They work directly with my bank(HVFCU) so most things were taken care of for me as far as financing. The staff was friendly and knowledge. Plus the woman that works there is attractive which is good because car buying is boring as hell. 😂 They have laid back environment. I HIGHLY SUGGEST you have your own independent mechanic inspect your car no matter where you go! In conclusion, I would do business with them again.

My Mustang GT slipped on black ice and was totaled in December 2017. My insurance company gladly gave me a rental that was simply amazing. They gave me a red BMW 430i hardtop convertible. This little luxury leather wrapped spaceship slept in my garage and rested at the bus stop for nearly a month. This sweet rental made me change my mind about what I was driving on my short commute of 6 miles. I hunted for an inexpensive version of this $40k BMW car day and night. During my search I kept running into this little Benz C320. The one feature I wanted more than anything was ‘all wheel drive’ but didn’t want a truck.Near the end of my search I had a spread sheet with car makes, prices, odometer readings, VINs and colors.  The little silver Mercedes C320 Sport was on that list.  I drove to Poughkeepsie and had a look at this car. The interior was amazing, the body was in good shape, the price was right. I bought that little Mercedes C320 and I don’t have to worry about a car note, it all just came together perfectly. The price was the first reason for picking this car at Minnow Motors.  The second reason was the “magic math” I had done in my head after losing my Mustang, I didn’t feel the need to have a super fancy car to do a 6 mile daily commute, but it does look good sitting in my garage...and sitting at the bus stop. My third reason for picking this car was it’s all stock, the rims, the radio and even the engine had not been modified, just like my Mustang.  Having a car that’s stock means I can make the mods I want in the future with fewer issues.  And speaking of stock, the forth reason for getting this Benz was the legendary M112 engine V6 engine.  This engine is capable of making it 300,000 with a little bit of TLC.  It’s been a year since I’ve bought my car from Minnow Motors and I did have to come back for an unexpected adjustment and while I was there I saw a reason to buy another car from Minnow Motors (if they happen to have what I’m looking for).  I saw them working…I mean seriously working hard.  I’m a middle-aged guy now and I’ve bought nine cars since my 18th birthday . I’ve been inside of many car dealerships and I’ve seen everything from bored salesmen shooting the breeze to doing magic tricks with playing cards.  That’s not what I saw at Minnow Motors, instead I saw hard working people doing their job, busy but still accommodating.   Every time I visited this little busy shop I saw a flux of workers doing their jobs, cleaning out a cars, test driving a cars, on the phone with the insurance people…I saw a work force doing their thing. I saw them working their butts off to finish the deal.At the end of the day you have to understand that I am a unique driver.  I don’t drive enough to effectively lease a car, I rarely need to drive long distances, and I’m actually a bit cruel to cars.  My car will rarely get to full engine temperature and the same goes for my brakes. So I need a tough little car that can start cold, drive in any weather including snow and keep me safe during this short commute.  I picked this little C320 from Minnow Motors because it was the right fit for my needs...and because the it has heated seats…and because of the sunroof…and because of the clean leather interior.

I’m very great at selling cars I’ll sell salt to a slug. Every lemon on my lot comes equipped with rust. that’s right all these foreign cars just look nice but are run down and need a lot of repairs . But don’t worry I’ll sell u a warranty that still won’t cover the repairs but I’m pretty sure your too stupid to read the fine print. If you have a problem with your car I’ll be sure to not answer or return any of your phone calls because once it leaves my lot it’s your problem.

