Its pretty cool because they have a large selection of old and new games for multiple different consoles including backwards compatible games. The prices are reasonable and trading in games is variable because they have to be good condition and still playable obviously it cant be something like Titanfall thats old and completely online. Also the staff are pretty helpful and willing to answer any questions you have and will actually carryon casual conversations.

Not quite sure why I previously gave a 4 star review before, but I love this shop and their games selection. The movies they sell are also quite a nostalgic rush.

Its been awhile since Ive come here but I can assure you the owner is one of the nicest and honest people in the gaming business. Ive been a loyal customer since they were working out of a thrift shop. Would definitely recommend.

Store was absolutely fantastic. Customer service was superb and they had great prices across the board. So many different types of games I got lost in looking for awhile. They even helped me find the cords I needed for my old system I was missing. Highly recommend from one gamer to another.

Whatever issues this place may have, the fact that it is the only retro game store in the area makes up for it. The staff is always friendly, and the store is neat and somewhat organized. I hope this place can stay open for a long time.

Called every day for months looking for a Nintendo 64 and they had none. Finally one week they did! I was told they could hold it for 24hrs. I said I’d be there as soon as they opened the next day because I was off. I get there the next day (right after opening) and they sold it to someone else. So much for 24 hours.

I was so cool seeing all the old games that were out when I was a kid. I am not a gamer by any means but I took my nephew in and we spoke to the owner and he seemed knowledgeable and friendly. My nephew enjoyed his visit.

This is by far the best used game store in our area. I have been buying games, systems, controllers, etc. from these guys for a few years now. They are all very eager to help their customers and go above and beyond to find those rare titles you may be looking for. They treat you like people not just another customer. Prices are definitely reasonable. And through my experience if you dont like the price and respectfully discuss it they actually can justify why things cost what they do. These guys know their stuff and are passionate about what they do. If they cant beat a price they dont shy away from telling you where you can get it. They even allow you to try out games before purchasing them. You cant beat that service. I just wish they had more locations.

Retro Game Planet is a fun visit to the past. Ive been here so many times and everytime have found something interesting and worth the value. I love to play gamecube games, but often have trouble finding games at decent prices. Couldnt recommend this store more. If you are looking for something retro, try this place and Im sure youll find something you like.

Great selection of games, systems, and accessories, ranging all the way back to the Atari 2600 to the current gen of systems. Also features some of the best prices on these used retro games you can get. The staff is very welcoming, and the owner of the store, is a wonderful person; furthermore, him and his staff constantly improve the store. It gets nicer every time I pay a visit. I definitely recommend if you are nearby to check em out!

Great place to go, ONLY, if the owner is there. Sadly some of the guys who work there attempt to get over on, not realizing that anyone can use pricecharting.com. Not a good look to offer someone $40 for something is worth $200! Not the first time it happen. This isnt a reflection on you Russ, you are always great! I would highly recommend coming to this store for old games and nostalgia. The owner and staff has always been very knowledgeable amongst the games they sale and any questions you may have. If youre looking for a steal of a deal or s place to cut a deal this would be it.

Had exactly what I was looking for (you see I had lost my PS2 at a young age and I have always wanted it back) a fat PS2! Its also by bama lanes which is useful if youre going to a friends party and have no gift. Its Pretty pricey tho.

We have been using Retro Game Planet for years. They have always been great and take the time to work with my family. They have encouraged the love of gaming in my children and always go out of their way to ensure that we are taken care of. I have gotten multiple systems from here with no problems and the prices are extemely reasonable.

I love the gaming environment & how the staff made me feel very welcomed. The only problem I have is one of their staff members, name will not be mentioned, has been very rude & disrespectful toward my wife my stepbrother & myself every time we have been there. Other than this one employee, this is a wonderful place to go & bring back many childhood memories.

I’ve shopped here a couple times over the past year. They had a decent selection the first couple times but it has since dwindled. I’ve been in the store on more than one occasion and listened to the employees run their mouths about customers who call the store looking for specific items. The employees stand outside and smoke during their downtime so you have to walk through their smoke to enter the store. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you can.

I have been going here for i think around 4 years and i love this place i bought a psp the other day. I love this place. In my opinion they offer better deals then GameStop!

They have a great selection and are always ready to help, however I turned in 35ish games and only got $40. It’s not too horrible considering it was mostly old PS2 and Wii games. But while one of the guys was checking my games, someone called and afterwards, they were talking about the guy behind his back and just not being nice. Still an overall good store, just maybe some new employees will do the trick.

The guys are very courteous and informative! Kids and I enjoy our trips there.

The employee gave me an attitude and he had to go on an app that gamestop created to tell me what the prices were. I drove a couple of cities down because I thought they would be fair. Around 22 games and he told me $26. Um no, those games arent made anymore. Dont waste your time here, go get scammed by gamestop instead. This rude service and lack of knowledge shouldnt be funded.

I love this store because it offers something different than anywhere else around. It offers customers a sense of nostalgia when they enter into the store by taking them back to childhood memories of playing Atari, Sega Genesis, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, etc.
