I went to the Poughkeepsie Ulta today to get new hair product for curly hair. I was SO happy to have asked the exact right person for help. Weaver was so helpful, knowledgeable and really took her time to help me find exactly what I needed. Her customer service was the best I’ve received in a really long time.10/10 would recommend to a friend. Weaver is an outstanding employee!!!!

Very very disappointed in the store and with the company!! On October 5 I booked an appointment for October 29 only to be told two hours before my appointment that it was canceled I was totally upset because I had two engagements for the weekend. I booked another appointment for November 5. The only reason why I made another appointment is because my daughter give me a gift card to use. I had to scramble to find someone else to help me set my hair for my night event and paid extra for it on short notice. I called corporate and made a complaint and no feedback from them. I received a text and a phone call on November 4 verifying my appointment. And then on Friday three hours before my appointment time they canceled again. I guess there’s only one Stylist in the whole store who can style my hair.

Went to the salon to get my hair cut. Wanted to get my hair colored as well but hadnt been able to add that into my appointment. My daughter was getting hers done and we had wanted to do it together. That was until I spoke to my stylist. She was more than willing to fit me in which I appreciated. She was very nice, personable. We talked about hair color, she offered an idea. I agreed but sadly I discovered all it really was, was matching the color I already had. Thats fine, least my Greys are gone. My biggest problem was the haircut. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She proceeded to cut my hair but once she was done cutting it. That was it. There was no styling. Nothing. She basically cut it and allowed it to dry then walked away. She was more focused on talking with my daughter than finishing my hair. I kept thinking....thats it? It is not even close to what I wanted and I later found places that were uneven. Choppy. Longer than it was on the opposite side.Needless to say I wont be going back to get my hair done again. Which is sad considering it was my first time at an ultra salon. Oh well guess hair clips are in my future until my hair grows back.

Gina at the Brow Bar is amazing! She’s always friend and willing to help with a positive attitude, I’ve found my place finally and will continue to come back for my brow wax and tint!

Also lots of name brand makeup. They always send me coupons and you can get great discounts. You also get points that add up to dollars to help you save. I highly recommend this store 👌. There doesnt seem to be alot of help around. If you have a question, you have to hunt someone down and hope they know something about the product or the store layout to help you. I do like the fact I dont have to go through the mall just to get to one store. I dont feel uncomfortable or judged like when Im in Sephora, so thats a plus. But really I find it to be ok.

I went in to do a return and the initial young lady who helped me was very nice and tried to help me order the right product I needed. She then needed her manager to override the return, her manager then came up starred me down and didnt even say hi. She then asked me why I was returning and I told her I picked out the wrong products. She then rolled her eyes and said this is a big return then told the girl who was helping me to check the boxes to make sure everything was still there. Instead of maybe saying the girl was new and explaining to me why she had to check my sealed packages. Very rude and unprofessional. Will not be coming backed to this Ulta.

Sooo helpful! Went and found a gift for my sister who I was currently with. Went over and asked staff to run my card and hide the gift at register so she wouldn’t see. They did so and were so sly about it! ;) Very impressed by their customer service!!!

I can’t express how AMAZING and TALENTED Elena is at what she does!!! It has been forever since I’ve had someone really take the time to listen to my concerns and be able to out do the expectations I had for my color and cut! My hair looks amazing even doing it on my own. I absolutely love her and my hair. She runs her salon with such a rare sense of customer service and skill that I would highly recommend anyone to come get services at Ulta! Thank you Elena for the wonderful way you have made this woman feel from the outside in, you’re the best!

I have some complaints about an employee she is short with black hair she was SO RUDE! The girls in the front and her spend their time gossiping instead of working and she does know how to treat a costumer. It reflects poorly on the store it makes for a miserable shopping experience. Ulta lost a loyal shopper. Hire better people to work with better people skills and leave the gossip out of the store.

I went to get my grays covered up and a hair cut. I went to Linda L. And she was amazing. She made some suggestions with dying my hair as well as a treatment to help my hair. When I was all done my hair looked and felt amazing. It was so soft and silky. She also suggested some products to help my hair so I bought those as well. Definitely request Linda for your hair needs, shes awesome

I can not stress this enough Samantha and Katherine are absolutely amazing Sam saved my hair from a kitchen travesty. Trust me they know what their doing ... absolutely love them can not say that enough. I walking in feeling absolutely mortified by my hair, left feeling amazing the girls were so sweet to me and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. They were able to squeeze me in as a walk in ❤️

Oh boy..... I adore this place! It would be a dream come true if I could have a shopping spree with being able to take anything I wanted in the store!! I actually have to be careful in there because I tend to overspend very easily!They have so many brands available and the ones I I like most are the sample size items because theyre not too expensive and you get to try them before buying the full size items. I also love trying on all the beautiful perfumes..... youll go in and never want to leave!

Today it was a great visit. Employees were helpful. There are just some internal conversations that should be kept in the background I think, but that isnt a big deal. Theyre on top with the reorganization and cleaning after customers.

I just got my hair done at this salon last week and the stylist was personable, but I left the salon very disappointed. I went in for highlights and left with my brown hair looking not much different at all. I have had multiple people ask me where are the highlights? I was charged an outrageous price which is the reason why I am very frustrated with my service. I didnt get any kind of consultation with prices, so when I walked to the front with my ticket, I was very shocked by the number. The root touch up and haircut prices I understood, but I was charged $125 for highlights for what looks to be about 10 highlights that you can only see in the sun, and I was also charged for a deep conditioning treatment that I didnt even ask for! My hair is not damaged by any means, so the treatment wasnt necessary, she just did it without even asking me, and then charged me for it! After spending $275 I expect my hair to look very different, and I walked out looking almost the same as when I walked in. I am highly disappointed in my service. I will probably never get my hair done in this salon again. If youre looking to get your hair done, I would look elsewhere so you are not charged for services you didnt even ask for.

