This had me sick for days. It was so sweet that me and my dad couldnt get through a single scoop. My teeth hurt and my stomach started cramping. The next day it felt like I had a hangover (and I dont drink anymore). In hindsight, the way that this melted wished I had never tried it in the first place. Ill stick with regular cookie dough.
I think this place has a really good concept idea, the cookie dough is good, but it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. Prior to visiting I was looking at pictures/the menu online and the scoops of dough are much bigger than what you actually get. If you are in the mood for a little cookie dough, can’t make your own or are traveling through, I would recommend this place. I would highly recommend purchasing the dough in containers to save for later, to make it actually worth your while and a bang for your buck.
Super delicious. I love cookie dough, so when in Portland I had to try The Cookie Dough Cafe. Oh boy it did not disappoint! I got some to go and some to try there, one of each flavor. The Oreo and Brownie batter were by far THE BEST! I wish they were more readily available in the stores around me.
Tastes pretty good. Love the idea of the business- however I feel like they could do more with it.. Its rather simple. But maybe thats a good thing 🤔?🤷🏻♀️Kind of expensive... didnt really last for saving the leftoversMy daughter definitely loved it though 👍
Way too much sugar. They added additional sugar sprinkled atop a scoop of cookie dough. Crunchy dough is not my preference
Husband got the doughwich and I got the brownie batter with vegan ice cream. Both TERRIBLY sweet. Had a couple bites of each and couldnt do it, had to throw it away unfortunately. If you REALLY have a sweet tooth this may be edible for you, otherwise if you are like me it was just not it.
Theres a local market here in San Diego we visit just to get a little container of Cookie Dough Cafe cookie dough. When we visited Portland, we were walking around one night and randomly walked by the Cookie Dough Cafe!!! We had no idea it was in Portland and we were so excited we had to stop. Even more delicious fresh from the cafe. We loved the team behind the counter, thank you for the stickers :)
Who woulda thunk that cookie dough and ice cream are amazin!? Delicious Im telling yall! 5+ stars. Also another plus: theres a rental bike rack directly across the street. Now time to bike off those doughy calories!
A fun mix of cookie dough flavors and ice cream flavors. Endless combinations.
The people who are complaining that its too sweet are literally 40, its the best sugary cookie dough youll ever have
If you like cookie dough, you NEED to try this cafe. They have a bunch of safe-to-eat-raw doughs to choose from not just chocolate chip! We got a 3 scoop for $9 and ended up having to take it home with us (they gave us a takeout lid, so nice of them). The dough-ista said we picked her top 3 favs: chocolate chip, brownie batter, and snickerdoodle. I had never tried snickerdoodle dough before, but now I really recommend it!They also have ice cream and cool dough + ice cream sandwiches that I want to try next time! It also says they do delivery and I’m definitely going to call them next time I have a cookie dough craving!
The place was very clean, the staff was nice. I wish they had a larger selection of cookie dough, but it was good! I had the snickerdoodle cookie dough and it was so yummy! I would go back for that alone! A chocolate with mixed in brownie flavor would be good!
I havent been there im from texas but it looks good.
Everything was good but honestly just a little too sugary for me 😅
Great ice creams and cookie doughs. Try the espresso or the brownie dough!
I love cookies and when I bake them, I eat the dough even though it has raw eggs in it. Now I don’t have to worry! This cookie dough cafe has a variety of flavors, and it lasts forever if you refrigerate. It is super rich, and I prefer eating it over a couple of sittings. Besides parking, this experience is a 5 star! I also met the owner who was super friendly and chatted about his experience on shark tank. Really nice guy.
This is a place you never thought you needed, but the concept is now a necessity to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings.
Amazing cookie dough and icecream. Super nice staff
While it is certainly unique, the cookie dough is overly surgery. I barely touched my scoops due to how overpowered it was.
Cookie dough and ice cream (cookies too). It was very yummy.
The cookie dough is super rich and tastes just like I remember it from when I used to steal it from my mom as she was making cookies at home! Their store is very clean and simplistic in style. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and eager to help out my family. Will definitely be coming back next time Im in town!
