Im originally from Reno, Nv and thus store i must say beats the one in Reno 1000 times over in available stock and products available The store in Reno for being a big city is only half the size and does not have such a good variety of things like the Porterville store.

What can I say, used to love them so so quality tools at a cheap price, now so so quality tools at a much higher price, more than the big box stores, sometimes hundreds of dollars more ie generators, battery powered mowers etc, 20% coupons gone, theyve lost there way, sadly. Come on guys, your Harbor Freight... (the Chinese outlet cheap tool store) stay in your lane

Harbour freight is a serve yourself kind of store but they could train their employees a little bit better I was told they didnt have an apron well I went to the store and I found said apron But all in all how can you be harbour Freight

Great store great service except the fact that they neglected to tell me I would need oil for the air compressor I purchased which is sold separately. Had to run out and find that today after reading the owners manual.

I have been to Harbor Freight & Tools in Lakewood, Ca & the one here in Porterville was a disappointment to me. Friendly service and all but it just didnt impress me with their inventory. Sorry but i expected more. I love 💘 this store with all its tools but was just a let down.

I usually dont write reviews. The store is nice and new with lots of selection. The reason I wanted to write this review is the last time I was there a customer in front of me was returning an item and he complained about getting 20% off a new and unopened item The staff didnt seem to care and just agrivated this local buisnesman. I am going to be honest in that I am going to have to think hard and see if I really want to buy big items here or have the protection of buying elsewhere.

I love this place

I really like Harbor Frieght and a will continue shopping here. I think over all the staff are polite. However, since we dont get the coupons in the mail any longer, staff should be more patient at checkout. If you cant do this then dont send out the discounts Id be better with that than feeling like Im being rushed. Or, just give an over all discount coupon. Ok enough with that, Ill still shop here.

This place would have been a great store. However, if you are trying to return items prepare to be ripped off. When my son and I went to different harbor freight stores, we didnt realize we were both buying an air compressor. So after returning it they hit me with a 20 percent restocking fee for something that I just bought 3 HOURS BEFORE. We never opened the box as we decided to go with the other compressor. It just sat in the truck bed for 3 different trips to the store as they needed the purchasers Id for a return. Even after confronting them on the restocking fee, they blamed it on corporate policy. However, on Harbor Freights website it says The re-stocking fee will be waived if any of these conditions are met: item is unopened and in new condition. If you might need to return an item, then save your money and go to the local stores or even the big box stores next door.

I went in to return some items.I was treated with such disrespect.The cashier which (I regret not getting her name)was plastic and foney.She, one other female employee,and the manager whos name was Roland were, whispering to eachother about me as if I were a regular thief that frequented thier store on a daily basis to steal.They were all dishonest,not giving me a straight answer which would have saved me and them atleast 30 minutes of the day.It was as if they were pleased with themselves and feeding off eachothers negativity.I will do all I can to avoid ever shopping at any harbor frieght store.
