I received help for my eye exam and with my glasses.I had an old pair of glasses I brought in and not only did they adjust them to fit more snug on my face, the person helping me went above and beyond and cleaned the streaks off my lenses. It was great customer service. I recommend.

I had a great experience at this location! I got a same day appointment and although I was skeptical about having a telehealth eye exam it was easy and very accurate. Jason was awesome with all of the pretesting and guiding me through the exam. Timothy was equally awesome in helping me pick out my frames and didnt try to oversell me on things I didnt need. Plus my glasses came in a week early! No problems getting a live person on the phone when I called both times. Overall I couldnt ask for better!

Disappointed!!!!! Eye exam was completed virtually by optometrist who knows where. Later appointment to be called to scheduled for 1st time for CONTACTS trial 2 weeks later...I can only say WOW!!!

They refused to sell me replacement glasses. He wanted me to get an eye exam first. This was Bull because Im the type of person that only needs an exam once every five or six years because my eyes dont change that much. All it is is cheap money for them I wouldnt go back to them if they were the last company or business for glasses in the United States.

This was my first time going to a Vision Works. It’s sad to see all of the negative reviews, I had a great experience! From the moment I walked in the door everyone was extremely friendly and helpful! Between my exam and picking out glasses everyone was focused on making sure I was informed.

If i could give a zero i would. I had an eye exam Aug 2020. The dr was working remotely and had mentioned that i had cataracts but proceeded to sell me eyeglasses. I didnt know glasses could not correct this problem. I was not aware at the time that cataracts must be surgically removed. I spent close to $400 on a pair of glasses that i couldn’t see out of. The dr knew this but recommended the glasses anyway. I went back to the store before the 100 days were up and explained that the glasses were not working for me. The person who helped me requested that i purchase another pair of glasses. I couldnt afford the first pair and certainly was not buying another pair. Then he recommended that i move my computer monitor closer to me so can see. They did nothing to correct this problem nor referred me to another dr for cataracts. My vision has gotten to a point where i cannot perform my duties at my job. I have since seen a real ophthalmologist and have had surgery on both eyes. I have emailed customer service about my experience and they had the manager call and offer me new lenses. I have since changed my mind and wanted a full refund and ive sent several emails and they have all been ignored by customer service. Im out $400 and not to mention the thousands i have spent on surgery to correct my vision. Once my eyes are back to normal i may not need corrective lenses. So this place is out to make a buck and does not care about the customer whatsoever.

Everything went well at this store. Our eye exams were quick and the people working there were very helpful and the eye doctor was very nice. Unfortunately, if you have any questions or try to get a hold of someone at the store, good luck! Ive been trying to call back to ask about ordering some contacts, but nobody answers the phone. They tell you to go online to obtain a copy of your prescription on the phone while on hold, but when you go online theyll tell you to contact the store for your prescription! Im tired of going around in circles just to get a copy of my prescription and Im more tired of being put on hold every time I call!! When I was at the store I heard anther customer mention this same problem. That they tried to call and NO ONE answered!!! Very frustrating and disappointing.UPDATE:Im adding an extra star to my original review. Since then, their customer service has reached out quickly to improve their lack of service in the phone department. Im glad they answered the phone when I called to pickup our glasses. No hassle with the pickup and were happy with our glasses. They came within the timeframe that they said they would be ready. The people at the store do their job well. They just need to hire more people to help with their phones.

We went to Vision Works today to have glasses straightened. These glasses have always been a problem fit. Today though the young lady who fixed them did a very special job! She was patient, pleasant and professional. The glasses finally feel as if they truly fit. She even helped a friend who has recently moved to the area with her glasses. I had been thinking of going elsewhere for eye care until today. I think this young lady’s customer care kept one customer and probably created another. Kudos to her.

