Ive visited this UPS Store several times over the past few months. Each time Ive found the staff and owner to be very helpful and courteous. Even with the demands of social distancing and customers lined up outdoors, they kept things moving and were very friendly!
Well, I honestly avoided making this an issue.The 4.3 rating is a scam from possible friends or relatives. I urge any with common sense do business elsewhere.Iβm appalled at my recent visit at this location.Enjoy the package that was signed and delivered at 2600 South Road Poughkeepsie NY.Your very welcome to help yourself in mishandling and keeping the package.I get times are difficult even business owners or employees are desperate.What happened to opening others packages or theft being a federal offense.
Shipped item to Canada. Asked if I needed insurance and was told the shipping covered up to $1000. Package got lost and its only $100. Now I have to come out of pocket to refund my customer the rest. Was told by 1-800 ups the manager of the store could file a dispute, asked the manager/owner about it and he just kept saying no you get what they gave you. Ship FedEx or USPS, anywhere but here

This is the only UPS shop in the area that charges people to connect to the internet in order to print. Not satisfied with charging for each page printed, they charge for each second on the computer before one can connect, open am email, retrieve a file and print. Conveniently, the USB port never functions right when doing an offline upload/print. I switched to the Wappingers office.
I use the pack and ship services for my auction BUSINESS customers. Great prices, great packing services, wonderful people to work with. MY customers are happy and thatβs what matters. Highly recommended!!!!

We have been loyal paying customers of this store for at least 4 years. We also have a P.O. Box at this location. A few days ago the older male who works behind the counter was not only unprofessional but risking peopleβs life by not wearing a mask! We did not say anything about the non use of a mask at the time of conflict. When I walked in to get my mail I saw a lot of customers not social distancing in the back. For my safety I ask the worker if he could get my mail for me however he refused. After I stated my opinion he left from behind the counter, got up in my face, and asked, βdo I want to take this outsideβ. I refused to go fight outside, just wanting to pick up my mail. He then said to take my business elsewhere!
I needed a notary and The UPS Store came up when I googled to find one. They were very courteous and took care of my paperwork and made me copies. Also VERY reasonably priced for these services... All I had to do was put it in a self addressed envelope and put it into the mail slot at the UPS Store! One stop βshoppingβ! I would definitely recommend The UPS Store!
I usually donβt post negative comments and I always give people a second chance but I have been into this store twice and both times the man behind the counter was rude. Barely smiled and looked miserable. I almost dread going in there but itβs so convenient. Based on other reviews I think this man needs another job.

Wasnβt sure how to return a pkg. Was helped quickly and efficiently and gentlemen was very pleasant and helpful in showing me how to proceed. However, my second experience was not as good. They were closed the Sunday before Christmas and didnβt open until 10am on Christmas Eve instead of 8am. The machines had to warm up and one wasnβt functioning People were annoyed
Notery had multiple people show up for appointment. Was not there waited fof almost an hour. Was notified by staff that he is owner he does what he wants. Staff unfriendly, cannot manage appointments properly. AVOID THIS STORE.

The owner Shaojun and staff of this store were excellent. They helped me ship two palettes to California, made extra trips to my location with packing supplies, and helped me with some additional packages that were left over. If youre packed up and moving stuff that will fit on palettes, definitely consider this reasonably priced option to professional movers or truck rental.

Just poor customer service. I asked for a very simple request.I was shipping two boxes going to two different locations. I asked the guy to give me 2 separate receipts like I do at every UPS store I ship from ....But for some reason this guy had to huff and puff and question me and make me explain my reasons for the request.How about, no problem sir, you got it. That would have been more appropriate.The 40 second argument I had with the guy took 10 times longer than it took him to print the second label.UPS would be ashamed...

I felt that though they were busy they could have been less rude and more polite. However, I left some expensive electronics in their care to package and ship. The party who received the electronics said it was professionally packaged to prevent damage during shipping. I had them ship foreign currency and they packaged and shipped it professionally.

Ive gone into this store a few times to ship things over the holidays and throughout the year, and the staff there has always been helpful and have even offered the best, most cost efficient ways of sending my items using their service.