Very bad experience with greeter/sales associate at this store. Beyond rude and unprofessional. Some staff seems fine, however, the woman I interacted with does not understand the appropriate way you talk to customers. Ended up speaking to store manager and he was apologetic about my experience.

Linda is absolutely amazing!! I have gone to her a few times now and every time I leave, I am speechless over my hair. She is the only person I trust to dye my hair and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I don’t know what i’d do without her!

Love this place but had to give it one star because time in a time out the manager (shorter girl with dark hair) is just a horror to deal with. Takes a way from any good experience you have here. She’s very unprofessional and feels the need to act like she’s better than others. Not only does she ignore needs of customers but I’ve seen her treat and speak poorly of her own staff.

Amazing ! Ive been looking for a hair stylist that I can trust for the longest and I had such a great experience today at Ulta thanks to Jasmine. She did exactly what I wanted and took her time. She did and amazing job. Going to start the new year with an entirely new look thanks to her :)

I wanted to get a more natural yet polished look. Nicole was very helpfu,, patient and on target, she helped me pick up the right colors of Nars blush, lipstick as well as eyebrow gel.I am so happy with my purchase .

Went to have a trim shape up my hair a bit before a wedding. My hair had grown so much over the summer. My ends were dry. I asked for blunt cut angles around my face . The young lady was very personable. She asked me if I wanted to add a “heat activated conditioning treatment “ to which I agreed . I told her my hair was dry. The blow dryer was so hot at one point it was scorching my scalp . She then proceeded to put two heaping handfuls of god knows what in my hair. When I asked what it was she replied “everything” my hair was very flat . Completely devoid of volume . I wasn’t happy but being pressed for time figured how bad could it be? I found out exactly how bad when I washed out all the product. And had a look at my hair in the mirror. It was kind of dry to begin with now it was completely Fried . My hair looked as if it were chemically processed !! I have split burnt hair from top to bottom. It is completely uneven and has random short strands throughout my entire head !! I went and spoke to a manager who said they would have the “” beauty educator”” fix it for me. She was barely able To fix anything because there were so many very short patchy pieces she would have had to cut my hair super short to correct it. I’m so upset. My hair had gotten so long and now I have to deal with this mess for at least another year until it grows enough to trim out all the blunders. I’m glad I asked for a trim. And not anything complicated like layers!!

Excellent service isnt even the right words for this place, its AMAZING service. Samantha and Sarah can do amazing thing with my kinky curly hair. Sarah straightened my hair with the keratin and it came out great 2 weeks ago and it still looked good. Today I went to have my ends cut by Samantha and we were talking about different techniques for curly hair and she recomended braiding it so we did and I fell in love.

Was wonderfully surprised today that I had lots of points to use. Took an $88 purchase to $12 after using all the pts.

Huge shoutout to Elena the salon manager who made my first haircut after soo long an amazing one! She didnt care that I was picky and instead listened to my concerns and goals, then she treated me to at least 4 cups of espresso. She gave great tips on how to care for my curls and went above and beyond to make sure my hair was fabulous and I am more than impressed with the results! I love her so much for all the care and love she puts into her service and I even met an amazing single mom and her lil boy, and we talked non stop about video games! I have never felt more at home and truly pampered at a salon before and I definetly will be back! 12/10 stars!

Breane in the hair salon is so incredible and talented! She really understands problematic hair and takes her time to do a great job. She brought my giant head of unruly blonde hair back to life and I couldnt be happier, give this girl a raise! I am so glad I found her and wish I lived closer. Great with color, cuts and blow outs.

This is my favorite beauty spot. I will always choose this over Sephora, Cosmo Prof and Sallys. Their prices and selection are unbelievable, they have both high end products and drug store products. I have not been to the salon but their retail section is unbeatable.

They stylists here are fantastic. I sharpen their shears, and they always have great styles and happy clients everytime I visit. The stylists are always booked out a long time, and their clients are loyal.

I just love Ulta, they have such an awesome selection of products! Me and my sister always tend to find ourselves sampling the perfumes, just have such a fabulous selection of those too! Also, it seems like you always get a great free gift at the check out too whenever you buy certain items. ...I tend to get lucky here!! I also love the fact that I dont have to go all the way to the mall to grab an item or two and I found that they carry a lot of the same brands as both Macys and Sephora, not all of what they carry but alot, I think in time theyll have practically the same things available which would be great!

Angry and disappointed! I would advise against anything in their salon. I booked an appointment asking for a simple trim along with a braid for a wedding. When I got there they could only do a simple braid that I could have done myself and paid 10 bux for just that simple 3 stand braid. On top of being called love about 50 times which I found to be very condescending. This was how I left looking pic is before I got dressed.

I love this store and spend a lot of money here...I just wish it wasnt so difficult to get a sample or trial of something. At Sephora, they will let you try anything in the store. I like to try creams and such before spending $100 on something. I think they need to follow that model because I would go to Sephora over Ulta for this reason.

Ivy is amazing, if your there ask for her, she is so helpful, does a great make over. They have awesome selection and prices are good.

Staff is very hit or miss. Ive had some wonderful help while Ive been here and Ive also wondered who thought it was a good idea to hire people with such terrible attitudes. If one doesnt help you or isnt nice, move on to another because they are not all like that. The store is sometimes messy and their stock isnt always great. I guess this whole store is a hit or a miss. Hope you go in on a good day, if you go!
