Never had an experience bad enough to write about it before this. The owner (I think) was extremely rude to me and my friend who came in. We were looking at wine and he asked to help us but we werent looking for anything in particular. My friend had a lollipop and he told them to take the lollipop out of your mouth and talk clearly to me. We werent loud or rude, I think he just didnt like us because we were college students. AVOID if you are a college student. We came there because it was within walking distance of Vassar. My friend bought an almost $100 bottle of whiskey to celebrate completing their thesis. I wish we wouldve given our money to someone else.

Kevin always gives great options of wines, especially when I go in looking for something to compliment what I’m making for dinner. Very knowledgeable of all the wines he has in stock and if he doesn’t carry something that you’re looking for he’ll see if he can get it for you!

Keven is the best. I go to Southside for the service and convenience. I am newish to the southside of Poughkeepsie but would be ashamed to go anywhere else. This is owned and operated by your neighbor who supports the community in so many ways.

Best local wine store in the area. I make the trip from highland over the bridge just to support southside. The owner is great, very knowledgeable and friendly and they have a family vibe there. Def recommend you go for a wine tasting too!