New and trendy place! You’d think that the single scoop you get is tiny but really the dough itself it quite on the sweet side. But non the less still delicious cause it’s cookie dough! I got the seasonal flavor which was snickerdoodle. They offer samples of any flavor you want to try. They also have cookie dough to-go in two sizes one is about $3 and the other is $8. It’s super close to Powell’s bookstore as well.
So delicious. My husband got the ice cream sandwich and I enjoyed the chocolate ice cream with a scoop of sugar cookie dough. We could not finish both they were so decadent. Normally I dont enjoy buying cookie dough because I can make it homemade so much better. But this was different. The cookie dough was delicious and tasted homemade. Combined with the ice cream it was amazing. Our favorite was the cookie dough ice cream sandwich. I could order that every time. I cant wait to go back.
UNIQUE DESSERT PLACE! Edible cookie dough may become my new guilty pleasure. They have about 6 flavor options in store, with some prepackaged option available for you to take home. They can prepare it for you in many ways: paired with ice cream (shown) as a ice cream doughwich, in a cone with toppings, etc. It was a ton of fun to try this place. A bit pricey at about $6.50 per person, but totally worth it for a special experience thats hard to find anywhere else!
I called to get clarification on several confusing things on the website. I wanted to place a large order for my sons birthday. The young ladies answers were mostly “I don’t know”. When I finally gave up on her being able to answer my questions, I decided to just order it for pickup. She would not take the order. Said it would be easier for her if I ordered online. My son asked specifically for this. I wish there was another location I could go to. I tried again online, and my only option was to go Fedex for $20 with 7-day delay. Promos that said would be added automatically, did not. After hours of trying to figure this out, I realize there are two websites. One local, and one that appears to be national. Both very poorly done and hard to order from.
Cookie Dough Cafe is a nuanced one-stop shop catering to the ‘edible’ cookie dough crowd (though I’m still of the opinion that ALL cookie dough is edible), with some twists like ice cream cake with edible dough bits, dough pints, and ice cream sandwiches between squares of their edible dough. This kind of dessert is highly hit-or-miss regardless among the sweet-tooth crowd, but for my money it’s one of if not the best outright ‘edible’ cookie dough shop I’ve had the pleasure of trying, with a number of combinations to hit just the flavor profile your sweet tooth is craving, or a pint to take home and keep you company while you Netflix binge. Worth a try, certainly!
I had it delivered to my workplace for the first time April 1st using doordash, but today its not letting me order for delivery for some reason? Is that an error or are you doing pickup only?
Great place to buy your fav dessert. The staff follows safety protocols for covid-19 specially social distancing.
It was good for the 1st 5 bites. Make sure to split it with someone
Interesting place, prices are high for what you get
Wow!! No baking necessary! Chocolate chip, monster, snickerdoodle, oatmeal and more...decisions, decisions..and to top off, theres toppings and icecream..fun for all ages!!
Great place to take the kids! The flavors are amazing! Staff is very cautious about Covid and respects social distancing. Very clean inside.
THE best cookie dough ever! I wished that my local New Seasons Market carried the other flavors too so that I could try them conveniently but the Chocolate Chip and Oreo flavors that they do carry taste phenomenal.
Been here a couple times, both for my birthday and as a little treat! Thankfully, both times I’ve come, the shop hasn’t been too busy. They’ve got multiple different flavors, and they’re always willing to give you a sample! I think it’s been the same guy both times I’ve been there, and he’s incredibly friendly! Some people may complain on the price & how big the scoop is, but those people really haven’t tried it, because, wow, two scoops is plenty hahaha. The cookie dough is rich and incredibly delicious! Also, as delicious as just good old cookie dough is, they also have ice cream, and can even make you an ice cream cookie dough sandwich! 🤤On top of that, the store inside is very hip and cute. It’s always clean and cool, and the perfect escape in the summer from the heat! If you’re looking for a little treat after lunch, and you’re in the neighborhood, it’s definitely worth the stop! The only thing I would MAYBE recommend, is bigger water cups? Please? Not only small children like drinking water, and the cookie dough is incredibly rich, so I’ve found myself making almost 5 trips just to fill up a little cup of water.
