Bloomsbury folks are great to work with. They have an incredible stash of high quality furniture and are very knowledgeable on all aspects of period furniture. We recently purchased a mid-century dining table, and they found a wonderful match of chairs to go with. Price was great. Delivery team was on time, courteous, and helpful. Five stars!

I really enjoyed my recent experience with Bloomsbury PDX. As a Brit who misses good antique stores, this Portland gallery was a delight. The pieces found there are beautiful (and plentiful!) and it’s a place which feels both curated and diverse. Frank is an incredibly interesting owner who wants customers to find the perfect piece for their home and is willing to help as much as he can, including stopping by the gallery to meet with customers and offer his insights.

Bloomsbury has an amazing selection of rare antiques on the first floor with mid-century modern on the second.We purchased a beautiful G-Plan Limba dresser with a few missing handles at an extremely generous discount from the owner. He even threw in a few replacement pulls which was very kind. The floor manager (Justin, I think) who originally sold us the dresser was welcoming and funny. I got the impression that he was knowledgeable about everything there.There’s no other place quite like it in Portland. Highly recommended.

Bloomsbury is one of the best antique shops in Portland! I was blown away by the quality and quantity of the artifacts in the store. Lots of unique furniture, art and collectible objects. The two floors are filled to the brim with antique and MCM furniture and art.Justin was friendly and helpful. After he explained to me where things were, he left me time to explore. When I needed help, he gave me his honest opinion and showed me pieces similar to what I liked. The amount of real antique Chinese porcelain is impressive. The owner Frank is very knowledgeable of the various collections he has and willing to share what he knows.It was truly a Portlandia experience, the entire staff treats each other like family. After work, everyone was hanging out drinking beer/whiskey and eating snacks. They love what they do and took time to appreciate life and people they encountered.

What a great place! We are so glad we found them right here in Oregon. After looking around the PNW and country for antiques, we found Bloomsburys website. The detailed photos and careful write-ups along with prices that were lower than most others nationally, quickly lured us into their warehouse of treasures in Portland. Justin greeted us and helped us find the pieces we saw online. After very helpful dialogue, we purchased the two pieces and then explored the rest of the show rooms - to buy yet another piece. Wonderful help, including having the pieces fixed and keys fitted for the locks on each piece. Highly recommend them. Francis and Justin are very knowledgeable and helpful. My partner and I came to Bloomsbury in search of a large mid-century credenza. Justin helped us find the perfect piece and we had a great time chatting with him about our furniture philosophies. Bloomsbury has an extensive selection of unique and beautiful, high-quality antiques and midcentury furniture. Their pieces are very well-priced when comparing to similar or same pieces on First Dibs. The owner (Frank) and his employee (Justin) are incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and candid. My partner and I have been in a few times and have never felt pressured to purchase anything (though we just bought a beautiful coffee table!). We are looking at purchasing a desk from them soon. Definitely check them out if you are in the market for well-maintained, unique furniture.

I had the pleasure of working with Frank to modify some 3rd C. BCE Greek earrings so that they could be worn again. Frank selected a jeweler with considerable experience to add shepherd hooks to the pieces. Frank consulted with me on every step, including photos, and made sure the pieces arrived well-packaged and with their provenance paperwork included. I hope to have occasion to work with Bloomsbury again in future.

I was looking for rugs online and found Bloomsbury. Went in person and met Frank and got excellent help and was allowed to trial some rugs at home to see how they looked. Ended up buying 5 different rugs. Will definitely be back for other furnishings.

Frank is an absolute gem! Today was my first experience dealing with him in person and he is an extremely fair professional with solid integrity, not just the pretentious kind you find with most salesman of antiques. And to even use the word salesman in association with him is a gross word, as Frank is not a salesman, he is a master purveyor of his craft. The pieces you’ll find in his warehouse are simply exquisite!It’s lovely dealing with one who is so passionate about his work. It’s not just a business for him. It’s the blood that runs through his veins. He’s so willing to share and educate about periods and styles and the construction of certain pieces of furniture and art, the way they’re built, crafted, processed and ultimately perfected. This is of course, if you actually love to learn, as I do. He’s just a wonderful personality. I recommend anyone looking for fine pieces, to visit him in his gorgeous warehouse! It’s such a treat!

This has always been a great experience, but recently met the owner and have been remarkably impresses with his knowledge. experience and education regarding the beautiful antiques pieces and art in his store. We purchased a couple of tables one of which we needed buffed and one we wanted a glass protective top and all of those details were taken care of for us. This is a 5 star operation and we highly recommend you visit Bloomburys...

The owner is knowledgeable, charming and has a good eye.That said, his lack of follow through is a deal breaker.The promised repairs to a very expensive desk where never made, and after 5 or six attempts I just gave up and ha the repair work done elsewhere for an additional cost.I was promised a history and appraisal for a English piece -never got either.Charm is lovely but I would prefer reliability.

Frank was very helpful and provided a quick response about some furniture they had via email. When visiting their store they were very friendly and we found exactly what we were looking for. They had a great selection of period MCM pieces, all in fantastic shape. We ended up purchasing four items and they are looking for some additional pieces for us!

I love this antique store and come here often to immerse myself in beauty and history. The employees have an impressive depth and breadth of knowledge about each piece in the store. I learn more about fine arts craftsmanship each time I visit. It is the kind of store where you do not feel pressured to buy something quickly. Co-owner Frank is highly invested in an individual customer being happy with his, her or their purchase and is willing to work out personal payment plans to make a sale work for a buyer. I just bought the most beautiful china cabinet ca. 1880 here this week thanks to Franks flexible payment plan. Keep coming back and you will eventually find the antique you cannot live without.

Over the years, we have purchased several incredible pieces from Bloomsbury Fine Art & Antiques—an old iron English pub table, an antique coal scuttle, and an early 20th century ashtray stand. We always really enjoyed browsing in the shop. Thus, we were very disappointed when the SE Grand storefront closed. Over the winter, we were alerted that Frank and Hank had a warehouse in our NE neighborhood that was open for walk-in business. Last week we stopped in and were lucky enough to pick up a few pieces we had been searching for—an antique bedside table, a mirror, and a wooden letter rack. Frank is incredibly helpful and patient, providing background history on their varied offerings. He even showed us items in Bloomsbury’s second warehouse. We wholeheartedly recommend checking out Bloomsbury’s broad array of unique quality furniture and furnishings.

Today I had decided to stop in and look around. Walking in and turned to the right of what looks like a warehouse full of beautiful antiquities.While there a guy springs up from the back and gives me the most unwelcoming look and I though maybe I was in an area off to customers so I politely asked if it was ok for me to be there? He proceeded to tell me that that is why the door is open and we have signs out on the street he continued to be smart about it and I could do nothing but turn around and leave. I am glad the door was open for my exit!I possible customer turned into non-customer, if that is what you want it... Congratulations!
