Absolute cutest shop and everyone was super accommodating! Rachel was my stylist and she was quick to make me feel comfortable and stress-free during the process. Very informative and sincere helping me find the right dress! Even a week after my appointment, they are quick to communicate my dress production with the designer and still very helpful even after I left the shop!

My experience at a&be bridal shop was better than I could have ever imagined! Tatum was an lovely and caring stylist and so patient with me! She knew all of the dresses in the shop by heart and was able to coax enough details out of me to find exactly what I was looking for (something even I didnt know yet!). All of the dresses to choose from were gorgeous, particularly mine. :) The vibe in the shop was peaceful, calm, and stress-free. I had the most wonderful experience here! It was my first time trying on wedding dresses so I was not expecting to find the one that day. However, I ended up walking out with the most beautiful dress and an incredible experience. My bridal stylist, Kendall Quinlan, was an absolutely amazing. I dont know how they match brides to stylists, but this was a match made in heaven! We ended up having so much in common which made it feel like she was just one of my friends helping me find a wedding dress! When I finally made a decision about my dress, she broke out champagne to celebrate the decision. It was a really special day for me and my family, and I have Kendall to thank for that!

I had such a great experience at a&bé from start to finish. I made my appointment about a month in advance, they called a month out to ask questions and sent me the link to their Pinterest board that had all of their available dresses on it. I loved going through these and picking out ones I knew that I wanted to try on! They called me again a couple of days prior to my appointment to make sure I was prepared, and the appointment itself was a dream. Kendall took the time to get to know me and what I wanted out of a dress, and then she was there every step of the way to find out what I liked and didn’t like, and we ended up finding my dream dress. I had such an incredible experience with a&bé working with Emily. I am a street size 18 and was definitely nervous about how that would impact my wedding dress shopping experience.Emily did an incredible job selecting dresses that I loved and that had samples that I could get into. Only one dress she pulled was too snug to get over my hips and she swept that dress out of the room so quick it was like it didnt happen. The dress I chose was the last dress she pulled for me and it is absolutely perfect.Additionally, she has been great communicating with me about rush options for my dress because we are getting married in 6-months.Cannot say enough good things about this experience! I had a wonderful time trying on dresses at a&bé! I came with my mom and a friend and we all enjoyed working with Lauren very much. I ended up going with a dress at a different bridal shop at a later date, but I had the best time here - Lauren is so talented at her job and was able to narrow down all the dresses I was interested in (and there were a lot!!) into a curated collection of about ten that I had the time to try on that day. She was great at intuiting what I was most interested in and what wasnt as important. I had a great time chatting with her the whole time and she made me feel completely at ease. I wish I could give this shop 10 out of 5 stars! The shop was beautiful, and Emily was so amazing to work with. We immediately bonded over our home state of Minnesota, and she really made an effort to get to know me in order to help me find a dress. Emily was willing to help me even days and weeks after my appointment when I had questions. I ultimately ended up purchasing a dress from another shop only because of price, but this was by far my favorite bridal appointment. I will say Emily was very respectful of my budget and made sure to never push me or pressure me to go over budget or purchase when I wasnt totally confident, and the shop has a wide range of options that will fit any budget! Would 1000% recommend getting your wedding dress at a&bé Portland!

I am so happy that I went to A&Be to try on wedding dresses. I went to a few other places around town, and it just felt like they were just looking to make a sale and not help me find my dress. I would tell them my budget and they would continue recommending dresses outside of my price range. At A&be that didn’t happen. I saw a dress I loved and the first thing my stylist, Emily, said was that was above my price range, but we have something similar in yours. Honestly, there was a dress I tried on at another bridal shop that I tried on at A&Be and I almost purchased it because I was much happier at A&Be.Emily was never pushy and instead was a fun personality that I felt completely comfortable with. I was able to be honest about the dresses and she listened. After trying on numerous dresses that were so close, Emily found a dress that checked all the boxes and was perfect. I was even able to wear it twice due to the pandemic and loved it both times. I definitely recommend A&Be if you want to be stress-free and have a great time trying on wedding dresses.