I have nothing but good things to say about this dealership. I recently purchased a car from them and my experience was awesome. Before I took the vehicle home, the got my car looked over, inspected, and changed two tires that needed to be replaced. I’ve worked with other dealerships but none of them cared the way minnow motors does. Definitely if you are looking for good cars, good prices and people who treat you not like a number. He sold us a car that had a branded title and then when it started to breakdown in the first week he gave us a different car and that one broke down too then he told us the car we wanted that was supposed to be getting fixed was stolen but it sat on his property the whole time I think he was just trying to scam his insurance he is broke and conniving my friend warned me not to go to him and this is what I get for not listening. I had to threaten him with the attorney general for him to to take the car I no longer had off my credit report the bank thought I still had the car he never told them I didn’t and they were saying I owed them

Very patient, extremely helpful and awesome staff!! I will say I’m actually impressed! From the first day I walked in these guys did everything they could to help the process go smooth. Usually the private owned dealerships are pretty sketchy, and will try to get over on you in any way but not these guys!! I bought a 2005 Acura TL back in January from these guys and about 3 months later the car started having horrid transmission issues, and a small sensor problem. (Which I’m sure they knew nothing about prior to selling it to me). It needed $830 worth of work done to get it back running. I was completely heartbroken, I called Minnow Motors with low expectations since I was just a few weeks outside of the 2 month warranty period but I gave it a shot anyway & was actually impressed and relieved. They had my back & completely assisted me & didn’t try to argue it. Now my TL is back up and running strong again thanks to these guys. That’s an honest, genuine dealership and they hold their words! Definitely a 5 star review from me I am so thankful and glad I gave them my business! Would highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t have great credit, is buying their first car from a dealership, and anyone who doesn’t know a lot about cars but doesn’t want to be scammed.

The receptionist and the owner are the best and will do everything that they can to accommodate you. They are truly heaven sent. I love my BMW and I will be going back in the future. Bought a car from them about a year ago. I dont know who did the New York state inspection on it but in the past year Ive had to put easily $1,500 into the car. Purchased a warranty with them, the warranty never helped once. It was an additional $1,000 on the loan for the warranty. Two weeks ago I spent $600 on another repair, after spending 500+ on another repair a couple months before that. The inspection is due, I took it last night and the NYS certified inspection facility said the car should never have been sold and is rotting and unsafe to drive. Ive been told theres no way that its been that way for less than a year. I now have a car that I still owe a good amount of money on and cannot be repaired without spending thousands and thousands of dollars. The facility didnt even charge me because he said he felt bad I was screwed on the car. Be careful who you buy from, because I was sold a dud, and these guys havent answered a single call Ive made in months.

Bought a volkswagon over a week ago, The staff is friendly and i didnt have any problems with the entire process, my car seems to be working fine and so far im happy with my purchase and hoping it would give me what its worth. They also seem to have a good support for buyers if any issues arise but hopefully the only time i have to go back there is to purchase my next car

I found a car that I absolutely love, and I couldnt be happier with the experience. Matt walked me through the insurance and loan process, and they registered the car for me. Minnow Motors did an outstanding job with my vehicle. I purchased it and it has some issues and I contacted minnow motors and they did an outstanding job in keeping their word to fix my vehicle at no cost to me and honored my warranty.

Please DO NOT be fooled by Minnow Motors. They are terrible business men and sold our family three cars in which one is completely costly to fix and it is a loss which I brought to Matt the owners attention and he had ZERO resolution, the second vehicle needs about $3500 of work done to the car. The third car still has problems we are trying to get resolved. They portrait very nice, not pushy, and kind at first. Then they take your money and give you the finger. It is understandable they are a used car dealership but to have purchased three cars two without a warranty when they were requested by us and we were told no thats not a requirement. All three cars were purchased in February and it is now November. May I add that one of the reviews is from is own Sales Person John Singh from six months ago. Another red flag. Good luck to anyone who does choose to business with them I wish you the best because you will get nowhere aside from beginning run around in circles.

