These guys are amazing. Staff was down-to-earth and gave me pointers on where to go for practice, swing training, and preparation routines for the winter months. For the lefties out there, a fairly decent selection of used left-handed clubs as well.Ive left with the Swing Resistance Trainer and practiced with it vigorously over the past 24 hours. First let me start off by saying that I live in New Jersey and ParWest Golf Shop is clear across the country. Tony has been working with me on a new set of Taylormade irons and has gone the extra mile. (Or 3,000 miles) to help me out. He has not only offered expert advice on a combo set of P770’s and P790’s he also worked with me getting the perfect shafts for my game as well as matching my grip of choice from my previous set. I traded in my previous set and they gave me more value for my trade ins than anywhere else, including the big golf superstores. The guys at ParWest custom built my set and shipped them out to me first class. They arrived to NJ from Oregon in two days with no additional charge. I can honestly say it has been the best experience I have ever had in purchasing golf equipment as well as the fantastic selection of gear and apparel they sent me as well. I will be working with ParWest again this week on a set up of a driver and soon my fairways as well. My only regret is that I live so far away because I would love to be at the shop doing a little putting and having a beer with the fellas.

I had the pleasure of working with Royce and Tony on a club fitting just last week and I have to echo the overwhelmingly positive reviews already posted here.The shop is in great shape and has everything youd need in the way of new sticks, gear and accessories while also having stuff you didnt know a golf shop needed – like cold beer on tap.The iron fitting process was excellent. Despite the shop being crazy busy at the time, Royce was patient, helpful and made me feel like I was the only one in the store. He worked through heaps of options for me until we found the right heads, shaft and grips. Total pro.If that isnt enough, well, then lets talk about what this business is about. These guys are the best. I was in touch with them and came down from Seattle to purchase some clubs. They stayed 35 minutes late for me to show up because I got stuck in the Puget Sound traffic. So nice and knowledgeable. I will definitely buy from them again, even if I have to spend another 5 hours in traffic to get down there! Call them up and speak with some real customer service pros, who also know all about golf equipment.

Tony is a legend. The store is truly exemplary. He has state of the art clubs (along with everything else) and also awesome second hands for sale for the amateurs like myself. Tony was very attentive in helping with all of my questions and shared his knowledge with me in a very kind, humble way; there is often a sense of arrogance at other golf shops/pro shops towards inexperienced golfers. You can putt around, get your club professionally gripped and browse at some of the greatest equipment on the market. The prices are incredibly fair and there is absolutely zero need to try and ask for a discount. You can even get a beer or wine while your there. While I was there a gentleman was teeing off with a driver on the virtual range and Tony raced over to the gentleman’s wife and made sure she had a comfortable seat to sit on and relax as I am sure she probably didn’t want to spend her afternoon at the golf shop hearing her husband punish balls. Just a great dude. Go there and please stop buying from Bezos at Amazon.Thanks for the clubs and bag Tony, I appreciate you running such an incredible independent golf store. Went in today with my buddy. We both got a level of knowledge from staff that we would not get before buying a product online and got hands on too. Very low pressure setting. Was helped by Royce on this occasion but others offered comments too.One thing I often encounter because I tend to wear old worn clothes most of the time is a pre-judgment that I am not going to buy anything. I tend to walk when that happens. You cant tell who has money ready to spend by what they look like. If you help everyone the same like these guys, your business will always come out ahead. Thats something that a friend of mine told me that won national sales competitions regularly. Treat every customer like a repeat customer and you will often turn them into one.jeff

This has become my go-to golf shop. Historically Id buy my golf clubs, apparel, accessories at my clubs pro shop but I lived near Par West so I figured Id try them. Great customer service in club purchases, I even rented the simulator for a few hours and had a few beers. I recently purchased a Cobra Rad Speed driver and unfortunately broke it. The guys were able to accommodate my situation by getting me a new driver at all cost mostly to them. No questions or hassle. They couldve easily told me to take a walk but chose the customer first. Ill continue to buy all my stuff from Par West Golf, thanks guys!

After having bad experiences at other big name stores I was delighted at how helpful Tony was in finding what I needed. I told him my goal and his first recommendation turned out to be the club I bought. He was able to add yards to my shot, and save me nearly 50% of what I was planning to spend.Very well informed on product and very helpful, even in the midst of a busy Saturday. 5/5!