Where do I even start? This shop was AMAZING, the stylists were INCREDIBLE and they made my day MAGICAL. Tatum was a fantastic stylist and I loved every minute of working with her. Emily was so wonderful to work with over the phone and via email. I found my dream dress, but that was really just icing on the cake - my appointment was everything a bride could hope for. Additionally, I am a queer, plus sized bride. There were plenty of dresses in my size, and they didnt even blink twice when I brought my partner with me to help find a dress. All parts of me were welcomed. 10/10!

I had such an incredible experience at a&be bridal shop! First off, the store is so cute it was the perfect environment to try on dresses! They curate a beautiful collection of dresses in so many different styles even for a small boutique. Tatum my stylist was so amazing. As I tried on dresses, she would note what things I loved and didnt love about each dress, and then would go and find ones that took those details into account (silhouette, neckline, detail work) until she found my perfect dress! The gals at a&be made this process so seamless for me and my family! I came in having a vision of what I wanted in my wedding dress, and thanks to Emily’s expertise, I ended up trying and LOVING a dress that was literally the polar opposite of what I thought I wanted. I didn’t feel pressured during my initial appointment, and they kindly squeezed me in a second time the subsequent day so that I could sleep on the big decision and try the dress on again the next day before purchasing. Out of the three bridal shops I went to, this was by far the most fun (and least stressful) of all. I can’t emphasize how wonderful my experience was here, I highly recommend it for any and everybody searching for their special dress!

I visited a few bridal shops in Portland and some other cities and can honestly say a&bé was by far the best experience! The vibe of the boutique is fun & modern and the staff, especially Tatum, were amazing. Everyone made me feel welcomed and comfortable.Similar to another review, they called me ahead of time and asked questions about what I was looking for. Different from other shops, I didn’t have to repeat my answers upon arrival, they listened to me and were prepped. They also provided a Pinterest link of all the dresses they had in the store; I found this very helpful as it allowed us more time trying on the dresses I liked rather than rooting through the racks (which you still have that option to do).I can’t recommend Tatum enough. I am a very indecisive person, but she took the time with me through the entire process, helping me discover what I liked (and didn’t like), and provided honest feedback without pushing her personal opinion. I wasn’t able to have friends come with me, but it didn’t feel like anything was missing with Tatum’s guidance and support!

I highly recommend this boutique! The shop is really pretty and beautifully decorated. They have the perfect selection of dresses, not too many that youre overwhelmed, and not too few that you have little to choose from . The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I loved the little details that went along with my appointment. Everything from having my name written on the front door to the sweet postcard I received a couple weeks after the purchase. LAUREN IS WONDERFUL. She is so so sweet and was very patient with me even though I didnt have a refined idea of what I was looking for. She made me feel very comfortable and shared in our excitement. We had a great experience here. My spouse and I are queer, and my spouse uses they/them pronouns and I wanted them to come with me to help me pick a dress. I was concerned about finding a boutique that would not struggle with their pronouns or be weird about the fact that we were already married or they were coming with me to help pick a dress. ?Tatum introduced herself with her pronouns without being prompted, which immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. We tried on a ton of beautiful dresses, and Tatum was great at helping me figure out what I felt most comfortable in, and what made me feel most like myself. We never felt rushed or pressured, and we ended up picking a gorgeous dress that I cant wait to wear on our wedding day. It was beyond meaningful to find a shop that validated my spouses gender and treated us with respect. I also really appreciated that there were no super gendered phrases plastered around like at some boutiques—no she said yes or overtly feminine decorations. This is a great shop to try if you are queer and/or a nontraditional couple and looking for a place that will respect and value that. Thank you Tatum!!!