I bought a car from Minnow Motors a few months ago and it was the easiest car buying process my husband and I have ever done! My husband and I are both in the military. My home town is Poughkeepsie and I knew I wanted to buy a car when I went home to visit family. I looked on the minnow motors website and viewed a few different cars that were exactly what we were looking for. I made a few phone calls just asking about the cars and what their recommendations would be for my husband and I, also expecting our first baby. They set us up in the right direction so when I did get to NY I went, test drove the car, and fell in love! Matt (the owner) personally helped me set up everything so I was good to go when I got back to VA so everything would be a breeze! He even offered for me to call him later if i needed any help with the process in VA! Needless to say, Minnow Motors were some of the nicest car salesmen and gave us an awesome car for a great deal! Just genuinely nice people. Who are also extremely military friendly!

Good place to go if you have problems with your credit. My friend was in the market for a car ... any car for that matter we had been looking for a goo deal for about a month. I forgot her name, but I think she is the only female there .... she is young but she got him in a car with a decent interest rate and payments that were still in the 2 hundred dollar range for only 30 mos. He drove off in that car the same day.... How is that for service. Anyone that I can send I will send to Minnow. A bit off the beatten path, but worth going that route if you need a car.

I bought a car here and within a month the transmission died and Matt wouldn’t help me fix it or give me a different car now I’m stuck paying 3 thousand to get it fixed not to mention the computer died within a week of driving.

No pressure, fair price, great service.We bought a 2004 LR Disco from Matt to use as our winter car. Matt never pressured us while we were looking and when we were ready to buy he gave a bottom line price that we felt was too fair to try to haggle down. He assured us that if anything went wrong with the car in the next few weeks, his team would take care of it. And he wasnt lying.Discos are prone to oil issues and ours was no exception; within a couple of weeks it had left a lot more than the usual spots and when we brought it back to him, they fixed all of the seals and, even though it wasnt completely gone, replaced the oil pump. It could probably have lasted longer, maybe long enough that we wouldve just brought it to our local shop, but they did it right and didnt charge a dime. The car has run perfectly the entire winter.I would definitely go back and recommend Minnow Motors to anyone.

Well, Even one star is a little too generous for this bunch, But let me get to the nitty gritty. With only a portion of my income on the books at the time, I had very little options on where to go for a vehicle. dealerships like Minnow Motors specialize in these kinds of situations & take advantage. I got approved for a vehicle from here back in February, Worked great for the first month & I got cursed with a CHECK ENGINE light ever since. I mentioned my issue to the owner MATT several times & constantly received the run around. I lost plenty of time at work, Due to having to bring the vehicle into a mechanic MINNOW recommended. (Go figure, right?) I would receive a phone call stating the issue has been fixed (several times) to come & pick up the vehicle. Not even 10 miles distance from the shop & the light would come back on. For someone that has a family & works 17 hour days to have to deal with such a headache is anyones worst nightmare, I could imagine. The last week of September driving home from work & the motor seized up on the highway. Thats not all, The mechanic also found metal shavings throughout the entire fuel system, In which made the situation 100x worse. Only 8 months with this vehicle & it is no longer operable. It has been at a mechanic shop ever since, The cost? $3,000-$4,000 to fix the problem. Considering thats about half of the actual worth of the vehicle, That doesnt seem feasible to someone with a brain. So not only have I been out of a vehicle, but because of Minnow Motors my credit will be taking a beating. Shame on these crooks for taking advantage of people just to make a buck!

Ok ..lets start with the minnow brothers ..nice guysBut the car i bought from them had many hidden issues that prior to buying I had asked about ..especially motor related..drove the car 200 miles and check engine light came on hooked it up to a scanner and got the codes i dreaded (Im a mechanic by the way) these codes were not there when i scanned at dealer so apparently they were erased by them prior to me coming..$4500.00 partSo i over payd for the car just to get it after agreeing on a price because someone else wanted it..Ok thats on me..got in touch with owner explained situation and was told it was a really nice car got it for a good price ...no warranty...HUH?...ok..so just scan your cars and make shure all monitors are ready is the advice i wanna give ...in the end being nice guys does not mean a thing.. it was a $5500.00 lesson after all said and done...used cars are tricky