The Absolute worst. I Only gave a star because I had to. I dropped my Nintendo Switch off here to be sent in for repair on the 3rd of June, as of the time of writing it is now the 18th and the label was never scanned or put into the UPS system. I have tried several times talking to the individuals at this store having only been met with Horrible responses and less than Stellar help. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy losing you packages as well. Oh and just to top it off at this moment it does not look like I will receive any compensation for their mess up. STEER CLEAR.

11/15/18 Update: This most recent shipment was a business shipment which is why it was not listed under my name. The staff member who brought the package to the UPS store reported that the staff member there looked like he was on speed, had to process the package 3 times before he got it in the system, and was generally unhelpful and unknowledgeable. This package was returned by UPS for incorrect labeling which the UPS store is blaming on my business. This is particularly ridiculous b/c the reason we brought it into the UPS Store was to make sure it was labeled properly. Which the store staff member said that it was.The only attempt to fix this the UPS Store made was to offer to re-ship the item free which I refused since I dont trust them to do any better the 2nd time around.I have also had issues with their customer service and the confidence tha their employees are well trained for personal shipments in the past, which I why I say to only drop off prepared packages.I have provided this update because the store owner asked me to fix my review since he offered to fix the situation while denying that there had been a problem or that it was in any way the UPS Stores fault.Original: Do not do anything more than drop off a package that you set up online, paid for yourself, and printed & attached the label already. And only for ground shippingAnything more complicated they will get wrong, lose, mis-label, ship with the wrong speed/type, and/or lose your shipping documents

If i was able to leave no stars, i certainly would. I am normally not the type to leave reviews, but this company has put me through hell and i feel obligated to warn as many people as i can about their less than stellar customer service. On 6/3/2017 i dropped off a package to the UPS store in Poughkeepsie NY. It was to be shipped to nintendo america for a Nintendo switch needing repairs. The following wednesday, i checked online to re insure that the package was in transit to nintendo. But unfortunately, all it said was waiting to be processed. So i called the ups store to see what was going on. I was told that since i dropped off pacakage on a saturday, UPS ground would not have picked it up til monday and once packages are out the door they can no longer track it and it is out of their hands. So my next course of action was to call UPS themselves. While on the phone with UPS and not with UPS store, i was informed that the UPS store is a 3rd party store, and it was a privately owned business. Was also told that since i did not pay for the label, nintendo did. i was out of luck because they have no trace of this package going any where. So then i called nintendo, i informed them of the situation, and they attempted to launch an investigation, but are falling short because as i have stated their is no trace of my package. And normally they were able to see at least some type of movement, but in my case there was absolutely none. I feel it is safe to say my package never left the store properly. As in an employee was careless and left it on counter where i random passerby could have stolen it, and employee has stolen it, or it was never scanned. I have been on countless phone calls and have been led no where, even furthering my suspicion of this. The UPS store in poughkeepsie should be held liable and confess their mistakes, instead of treating a FORMER customer like a deranged psychopath. Every step i have taken as been on my own will, and all a ups employee has told me sorry can not help you. If you pay for a service such as in my case paying for a package to be shipped out, then by all means this should not be a nearly month long process. From the sounds of it, i will be out of 300 dollars due to the incompetence of their employees. My suggestion to who ever is reading this, do not use this store or maybe any of their stores because even UPS store corporate have their heads up their asses. If you are prepared to cover the cost of lost/stolen items by all means go ahead. But if not, head my warning because all they will do is deny deny deny and send you through loops to make it seem like they are not the ones at fault.

This store is like a private business that treats people as they wish. The two men, especially the one who appears to be the manager, is rude and responds to questions very rudely. I will never go back to that place. I am surprised that UPS allows them to stay open under the UPS name. Dont get passport pictures taken here! Mine came out really bad, so bad that it was not acceptable for use. Too dark and because the photographer was too close it looked more like a selfie. They charge $15.00, the county clerk took a picture for $12.00.
Called about making a deposit to my USAA account and the man cut me off, then told me they dont do that. He seemed too busy to deal with someone who wasnt going to make him any money. Ill find another...