My girl TATUM at a&be totally rocked my bridal appointment and made our experience the BEST EVER. I was able to reserve the largest fitting room area for my group of 6 who flew in to help pick my wedding dress. Definitely give yourself 90 minutes or book two appointments because they have a LOT to choose from and tell you the back story on every designer before trying things on. I was so impressed with this studio! When I arrived my name was on the door which brought me way more joy than it should! It is so beautiful inside and really makes you feel at ease as soon as you walk in. I worked with Lauren while I was there, and she was amazing. She listened to my exact description of my dream dress, and low and behold the first dress she picked was the one I landed on! Additionally, I felt no pressure while I was there to buy anything. Overall, it was a perfect wedding dress selection experience.

Found my dream dress here! My consultant, Lauren, was absolutely delightful. She stayed within my budget for every dress I tried on and was able to progressively narrow down my style and taste which ultimately led me to my dream dress! A & Bé were very transparent with the pricing and timeline after I chose my dress and provided a detailed breakdown of the cost. I cannot say more about how I loved my experience here! Other than the fact that I finally found THE dress, my stylist Emily made my experience so easy and relaxed. To start off, it was a super easy process to visit. I just booked my appointment online and got a call a bit after to talk more about my style and other info and that was it! I went to my appointment solo and facetimed my mom and it was super chill and comfortable, which was exactly what I wanted. The most important thing for me was I felt that Emily really listened to what I had to say, helping define my conflicting style and put into words exactly what I was looking for. I just remember thinking in the middle of my appointment about previous stylists Ive visited that (although well meaning) were just putting me in styles they thought I looked good in and didnt really listed to what I wanted. I was worried it would be a repeat of that kind of experience and I am so so so glad to say it was the complete opposite! Emily truly made this such a positive experience for me. I love that I was able to find my dream dress but what really made me feel understood and celebrated in that moment was Emily and I am so happy that I chose a&bé.

Lauren was a huge help for both my first and second appointment. She was able to keep the appointment flowing and constantly asked what I liked and what I didnt like, in order to inform all of her picks for me. Awesome shop for a bride who likes a more modern look and feel. It was nice that not every single dress was covered in lace like some other stores.

Chase is an awesome consultant and a&be is such a cozy, inviting, trendy and perfect shop to go to for your bridal needs. I hate shopping and this was going to be what I thought was my least favorite part of my wedding experience. Chase had the perfect balance of offering guidance but letting my own intuition lead the way. They also do an extremely thorough job of giving you a guided tour of all the different gowns they have in the shop so that you are educated before jumping into trying on. Loved them! Lauren was efficient and quick at completing my contract as well. I shopped around at multiple other bridal salons in the area and ended up cancelling my appointments at all of them. The reason was a&be was responsive to me from the beginning, gave me tons of catered attention before I even arrived, and I felt like I was walking into an experience instead of rolling up to try on everyday wear. LAUREN! 5 stars, easiest decision! I arrived really only knowing that I didnt want sequins 😂, and Lauren took the time to educate me and my girls on all the designers they carried and we narrowed it down from there. She was so professional and took note of every detail (literally wrote down on her clipboard) every ooooh, awww and omg and buttons! my mom had buttons on her dress! during that process and knew exactly what to bring me as I tried on several options. What I loved is that they were all so different but she never made me feel like we were wasting time on a dress, every decision was intentional, so we could rule some out and feel confident and secure knowing we tried ALL the options. I knew instantly that she was going to help me find the dress of my dreams. Lauren not only knew every detail about the fabric (crepe, swoon!), flow, design, and trend -- she got to know ME and what I felt GOOD in. And she is the queen of clipping you in and hugging all your curves 🔥 We kept narrowing it down and again, she was intentional about making sure we kept comparing each option to the ONE as it got closer. Then, when it was time to decide she busts out the most gorgeous veil and accessories and I felt like an absolute showstopper ✨. She says wait for the dress that gives you butterflies and she nailed it. Cant recommend a&be enough, work with Lauren, shes the real deal!!

