Before I brought my bike here I was ready to give up on riding forever. I was struggling with a department store bike that was assembled poorly. When I picked my bike up, it was like a whole different bike... Im so happy they adjusted and realigned my gears and did a full tune-up. Now riding my bike is fun, easy, and an absolute joy.The service is fantastic and fast. They explained why they did everything, but never made me feel stupid. (other shops have) I will 100% return to this bike shop for all future repairs. In fact Im dropping my daughters bike this afternoon for a tune up.When I am ready to upgrade my current bike I will be visiting these guys to get it.

They were outstanding. I took my old bike in to air the tires and buy a seat. They informed me of some other deficiencies and advised me to get those fixed asap due to safety while riding. Their prices are more than fair. They are very professional and courteous and yet not pushy. They definitely take pride in their work which is something that I look for when having someone work on any object of mine.

Spoke to someone at the shop about a warranty repair on a 6 week old bike. His rear hub bearing is making noise. I cited the warranty coverage for my 13 year old sons Fuji bike as obtained from the Fuji website. Despite this and that the warrant coverage is 1 year, the guy on the phone refused to acknowledge the coverage and stated I would be charged 45 dollars to rebuild the hub. Attached is the warranty policy for review. The bake has been ridden on paved and dirt walking paths. Maybe they are uoset that I didnt buy the bike from them (they didnt have one and I had to drive 3.5 hours away to find the only version of this bike in a 500 mile radius. I reached out to 28 dealers to find it).

These guys are awesome. I purchased my mountain bike here and have them do all the upgrades, service, and repairs. They are very fair and honest.

I’ve gotten my bike serviced twice at NWProGear, and I’ve been very satisfied both times. The staff is very knowledgable, friendly, professional, and polite. And best of all, they are very prompt. Both times I put my bike in for service, they were finished well ahead of the initial times they had told me. After getting my bike serviced this morning, it rides like it is brand new again. Their prices for service are also very fair and appropriate.I travel all over the country, and this has become one of my three go to shops where I know I can trust the techs to do the job well. One of the best bike repair shops in town

We stopped in this morning because the shop we planned on going to was closed. We are so glad we did! All the guys working there were amazing, they quoted our repair to be done by Wed and called around 1230 to say it was done. We are very happy and will go back to support a small, locally owned business.

Took my bike in for repairs. Was expensive but the bike runs great. Had to return for minor adjustments and they were very accommodating and fixed it on the spot. Max was nice and helped with everything prior and after service. 10/10 would recommend.

They are very helpful. They went out of there way for me. I took my bike in to get the wheel trued and they tightened and adjusted my breaks basically did a whole service. They let me know about my chain and rear derailleur and they showed me so I knew they are very honest. I will go nowhere else from now on..

Everything was great and everyone super helpful. The only negative experience I was had was one of the workers wasnt wearing a mask. The shop is very confined and everyone else was besides a particular man. I guess he doesnt care about the community he serves. I honestly probably wont be returning die to this as I would not like to get COVID.

Great bike shop with an old school feel. No frills here. This is a service oriented, no nonsense shop with very fair pricing running both directions as they buy and sell used bikes. I wish I had found these guys years ago!

I had such a fantastic experience here! The owner of the shop is incredibly friendly. The shop is clean. And they have a good selection of gear and bikes for the size of the shop. I sold an old bike here for a very fair price and also bought some new tires for my current bike. They even helped me install the tires for free!Id very highly recommend this shop!

It was a good experience all in all the have a good selection of tires and love the new bike lock i got from there and it also helps that its only a few blocks from were im staying at. The only issue i had there was they did not have the exact dimension of bike tire i was looking for which is 26×2.12 and 26×2.25 and also all metal/alloy mt bike finders that fit my 26 inch trek 930 single trek

I dont trust these guys every time I get something fixed it turns out worse than before. Also they do shady stuff like buy wheels and the like even if its stolen.

Extremely unprofessional. We went to try a used tandem bicycle at their shop, which was advertised, and decided the next day to buy it. I asked them to fix the chains (which I would pay for, and they agreed when we were at the shop). They committed to selling me the bike and completing the repairs for prices we had agreed on. Meanwhile, I passed on another tandem we had looked at elsewhere and was deciding between (which has since been sold). They discovered that a rim was cracked on the rear wheel, and called to tell me it would not be available at the agreed upon pick-up date while they replaced it. I agreed, and checked back in the following week. They again said they were delayed, but it would be available within a week. I waited again, and then called them again (they never called me), and found they had sold the bike to someone else. At this point my alternate bike has been sold, and we’ve missed the biking trip we had planned on, and we have no bike. They didn’t even bother to tell us they sold the bike out from under us and broke their word to us. We at no point asked them to do anything other than sell us the bike in the condition stated for the price advertised, and repair the chain foe a price they chose and we agreed to. Extremely disappointed by such unprofessional service.

Wow NwProGear is my new favorite shop I live out in WA and it’s worth for me to make the drive down to them! I have purchased 3 bikes both new and used from them and every time the service and the advise has been amazing, my wife and are are extremely happy with our new bikes that we take out for rides As often as we can, helps us stay in shape and it’s good for my knee, I have had an injury and this is helping me recover and build up straight. They have also helped me restored one of my older bike and made a couple suggestions that made it ride better then It was new! Even if your not close they it’s worth the drive! They don’t have a huge selection of closing or shoes In the store but they can order things for you if it’s not in stock. Highly recommend the shop!

