The Dr. Is a great guy. The rest is what you expect from Walmart. The women seem sedated. The main woman, Dawn I think, tells me the Dr. Doesnt know what hes talking about but she does. They get annoyed when you call on an order but they dont call you when your order comes in. Like most of walmart, they need a real manager to keep them on the job instead of playing little games and ignoring customers.
I did my first eye check up in Potsdam with them on Dec 2017. Back then, they seemed good. Yesterday, I went there to get my PD (Pupillary distance), but the lady was so rude, that she said that I could get my PD only if I bought glasses from them. I patiently explained to her that my insurance is not accepted there, and therefore I cannot. Even as a courtesy, the lady did not measure my PD and provide that to me. I wanted my PD, as I had to order my glasses online to save money. After being refused multiple times, I walked into walmart, bought a ruler for around $1 and then went home and measured my PD myself in front of my mirror, and finally provided it online so I could get my glasses. If this is how Walmart Vision Centers choose to make money, shame on them! Is this what has become of the healthcare? Healthcare professionals used to be so much different! I wish Walmart listens to this and improves themselves. I am not going back to them to get my eyes checked anymore.
Great service - worked hard to get me an appointment with an optician. My glasses said theyd be in within 10 days and they had them in 2. Only negative would be the availability of appointments - only 2 days a week.
Dr Metzler is THE BEST, most friendly person ever. I waited maybe 10mins and it was a busy day but they even made time for a walk in. The exam itself took maybe 15mins and I had my first contacts at the end if it. I dont have insurance and the appt was $100 which included the lenses. They also have a large variety of glasses and a good chunk of sunglasses as well, if youre into that.
