Ken and jud were both great. I went for an acoustic guitar, they had a good selection. I played them and found one I liked and got It.

Great service! Went in there to buy drum sticks for my Daughter and came out of there with guitar lessons! Jud took us to the back and showed us his skills. Made my little girls day! Very friendly and very knowledgeable.

I came to Ace Drums in need of a new guitar cable. What I left with was a plethora of music/instrument related information and a new favorite music store. Everyone Ive met so far has been welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, and wildly amusing, all at the same time. Despite the name, there is no shortage of other instruments and accessories; a french horn was walking out the door as I was walking in for my guitar needs (to a drum store).Pete went through an entire set up on my Les Paul and explained everything he was checking and why. I never had a bad job done at Guitar Center, but Ive certainly never received that level of attention, especially when I wasnt there to spend a lot of money. This was the least expensive (by far) and best done (also by far) set up Ive had done on one of my guitars.All-in-all, this is a true local community music store with lessons and repairs for almost ages (4-87, I believe), skill level, or instrument. If youre local or even passing through, you should definitely stop by and support Ace Drums.

I love taking lessons there Jud is the best guitar teacher Ive ever had . and Kenny is just a super nice guy who is willing to help you with anything music related.. I got a great deal on an awesome amplifier... If you need a band instrument like clarinet saxophones trumpets if they dont have it they can order the perfect instrument just for you!! Its more than a music store to me its family.. and the place that I love.. to just stop in hang out and talk music... Highly recommended! Ken is THE BEST. Its a very comfortable music store that offers lessons and many other things. ACE Drums is by musicians and for musicians. I love this place and If I could give them a higher rating I would. Weve purchased and amp and a 12 string guitar and get our strings and such from them regularly. Went to just check it out. Nice people. I was looking at acoustic guitars, and they have a limited selection and dont seem to carry the major labels like Martin, Taylor, Gibson or any more upscale brands.

I went in for flatwound bass strings ...found what I wanted, no problem . Checked out the gear & guitars too . Theres always some interesting stuff here .

Its a drum store. I wouldnt call it guitar center... definitely not a guitar shop, prices on lower end guitars are cringeworthy in most cases on brands im used to seeing in pawn shops in the midwest. Some gems however rare. Limited hand made drums. Its at least a good if not phenomenal drum shop.

The store is a little cramped but its because they have such a large variety of stuff. And its not just a drum store like the name may suggest. They have a little of everything. Plus staff is very friendly and helpful to me. Theyre very respectful and knowledgeable.

I needed a very special cable and when they realized they didnt have it, they called Whirlwind and had one custom made for me at no additional cost!!!!!!!!! Not only did they do this for me but they also had the AR rep from a major string company get in touch with me to address my personal needs concerning my collection. WOW is all I have to say! Im very uneducated with music equipment, but these guys made it very easy to make an educated decision and purchase. Had to buy an amp for a gig I had, and I had no idea what I needed. They helped me figure out what would work, at a great price, and even demonstrated the equipment for me on the spot. Definitely your go-to-place for all things music. Have two boys taking lessons here. One is 7 and doing violin for the first time. Other is 9 and doing drums for the first time. Both of their instructors are great with the kids and my boys love the lessons.

Wow!! What a place. I have been doing business with them for well over a year and I must say, this is the best damn music store in Florida!! They have 2 stores now, the new one is in Venice. Both Jamie and ken are EXCELLENT and very helpful. Jamie is in the Venice store and ken (the owner) is in pt Charlotte. They have some of the best prices in town bar none and their staff is all very knowledgeable and professional. Im a bassist and I bought one of my basses from them and let me tell ya, the set up was perfect and not too expensive compared to say....troll music..I strongly recommend you stop in to either location if youre in the market for ANY instrument..... You wont regret it

In 1958 my parents gave me a blue Slingerland Swing Master drum set for Christmas. I sold it in the late 60s. Last year I decided to replace that set. I noticed that Ace Drums had a similar set on their website. Following a phone call to Ken Giunta we came to a price agreement. I picked the set up during a Florida trip. The set did not have original hardware such as a drum pedal, high hat stand and other stands. Over time I planned to find those. Ken took a personal interest in my project. Several weeks later Ken gave me a call to tell me he had a consignment set in the store than included everything I was looking for and again we came to a price agreement. As a side note, Ken and I developed a friendship that I value as much as my vintage drums.

Bought a great guitar at Ace Drums. Had a great selection and these guys really know their stuff and are fun to deal with. As they say I shall return!

Today I visited Ace Drums, and I was overwhelmed by the courtesy, professionalism, and the level of experience and expertise of Mr. Angel Bartolotta, not only as the stores representative, but also as a drum teacher and author of drum instruction books, including So You Want To Be A Drummer and Jurassic Drumming. After having myself been a drummer for over 50 years, as well as a drum instructor, I found his books top-notch. Also, beyond Mr. Bartolottas knowledge and professional background, the store itself has an excellent selection of high-quality percussion instruments at reasonable prices--new, used, and vintage. If youre a drummer/percussionist, do not miss the opportunity to visit this store. I rated this store 5 Stars across the board.

Was a loyal student for three years, and owner promised to take care of me in regards to a new instrument. New instrument turned out to be defective and refurbished. Owner refused to rectify the situation and became verbally hostile, unprovoked. Have incident on video. Separately, teacher was knowledgeable but unprofessional, talked badly of other students and otherwise wasted lesson time.

Sadly this store is like most local music stores: over priced and having little options to choose from. The brands they have to offer are limited and they have almost none of the premier drum brands you come to expect from a good drum store. Their cymbal selection is dismal and their drumsticks are outrageous like $10-15 a pair! Since its the one of the only stores thats local Ive tried to be supportive, but I have run in to major issues. I first bought 500 dollars worth of high end SKB drum cases (which took almost 2 months for them to order) when they finally arrived the lining of the bass and tom case ripped in about 1 month. I was told by the owner they had a full warranty, but after nearly 2 months of the cases being at the factory for repair I was informed I had to pay $250 worth of shipping to get my full warranty brand new cases back! This was the owner of Ace Drums telling me this! I have multiple other stories of Ace Drums inability to do good, truthful, and fair business. I am a professional drummer who has played for 11 years and with over 100 different bands, and I make my entire living off of music! I would not suggest spending any of your hard earned money here!