I came to ParWest Golf to get fitted for a new set of clubs. Tony was the man to help me. I am a taller and bigger guy, who has used standard sized clubs for the last 7 years and I needed a change. He talked to me about extending my clubs about 1/2 an inch longer than standard and discussed 5 different club manufacturers that he thought would be a good fit for me. I hit a couple of the clubs, for him to see and hear how well or poorly I was hitting. We came to deciding that the TaylorMade Sim 2 Max OS was the best clubs for my game. He was real friendly and I didn’t feel like I was being rushed or pushed to purchase. He listened to what I had to say and pointed me into the right direction. I’ve been here a few times, great selection and staff. Today I used their golf simulator and fitting service to by new irons and a driver. You get incredible data about your swing using this service and I’m very happy with what we found works best for me. Kudos to Kyler for the great service and expertise.

We loved shopping at Par West Golf Shop on Halsey these men are absolutely honest, there is no pressure and they have a wide range of knowledge about what club would be best for you. They gave us excellent advice. I know they will not sell you a club that you are not ready to hit. They have a large inventory of clubs, balls, gloves, shoes, just everything you need to go play.

I had the most amazing experience with my fitting today! Royce was ridiculously patient with my inconsistent drives and very encouraging throughout the process of fitting me for my new driver. Due to the open schedule, he took extra time with me and allowed me to move from my chosen driver, on to a 5 wood and a hybrid as well. Needless to say, I left with a couple new pieces to put in my bag as well as my new favorite place to make any further golf related purchases. We stopped in to get clubs for our boys. We opted to go to ParWest Golf over Golf Galaxy based on the reviews. ParWest Gold did not disappoint. Great customer service and selection. Even though it was a quick trip for us, we received individualized attention so the boys got well-fitted clubs and accessories. We will come here again. BEFORE you consider purchasing anything off Amazon, you should go to ParWest first. I spotted a glove I was going to purchase from Amazon and bought it from Parwest instead because the difference in price was literally pennies.I started going here a few weeks ago after moving to the area. The local Play-it-Again sports had nice people working there, but they didnt have much of a golf inventory, so I decided to go to ParWest instead.On my first visit, I was helped right away by an employee. I told them what I was looking for (a better, more forgiving driver than the one I was using), and they pulled 5 drivers in great condition from their large selection of pre-owned clubs. They allowed me to tee off a few shots with the drivers into their net in the back, I was so impressed with their service that I bought one of the drivers, and I am very happy with it.Tony is the guy I spoke to regarding my driver, listened to everything and gave great suggestions. There is also a younger employee who put a new grip on the driver, who listened to my request to offset the alignment of the grip and installed it perfectly. Everybody that I met at ParWest was really nice and gave a genuine impression that they want to help.Support a locally owned company that is genuinely trying to do right by the people that live in the area. Stop being lazy, using Amazon (a company that doesnt allow their employees bathroom breaks) and go to ParWest first.

I had an awesome experience at PWG. I drove all the way from Beaverton and it was well worth it. I came in needing guidance and advice on my current set up and insight on a possible upgrade to my set. Tony checked my current set and instead of trying to sell me new items I didnt need, he was honest and recommended I stick with what I have for now. Ive shopped at Redtail and GolfGalaxy and they dont come close to the level of service that Tony and PWG showed me. You dont feel rushed or pressured like other places that can be hectic.Selection looked amazing and I will be buying all my future items here for sure!

Guys at Par West are awesome! Good vibes and truly does feel like a hometown golf shop! Ordered clubs there about 8 weeks ago, they quoted me 3-5 weeks...at the 3 week mark Tony called me to tell me it would be a bit longer. He proceeded to check in with me every week or two on the order to let me know that they were still a bit delayed. Now I know this is a manufacturers issue and I didnt expect this level of concern from the shop, but Tony was awesome! Really appreciate that from them and I plan on making any major golf related orders with them..a bit of a drive from Beaverton but again, the vibe there is great, they have all the gear and equipment I would need PLUS beer on tap...

I was looking for a driver for my husband for Christmas and wanted an older model but still high quality. There aren’t many local golf shops around any more so I was excited to check out Parwest. The people working there were great and very helpful and don’t judge anyone based on their experience or skill level. They had a big selection of clubs and gear and I ended up finding an awesome driver that was a steal for the price. I will definitely be going back for all of my golf needs!

