Had the lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder. Gotta say... The chowder was the star. 18$ for the roll left me feeling.. um unsatisfied? Close to $30 for a 4oz roll and a cup of chowder. I get it, its right on the water.. but still, Im a little disappointed. For a walk up and order kinda place I was expecting more. This was my first lobster roll ever, not even sure if Ill give one another try elsewhere. All that said they were pretty busy and people seemed to be going for the ice cream on what was a pretty gloomy day. So it must be good!
Good 🍨 ice-cream and service. Lots of choices. Lunch is served as well. Sandwiches🥪, wraps and seafood 🦞 rolls, though I dont remember lobster. Limited parking 🅿️, lots of seating.I had a small, three scoops, Green Monster in a dish with a sugar cone on top 🔝.. Mint 🍨 ice-cream with fudge swirl. Sweet!The interesting thing I saw was a falcon land on a branch of a tree 🌴 and start screeching. I walked over to take a closer look and photo and it turned its head to look at me. I noticed a nest next to the falcon, but, I dont know if it belongs to the bird.Before I left ◀️, a staff member wiped down the table I sat at. Good to see 🙈. Facemasks are not required but signs are posted encouraging social avoidance, err, distancing.Ive driven by on weekends and the place is usually packed. I still recommend this place.
Great stop along the beach for a simple lobster roll. Fresh and hard to go wrong.If any critique, the lobster roll could have used a touch more sweetness. The bread was a touch stale around the edge. Not the best Ive had, but again, the fresh lobster was great and hard to go wrong.The outdoor seating area is super nice!
This is your quintessential walk up New England seafood shack with a great location (right across from North Hampton beach) and good food. Lobster rolls are as expected - fresh, sweet meat, lightly dressed w/ mayo on a toasted, buttered bun. You can choose how much lobster you want on your roll. Ice cream was also very tasty and had a nice, creamy texture. Fair warning on the ice cream - portions are huge! The kid size was enough for two adults to share. Counter service was also good and line moved quickly, despite the busy time of day.
Yesterday I biked up from Salisbury, the whole time longing for a twist cone with jimmies. Ordered a small, I believe it was $5.41. (Which is a lot for a small, but whos going to nitpick on a beautiful sunny afternoon?)By the end of the 15-second walk across the street -- one hand holding the bike, the other hand holding a football-sized twist cone by its comparatively tiny, papered base -- chocolatey vanilla was dripping onto my hand in big blobs. A puddle of ice cream and sprinkles formed at my feet as I struggled and failed to keep up with the melting. Strangers stared and shook their heads. In between mouthfuls I gasped, I asked for a SMALL! Stooping over to protect my clothes as the mudslide progressed further down my elbow only meant getting more on my nose, cheeks and chin. Two grey-haired ladies took pity on me and offered to share napkins from their purses, to add to the ones Id already stuffed into my pocket at the window when both my hands werent yet fully covered by ice cream. Sadly, I missed the opportunity to get photographic evidence - both hands wearing chocolate gloves - before defeatedly dumping the remains (still much bigger than a normal-sized, uneaten small serving) into the trash can.Never again will someone successfully hand me an ice cream cone that big.I give Beach Plum five stars for providing this learning experience.

Nice location right across from the beach. Great selection of food, including vegetarian options. Lots of ice cream flavors and portions are huge. Picnic tables in a shady grove are a relaxing spot for families.
The way they handled the ordering and serving left a little... to be desired. The ice cream flavors sound delicious too but are a little underwhelming. If the service was more reasonable or streamlined... maybe 4 stars
Super cute place. We had a lobster roll and wings. Both were so good and fresh. We came back later for ice cream. The ice cream portions were huge! But so good! Pretty popular place, I must say.
We enjoyed the food, it was very good! Wish fries came with the tender meal though. But it was still good. Especially their apple crisp with Caramel, Vanilla Ive cream and whipped cream.

We had the haddock and cheese sandwich and a chicken veggie wrap...both were fantastic. We then jumped back in line for ice cream. Oh my goodness the portions were huge and absolutely the best ice cream!