I came into a&bé thinking I was just going to casually try on dresses, as I’m from Alaska with little opportunity for wedding dress shopping. Oh my gosh! I dont even know where to start. I called in last minute for an appointment. Emily answered with such joy and was an absolute sweetheart. She set up an appointment same day for me--I was stoked. When I arrived Lauren made my experience so comfortable and FUN. She asked me all the most perfect questions and is so knowledgeable in this field. I was blown away and so appreciative for this being my first dress shopping experience. We walked though the entire store and chatted about what I liked and didnt prefer. Then Lauren set me up in a dressing room and picked out different dresses for me...and SHE NAILED IT! The first dress was the one, hands down--and this just speaks to her attention to detail and expertise. She had me try on a couple more to make sure it was for sure it. There was no question--I didnt want to take it off. AND I did not expect to buy a dress that day, so be warned--you may find it here first try! Hahah. Lauren was patient, super communicative + friendly, and literally like she was my best friend helping me find a dress. I am so thankful for her and the team at a&be for an unrivaled experience! Thank you so much for helping me on my happily ever after adventure!

I had a great experience at a&be and would highly recommend to all Portland brides.Emily was my consultant during my first appointment and immediately made me feel so comfortable. I had decided to try on dresses alone and would highly recommend - it took the pressure off finding “the dress” and really forced me to form my own opinions about what I wanted in a dress. I also appreciated the number of size inclusive dresses carried in store as it really helped to visualize what dresses look like on a curvier body, rather than trying to squeeze into a sample size.After narrowing my choice down to two dresses, I came back with a friend and had Jenny as a consultant. Even though I tried on each dress several times AND had to come back for a third appointment to finalize my decision, Jenny was super patient and helpful with all of my questions. At no time did I feel any pressure to purchase my dress from a&be which was unique from other dress stores I shopped at in Portland.So thank you, Emily and Jenny, for the great experience at a&be and I can’t wait to get my wedding dress!

I had an incredible experience at a & be’ bridal shop. Emily was an amazing bridal consultant to work with. She first walked me through how the appointment would go, then we were able to walk through the store and look at all the dresses while she noted what I liked. When I tried on the dresses, it was fun and easy. Emily knew exactly what I was looking for and pulled beautiful dresses. One thing I especially loved was there was no pressure to find “the one” during my appointment. Emily was so easy to work with, and it was apparent she was there to help me see a range of dresses and narrow down what I loved. I’m so grateful for my experience trying on wedding gowns with Emily at a & be’. We will 100% be back in the future when my sister begins looking for wedding gowns. One last thing to note is I wanted to stay on the lower end of the price range of the dresses carried at a & be’, and Emily still managed to pull 7 or so dresses in my price range that were gorgeous. I never felt like my budget was holding me back from finding my dress at a & be’. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this shop and highly recommend it!

Trying on dresses you will never feel pressured or like you’re being sold. For someone who doesnt like a lot of attention, I felt like the team was authentic and genuine with their comments and feedback. Highly recommend! Oh, and the dress selection is top notch! Cheers to a&be! All I knew prior to wedding dress shopping is that I wanted a modern-looking gown. In all of Portland, a&be is definitely the place to go for modern details! I came to my appointment with a couple dresses in mind. Im a very rational shopper who likes to be in and out quickly, so I figured Id just grab one of my selections that looked the best on. Chase greeted me at the door and happily pulled the gowns I came in wanting to look at while letting me view the whole collection. Chase perfectly matched my personality, respected my budget and even when I was struggling to put into words the minutia of what wasnt working with a gown, she quickly pulled something similar that actually worked much better on me. Of my top three gowns, Chase ended up pulling two of them (and The One!) after helping me reflect on what I liked. I wouldve missed out on the dress I ended up picking if not for trusting her eye and listening ear. Im extremely happy with my purchase and cannot recommend a&be enough.

Great place to find a dress! I had the best experience. All the staff are so kind and helpful. There is no pressure to pick a dress but they make sure that you find the one that is best for you! Highly recommend!

