The store is very clean and well-organized. Their Thriftys ice cream is really delicious and its handy to order a cone from the counter. Sometimes when youre ready to check out though, there isnt a cashier to be found. They have some very unique items in their seasonal department.

Worst customer service.

I love the ice cream here and they sometimes have the ice cream tubes on special. I have been using the pharmacy here for a very long time (since they opened the store) and I have not had any bad experiences that I can honestly say it was their fault. Very professional and helpful staff. You are more then welcome to come and make your own experience and not go by a bunch of bad reviews that possibility where made while people where angry at the pharmacy because things didnt go as expected. Sick people, or people with sick people at home some tines have a short fuse. Lol

Wouldnt even give one star. Waited with my mom for 40 minutes after being told twice her prescription would be right out. Left without her prescription. Totally unprofessional, she called it in at 11am this morning and the auto message said it would be ready at 1:45pm. Safe to say were fed up and luckily the CVS pharmacy we know has better staff and they are always quick to help people out so we will be going there from now on. Bye Rite Aid.

Good ice-cream too bad for the horrible customer service. Walked in and as i am walking up to the thrifty ice-cream post the two employees are discussing cleaning. Okay cool, they mention that they will be cleaning and will be with us shortly, then proceed to put a closed sign. They both go off to do other things, about 15 minutes after one comes back and starts filling out paperwork. We are still being ignored until the other lady comes back and rudely states that next time we come in and see that sign it means it is closed.. when she was the one who told us to wait in the first place. This is not the first time i am badly approached by this rude employee (a dark haired lady with a little pony tail and a tattoo on her left forearm). I should not have to deal with that kind of attitude just because she hates her job, that is a personal problem.

Ladys here are so rude! they didnt want to help me look for what i was looking for, instead she said have me a dirty look! customers always come first !

Stop here to get my kids an ice cream before we left town & I was shocked at how bad this place has gotten. The toilets were clogged, there was tissue everywhere & there was a homeless person inside the restroom emptying out there cans & bottles then they literally started to wash themself in the sink & there ice cream bar area was dirty & had died flys laying on the inside glass cover. This is completely disgusting & Im not coming back to this place ever again, definitely not recommended!

A Good Store!

Unbelievable. Prescriptions are so often NOT ready when youre told they would be ready. Sometimes its an issue of needing updated insurance information yet you are never, EVER called when they have a question about the insurance (which is, you know, why you are asked for your phone number...).Today I had left the house only to hit the doctors office and then pharmacy, and when I got to Rite Aid I was told that I could either wait...for 40 minutes...or come back and it would be 6:30 when my meds were ready. My husband went to pick them up for me, didnt get there until 6:45 and SURPRISE they werent ready. Again. But apparently didnt know what time they were supposed to be ready. Despite me going in there and speaking to them in person, because one of the meds was a paper script.If I didnt need these meds ASAP, then I would have told him to come home and wed collect them tomorrow.Lets not even get started on the drama (yes, drama. Because it was like a high school fight) between them and CVS on West Henderson that made transferring patients a TWO WEEK endeavor.If they werent literally the ONLY place that I could get my meds (short of going out of town) Id have been out of there ages ago.

Worst pharmacy ever. Rite Aid lost a 16 year customer. Their Customer service is beyond bad. We live an hour away in the mountains and they have caused us numerous unnecessary trips, messed up prescriptions then lied bout it. We were evacuated due to a wild fire and I had accidentally left my BP meds behind. On the way to our destination we stopped here and told them. Oh we can give you only few pills to get you buy for a few days. We were evacuated for 10 days minimum! We continued on to our sons in another town where we explained the situation to the Rite Aid there. They gladly accommodated me giving me a months supply. I had to pay out of pocket, but at least I had my meds. The Porterville store could care less about your well being. After NUMEROUS issues over the last year and a half with this pharmacy we finally found another local pharmacy. After 2 weeks of attempts by our new pharmacy to get our prescriptions transferred they have ignored all requests and our Rxs are due shortly. Run away from this pharmacy and fast! Weve given up and contacted our attorney for help. Im tired of spinning my wheels and worrying whether Ill get our needed meds or not. Horrible service! Our doctor is not very happy with them as well.

My son is so sick 102 fever i cant keep it down and I went in to let them know I was going to wait for the meds because he needs them asap and the lady tells me they are going to lunch and to call back after 4pm called they arent ready.. then now there closed!! I will never go there again!!

When I come in I usually get ice cream. This store is generally clean and like getting their holiday candy at half off.