After spending time on the beach this is our favorite place to end a perfect day. Even though they were beyond busy they were pleasant and food excellant!!! Great portions too!!
The food is mediocre. No fried food like French fries or clams. But my biggest issue here that makes me not want to go back is the kiddie sized ice creams are massively huge. If youre looking to actually buy ice cream for a child or not go completely overboard with caloric intake, just know that 2/3 of the ice cream will be thrown away. All of our kiddie sized ice cream were about 6 inches tall. Such a waste. Delicious but completely unrealistic. The plastic packaging didnt look compostable either.
The biggest ice cream scoops Ive ever seen! And the most lobster in a roll over ever seen. Its not cheap, but worth it! My wife had the clam chowder and enjoyed it.

First time there. Ordered chicken tenders, pretty good. Customer service was really good. Workers were upbeat and on point.
Big ice cream servings, the Arctic Swirl is like a McFlurry but they have a ton of flavor options. The lobster roll was fantastic. The mozzarella sticks were okay. The location cant be beat, though, just walk across the streat and sit on the tide wall and watch the waves roll in while you eat.Parking is pretty busy in the summer so you may have to pay for beach parking across the street, but its not very expensive.
Location is super convenient. Spent a nice evening on the beach. Food was okay although nothing too special (we got the chicken tenders and a wrap). Ice cream portions are ginormous, beware. We heard at least 2 people say thats a small when seeing their ginormously sized small ice cream (haha!)

Beach plum is one of the best places to get ice cream or a hot lunch along the NH seacoast. Only giving it a 4 because the ice cream can be inconsistent in quality from time to time. Overall very good

This year the 4 ozs. lobster roll is hardly 2.3 -3.00 ozs if any.Not worth the price. We had it two times this year. Last was Sunday August 15, 2021.

The Beach Plum in Hampton is a great place to pickup some ice cream if youre at the beach, just being located right across the street. The prices for ice cream and the food that they offer and quite reasonable and the portions are large regardless of the size you choose. Great place by the beach for ice cream!
I wanted a milkshake but a small was 7.25... wat lol. So I got a small twist cone that must have collapsed under the weight of its own monsterous proportions before completion thus was given to me in a bowl. Not a problem but the softserve is litterally tasteless, terrible, you can even add cocoa or vanilla to cheap mix... just y.Apparently they have good hard icecream and cold lobster on bread though if thats your thing but maybe drop the softserve.TLDR: atrocious softserve.

Lobster roll was amazing. So fresh and delicious. The Fish Chowder was very watery without anything in it. Tasted kinda sour. That was disappointing. Everything else was great.

My husband and I travel from alton to get food and ice cream here but the last few times they have gotten our order wrong or forgotten to make 1 if our 2 ice cream. Tonight again they forgot to make the soft serve cone and the girl in the window was not happy when we asked. They are super busy and we will ALWAYS go here.....
Ice cream at the beach is awesome at the Beach Plum. Good tasting, creamy and smooth texture to ice cream. I got a Marshmallow sundae, it was good, would have liked marshmallow sauce on top of ice rather than all at bottom of cup. I survived. The Moose tracks was great, the Peanut Butter Cup had lots of chunks, really good ice cream. Service was quick and staff was friendly. Great place for ice cream while watching the waves and beach.Try Beach Plum, you will like it! 8-)

Bad ice cream. Ive had a great lobster roll before. But the ice cream experience was terrible. First off, ice cream portions are probably three times bigger than they should be(this might sound good on the surface level, but I consider myself a huge fan of ice cream and I got my small cone, literally threw away a scoop before I took a bite, threw away another scoop while I was eating, and didnt even reach the cone). The size problem was exacerbated by the fact that the ice cream itself melted uncontrollably when outside temp was only 72°(your probably thinking I just dont know how to handle a cone, I have been eating cones my whole life and had no chance of preventing my entire arm from being covered). Finally, the ice cream itself was average, at best.Management, please be transparent about your cone sizes, and buy or fix your freezers so your ice cream does not instantly become cream.
Ran out of hot chocolate ran out of sprite when i said chicken specialties they said ran out said they sont have chicken specialties?then i had say tenders took like 10 minutes for them to figure my order out.:/Chicken tenders were hot and good though

Excellent food and service. We ordered a 10oz lobster roll,a tuna sub and a chocolate frap. Although my chocolate frap couldve been a little more chocolaty it was very thick, my lobster roll was enormous and my wife finished her sub for lunch the next day. Girls behind the counter were prompt and happy. Overall a great experience.

