We had a great experience. It started with a timely response to my email and unexpected accommodations if a mattress was not available in time. We went to the Manchester showroom and all our questions were answered, we tried different mattresses and ultimately ordered a mattress, box spring and frame. I was very comfortable since we were all in masks. Our experience only reinforced buying local is the way to go! We will have a mattress within a weeks time!

We bought our first mattress from Portland Mattress Makers about six years ago...and we quickly decided that we would never buy a mattress from anyone else. Portland Mattress Makers, from ordering to delivery, actually listen to their customers and assist you in choosing the right mattress. And let me say that the customer service at this company is exceptional. We have never experienced this level of customer service. For example, this summer we had mattresses delivered to the house. They actually showed up when expected and there were two young men, dressed in uniform shirts and khaki pants. They were so professional and even brought a thank you gift from the company...and said that they appreciate our business. Most importantly, the mattresses are the BEST I have ever had. We personally love the Acadia Plush mattress, but I am sure the others are as high quality. We have mainly worked with Catherine, and I cannot begin to say enough good things about her professionalism, customer service and knowledge of product provided to her customers. My experience with Portland Mattress Makers was so very satisfying. The salesperson was not pushy and was helpful as to what I was looking for and the delivery was exceptional. I wanted a two sided mattress I could flip over like the good old days and I felt as though I had gone back to the past when people had pride in their products. After allowing time to thoroughly test my boats bed, the verdict is in. A wicked good bed!!! It rivals my home bed and the custom sized mattress cover is also good. We bought a king size adjustable from the Portsmouth NH store. The salesperson was very pleasant to deal with, not pushy, not hovering, but totally helpful and informative as we went back and forth trying many different types.The bed was delivered on the agreed upon date and time. The delivery guys were prompt, fast, and got the frame assembled in less than 30 minutes, taking the old bed and frame with them.The bed has been FANTASTIC to sleep on. I havent slept well in years, and now Im consistently sleeping through the night without waking up every 30 minutes to adjust. Oh, and they even gifted us a pound of Maine coffee. Nice touch! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Portland Mattress Makers.

Working with the Portland team for a new Boat mattress was a great experience. A trip to the showroom to pick the right firmness and plush top, materials, and protective covers was key. The template process was easy. Besure to take and send photos of the space. There was ample interaction with the build team and the store rep to answer questions throughout the process. I went to the Scarboro, ME store to pick-up and then performed the install myself due to a time crunch. In short ... Great product and service. Be patient - the process does take 6-8 weeks. Would definitely recommend over the other mattress companies you see at the boat shows - yes i used them due to cost. You get what you pay for - a quality product. Very happy.

No used-car-sales tactics, nice clean shop with protocols in place. Not overwhelming. No gimmicks. We wanted a flippable, old school inner spring that wasnt two feet thick and Portland Mattress delivered, literally. Weve had it for two months and we both love it. I went to a nearby furniture store to comparison shop and hightailed it out when the rep told me one model had a top layer of diamond dust. Come on. I just want to sleep well, Im not Cher.

From the first step in the showroom to last nights sleep - Portlands service and products have been exceptional. The service we received at the Portsmouth store was welcoming and unpressured. We were able to test out several mattresses and easily find the one that fit our bodies as well as our budget. Delivery was clean and fast and it was great they took our old mattress without additional charges. We also purchased a topper to extend the mattress life - and it is also well made and amazingly comfortable. Great shopping experience! Helped me find a fantastic mattress. It’s all latex with organic cotton covering. It’s fantastic!Also, VERY good advice to purchase the mattress protector. It’s makes it more comfortable but has also protected the mattress from spills and my dog.

Prices were comparable, if not cheaper, than any regular mattress store. We got to design our own mattresses and had them rather quickly. Very comfortable and we will be back next time we need to replace a mattress. Thank you!