Tony was PHENOMENAL! We are just getting into golfing and only have Sundays off together. We saw that they were open for appointments only on Sunday, so we took a shot in the dark and sent a message through google to see if there was any chance we could come in. We got an immediate and kind response that someone would be able to meet us there within a couple of hours. One year ago, If you asked how I felt doing business 2,380 miles away through text, Id tell you hesitant was an understatement. However, I had the opportunity to work with Tony from ParWest Golf. I purchased my first legit set of golf clubs from Toni and Royce and it was a great experience. I did a proper fitting for the first time and was able to hit several different types of clubs. I needed time to think about it and 3 weeks later I came back to swing the two clubs I liked the best. I ended up with the best feeling clubs for me and I couldnt be happier.I really appreciated Toni and Royce answering my questions and guiding me through the process. I didnt feel pressured the entire time, they were super friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to take my time and choose what felt the best for me.I highly recommend supporting this local golf shop.

Drove 30 min based on reviews and would give them a 10 star review if possible. Very knowledgeable when it came to a new grip for my putter. Took extra time to answer my questions and allowed me to sample all grips with zero pressure. Ended up with a new Super Stroke that fit me perfectly. I witnessed the installation and they took the right steps to make sure it was done right. I was very impressed with ParWest. I tend to do my own grips but now that I saw how they re-grip I can tell my clubs are in great hands. As I walked around the store it was well organized and I was able to pick up items I needed for a great golf outing. Needless to say I will be back.

We went in to check out their selection of lefty clubs for my teen player and were pleasantly surprised to find that they had box sets as well as the expected variety of high end name brands. They also had a nice selection of used clubs as well as custom fitting and a repair shop. I was passing by where Smittys Golf Shop was located... and saw a Picture of Tiger Woods! Apparently, ParWest Golf is located there now. I tried on about Six Golf Gloves. I purchased a Wilson Staff brand Golf Glove. There is a small Selection of Womens Golf Clothing. Im going to be back, there are some Really Nice Items. Also.... if you are looking for a Webbed Belt for Golf, or for your Job... there are Plenty. There are even the Kinds of Belts that you can Cut to Fit your Size. The Sales Staff that helped me are both Courteous and Friendly. I also noticed, but did NOT purchase those Golf Counters... you know that keep track of your Putts and your Swings... its Manual. And in case you did NOT know where to put your Watch while playing for GPS... there is a Holder Specifically for it. There were a Couple in Stock, on the Afternoon that I was inside ParWest Golf shopping. Oh yes, ... there were Plenty of Golf balls just waiting to be bought.

Very knowledgeable staff. Theres a small putting green to try as well as a hitting net - they will gladly let you hit a new club to get a feel before buying. They give the most fair trade-in value - always willing to knock off a few bucks to make sure you get a fair trade of your old clubs towards the purchase of a new club. Stocked to the gills with new balls, shoes, bags, carts and all that you may need to look good out on the course. Well worth a visit - I went back three times in a week after my first trip to the store.

I just started golfing 9 months ago and have been obsessed. Worked hard toward my goal of breaking, and my reward was to get fitted. I had researched what a fitting was about and even sat in with one of my friends fittings.I had researched TrueSpec, Tour Van, manufacturer run fittings, and even considered traveling to southern California for my fitting. Thing is Golf is a journey, and it will take you many places. It is a significant investment, and as such I expected a very personal experience.NorthEast Portland’s ParWest delivered all in spades. I had popped in for used clubs after breaking 100. Every time they remembered me. They have beers on tap if you want to hang out, TV to watch the latest tourney, ALL THE BRANDS on display. Long before breaking 90 Kyler, and Tony were there to answer any and all questions I might have about fittings. After reaching my goal I scheduled the fitting.Walked into the fitting and they had setup the GCQuad Launch monitor with a display for my Data. Kyler had run me thru the fitting for the shaft specs, then onto various iron heads. I asked many questions, and inquired how I felt about some of the recommends. Everything comes down to Feel and Data. Sacrifice yards for better feel and confidence, or find something that checks all boxes. Kyler was patient and motivated to find the best fit for me. Tony put everything together, and I got fitted for the whole bag. You get what you put in to any experience. Go in for a great time. No rush, or hustle, and bustle to distract you. This is a 5 star golf shop, focused on incredible customer service. Tony was so patient and welcoming. He got me a putter, new wedge, and a used 3 hybrid club for an outstanding price. I went back a couple weeks later for a driver— even though I wasn’t able to find the one I liked, I still felt very welcomed and not rushed. Tony makes the customer feel like family, and doesn’t “push” into a sale. I would HIGHLY recommend this fantastic local business!