Great place for some summer food and ice cream, the foot long hit dogs were great.
Workers were wearing COVID masks improperly—some had masks down on chin, not covering nose or mouth, some had masks half on, covering mouth but not nose. The young woman scooping the ice cream was in the former category, so we left before being served. Felt unsafe to have someone not wearing a mask have their face so close to the communal vats of ice cream. I sincerely hope the management and staff are able to resolve this issue, as this seems like an easy fix to make a great establishment even better.
This beach plum is amazing. The ice cream is a very good. Just know when you come to this place you should order a small size because even the small sizes have like four scoops. I ordered a regular scoop ice cream and they said it was going to be three scoops but it was actually enormous it was like 6 in tall. They have many flavors and a few different kinds of soft serve too. They also have food here. I highly recommend going to this place it is all outside so you dont have to be afraid of covid. This place is amazing and so is there ice cream.

First, let me say that the Beach Plum has THE BEST lobster rolls anywhere!! I had one three weeks ago at the N. Hampton location and it lived up to my expectations; so tender and plentiful!!!I visited again today and had high hopes for the crab roll after enjoying my favorite lobster roll here many times. I thought I would try something different. Never again will I deviate from my beloved Beach Plum lobster roll. The crab roll was completely unappetizing. It looked like a lump of mayo-soaked tuna, only pinkish :(. It didnt taste much better, unfortunately. I expected chunks of crab and was VERY disappointed:( :( . I will go back for the lobster roll since it is my favorite.

Worst service I have ever experienced anywhere! 50 minuet wait for 2 chicken wraps. 2 people in the back preparing food. One lady put an online order in. Still waited over 30 minutes to get her order. That is totally unacceptable. Either get more help, or close down. At the very least, tell us towers it will be 30 to 40 minutes from the order time to getting their order. I understand it was busy. But as I said, get more help, or close down. We will not be going back any time soon.On the up side, ice cream orders were handled in 20 minuets or less.
Wound-up at the Beach Plum N.Hampton N.H. on Easter Sunday ordered two 6oz lobster rolls and two frapes the lobster rolls were disappointing mainly they were mostly lobster claws very little lobster meat and the frapes were not very thick have been to the orther locations and have been very satisfied dont know if I would go back
They didnt have any fried seafood like the other locations. I was disappointed about that .other than that it was good .
No idea why this place is rated so high. Poor customer service, WAY overpriced and cant even offer restrooms to customers. One lobster roll and two sandwiches (that were so bad no one finished them) came to almost $70 AND they had cups to tip the people who wrote down your order! What?? Nope. WAY better places for a lobster on the beach with good service, much better pricing and proper customer accommodations. Review to save others from making my mistake.
Excellent service ! Lobster Rolls excellent! Also serve home made and soft serve ice creams. Many flavors in homemade type. Open seasonal believe close Columbus Day. Outside tables with umbrellas. Parking limited when busy.
Great lobster rolls - really delicious! Great service, and I appreciated how they were sanitizing all outdoor tables between guests. They were also spaced out well which is good for both personal space and social distancing.
Love the Beach Plum! We enjoyed the best lobster rolls ever! Delicious fresh squeezed lemonade and yummy ice cream sundaes! Friendly and personable employees! A very kind man, a staff member at BP, even helped my granddaughter after she fell and skinned her knee and to the rescue with a bandaid! Everything was great! Thanks so much!
My husband has been looking for an amazing Lobster Roll for years! We were just introduced to Beach Plum about 1 month ago and I’ve gone out of my way to buy him and bring him to the Epping location (45 min drive) for a date three times just to get him their famous 10oz lobster roll! He’s in love...with me (and it!) 😂😍
