Kathy did a great job making sure the correct replacement windshield was going to be installed. Her research differed from what the insurance company had chosen. She took care of contacting the company to guarantee the right windshield was installed. Great job was done

Excellent service. I was scheduled for a windshield replacement at the Portsmouth shop for my 2011 Sierra. About an hour before the appointment I got a call from their auto tech, and he informed me they had an opening and could come out to Exeter and do a mobile replacement instead. This took a lot of stress off me and saved me both time and fuel. Thank you!

I regret offering a very negative review, but the facts are beyond dispute:I was given a one-hour window for an estimate concerning a very large arched window in a historic buillding in Portsmouth. I was there at the appointed time and waited an additional half-hour beyond the end time (1:30 total). No one showed up nor called.When I called the office I received this message: No one is here to answer your call. Good bye.This was mid-day, mid-week, not some unusual time after customary working hours.I trust this treatment was an aberration. Techs were friendly and professional. Work was performed at my place of business so it was extremely convenient. Took about an hour or so to replace my windshield and there have been no issues.

I have used Portland Glass of Portsmouth before and will do so again. A better and slightly less expensive place for new windshields. Only gripe? Having to call some non local office and be on (sometimes lengthy) hold to make an appointment and then to verify completion.

I cannot speak more highly about this company. In particular, I would like to give a shout out to Griffin and a special thanks to Dan for the wonderful job he did replacing the glass in a small casement window. He was thorough, and explained the different options clearly. He was polite and hard working and a breath of fresh air in a world full of sometimes difficult contractors. Thank you for your excellent service.

I would like to thank( I think her name is katherine)at portland glass in portsmouth NH. She graciously took the time to call my insurance company to see if my issue would be covered because I said no it wouldnt be covered because my deductible is going to be more than the windshield. She said lets call, what can it hurt to just see and I gave her my insurance card and she went right to work and called my insurance explained to them my issue and found out that it would be covered after all. She got me the top of the line windshield for fifty dollors as opposed to the 415.00 I was going to.pay out of my pocket for not calling my insurance.She didnt have to do that but she did and it saved me alot of money. Shes very pleasant, very helpful, kind and really took the time to go all the extra steps to help me and it saved me alot. Shes a keeper. The techs came in on time, installed the shower glass doors quickly and in a professional manner, and cleaned up before leaving. Excellent service and will be using them again.

My storefront downtown Portsmouth got damaged this winter and we had to replace all the glass. I had the pleasure of dealing with Griff Richards at Portland Glass of Portsmouth during the process of fixing it. Between having to get permits through the town, rescheduling multiple times because of bad weather, and other minor challenges that arose - Griff handled it all with grace and kindness. He and his entire staff were nothing but helpful and professional. The installers also did an amazing job. Being a small business owner, I truly appreciate excellent customer service! I contacted Portland Glass of Portsmouth with an unusual window request. It was a tilt/turn window installation and they hadnt done this before. Their response was no problem we will find that window and install it for you.Bob the estimator/installer was courteous and timely. Kathy Keezer kept me informed every step of the way. About a month ago Portland glass Dover New installed my windshield in my 2005 BMW 645 CI. Since I live in Portsmouth I brought it to Portland glass on heritage Drive and met with a tech named Dan..He was very courteous clean cut and spoke very professionally..Dan Diagnose the problem from the other repair shop and offered to fix it for free even though it may have cost this particular shop a few dollars..I will surely use them again and if I were Portland glass I would do whatever it takes to keep Dan on staff

The technician was so friendly and professional and seemed to genuinely enjoy the work he does. Im so used to people clearly hating their jobs that this was a refreshing change!!!! 100% Satisfied and would never do business anywhere else now!

My bathroom window shattered and bent the inside metal piece. They replaced that piece as well as the glass and it looks brand new!!! Reasonably priced.

I had the best experience here today! Beyond frustrated with my rear view mirror falling off called for an appointment and they had me come right down. Fixed it in a matter of minutes and the staff was excellent!!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the service there today!!! Thanks to the front desk and service man for the help :)

Very bad experience . Not happy with job. They are not professionally good. While replacing wind screen damaged passenger side wiper.

Had a windshield gasket installed by Portland Glass. I chose Portland Glass because Brit Bits (a local classic car dealer) gets all their glass work done there, or so I was told and so my 85 would be no problem.Price - Pretty good, beat some competitors but still a bit high (in my opinion) and no warranty was given for the work done, more on this below.Turn Around - Very quickStaff - Friendly, but when I called wasnt given answers to questions like was the leak fixed? or is the car ready?.Installation - Outside on the vehicle, looked 100%. However, they left the inside of my vehicle dirty after the install. When you cut out an old gasket/windshield all kinds of crap is going to fall into the interior of the car. It did not appear any effort was made to clean up the mess or prevent it. It wasnt a huge mess, but clearly dirty from the work.After the gasket was installed and it rained, I found that the the gasket installed leaked water into the car. I guess it was never tested to keep water out? Shouldnt that be part of a successful install?When I rang Portland Glass they offered to attempt a fix, but said no guarantees because the gasket was provided for them. This wasnt mentioned to me prior as far as I know. I will mention the gasket was brand new standard OE replacement.Portland Glass solution for my leaking gasket was to put a dollop of goop on the OUTSIDE of the vehicle- on the glass and gasket itself. Yes... the solution for the gasket leaking was to put some sort of silicone based gunk jammed into the corner of the windshield on the outside of the car by someones finger. Its not even smoothly applied... When I picked up the car I was not told if the leak had been fixed. Id dont know, the car is out front is all the information I received. So I get to find out for myself if the $5 fix solved the issue.I dont have a show car and my car is a a bit older... but their solution for my leaking gasket isnt an acceptable repair when installing BRAND NEW parts. Not what I expect to be returned to me when having a professional glass shop do an install.
