I was on Vacation in Florida a few weeks ago. We had to go to Home Depot for some Items. I have to say it is amazing how different the people are. For some reason they are more friendly and helpful. They went out of there way to help us find what we were looking for. It was a pleasure. Some times it only takes a smile. The Home Depot’s in our Area should be like that.
Love the veteran discount. Before they had the parking lot repaved they had 6 dedicated veteran parking spots, is now 1 🤨

I had an excellent experience this morning from this store! I found everything that I was needing and when I went to the self-checkout Lane, Ben who works there bring all my items up for me. He didnt have to do it since it was a self checkout aisle so I wanted to recognize this young man for exceptional work. Thanks

Employees are nice and helpful. Stock is usually readily available and reasonably priced. We had an issue with our paint consistency and the paint employees resolved it without hesitation.
The service at the Portage MI Home Depot is exceptional. The staff does not hesitate to ask if you need help.Two associates helped me to find the items I needed.One went out of his way to show me the different sizes of pressure treated 2x4 available.
Went to Home Depot Portage Mi for paint & caulk for a shed that was installed…John in the paint Dept was amazing helping me choose the right products…didn’t realize he was actually off the clock & getting ready to leave when I approached him…he didn’t hesitate helping me anyway! Called to rent a truck two weeks ago.. Told the person I was planning on towing a 4500lb work trailer to Northern Michigan in a few weeks. Told me it was no problem but the rentals were first come first serve and to call the morning of.Called the morning of and now theyre saying I cant tow anything other than equipment rented from them. Now Im screwed. Thanks Home Depot. Guess Ill keep my rental money and my spending money and use it elsewhere from now on.

I wanted to make sure I gave a huge shout out to Ken who helped us in the lawn and garden department today. He was so helpful and kind. He even went and got us a cart which was so nice. I would highly recommend this store based on the one interaction we had with Ken. He was running around working but stopped for us and took the time to help!! Thanks Ken!

I was made to feel so uncomfortable at your store. Came in appox 7:30 am to buy a patio door roller assembly. 3 clerks watch me and my son in-law at the self serve check out. We came back about an hour later because the item came broken. We refunded it and picked up a new one and headed to self check out. While purchasing the item 8 notice the 3 clerks hovering near us. My son in law did not notice. My son in law decided to run up the aisle to get some screws. I waited at the self serve with the roller assembly and receipt in my hand. There I was question about my $13 item several times. Then one of the clerks reaches out to touch my receipt. I said to her, “I paid and I am waiting on someone”. She goes for it again. So I put the item and receipt in my purse. I said “whats your problem”. In my mind, she is offensive, its covid and attempting to touch me, and she is harassing me . She said “oh just wanted to see the receipt cause its its pink and I need to see which register u used. “I said “you know u watched me check out, it was the first one”. Then I proceeded to to leave the self checkout and head up the isle to my son in law. One of the clerks jots in front of me and I said, “he knows what he is looking for we don’t need assistance. But she jumps in front as I ams explaining to him that we should go, I fear for my life.He stop and we walked toward the exit. My son in laws says “‘do you check or I hope you check everyone’s receipt after you watch them check out”. And he said you have made us very uncomfortable in your store.I visit that store often, order online and use the pick up alot. Never again. Its not safe for African Americans woman.
Horrible and irresponsible. HD should not be allowed to take online orders. My delivery dat of my fridge has been pushed out a month. Now it sits in a warehouse 45 minutes away from me but the delivery team that they employ is so incompetent that they keep pushing back delivery dates. HD continues to use them even though it is well documented that they are failures! HD should just stop selling online.
I bought a jobsite boombox for like 35 bucks! Its lightweight and has wheels! Cant beat it! They also offer a huge assortment of RING products like cameras, lights, motion sensors etc.
Ive probably spent half the money Ive earned in my life here. Great selection, store is very easy to navigate and find things, and staff is always helpful when you need them to be!

This store had exactly what I needed. I have been looking for pegs to hold my shelf up and have been looking for them everywhere. Home Depot had them. The store was clean and fully stocked.

