They have higher quality snacks than most places. I’m often surprised and delighted with what they have. They are nice! I really appreciate them.
Good store good beer great people!
Elizabeth, the owner, is very kind and attentive. They have a great craft beer selection and reasonable prices! Great place to stop in and grab what you need!
I’m so sad the owners did not close during this record heatwave. It’s 115 degrees and this store has NO air conditioning. The employee was in brutal conditions. Employee was kind, the store could use owners that care.
5$ minimum purchase for cards in 2021.
I arrived to buy pretzels and the older lady who is Asian with short grey hair no offense by describing her national background was very rude. Didn’t smile acted as if I wasn’t a customer but as if I did something wrong and I stole which I never did. She was very abrasive with me and reserved, had no polite manners. She was very nice to the last customer but not to me. I will not shop somewhere people don’t respect me as a customer who is a potential individual that brings in profit to keep their store open. The store also smelt like cats lived there and litter boxes were not cleaned. I won’t be returning to this store.
I have lived in this neighborhood for over ten years now just a short walk from this store. The old owners were fantastic. They were so friendly and polite and happy. They were great people. The prices were always too high, even higher then 7-11. The guy used to sit there all day with the till drawer open and never ring anything up, but if someone wants to try and cheat on their taxes, thats their business. They were very nice people. And there cant be a lot of profit margin for a place like this so I made it point to frequent their store. The new owners are dishonest and rude. I have had it with them. I will walk the half mile to the gas station or the 7-11 or even the Plaid on 2nd downtown before going back here ever again.
Great convenience store to grab beer, snacks and any other last-minute items.
Walked to this market from where I was staying to get a few things and was denied being able to use the restroom as a paying customer because of course there was even a sign stating no public restroom but I was a paying customer. Made the purchases when they did not deserve my money because I needed them and I will never come here again. Countless health reasons to why someone will need a restroom and I had one. Also the service was horrendous and the woman had such an attitude like you were unwanted in her home not that you were in a place of business.
Ive stopped here so many times I cant imagine this corner store without Swan Mart being there. Perfect location right as you enter/exit the downtown area to pickup drinks or smokes and whatnot at great prices. The owners are always really friendly and we make it a point to stop by here on the regular since a lot of us live close by.
The old couple that used to own/run this store were great. I have lived in the SW waterfront for about 10yrs, only a few blocks away. However, in the last year or two I have stopped going there. The new employees are always rude. Stopped to grab something this morning, and the old hippy cashier decided to just be rude for no reason. If the old couple has sold this place off, just level the place and build something else- or hopefully the new owner sells to someone who can run the store better. You cant be rude to customers when you have MULTIPLE convenience stores in the same area. I will hate to see this one go, but not if this is how they choose to run it now.
Consistently the best experience, great neighbor to have. Always a selection of cider and beer.
Used to love this place but the new owner has changed things and has lied to us on several occasions (saying she gets charged when my card chip was malfunctioning but PLENTY of money on the card). They have crappy drink selection. Theres a $5 minimum purchase amount. And on the first the ATM should be fully stocked but we could only pull out $100 (max amount per transaction ...??), then tired again and there was only $60 left in the machine. Poor business and customer service for a local store that we love (other than these things). Dissappointed but someone else will get our business, which is a lot.
Horrible place. Dirty inside and out. Attendant rude, racist, insulting. They need to be shut down!
My car broke down and I limped into the parking lot, smoke pouring out of the engine. After I had called the tow truck I realized the car was in a bad position and the tow truck wouldnt be able to reach it, so I tried to push it farther back into the parking lot (with my 11 year old gleefully steering) but the car was so heavy I couldnt get it up the gradient. One of the clerks at the market came out to help me push my car back.
Good place for beer wine old school place
Great store, really sweet owners!
A large bodega with the classic I’ll watch you closely because you’re not white approach to customer service. Yes, 1st hand experience.
Expensive and didnt warn me that using my card would charge $1 extra.
Amazing amount of good 🍷
This place let my wife use the restroom then DENIED SERVICE TO BUY ITEMS! I am contacting ACLU, BBB and the state attorney generals office tomorrow morning! THIS PLACE DISCRIMINATES!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Customer service sucks
Called to ask if they had an item. Woman say, ‘yeah’ and click — hangs up. Think I’ll go next door. Thank you.