As I was checking out I mentioned a small upgrade I was planning to do, and not only did they have the extra parts I needed, they were able to do it for me in about 2 hours for an awesome price. Bought a used bike from Craigslist and brought it into the shop to have it looked at. Dimitri inspected it and was great at explaining what needed to be done. They repaired it for a very fair price and were fast as well! Will definitely be going back for any problems in the future.

Purchased a older Schwinn Traveler as a birthday present. I had NWProGear rebuild the bike and install the components I wanted - new bar, pedals, brooks saddle, brooks grips, new brake pads and lines, fenders, lightweight wheels, tires, etc... everything to make the bike look new but still retain the vintage look. The result was amazing. Family is loving the bicycle. I would definitely recommend this place! Thanks again!

Got a flat tire while riding along the I205 path about seven miles from home. Luckily, was able to pull out my phone and locate this place, less than half a mile from where I was. Rolled in there on a Sunday afternoon, and was walking back out ten minutes later with a new tube, ready to continue my ride. Very friendly, fast service and fair prices. Ill be back.

This shop is amazing! I have now both purchased a used bike from NWProGear as well had them assemble a custom bike that I ordered. Not only was the used bike in great shape and for a fair price but they also went over the bike and replaced any part that had more than normal wear, a free 3 month warranty as well as free tune up and adjustments in that time frame. My custom bike that they assembled came damaged and with some issues, once we worked through a resolution they did an amazing job making everything exactly how I wanted it. They are honest and care about their customers as well their turn around time is fast! I dont see me going to any other shop anytime soon!

Seems like a nice bike shop. I sold them two childrens bicycles and a womans bicycle. The fellow looked up the bikes on Craigslist, showed me the ads he was seeing, and said they typically offer about half that price. I just wanted to get rid of the bikes with as little fuss as possible, and I didnt want to deal with Craigslist, so that was fine by me. So: if you want top dollar, youll probably have to go through the effort of selling them yourself. But if you just want to clear out your basement, this store was quick and transparent.They do require proof of purchase. I think all bike shops in Portland do, to make it harder to sell stolen bikes. I had the receipts for two, and called the original store to get the third. All done in an afternoon.Five stars because they seem like nice folks. When things turn out pretty much the way you expect, and people are straightforward, its not thrilling, but its the way things should be. Im not going to ding someones rating for that.

Nice labor and nice prices

I moved to Lents recently and was thrilled to find a quality bike shop in the neighborhood. I do a lot of my own wrenching but there are certain things I either cant do or dont want to do and its great to have a shop right down the road. Theyre well stocked with parts and accessories and Ive had to run over there mid-project on more than one occasion to grab small parts I needed, or replace things I clumsily broke.Best part is that these guys know mountain bikes! They all ride MTB, and are comfortable working on my newer full suspension... Not the case for other neighborhood bike shops Ive been to in the area. Theyve helped me out with hydraulic brake bleeds/tweaks/upgrades, and recommended/installed an awesome upgrade to replace my creaky press-fit bottom bracket... Not a sound from the BB after months and months of hard riding.

I love these guys and this place. they were really helpful when I was shopping for a bike, they answered all sorts of questions. when I asked why their new Fujis were so much less expensive then a surly, they were really honest when saying that the only reason the Fujis were less money is because surly is a brand name thing and that even though they sold both, they didnt try to up sell me. I ended up getting a used bike bike from them and it is SO SMOOTH. even more of a smooth ride then some of the new bikes I tried out. they did an AWESOME job fixing this bike up.and lastly, sometimes us lady bikers get talked down to in bike shops, not the case here. this is where I get my bike tuned up and where i bought it. goong in is always a great experience.

No matter what your bikes mechanical issues are, with their expertise at NW pro gear they will diagnose and fix any problems your bike used to have. Every time i go for a tune up i leave with a solid precisely working bike like new.

Great shop and staff, Dimitri is knowledgeable and very low pressure. I purchased a pre-owned Specialized Crosstour recommended from NwProGear to make sure that I truly was into cycling before I invested heavily in the sport. My bike needed a tune up. The gears would not shift properly, and the brake cables were rusted out and locked up. I brought it in to NwProGear. They took care of it, made all the adjustments, installed some new cables and finished all the repairs the same day! I was amazed. The other bike shop I called told me it would take almost a week to get my bike back. Thank you NwProGear, I will be sending all of my friends and relatives here.

I was looking for a winter bike and found a great 2008 Serotta on Craigslist at NWProGear.The whole transaction was so easy. Vitaly was the person I worked with and he was very flexible and accommodating. I am very happy with my purchase and will send my cycling friends.

Wasted my time. They say they buy bikes with the original receipt, but if you have the original receipt they tell you they dont buy bikes from stores. The ONLY bikes I saw in the store were brand new Fujis. Add to that the fact that the man working seemed utterly confused to have customers in the store and I would not recommend this shop.

Recently bought a Vintage Nishiki Road Compe from NW Pro Gear. Really beautiful bike. Great service. Test rode the bike then came back to buy it the next day. They were flexible with their prices. I took the bike for a spin around the block after I purchased it and go figure managed to find a staple. I walked the bike back in less than 5 minutes later and he tried to find me a new innertube to comp me but didnt have the right size. So he patched it for me instead. Taking the bike back in today for some minor adjustments. Really great service so far. Cannot stress it enough.

Took my sons BMX bike to have brakes adjusted and was met with fast and friendly customer service. Vitaly did great job and even replaced a bad brake cable. I was notified the following day that my bike was ready to be picked up.Met with Dmitry and he showed me a very nice BMX that he had for sale. I walked away a very satisfied customer with now 2 BMX bikes for my boys.
