Bob and Michelle are outstanding in customer service I’ve known them for a very long time and bought a guitar On Saturday. Even though as I was walking up they were closing they re-open for me so I could get a guitar. I had drove up from the valley specifically to buy a guitar from them. I have no complaints I’ve never had a complaint as long as I’ve known them over 20+ years. If you or anyone who’s looking for a musical instrument these are the guys that you should go to. Absolutely 100% customer service. Bob is very knowledgeable and Michelle is as well. Thank you again guys for going above and beyond. I truly appreciate it.

I sold a guitar on eBay and needed a box for shipping. Although they were busy, he went to the back room and found one that would work. When I drove up, hed set the box outside for me. I went in and tried to pay him for the box, but he refused to take my money. Ive sold several guitars before and always had to buy a box from a dealer or shipper, ranging from $10-$30. Outstanding customer service. You just made a long term client. Thanks!

Everyone there was very friendly and willing to help. It was very inviting and has an amazing selection of instruments. The prices were great if not extra low. I would definitely recommend this place. Please stop by if you havent, whether you play an instrument or not.

Great little place, hours were correct and was greeted with a smile and helpful directions to what i was looking for.

My fiance needed to go to the music store on his lunch break and pick up some guitar strings along with a capo... he called them while he was at work to find out how long that they were going to be open and they stayed open long enough for him to pick up the items that he needed on his lunch break. :). Have been going there for a little over a year. As a beginner I was having trouble deciding on which guitar I wanted. I was in their weekly if not more often taking up their time they were always very friendly and helpful finally I ordered the guitar I wanted this year. Once I had it on order the virus hit. Places started closing and I figured I wouldnt see the guitar for awhile, but Bob made the calls he needed to ensure I received it. Now with the stay at home here at least I have something to keep me occupied. Thanks to all the staff at POPS!!

Love that place highly recommend bringing your instrument in for service. I brought my classic guitar in for a tune-up. They did such a good job when I got it home I couldnt put it down, played for hours.

Went in to get my old guitar restrung, they had it restrung and adjusted while I waited. The entire store is an odd layout but feels welcoming. Theres plenty of equipment and accessories for any type of musician! They even have a small collection of vinyl in the back if you fancy some records.

Great, genuinely friendly and knowledgeable people. Made me a GREAT deal on my Greta amp! Cant believe I waited this long to go in there, but SO glad I did, I have my ideal camping amplifier! You guys are great, and theres a very quiet pup behind the counter, too! Wonderful! Thanks again for the deal!!

I have been going here and buying instruments and peripherals here since I was 13. Bob and the gang are like family. Extremely honest and fair to the the point that if you have a bad experience you’re the problem. They’ll tell you how it is and won’t lead you astray. Great prices on instruments and they always have a range of quality to choose from for any level. I have on more than one occasion picked up and instrument just to try and walked out with it. Spend locally here and get a quality instrument from folks that will treat you right and give back locally. They match or beat online prices. They also only buy and stock manufacturers that are making quality instruments. The level of experience that has been in this shop has been unmatched anywhere near them.

Excellent Mom/Pop music shop. Staff are knowledgeable and straight up fair. If they dont have something they work with you to find what you are looking for or needing. Bob is honest and refers you out to another store if he feels it would be better for the customer, even though he could make the sale himself. Totally recommend this store!

This is an instrument store more than a sheet music store. I went in looking for piano music and found plenty of guitars but not very much sheet music.3 stars only reflect my disappointment in not having sheet music at a music store, they may do well at selling instruments.Music stores should sell music.

Every time I go in here the employees make me feel like Im bothering them by coming in the store. Maybe its because I only buy school requested music books, am not a musician and dont spend money on music lessons. Who knows, but I try to get my stuff else where when every I can.I will say this they do have lots of stuff and always have the books I need in stock so thats a big plus and does keep me coming back.

Kyle was by himself today and the shop was somewhat busy. Inspite of that he was polite and helpful. I highly recommend P.O.P.S.for all your music related needs.

