not understand my concern. She continued to be upset and hung up the phone on me. I could not believe that this just happened, as I have been in the customer service business for over 50 years and was astounded that someone would treat a client in this way. I immediately thought that I should call back and speak with the owner, just to provide feedback so that they are aware how their employees are treating both new and existing clients. To my surprise the lady would not answer the phone. I would recommend to any new clients, to stay away from this company because if this was the introduction they provided to a new client, how can you expect to receive quality work. More importantly, if there are concerns with the job, they would not respond to you as they don’t care. Very poor company to do business with for any client .

My garage door was original to the house (32 years old) and needed to be replaced to withstand cat 5 hurricane force winds and flying objects. I got 3 estimates from different contractors in Charlotte County and decided to use GDOC because they had outstanding products with the best warranties. The owner does all the estimates and installations resulting in savings to the consumer as a result of the lower overhead costs. This is a very professional company - good communication and they follow through on all their scheduling. All in all, a beautiful, strong-but-quiet garage door installed professionally in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Marco, the owner, was very prompt and professional. He replaced my garage door springs ( one broke ) with heavier duty springs and replaced all my door rollers with nylon ball bearing rollers. My door which was very noisy during opening and closing is now remarkably noise free. I scheduled a tech to fix my garage door. I was given a 2 hour window and due to work constraints, I arrived home 20 minutes into the 2 hour window. While I was home, no one showed up. I called the business and the answering machine said they were closed. Later that night, I found a business card saying the tech had been there just prior to my arrival. The next day, a foreign woman called me and lectured me for 5 minutes straight about me not being there. I apologized and asked if they could send the technician out again. She flat out said no and hung up. Literally, while Im writing this review, she called me back and said we could give it another shot. I told her I am not interested and that I have someone else coming out. She then began yelling at me about me not being home when the tech came over. The professionalism with this company is appalling and the customer service is one of the lowest levels I have seen in a long time. I highly recommend NOT using this company for your garage repairs.

Marco quickly diagnosed the problem. He came out to install a new unit we had ordered but said the unit was fine (even though he could have sold us a new one). The problem was missing load bearing cross bars the previous house owner had removed to fit his truck in the garage. The springs were also on their last legs. Marco didn’t charge us for the service call and came back first thing with the cross bars and springs. He worked quickly and efficiently to install and test everything. Very competent and honest guy.