Knowledgeable and kind staff wish we had one in Battle Creek. They have equipment to rent that other stores like this in Battle Creek do not. Best experience Ive had with any store like this. Customer service is exponential. If this store was closer or we had one in Battle Creek it would definitely be my go-to store for any DIY home projects.

They will not honor the price when you show up to buy. Even when you have a manager approval. Prices are not the same from store to store. The worse retail business ever. Will not buy from them unless absolutely have to. Menards and Lowes are much better.
I dont like the mouse in a maze setup to force you through the whole store. It really sucks for us handicapped people.
Placed a special order that was delayed due to covid, purchased on a home Depot card. Order estimated 3 months out, no problem. When my doors arrived I received one call to let me know the doors had arrived. Due to time constraints I was not able to pick up the doors that week but no problem on the paperwork/contract I received the door would be held for 30 days. Well when I go to pick up the door guess what, its been returned. Home Depot changed there hold policy during the time I was waiting for delivery and never notified me of the change or never notified me of the pending return of my doors, due to the policy change. Now I have to invest more time into correcting a new situation with card services. On top of that I have to wait an additional 3 months for my doors.
Ordered online and they had my items ready. Covid safety practices are in place.

The assistant manager who works during the day was a real piece of work. Wanted to exchange a tool that was clearly broken and refused because I purchased online and not in store. Not sure if he wanted to boost his own store sales but he made me return my old one to get money back and buy back a new tool to “help” me. Even though when I had to warranty the same tool prior 4 times they never made me do that. This was just with this particular manager. I asked if there was someone else to talk to and he said “I am the boss around here.” Why would you say that? There’s definitely someone who signs your paycheck and I will talk to them about this incident. Now I have to make sure my “return” goes through on my credit card and not get screwed over by this guy.I will say shoutout to the other manager who was a much better and more helpful guy. The one today who made me argue with him for 45 minutes and say his “22 years of experience” knew more than I did about tool warranties really ticked me off. I hope he sees this and realizes they lost a customer FOR LIFE plus all my co-workers, family, and friends who all use tools I will warn about this store to not shop ever again. I think I will either buy my tools from Menards or go fully online for anything else I may need.It would be appreciated if someone from Home Depot corporate reach out to me about this terrible experience and this assistance manager who knew so much about tools and yet his other fellow managers were much more help to me in the past when I needed something warrantied.
Great customer service, terrible Behr paint. First time using Marquee line, love the colors but it keeps leaving bits of latex pieces on as we roll. Also, the tops of the gallon cans are plastic and when we opened the paint to use it a week after purchase it was already skimming over on top. Pretty colors but bad product!
Dont buy appliances. They use a third party shipping company that is impossible to work with, been without a stove for weeks. Canceling the order.Good people working here, but wouldnt make any major purchases here
Dude come ON I ordered a coffee table online and chose to pick it up at the store and the guy hands me a box, I think hey it’s pretty small but I guess it’s just a lot of pieces to put together. I get home and realize THE TOP OF THE TABLE ISNT EVEN IN THE BOX. I call and they say they have it there, employee didn’t realize it was 2 boxes. Really??? Didn’t think to check that? Come on man, I live 20 minutes away and have to make two trips now due to someone’s mindlessness. Seems small but it’s such a dumb mistake. Pay a little more attention 🙄

I checked on line before I went to make sure the item I wanted was in stock. Ive done that with other stores and it will say the item is in the store and once I get there its really not. Home Depot did have the item as promised online and Andy was very helpful in helping me to decide what else to buy.
I would like to give zero stars but i cant if i want to leave a review. Dropped off my Ryobi belt sander disc sander combo to them for possible warranty work. That is where Ryobi said to bring it. They were suppose to look at it and if they could not fix it, then they were to send it out for service. Well,,,, they just sent it out. They sent it to somewhere in Ohio. They said they cant tell me where, which is BS. Its going on 2 months right now. Parts are back ordered. I will never evr buy a Ryobi of any kind nor will i buy anything from home depot. Everyone has dropped the ball. If i could take it back for a full refund, i would.