Fantastic place! They have a really great selection and prices for the small town atmosphere and service you get. I recently bought a guitar from Pops and it had a slight flaw in it, needless to say they had me out the door and happy as a clam that day. I would highly recommend Pops to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Wow! I went in for a mic cord transformer and he told me it was about 28 bucks and he had nothing cheaper at this time. I told him I didnt want to spend that much cause it was for one song at a memorial service in Tucson. This fine gentleman told me to take it and bring it back when I was done. I offered to rent it from him but he refused to take any money. You tell me, where the hell does this ever happen anymore in business. Pops is the best!!

Pops rocks!!! I have bought guitars, strings and cables from there. It doesnt matter if your buying a 1500 dollar guitar or just grabbing some picks ( 3 for a buck btw) they treat you with respect. Plus they are super knowledgeable. Keep up the great work guys!!!

Delightful little old music store that I never knew about until my dad needed his harmonica tuned up last week. They seem to have everything. I wish Id known of it years ago.

I have been coming in to POPS Music for years and my experiences with the owners Bob & Michelle has been outstanding. They know what they are talking about (Bob is a long time pro musician), have years of experience in the musical instrument business, and always treat their customers with respect and care. I have seen this over and over and their prices are competitive with anyone out there including internet sites. However, I would even pay a bit more money for an item from POPS just to have great people (Bob & Michelle) to come back to for their expert help and advice. If you want a name brand new or used piano, digital piano, keyboard, every kind of guitar and stringed instrument, amps, and all sorts of very cool accessories (too many to mention) then do what I have done for years, dont buy anything until you go into POPS Music Store and check it out. They also do guitar and instrument repairs and rentals because I have seen their techs working on guitars while I was there many times. This store is NOT the slick Guitar Center looking stores with nice visuals but with few (if any) people who know what they are doing and cannot answer your questions. This store is old school, comfortable, lots of music gear to see and play, and most importantly run by good people (their entire staff) who are incredibly knowledgeable and will take care of you and treat you like family as they do for me and my wife when we go in. I have been to a lot of music stores during my pro music career, but there is no music store in Yavapai County (or even Maricopa County) which comes close to POPS in my opinion.

Im with the rest of the reviewers, EXCEPT the absolute moron who gave a low rating simply because they dont stay open as long as he thinks they should. Considering Bobs outstanding friendliness and eagerness to help get you anything you want at very competitive prices, I find it disgusting that someone would intentionally drop their overall rating over terms made very clear upfront (business hours). Everyone in town knows how great these guys are - top notch in every possible way.For those not familiar with Pops, first-time visitors should know that most of their merchandise is not visible from the front when you walk in. The front is more like an office cleverly decorated with display items, and the store owner himself sitting right there to answer questions. They never try to sell you anything or bump up your choice to something more expensive. When it comes to spending money, they let YOU come to THEM which makes being in their store a very comfortable experience with zero pressure.Most of their merchandise is in small rooms off a long hallway - and because of the way the front is laid out, its easy to think you have to ask permission to look around. But the hallway is indeed a thoroughfare, and the only remaining concern is that the layout is reminiscent of rows of doctors offices - and you forgot to write down the time of your appointment for that root canal :-)

What an amazing music store this is. I am so glad that we brought my boyfriends Martin D 18 Acoustic in to pops today . As soon as we walked in we were greeted and in seconds we were comfortable . We were having some strings put on it today and the guitar Tech Kyle not only strung the guitar he took time to wipe it down with this guitar cleaner for acoustics called Dunlop 65 . Those who own high end guitar KNOWS people can be rather choosy on what goes on our guitars lol . But today when we met Kyle, you just knew our guitar was in good hands. . The tools they use for stringing the guitar blew my mind and within mins he had that guitar looking almost new and its a 1973 . I cant thank this place enough and I will never take my guitar anywhere else. The owner of this place is so awesome also and the other guy who works there, he was also awesome to us. For a minute I thought ok this place is to good to be true so I began asking questions and Kyle answered them with the knowledge he has on guitars and I was like yepppp this is my kind of people . Thank u so much u guys at pops I will be bringing my 12 stri ng there and referring my many musician friends your way.