My wife and two daughters just walked into this store to pick out some frames. The manager proceded to berate her for 5 minutes about not making an appointment due to COVID-19. No “Hello” or “Can I help you?”, just talking down to her in front of my children about how she’s not taking this virus seriously (they all had masks on and there was 1 other person in the store). After 15 minutes of a lecture and scheduling an appointment (she could have had frames picked out by then), she walked out with my two very upset daughters. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Everyone that works here is super nice but they can never make my glasses uncrooked. Nearly every pair I ever got hasnt been straight on my face and it bothers me a lot. I kept asking for them to be straight and they kept insisting they were :(

I’m giving 5 stars because of the wonderful service I received by a young lady named Courtney. She was so polite, friendly, patient, and upbeat. Extremely professional! My experience at this location was great due to her despite a few minor issues due to the computer system.

I have recently switched eye doctors and today I had my first eye appointment at Visionworks in Pottstown, PA. My first experience here has been terrible to say the least.In previous years, I have had routine eye check-ups/appointments and I have always had 20/20 vision. Today, I was informed by the eye doctor that I now have 20/30 vision. The doctor failed to give me any information or reasoning behind this and pushed me into purchasing glasses on a whim.The eye doctor claimed I needed glasses for driving and for far distance when I can, in fact, see perfectly clearly. I have had no problems with my eyesight in the past and I continue to have no problems with my eyesight today. I am no eye doctor or eye specialist but I know my body and I know my eyes. If I were to have ANY trouble seeing, I would have addressed it immediately. I would NEVER put myself or others in danger on the road.Considering that I am 19 years old with no previous eye problems, IF my eyesight had suddenly declined, it SHOULD have raised a red flag and the doctor SHOULD have referred me to see an eye specialist. But the doctor failed to even give me ANY reasoning or explanation behind this sudden vision loss. The eye doctor also failed to give me other options such as contacts. It was the doctors way or the highway (Glasses or nothing).I am very dissatisfied with my experience here and in my opinion, it is all money driven. Here, it is all about selling glasses and making a profit, rather than giving accurate eye exams. With the poor patient care and not to mention the ridiculous pricing, I will not be returning to this Visionworks location or any others for that matter.

They never answer the phone, Ive had it ringing there for over a half hour now and now answer. Keep getting told we will get to u momentarily...also,had my new glasses for over a week and everything is still blurry, wont be going back. Horrible customer service

Horrible place. They charged me although my insurance covered it and the office lady claimed she couldnt file it through my insurance. Then they refused to send the script to me. Those are my records! Why did I pay 500$ for a pair of glasses and a exams if I cant even have my script. Horrible place dont go.

I must say the staff is mostly very friendly, that is why my review gave two stars and not just one, my experience was not overall great however. I was tested by the DR which was fine, but I was told I would have time to pick out frames. I was then rushed into picking out frames I feel as the employee continually kept coming out asking me if I had chosen frames yet, I then had to rush to pick out frames that I did not even know that I wanted, no the store was not closing for hours either. Now I am stuck with frames that I am not happy with. Also I was never contacted when my glasses came in, they had been sitting there for a week or more and had I not called, I feel they would have never reached out to me to get my new glasses! The glasses I received, feel cheap and when I picked them out, they did not give me anything to clean them, they did not adjust them on my face, it was here are your glasses, try these on and they look good and sent me out the door. Edit: Manager is nice here and took care of all my problems I have changed my mind and I would recommend going here if you need glasses. Thanks.

Ive never had any major issues here other than an issue with an order once. Theyre usually on-time for my appointments and the staff is good, although stretched thin at times. Pricing could be better but they have options for most budgets it seems.

When you go there its not bad at all. Good prices, helpful staff, and a good selection. BUT there are some problems as well. When my daughter needed an exam they called to tell me there was a problem with my insurance which is VSP. I call VSP and they say everything is fine on their end. So I call back the store and tell them what VSP said. Then the store calls me back and says there is still a problem. I call VSP again who then tells me VSP OWNS VISIONWORKS! The store shouldve just called VSP directly as they are owned by them. They were never supposed to involve me. Now for the last two days I have tried to call them to make an appointment for myself. Nobody ever answered the phone FOR TWO DAYS! I even tried to see how long it would take and I was on hold for 20 MINUTES before I finally gave up. Made an appointment online but seriously nobody can answer a phone there?

