Our group had a blast renting from this company! everything was coordinated via text, so if you can look beyond that it really was worth the money. everyone was very easy going, and we were able to coordinate having a pontoon boat just days before. will definitely rent from them again!

Most unprofessional experience ever. Put down a deposit and then he told me he’d already rented the boat to someone else. So I took a different boat. Made the plans with my entire family, paid for parking, showed up at the boat ramp and he’s not there. Waited an hour, called numerous times, no answer. Finally got a text “We’re closed for the season, sorry”. Seriously!? Screwed over my whole family trip, no communication, no recompense for my trouble. Likely the most disturbingly unprofessional experience of my life. Fairly certain this guy is mentally ill. Terrible experience, do not bother.

Easy going guys and fair pricing. The process was mostly very easy. Could have used more upfront instructions on who we would be meeting and where. Had a great day out on the water on a pontoon boat. It wasnt the prettiest one out on the water but it ran good and met our needs. Id very much use PDX Water Sports again and recommend them to friends who want an affordable way to get out and have some fun on the water.

Google reviews must not be monitoring the fake posters. Our family had a fantastic time on the scenic Columbia River with PDX Water Sports. We rented Brandons Monark 205 Sun Lounger deck boat (see photos) and it runs great with a 130 hp outboard. With three passengers, we got a max speed of 30 kts and cruised very comfortably on plane at 22 kts. This is not a new boat and is missing its windshield, but it has a bimini shade and plenty of seating. The seat conditions and such are expected of an older boat, but we are here for the Oregon water experience, not two-tone leatherette. There is no online booking, so text PDX Watersports and the response is fast. Coordinating times and getting a price quote was super easy too.If you are used to renting from overpriced corprate operators, think of this as the opposite-- the hometown small business owner.Chinook Landing boat ramp has plenty of parking and is out of the Portland traffic/busy areas. If you are renting on the 4th of July or some other peak day, expect peak conditions at launch and on the river. We had a quiet summer Friday and the river all to ourselves. Deposit was returned within 60 minutes of getting back to the dock (and inspecting the boat and prop of course!).I would definitely recommend PDX Water Sports if you are an experienced boater looking for a great time on the Columbia or Williamette. I sense a lot of the negative reviewers are people who dont know much about boating, planing speeds, weight distribution, or safe operation of a vessel. Looking forward to doing this again the next time we visit Portland!

They were late to pick up the boat, we had to wait for them. We did not recieve our deposit back for unknown reasons. Horrible communication and unprofessional as a company. Just after your money kind of company. Not doing business with them again.

The Jet ski experience itself was AMAZING!!! Gary was great and very friend, the only thing Id advise to the company is that all pricing details should be included online. The $50 Fee for possibly flipping over the Jet ski, along with the $500 fee for the possibility of water getting into the engine was a total surprise (thankfully we didnt flip anything over.) Also they said the deposit was $500 although the website says $300 deposit, however they did honor the $300 so it all worked out. I just think there should be consistency with the Website and the actual paperwork we sign. Other than that, it was an amazing experience and Id recommend.

PDX Water Sports was great to work with. Their boats are well maintained, Ryan was super responsive and their pricing very fair. Best of all, they got us out on the water quickly and helped us back out at the end of the day so we could maximize our time. We will be renting from them again.

Not a good experience. He took the whole deposit for the jet skis, when there was absolutely NO damage. PLUS overall not good jet skis.

We were an hour late, due to traffic and our poor planning . However, this place took care of us .They planned what time we were going to be at the gate (even tho we were an hour late ) they extended our time an hour . Answered our phone calls accordingly and also were THE nicest people after putting them behind schedule and being difficult. I have to say, best customer service and will definitely be renting again from them very soon . I will also highly recommend anyone in the market looking to rent one . Affordable . Best customer service, and easy to work with . 15 out of 10 stars . LOVE

They were easy going folks. They let me take the jetskis myself to a place of my liking, and when my hitch receiver wouldnt make a ground connection for the trailer lights, he loaned me his. The vessels were solid and never gave us any problems. We were also late by a fair amount and he was amicable. Good service.

Good customer service, but very sheisty....i asked twice about the horsepower on the deck boat we rented. We wanted to wakeboard and knee board. Ryan told me in the phone that this would work fine for that.... then once he saw 6 of us, changed gis story.... Then, 2 of us stayed on shore for a bit to help, did NOT make a difference...The motor on boat sucked. Not the 130hp I was told. Had a blast on boat and river, but didnt get to do the wakeboarding as planned...very slow boat.😢

Not sure they are still in business. Have tried their phone number multiple times over the past week and never get an answer and there isnt voicemail set up. Website has no other way to contact them.

Horrible experience. Trailer was bad, winch was stripped. Boat quit working, we got stranded and a good Samaritan rescued us cause rental company wouldnt. Only refunded $100 and we lost over 1/2 of the day.

I had to wait because last renter was late and they have to deliver each boat to the water but everyone had fun. I’d go back and rent here again while its still summer!