This is how the Home Depot flooring contractors left my kitchen floor. Yes, they left and did not come back. They were supposed to install porcelain tile.2 weeks earlier, one of their appliance installation contractors broke my stove. They were there to install a microwave. Burned a blanket into the burner. Id give less than 1 star if it were possible.

The staff here is amazing, and always very helpful. They have just about anything you need, and if they dont, they are more than happy to help you figure out where you can find it (even if it is through a competitor). Store is always clean and organized, and it is very easy to find a staff member to help you out if needed.

During this pandemic we thought we wouldnt be able to safely get hardware supplies being I an high risk and we havent entered a store since this Covid came. Thank you home depot, for sending kind employees, with masks, every time in timely matter to us for curb side pick up. Because of that I rate 5 stars. There are typically items out of stock, however the great curb side pick up system made up for that ten fold. We have a small car and on one of our 20 trips to home depot we had them cut our dry wall board in two spots. It was a perfect cut, fit right in for our project with not cutting for us and also fit right in our car. Thank you for showing you care. I felt safe shopping at home depot during the pandemic, even being high risk.

DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT FOR INSTALLATIONS!!!DRF their installation company quoted me a price to put in a water heater then when the tech showed up he upped the charge by almost 100% after I took the day off to wait for him. There were a few fittings ($30 worth) that needed to be changed and I understood this and told him Id pay him. To protect themselves form Irate customers they tripled the cost of the water heater rather than quoting me $1200 for changing a few fittings. There is no way they would have spent more than a few hours on the job. The low price they quote you will almost certainly go up substantially and you wont know this until you waste your time. The final price quote they gave me had the price of a 29 gallon water heater at $1500.00, more than 3 times the price posted in the store. I recommend you find someone from the internet it will be cheaper, more honest and less time consuming.

Nice to have someone know what to do when inventory is low at that store. Chris M. helped me out by calling another store to secure more of the same laminate flooring I wanted. He and another associate made it so I could pay for it all at their store amd be able to pick up the rest I needed from another store! Effortless!

Never buy an appliance from Home Depot.They partner with a company called R.A.S. Logistics to delivery and install your appliances.And when this company, almost inevitably breaks something, Home Depot refuses to be responsible for their contractors in any way.If you do a quick search for R.A.S. Logistics (sometimes theyre called R.A.S. Delivery or other variations) you will find that on both google and yelp they have many angry reviews from people whose homes or appliances were broken in some way by R.A.S. Logistics.And yet, Home Depot continues to use them. They wont pay for the damage R.A.S. has done and they wont hold R.A.S. Logistics responsible for it either.I got off easy, with a broken gas valve, but some people have had much worse damage done. It isnt worth the risk. Dont buy an appliance from The Home Depot.I
Bought appliances from here. The delivery people they used showed up and hour before the timeframe they gave me and damaged one of the appliances while moving it into the room it was going. I advice AGAINST appliances from here unless you are picking up yourself.
Well that was the worst experience Ive had at a Home Depot. I understand that during a global pandemic, customer service may have fallen off a bit in every sense, but this was excessive. We knew what we wanted, and that we had to get plywood cut for the project. And we met a complete unwillingness to be helpful at every level. Most employees seemed annoyed that we were asking for help. Including the first person we asked for help, (a manager). We asked the garden center cashier for help. She said she didnt know anything helpful and told us to go ask a group inside. They were no where to be found. I started writing out every unhelpful (and once downright rude) interaction we had, but it got too long to be bothered. It seems that the employees of Home Depot are no longer knowledgeable about their departments, willing to help, and offering helpful solutions to problems. Instead, it felt like either incompetence or apathy, and its hard to tell which is worse. But after overhearing employees talk about all of their sudden schedule changes, Id hazard management is even more responsible for all of this than the general floor employees. Deeply disappointed and will just hope for better service at Lowes.