On 12/18/19 at 4:42 pm; I called the Pottstown Vision works and placed an order for a 90 day supply of contacts. Gave my credit card info and was told my contacts would arrive the day before or possibly shortly after Christmas.On 12/29/19 at 10:49am; I called the Pottstown Visionworks to check the status of my order b/c I never received a phone call nor an email. The young lady who answered with a slight attitude informed me that it could take up 14 days to receive my order and with the holidays it could be even longer.On 12/30/19 at 4:51pm; I called the Pottstown Visionworks to speak with a manager about my order b/c I didnt like the young ladys responses the previous day. I explained the situation and the person was very polite and gave me two week trial lenses to use until my order came in.On 1/9/20 at 4:56 pm; I called the Pottstown Visionworks to speak with a manager to check about my order again. This time I was told that the lenses I ordered are on backorder and there is no ETA for them. However, they stated theyll give me another set of trial lenses to hold me over.On 1/11/20 at 1:05 pm; I received a voicemail from the manager stating that I NEVER placed a recent order. She went on to say how their system showed I havent ordered any contact lenses since August 19.This was a headscratcher for sure! Leaves me questioning:1. How can this establishment be so incompetent?2. What did the employee do when they took my credit card info via phone on 12/18?3. How on 1/9 can I be told that my lenses are on backorder, but on 1/11 Im told that there is NO order in the system?4. Why would the manager leave a message basically accusing me of NEVER placing an order?After contemplating these questions; the answer is very clear. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!

They are seriously terrible. First visit there was a hipaa violation and patient files were wide open for everyone to see. Great job guys. Then they give me contacts to try, wont just accept that they work wonderfully and order them for me. Are forcing me to try to schedule a visit with the same doctor that I saw the day for my exam... nearly impossible! I have a career of my own and cannot just bend to their inconvenient schedule. I had to cancel and appointment for family reasons and was left a very unpleasant message from a man stating that I absolutely HAD to make an appointment to see that doctor or they refuse to release my contact prescription. Forget that!! Overall really unhappy with the unprofessionalism and they are definitely just in it for the money.

They promised me my glasses and contacts within 2 days and for over two weeks their response was items did not arrive. After two weeks they realized i did not pay for one of the contacts and asked me to give my credit card number on phone. When i said i wasnt comfortable with that they asked me to order it online. But then online website did not have my prescription. You see by that time i had already moved to a different place. So i kept calling them asking them if they could ship me my contacts, which they refused to until i had to put up all my bargaining techniques for about half an hour. Never shop here. this place sucks.

I have a slight astigmatism and after four tries they could not get my glasses to the correct perscription. Also one of the employees hit on my mom while i was being examined which i though was not only unprofessional and disgusting, but for him to wait till I was in another room seemed predatory.

I had a terrible experience there, the woman at the front argued with me that my sons insurance did not cover an eye exam till 2020 and that he didnt have Medicaid as a secondary. She was reading MY insurance info and not my sons and then wouldnt allow me to explain she just perceddes to argue. I do medical billing full time, I know a lot more about insurance policies than her. Three out of 4 of my family members went there for an exam and glasses but the 4th member will be going someplace else

These people really know how to get money out of people smh. they seen me and then after my visit told me I was being charged for services not included in my insurance ... paid an extra 13 something for the visit and 150 for a pair of glasses smfh ! do not go here ! they dnt explain anything to yu !

I will never go to Visionworks in Pottstown, PA again...I went into to order new contacts after receiving my trial pair...I stood there waiting for an hour while 5 other people came in, were waited on, and left...When I told them I have been standing here for an hour...he said they were busy...so I didnt matter while people came and went!!!...TOTALLY DISGUSTED...THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Yesterday I had my appointment at 4:00 PM after I am waiting there they tell me that they cannot attend to me because supposedly the system was having problems then they arrive like 3 more people and they attend to them as well, they only did not attend to me for being Hispanic because they gave a paper with another address of them that I have 25 minutes there if they speak Spanish and they are 4 minutes from my house. I felt super offended by the RASISM that they had yesterday. And that was with a bilingual person. Honestly, I will not go there again to make my glasses, I always throw them there but I do not return a bad experience