Absolutely loved it here and will be doing more business here. I found out about them on offer up as they were advertising their used selection. I made them a fair offer from their already competitive price and they accepted it. They had a great selection on all sorts of gear and equipment. Both workers were friendly and informative but not overwhelming. I said I wanted to browse for a bit and they gave me all the time I wanted but were always within reach for when and if I had a question. With how good my experience was here Im happy to say this will be my home store for anything I need. The only problem you might find here is trying to not spend your entire pay check on cool stuff!

I initially went to Redtail for some new irons and was basically told they were too busy to fit me and that I should make an appointment. I found Parwest through googling other shops and I would give this place 50 stars if I could. The staff there was amazing. I tried out a bunch of different irons on their simulator. I ended up doing the same with drivers and fairway woods. I ended up leaving with a whole new set. The staff was extremely and helpful and I didn’t feel like I was being pushed to buy things. I gave them my budget and they made sure I got the best clubs in my price range. Won’t go anywhere else for my golfing needs.

Awesome shop but even better employees, .. make this your first stop, in any golf needs you have. I brought in a few clubs I needed re-glued and A few others I wanted to see if I could off for some credit, .. they took a min to look up the actual values and then put together a even better deal than I thought possible. Great customer service. My truck was recently broken into and i had to replace a couple pricey golf items. These guys went above and beyond to take care of me and get me back on the course. They also included a discount just because of my bad luck. Id highly recommend checking out their shop.

This is a wonderful golf shop. Customer service is stellar. They offer fittings, full course simulations (with options to have beer while playing!), and have a great selection for clubs, apparel, and accessories for golf. This is our new favorite golf store because you get the warmth of personalized friendly service that makes you feel like you’re in an exclusive club. Definitely recommend.

My son and I came across this place via Offer Up. We found out that they had a store in Portland which was only about 10-15 minute drive from Vancouver off of 205. We were greeted warmly right away. From the first minute we got there we felt that the team was committed to ensuring that we had a great experience! They have it all! A putting green, simulator and club repair services! They do have a nice mix of new and used clubs . Here is also the kicker.... you can enjoy a cold beer while you are there! They will be offering local brew on tap! I’m not a drinker but can certainly see how that might be appealing to some! Do yourself a favor ... skip the big boxes and go see them! I know we found a new go to for golf needs! Most excellent customer service. Love the atmosphere. No pressure but lots of knowledge and options...and they listen . Quick repair and gripping ( actually on straight) and in 24 hours. Love the family local owned vibe....plus they have Bagboy Revolvers ( tough to find)...I always recommend. Good addition to the community.

A must visit for any looking for anything golf related. Lots of selection. Good hitting cage with shot tracing technology. Repairs, used clubs, putting green, etc. Great employees as well!

I walked in here today and totally loved the vibes in the store! No air of superiority like a lot of the pro shops and corporate golf stores around the area. I will be buying all my golf supplies from here going forward. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly ( and safely wearing masks). Glad we have this in my neighborhood!

Highly recommend this shop! Excellent customer service, laid back atmosphere and competitive prices. ParWest fills a much needed void in the Portland golf market. I came in, was able to jump on the launch monitor and got excellent assistance with no pressure. Walked away with a new hybrid and very satisfied with my experience.

Tony at Pat West Golf is awesome. It was my first time in the shop since they had taken over. I got a great deal on a water proof golf bag and Tony made it happen. The customer service is great and the prices are even better. Par West will be my go-to golf shop.

We looked everywhere for a push cart for our son. I found ParWest and gave them a call, expecting to hear the same message Id received everywhere else, Sorry, were all out. Instead, Brandon, the general manager, went out of his way to find one for us. He even was able to have it in the store by the next day. When we picked it up I was very impressed by the inventory on hand and the service of the staff. Even though its a bit of a drive for me to get there, Ill be a repeat customer for sure.

Amazing service as I walked through the door, had an amazing set of used Taylormade M6 irons and M4 driver that beat any of the prices I found online. Let me take tons of swings in their practice area as well. Super knowledgeable about the clubs as well. Definitely recommend!

I stopped in to trade in a couple used clubs.Tony game me a good fair price for them.I shopped around a bit and found something everybody needs...more golf balls.There was no pressure or pitch to buy anything which is nice.Cool place. They had a big screen tv going and some music in the back ground.ParWest is definitely an upgrade from the previous owner and I will definitely be going back when I run out of my new golf balls.