Im a self-claimed cookie dough fan, and from my standpoint this place was below average. I tried 2 cups of different flavors and they were dry and hard to chew. This was even my first meal of the day as I stepped into the cafe on an empty stomach (thats how much I LOVE cookie doughs!).. This places got a great dessert parlor vibe with a nonchalant staff.
A good snack forsure
Great service, great idea, great execution of it. They have GF and DF options that do not disappoint. You should visit!
Cookie Dough Cafe Manager KIRA, youre the the real MVP!! About three weeks ago my friends and I were visiting Portland from Canada for the weekend and decided to order some cookie dough ice cream from uber eats. We ordered two different cookie dough ice creams but we received two of the same kind. We called the cafe to try to fix the order and Kira, a recently hired manager, picked up the phone. She tried to trouble shoot the problem for us by calling uber eats to straighten the situation out, but found out the customer has to call in to get the adjustment, not the cafe. Long story short we got a reimbursement through uber eats and bought the one we originally wanted. When our order from uber eats came the second time we not only received our second flavor of cookie dough ice cream, but 2 extra mini cookie doughs, one pint size cookie dough and a hand written card apologizing for the mix up. Kira, thank you for going above and beyond! Your customer service was top notch, and we cant wait to eat more cookie dough from the cafe when we return
A mind trip because you think youre about to eat ice cream because its cold but its definitely cookie dough! Very rich and sweet. Definitely recommend
The Cookie Dough is good, though nothing special. The service was friendly and helpful, though I was really disappointed when I saw my receipt that was emailed by Square... A 25% tip was added to my bill. I know I didnt add it and Ive dont recall Square automatically adding a tip. Will make sure to watch more closely at check out if I go back.
Me and my wife love the dont bake it eat it the best ever it is so amazing💕💕
The cookie dough was great. I thought there would be more choices. Parking is hard to find also. But I will definitely be going back Anna taking my family.
Good but very rich and sweet! Next time I would get it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I was expecting more of a variety or lavish flavor options but they were all pretty basic (ex. Chocolate chip, peanut butter). Quality was great though!
Very tasty options. A unique way to look at dessert. Prices are a bit high but for this special treat it worth it. Always get a scoop of ice cream with a scoop of cookie dough. Its a perfect combination. Would recommend this place when your looking for something sweet.
If you like cookie dough, this is definitely a place you should visit. Their recipe is safe to eat uncooked, but tastes just like raw cookie dough. I have tried all of the flavors, and you cant go wrong no matter what you choose. Its fun to walk and shop downtown, and then end up here to make up for the calories that were burned off.
Uh... its cookie dough and ice cream... cant go wrong. They have one vegan cookie dough option (brownie or something) and one vegan ice cream option (mint chip) I usually like a little more variety, but it was still great.
Good cookies 🍪
Late night staff was fun and friendly!
The cookie dough is so tasty and dense that one scoop is so satisfying. I highly recommend it. Vegetarian cookie dough so there are no worries about getting sick from Raw Eggs
The concept is great but the cookie dough is sickenly sweet. I had a scoop of Monster Cookie dough and a scoop of Naked Cookie dough. I shouldnt have gotten two scoops as couldnt finish and felt sick to my stomach. The treat is overpriced and the scoop is small. But it is small because it is meant to be eaten slowly and savored. One scoop is plenty believe me.
My boys have grown up into fine young men. One of our favorite treats was raw cookie dough.I discovered The Cookie Dough Cafe in Portland and it is sooo awesome! The cookie dough is so fresh and delicious! Try all the flavors. You can also have your selected flavor used as the middle in a cookie sandwich.I really love the snicker doodle & birthday cake.
The concept is cool, but I dont think they put much into executing it. To me, all their flavors taste the same, and their baked cookies just dont really do it for me.Maybe Im spoiled by living in Portland and having access to well thought out treats and food.People seem to like them, and Ive tried to like them myself, but Im just not that excited about it.
Love how unique this place is! Great cookie dough, very kind staff, gives you several samples. Great prices as well! Love it and highly recommend for those that love cookie dough.
Very good cookie dough! Other cookie dough brands dont actually taste like cookie dough, but this place really does! They also have vegan options for ice cream and cookie dough alike. I ordered the normal chocolate chip cookie dough. The scoops are huge, one scoop was more than enough for me. They also provide free samples, ice cream sandwiches and many other dessert! There is barely any seating, which is unfortunate, especially since its quite busy.
