Dennis is not getting enough Love here for being a great tour guide. My Wife and I met Dennis at the annual, Too Broke for Sturgis motorcycle event, held annually at Mormon Lake, Arizona in June. He offered to take us on a tour locally and we happily accepted.Very early on, Dennis sensed that I didnt have the all experience that he has on motorcycles and he conducted the tour at a comfortable pace for us without any heckling, and a good measure of patience. If we fell back a little, it wasnt too long before we caught up again to find Dennis merrily putting along, taking his time. It appeared that Dennis was enjoying the ride as much as we were.We were led on a very nice tour though Slide Rock State Park, Jerome, Prescott, and, then a good spirited romp back to Mormon Lake. Breaks were very well timed and not too frequent to interrupt the flow of the tour. Each break was accompanied with either a good meal, or, just a little time out of the saddle accompanied by interesting details about where we were. Those details obviously provided by someone who was very familiar with the State of Arizona and many of the locals.Im only guessing here, but, I think we covered about 230 miles in about 6 hours or so.Perhaps the best part of the tour was afterwards. Dennis was able to sit with for us for a bit and re-live the best parts of the day, (there were many).So, I guess the point of all this might be, if/when we go to Arizona again, we would like to do it again!