I visited several bridal shops in the area and a&be was by far the best! I love the atmosphere they have created in their store, and their consultants are so genuine and caring. I was nervous about shopping for my wedding dress and at times overwhelmed by the process, but my consultant Jenny was so understanding and put me completely at ease. She was great at pulling the types of dresses I was looking for, as well as some fun palette cleansers that I would never have thought to try! It took the pressure off and helped me feel sure that I had seen all I needed to see before deciding on the one. I loved my experience and cant wait for my dress to come in! Thank you Jenny and a&be!!

A&be is the cutest shop by far that I went to out of a total of 5! I can definitely see why Ive seen so many girls go here to look for their wedding dress! I was told the dresses range from $1900-$2500 so Keely assisted me in shopping the sample dress selection they had to offer. They dont have a super large selection but I was able to find 4-5 dresses I loved but just werent the one. I will say out of all 5 shops I went to my experience here wasnt my absolute favorite. Its not that it was bad but I expected more since I personally knew so many people who got their dresses here. Keely was helpful but honestly not super warm and sweet like the rest of the stylists who helped me at other shops. The stylist lets you look freely through sample dresses to choose what youd like to try on which ended up just feeling a little awkward to be honest. I dont think its Keelys fault and it may just be protocol for covid but the other shops I went to assisted me more in choosing versus just standing behind us watching quietly. I wouldve loved more interaction and conversation is all like I received at the other shops I visited. Again its not that I had a bad experience here but since I had the unique chance of visiting 5 shops, I thought itd be helpful to point out this one wasnt my favorite. If youre in a budget more like mine I recommend other shops more for sure.

Working with Keely at A&bé was so special. She listened intently to all of my wants and desires and cared for me so well. She was able to steer me toward my dress when I, myself, wasn’t even sure what it was that I wanted. Such a special place!!

I was a bride that had no clue what I wanted to walk down the aisle in on my wedding day...Literally no clue. But my consultant (Jenny) was AMAZING and helped me navigate this ordeal. She took what could have been an overwhelming experience and made it easy and relaxing! During my first appointment she allowed me to try on multiple styles and get the fit down. I then left and went to 2 other shops. Id also like to add that she was the only consultant out of the three shops that didnt pressure me into getting a dress that day! (seriously a game changer) I came back for a second appointment and Jenny helped me again. I thought I knew exactly what dress I was going to say yes to, but alas, I said yes to a completely different one! To say Im happy with my experience and dress selection at a&be is an understatement!! Thank you a&be for helping my find the perfect dress for my special day! :)Also, they are very safe and clean with social distancing for COVID!

I never write reviews, but felt compelled to after my amazing experience at a&bé bridal shop. They have a great inventory of beautiful dresses and I appreciated the COVID precautions implemented by the store to protect staff and customers.The stylist we worked with was a true professional. I never felt pressured to buy a dress and she asked me very thoughtful questions about what I liked / disliked in each dress before pulling the next one. It was efficient, genuine and I felt confident and happy about buying a dress there in one appointment.

Wow! What a terrific experience I had. Before you even arrive for your appointment, the stylist reviews your Pinterest to get an idea of your dream gown. When you arrive, they take you to your room. From there, they let you walk the boutique and tell them which gowns you like and why. They didn’t have the biggest selection but all their offerings were beautiful and unique. They also have good options if you are looking for dresses under $3000. The staff was all professional, genuine and fun! This was hands down my favorite bridal boutique in Portland.

Frankly this was a terrible experience. I walked out of there with my two friends and we all said in unison, What the heck was that?. I think it heavily depends on the salesperson you get. The one I had was very cold, bordering on unfriendly, and didnt seem terribly interested in helping me find a dress that would work for me, even though I said I was ready to buy that day if I found something. She started by laying down the ground rules to limit how many dresses I could try on. I went through the show room and selected probably 20 and she only brought 5 to try on and had very little guidance or input. Nothing was said overtly, but I got the feeling, she wasnt thrilled on finding a gown for someone that wasnt a size 2. I was asked in the phone call BEFORE setting the appointment what my price range was and I was upfront about what I wanted (around $3000 but open) and yet I was asked repeatedly how much I wanted to spend during the appointment in front of my friends, which felt very unclassy and honestly I had no interest in divulging how much i was going to spend to my guests. The whole thing just felt off and left me feeling down about the whole prospect of wedding gown shopping. Ill be looking elsewhere for a warmer reception and more helpful attitude.

