I scheduled a hitch installation for my vehicle. U-haul online claimed I can go there at 4 pm, but there was no tech available on site. We rescheduled for another day, and it went very smooth. Please call ahead to confirm, dont trust u-hauls website. The installation was done in an hour. While they were working on it, I was able to continue to do my work thanks to their free wifi. Staff were polite and courteous. I have no experience with the other services they provide, but hitch installation was fine for my Subaru Crosstrek.

Kind, helpful, and accommodating. Loaned us a different receiver so the trailer we rented would be at the right height.

Worst experience ever! Do not use Ubox for anything! I would rate less than one star if it were possible. Had a hard time getting Uhaul to pick up Ubox from my home once I had it loaded. Buyers wouldnt close until it was gone. Arrived at destination more than 10 days later than guaranteed date, actually more than two weeks but the guarantee date was moved forward online, causing me to have to sleep on floor in my new place waiting for my items to arrive. At one point I received an email from U-haul saying I will be notified once the U-box has been found on the boat. I only moved from California to Oregon. Antique sideboard marble top was cracked in half, see pictures. Filed claim and was denied any compensation. Told there was no sign of damage to U-box so not their fault. Definitely going to get the word out that Uhauls Ubox is not the way to go!

Good customer service but they have no experience in vehicle/truck towing knowledge.

I would not trust this place, The area does false advertisement. They have storage rooms outside that look nice, but when you go in the storage looks like a dump, looking old, and in a falling apart building. The storage also has plenty of dust for the virus to hide in. The roofs of the storage are fence material so all your things will get that virus dust. The rooms are weird sizes so you might get one with a big bar in the middle, and they will not discount that for you. They have military options but will not tell you about it. This is to make more money off of you. They are penny pinchers so any type of mark that is on the rental and they will bust you for. Make sure you take a picture of everything. The trucks are always dirty, and present a real nice environment for the virus. The manager Jose Agular is not so kind to the customers, and be careful making a reservation because if you change plans he will charge you 50 plus, and make your first step in the moving experience the worst. Make sure you ask for a rental that has a charged battery because they do not charge the rental on a daily basis. The only good part are the hitch installations by Steven McDonald. He has that touch making that hitch look nice.

Got my hitch installed here. Good service, professional work done in a timely manner. Friendly staff. Had a nice waiting area, clean bathroom, free wifi and coffee.

I ordered a trailer hitch/install on the Uhaul website over a week ago. I was scheduled to have it installed today. When I arrived, they told me the hitch had not arrived. I never received a call telling me that I would not be able to get the hitch installed today.I understand that parts can run late, but there is no excuse not to notify a customer. They waisted my time, I drove from Lakeside to Poway for no reason.

Hitch pro Steven McDonald was wonderful. Knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and efficient. Will absolutely be coming to him for any and all hitch needs and telling my friends.

This place is the worst. The manager Jose which is not worthy of the name is the worst. Not kind, and does not clean the terminals that we have to use in that place. SO dirty inside, even with a mask you are not taking care of your health. No one in there does there job correctly. The storage sucks, what a waste of time. The trucks smell like nasty, and everything is super sticky. Never going here again, I recommend another place people.

Has always been a good place to rent a truck. Ive done so several times and have had good trucks and some old ones, but they have always been fair and have done everything that was expected of them. Good store of supplies in their lobby. Be sure to make a reservation during peak moving times (summer).

I made a reservation for a specific location and my reservation was changed to a new location but UHaul didnt bother to email or call me. So I had to go much farther and pickup a very old, beat-up and unsafe (as the back doors opened multiple times while driving on the freeway) to pickup and than again to return the trailer. After almost 20 years of our company renting from UHaul, Im VERY disappointed and we will be taking our business elsewhere.

It was a great deal. We needed to keep the truck for another day, they got us a very good deal. Recommended.

Horable check in experience! No room for parking outside. For no reason other than trying to send him a link the guy that was behind me is now at the desk getting his truck. No such thing as Express checkin. I got here at 11 and its now 1149 and only 2 people have been helped. 4 people left to do business elsewhere.

I needed a van to go pickup some furniture at IKEA that wouldnt fit in my car. These guys were right there for me when I needed them. I rented a van for $20 a day plus $.69 a mile as I recall. The whole bill was less than $70. Ive heard the IKEA delivery guys suck and overcharge. Also if you want something done right do it yourself. I got all of the stuff I needed for my project with room to spare and the van was so easy to use. Way better than your personal vehicle for this sort of thing. The staff was laid back and easy to deal with. Its much better to go see these guys than it is poking a hole in your headliner trying to use your car as a moving van. Theyve got several sizes of van or truck all ready to drive off.

Great selection of trucks & boxes. They even carry small book boxes which I havent seen at other U haul locations. These boxes help as they are lighter once full of books.

Clean and well organized store. Prompt and friendly customer service. All the moving supplies you would ever need. I am getting a tow hitch installed on my car. The Poway place has a lot of newer, smaller Ford Transit vans for rent, which would make moving smaller items a breeze.

Unaware of my rental, slow to get the truck ready, and they seemed completely clueless about any online rental processes. (This was the first time). The second time was even worse, with employees who had a rude and harsh tone, and what I feel was false advertising and outright dishonesty about a very minor refund. I would not recommend this uhaul location to anyone...ever.

Easy checking of rental truck. Well lit lot with signs where to return. Attendant was quick and courteous.

I was guaranteed a truck on the day I was moving and the gave it to someone else. I was able to get a truck but I had to drive across town to Vista to get it. The staff was friendly, apologetic and helpful but they really stressed me out on an already stressful day.

Make sure you get a reservation number. Made a reservation with Mary the week before our move. We arrived just after 8am to pick up the truck. Guess what no reservation!!!! No truck!!!!! Sam tried to get us a truck nothing available. Horrible experience!!!

Waiting in line for over 45 mins. Just needed to return some boxes. When we were about to be served one of the employees decided to take lunch break without taking an extra 2 minutes. After waiting for another employee total waiting time amounted to over an hour.
