Amazing little shop to snag some Hersheys icecream!!!

If only no stars was an option...Half of the menu options were unavailable. So I ordered the chicken quesadilla. After waiting 10 minutes, the server told us, “sorry, the tortillas are moldy. But I can call my boss to pick some new ones up at the dollar store.”A few things......if you only have 8 menu items, and 2 of them have tortillas, how do your tortillas go moldy???...and why are you getting tortillas at the dollar store???I declined (I also declined the chicken salad, heaven help me) and ordered the soft pretzel. 15 long minutes later, it was ready, but it wasn’t soft. And the bag of potato chips I bought had about 5 chips in it.Meanwhile the can of Diet Coke was great.Moral of the story: go to Jimmy Johns down the block.

We came in here on a Saturday night, approximately 7:15. We were seated quickly and our waitress came to our table fast. Our food was good & our waitress was very nice. Although I never received a drink I ordered, but it was added to my bill...lol. She was apologetic and tried to fix it while we were on our way out.

Great place and very friendly staff. I was very grateful and impressed with Brandon working behind the counterwhen visiting there recently. We got there just as he was locking up, but seeing the disappointment on my kids faces, he reopened to give them their ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and he was so friendly and courteous. We will be sure to return each time we visit the museum next door.

Great Ice cream. Great atmosphere. The workers are great, very few complaints. They’re quick and efficient even when there are lots of people in line. I would recommend you stop by for some Hershey’s ice cream this summer.

Best ice cream I have had in a long time.Since Friendlys left the area, I have been searching for a new ice cream place with good tasting stuff. Ive tried many places, but none like this. The flavor was good. So was the service.A good small local spot.

Quick, simple and delicious. Can’t get much better than that. Awesome spot, away from cars. Let’s you take a break and enjoy some ice cream while your kids can run around. Definitely check it out !

If i can leave no stars i would. The guy behind the counter had a very condescending attitude. when i asked if he had dipped cones he’s like “no we don’t have that here dude” i am like could you have been more rude about it. Also it appeared like he didn’t want us here at all and didn’t seem to care about other customers either he treated them all poorly. For what we paid for a large waffle cone outrageous it was like a small i won’t be coming back next time it’s worth it to goto waterside and find folks that care and don’t rip you off. My wife’s chocolate shake sucked too

Went in earlier today. I just wanted a chocolate milkshake the guy working was so extremely rude on top of being out of all 3 flavors i asked for. Sighed loudly when I asked for a milkshake said he had no whip cream no cherries (guess its not an ice cream shop) wont be going back

This place was absolutely horrible. Only one slice of nasty looking pepperoni pizza was available. We couldnt even enjoy our ice cream because the two girls working were loud and one of them had a young boy who was running around with a speaker playing music.

The young guy at the front counter is extremely rude.. slamming product on counter as if were annoying him. Mumbling under his breath like were annoying him.. simple order..The food was mediocre and I wonder if the food is like that all the time or because hes angry. Wont be back to find out.

Surprisingly this little shop was not on Yelp. Its conveniently located beside the Childrens Museum of Virginia.After an afternoon at the Childrens Museum in Portsmouth this seemed a logical choice to get ice-cream. The museum offers no snack area and everyone was ready for something to bridge to dinner.Parking is by street, or nearby parking garage thats free. I utilized the garage and found it clean. The walk up to the business was tidyScoops offers ice-cream, pizza and bottled drinks. So its kinda perfect for the location. Their are a few tables and a restroom. Everything was clean.They offer Hersheys ice-cream which to me is low quality. They had a nice selection of around eight flavors. You can choose from two types of cones and different bowl sizes. Prices for the quality are steep in my opinion.My order a waffle cone of Birthday Cake. My daughter same with Chocolate. Total $5.96 w/o tip. The ice-cream was overly soft to the point of close to melting immediately. The cashier was nice enough. He worked with a female who scooped. Assuming a husband/wife operation.I would return if in the area, but there are better area alternatives.

I give it a two stars because the customer service was just that bad. First the employees had an unwelcoming demeanor, then she asked me what kind of cones I wanted twice and still gave us the wrong ones. What bothered me the most was as I was making my order a group of 5/6 children and adults walked in and her response was ugh seriously they dont need ice cream. I get having long days but its best to keep your comments between yourself and your coworkers.

Closed at 4:20 today (10/10/18) for no apparent reason. Knocked on the window, employee looked up at me. Pointed to my watch to indicate the time, he shook his head no. No explanation why they were closed. Left kids mesuem early to get ice cream for kids.*apologies for the emergency. We were out for our daughters first birthday and wanted to get her and our 2 year old ice cream before heading home. Will try again we we are in the area.

Small, decorated poorly, too many choices and being next to a childrens museum this can get confusing for children who may be their biggest customers. Wasnt impressed with their milkshakes