I love this place! Their cookie dough and ice cream are delicious. They have also waffle cones, toppings, and baked cookies. The decor is simple, clean, and fun. They have cookie dough and halfsies (cookie dough and ice cream together) to-go. And they have vegan and gluten-free options! Its all just so much fun and so delectable!
Tried this place out for the first time! Super fun concept but I would highly recommend getting the little bites instead of a scoop! I couldn’t even get through half a scoop- it’s definitely more filling than a scoop of ice cream! The flavors were really good that I had too!
Cookie dough by the scoop? Its super rich and is probably every kids dream to more down on dough until they are sick to their stomach without mom puts a stop to the snitching. Definitely prepare your stomach for this delightful gut bomb, and dont plan on eating dinner any time soon...
Definitely glad I went but couldnt even finish a single scoop! This was good but dont know how much Ill go back. Great idea though! Maybe itd be better if I got a scoop of ice cream with it. Give it a try!
Friend ordered two small containers for me, won a bet. Ordered on Jan. 7th. No email confirmation. Finally got email today saying it should arrive on 18th, 11 days after ordering. Website says 4-5 days. Live three hours from Portland :-( Cost of cookie dough was $24, cost of shipping was $25. Never again.
I tried a bite of the naked cookie dough, which was described to me as a base of chocolate chip cookie dough but without the chips and a little smoother. It was so good. I tried to hide my smile, but absolutely couldn’t. The person helping us noticed as well did my girlfriend. Absolutely fantastic cookie dough.
Very ghetto. Do not recommend
Go with the option that gets you ice cream and cookie dough together or itll be too dry to enjoy. Alternatively, buy ice cream from the store and make the dough at home for a better-tasting experience. Super nice people, lame product.
Really tasty but VERY VERY rich, I recommend getting a small. my heart wants a large, but my stomach has trouble finishing a small. they have great options and its so so good.
Me and my boyfriend went in on Wednesday and the cookie dough was delicious! Also Dakota who served us was fantastic! All smiles and made us feel very welcome even though we took a while deciding. We will be stopping next time we are in the area!
The cookie dough is great. But after the first spoonful, it’s enough- then you’re gagging the rest down because it’s so sweet and rich. Also the server was not super friendly... Very clean environment but we ended up awkwardly standing because there are only 8 seats in the place. If you have a super sweet tooth, this place is for you. The experience was enough. I’ll be making my own cookie dough at home instead.
Great options. Great flavor. Very clean and a helpful staff! We will be returning!
Delicious, unique take on cold dessert. Add the cookie dough flavour of your choice to your ice cream!it was difficult for me to get over guilt eating cookie dough with reckless abandon, let alone publicly. I frequently got in trouble growing up because I would eat cookie dough - any time we had it - in the wee hours of the morning and get caught. They have over half a dozen dough flavors - including Brownie Batter, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Sugar Cookie and Oreo.
Yummy for everyone. They have dairy free option. They need more space for people who are waiting.
Such a cool concept, but I didnt feel like I was eating cookie dough. It tasted good, but it wasnt like when you lick the dough of the mixer kind of food. Super fun and cute though!
So I didnt experience actually going to the cafe but I did get the cookie dough cups, from walmart and found a literal small wood chip.
The place itself was nice, it was clean and looked pretty. The only thing was that the actual cookie dough was kind of gritty and much too sweet for my personal liking, but some people would probably like that. I do recommend it for people who love sweet things, but not for cookie lovers who know what cookie dough usually tastes like.
Friendly staff, great variety, and very tasty!
The shop itself is fine, but I did not like the cookie dough. They give samples of flavors like an ice cream store and you order by the scoop. I picked the one that I liked best and was sick of it after 2 bites. Maybe only worth it if you really like cookie dough.
Really nice service, I didnt feel rushed or anything. Food was good and it was a nice texture for cookie dough; however I couldnt get through even half a scoop. It was just too sweet. If its your first time I recommend getting only one scoop.
Super yummy! But honestly its really easy to make at home. I appreciate the vegan options!
This place was amazing! Had two scoops and never once felt sick. In fact probably could have had some more it was that good!
