I moved back home after being gone for 34 years, it 6 years but I finally found a great mechanic, everybody there is worth their weight in gold! Reasonable and honest guys...telling everyone I know.

My car broke down nearby here and I needed to get it fixed, so I towed it here. Turns out it was the timing belt. I was able to get it fixed by the next day.Fair pricing. Fast service.

Awesome place to get work done on your vehicle. Excellent customer service. Excellent mechanic. I took my car to another place in town they told me it was alternator and wanted 600.00 to repair. I thought it was outrageous took to buddy, awesome guy, at porterville automotive and he SHOWED me it was the water pump making noise. Charged me only 260.00 plus he fixed some other stuff on my car free of charge. I highly recommend.

Friendly and efficient

My daughter, sister and I were traveling from the North Coast of Ca for a wedding. On the way to the area our electrical (including air conditioning) stopped working. :( As you know, it is MUCH too hot to go without so we spent the day looking for a place to get it fixed. Porterville Automotive came highly recommended by locals. When we arrived we were promptly greeted by Tony who advised us to wait inside where it was cool, the receptionist was incredibly friendly, which was especially nice sense we were all VERY hot and grumpy. Within 15 minutes tony had fixed our car and we were on our way! They quite literally saved our trip and our sanity! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Our alternator went out while we were on vacation. Actually coasted into this shop on the last bit of power. They had come highly recommended by the locals at the grocery store. They had every opportunity to gouge me, but instead they installed the part for a total cost of less than what I would have bought the part for myself! On top of that, they had it installed in 20 minutes. I literally didnt finish checking my email by the time they were finished. Ive never had faster service. I will drive 100 miles to come here again. I cant recommend them enough, and Im a picky horrible customer.
