My lovely pup would have loved and enjoyed this awesome store if he was with us. Got him a Halloween bow tie and I bet he would love it. So much stuff in this store you can’t leave without! Treats, toys, clothings, leashes galore and a spa for your pets. So hard to leave this place but you can always go back 🐶 .Our dog loves his Halloween bow tie🐶

Puccini absolutely loves the West Paw suggestion made by the cheerful young lady associate last Friday! So much so that we purchased the larger West Paw additional piece when we got home from our local pet store. Thank you to the incredible (and informative) staff at The Fish & Bone. (Puccini loves the frozen peanut butter “pairing” as well)

I really liked being able to shop at The Fish & Bone on Commercial Street in Portland. They have a wide selection of all things pet supplies and they feature many items that I have not seen anywhere else before. It is fun to check out all of the different supplies that they have available and I was able to find many things that I wanted to purchase as gifts. I like how this store was organized as they are able to fit so many things in the space they have available. The vibe and atmosphere here is fun and free and enjoyed being here among it all. The staff here was really cool and friendly and knowledgeable about all things pet related. I had a really good experience here and recommend it for all pet owners.

What an amazing place with wonderful employees. Have only been in once and they remembered my dog’s name! Super helpful with harnesses even fit tested our dog for us and got it to his size! 5 stars everyday with employees and places like this.

My favourite place to shop for my pets.My dog would rate it as her one and only place to shop. I mean she could pick out her own treats right from the bucket.They have dog food, treats, toys, coats, leashes, collars, and so much more.The cat section is fabulous. So many cat nip toys to choose from.We live in Minnesota now so it is missed dearly!However they have a website. 😍

We stopped in looking for a little something for Henry our spoiled rotten mutt. The staff was amazing!!! Sophie knew her stuff . We ended up buying half the store. For a small independent store the prices were very reasonable.

Super cute shirt and baby shark hat but it was definitely over priced.. the shirt especially..25 dollars?! But I am crazy and paid it since my dog loves pizza.. lol.. all in all a good place to visit if you have money!!

I work in the Old Port and I love this shop. I first stepped in out of curiosity to find out what kind of pet store is in a tourist area. Im glad I did since they carry all kinds of high quality pet food and treats.My pets eat Taste of the Wild which is hard to find and these guys carry almost every flavor. They have Primal and several other frozen foods and broths.Their treats are great quality and I grab my dog a salmon skin anytime I stop in.They have the necessities as well. Poop bags, litter boxes, collars, tags, food and water dishes, leashes, etc.Finally, they have things for humans. First, they have clothing, jewelry, and accessories. More importantly, they have a reward program that is pretty good. Definitely shop here for your pets if you work anywhere near the Old Port area.

My dogs love to visit this place! The staff is AMAZING! I went in one evening close to closing time with my Aussie and Golden and asked if there was time to give them a quick dog wash. The staff was very accommodating and helped me keep the Golden calm (it was her first bath in a real dog wash!). They even went a step further and helped me get them both dry with towels since the dryer was out that day. I highly recommend a visit to this place if youre in town.

The staff is insanely kind and helpful! My dog was going through every toy we got him in about four hour, so I came here to get some good advice. And they came through! It can be pricey, but so can baby strollers (ugh). So far, my favorite pet store in Portland.

They are very helpful at this store. We were looking for coats for our two dogs. A sales associate took the time to get us the right style and fit. Give them a look when in town.

I want to like this store, because the staff are so nice and helpful, but the prices and quantities of items they have are just... not impressive. This is an expensive place, but they also just don’t have a lot of types of foods/larger sizes, they lack a lot of health-aids for pets like hairball treatment (and I couldn’t find any tick treatments). What they do have is some high-quality foods, treats, accessories for people looking for higher-grade items and foods for their pets. But, in the end, there are other places with more options for better prices.*Edit: it seems I missed the hairball treatment and tick stuff the last time I came in! That’s my fault!

Happened to be in Portland and thought I would stop at a fish place to get some new plants for my aquarium. Google said Fish and Bone is right down the street! Much to my disappointment Fish in the store name DID NOT mean FISH..not a fish to be seen. They didnt even carry fish at all. Lots of dog and cat stuff but nothing aquarium related at all.

Cute store. A little small space wise. With a little more than a few people and dogs it can be a party. They have a good selection of dog food and plenty of treats. Even really delicious local treats, at least thats the impression I get from my dogs. To be honest they arent really picky. Staff is friendly, however dealing with dogs most of the day rather than people, why wouldnt they. I would absolutely recommend to other pet owners to give this shop a visit.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We got our favorite harness for our growing dog here. They insisted we try them on before leaving so we could be sure we got the right size. They fit a lot of products and variety in their store.

Found exactly what we were looking for! Its not easy finding a life vest for a 90 pound dog, but they had one and it happened to be the color we loved. The staff are definitely dog people!
