I, at one point, had a theory that good service was just dead. It was over…. A thing of the past. This store proves that theory wrong every time I go in.The people who work here are super easy to talk to. They are eager to listen and actually help you. I mean physically go to an aisle and help.I could write a whole chapter here but just wanted to publicly praise this store and it’s incredible service. I believe in it again.

Best move the owner ever made was moving to this location and expanding their store. We now do 90% of our shopping here that we used to do at Home Depot. Friendly, knowledgeable staff to go along with the excellent variety of hardware/home needs.

Limited supply of plumbing fittings but great in a pinch. Quality tools good prices. Good customer service.

Ive been a customer since 2011 and have always had great customer service. Pricier on some things but Id rather pay extra than chase someone around home depot that usually cant answer questions anyway.

Hardware store is a hardware store i payed 10 dollars more from here than anywhere else why becouse its in portsmouth stop thieving people

Recently relocated from across the street to a larger building, this is a great Ace Hardware location. Good selection of all the odds and ends needed for your basic (and not so basic) home repairs. Im less familiar with their paint offerings but the selection seems good. Finally, in my experience the staff has always been friendly, helpful and able to answer any questions I had.

The entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! We use Benjamin Moore exclusively and have found their staff at this location to be far superior and kinder than the other Benjamin Moore store in Middletown on W. Main road. Cant recommend this location in Portsmouth enough; they are wonderful.

Ace is the place!!! Forget driving all the way down to Home Depot in Middletown. Ace is personalized with friendly knowledgeable staff and if they dont have what you need they offer to order it for you and they usually have it by the end of next business day. Much more personalized than bigger chain stores.

This is a new location and its bright and clean. Staff is friendly and eager to help.Im a bit biased because I go there a lot and they know me. But I do see them interact with customers . Wheelchair friendly also.

Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Had a friend who had a wallet lost or stolen there. Staff was unhelpful and apathetic and even berated my friend for calling twice. My friend has a very sick child and the information in that wallet was irreplaceable.