To be completely honest, I was dreading the idea of shopping for a wedding dress for my wedding. I dont like shopping for clothes, and I have a unique body type that makes it really hard to find something that fits me perfectly. I went to a&be in Portland, because I knew their selection was more my style and what I thought I would like most.Upon arrival, my stylist, Keely, allowed me to walk through their selection and pick out the dresses I was interested in trying on. This was something I had not done in the other boutiques I shopped at, and was a detail I really appreciated because I got to go through their entire selection and see/pick what I wanted to try on, vs a stylist assuming what I would like by my description and only bringing me what they thought worked best. Brownie points for a&be, off to a great start.Keely, my stylist, was incredible. She helped me discover a whole new fabric material that I thought would never look good on me, and that it actually looked incredible on me, and it opened up a new type of style that I didnt expect to love so much. She also knew I really wanted a long sleeve dress and was able to provide fabric sleeves I could slip on over my arms and tuck into the dress I was wearing so I could see the dresses with long sleeves. Incredible. More brownie points and butterflies.Overall, even with new COVID guidelines, my experience was so positive, enjoyable, and something I really can look back on with happiness. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, and accommodated all my questions with grace. Im so happy to say that I found my dress at a&be, and would recommend EVERY bride in Portland come give this place a try.Thank you Keely for your help!

A&be made my wedding dress shopping process a breeze. I ended up visiting the bridal shop three time before finding my dress. I, being an indecisive person, knew that this was going to be the hardest part of my wedding planning process but my stylist, Keely, turned the process into something enjoyable and stress free.She got to know me personally and asked me thoughtful questions to help narrow down my vision, which at the time, was all over the place. She pulled pieces for me that I usually never wouldve chosen for myself and thank goodness she did because one of them ended up being the one! She helped me customize my dress to something that was unique to me and I cant wait to see how it turns out and to wear it on my big day.The lovely women at a&be bridal were so encouraging and supportive and I recommend this bridal shop to anyone who is looking for a fun experience (even during COVID). I couldnt try on one dress without a stylist walking by and commenting on how great I looked which was just what I needed to feel confidence during such an overwhelming process. I also had many phone calls/ emails with Emily and had the pleasure of meeting her at both my appointments and she was SO fantastic! 5 stars all around. I cannot say thank you enough to my stylist Lauren who was so helpful in finding the perfect dress! Honestly, I never imagined that picking out a wedding dress could be so fun and easy. I also never thought I would walk away with a dress after my first appointment! I came in with a small budget and a short timeline and she was able to quickly tell me exactly what dresses would work for me. Lauren asked thoughtful and precise questions that helped quickly narrow down my selection without any grief. She gave me space to think when I needed it and was super helpful with all of my questions. I originally had my heart set on a particular gown but Lauren pulled a sample gown that was a way better fit all around and was half the price! Not only do I love the dress, my whole family is in love with it too. I also really appreciated that she kept my fiancé entertained while I pulled on gowns. He was the only person I brought with me because of Covid restrictions and it was so important to me that he be there. Lauren turned it into such a special moment for us. Thank you so much Lauren! I am over the moon!

I had the best time with Leah today trying on dresses. I came in with NO idea of what I wanted as a dress, and she was so fabulous and great showing me different styles, designs, fits. I left with a dress style that I would have never pick! What a wonderful experience!

I had a wonderful time trying on dresses here! It is so beautiful inside and the whole experience was relaxed and stress free! Lexi assisted me and was very respectful in honoring my budget and vision! She made me feel so welcome and took the time to select dresses that represented me!! I was the only one in the shop and Lexi was very engaged in helping me find the right dress! Although I did not walk away finding my dress that day, I would definitely recommend adding this bridal shop to your list of places you should go!
