Lovely little cafe right across from the train station. There’s a bright, cheery atmosphere about this place and the staff really exemplify that. Very friendly and personable in my experience. I just happened to stop in and grab a chai latte (which was fantastic), but the prepared food items in the cooler and the sandwiches on the menu looked delicious. The presentation of the dishes is superb, definitely focuses on that more than most cafes I’ve been to. The prices aren’t cheap, especially for some of the food items, but they’re not that far out of line with what you’ll find elsewhere downtown. Looking forward to coming back and exploring their menu!
I had a cappuccino and the avocado smash with an egg on a gluten free bagel. It did take longer to get - in fact after others in my party finished their sandwich - but it was absolutely delicious and worth it to feel safe eating. The gf bagel was perfect! They have large portions and everyone enjoyed their meal. I have celiac disease and appreciated the staff making a note on the order to be as careful as possible when handling, which is likely why it took longer.
The cafe atmosphere is positive and the staff are friendly. However, every time I go into order, I feel regret buying from this cafe cause the last few times I have ordered at this cafe something were to happen that I would need to ask for a refund on an item. Today I ordered a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese on it (as I didn’t have time to put it on as I needed to catch bus a minute later which). That didn’t happen and the bagel was at the lowest level of being toasted where it’s not even really toasted. I want to give this cafe another chance but I have already given multiple chances with nothing changing…
Very cute coffee shop near Marriott hotels. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious.
The first thing that hit me when I entered was how clean the place was, next was the kindness of the staff. I got coffee and it was delicious, best bean water Ive had to date.
Cute Cafe, about the same prices and food as a Starbucks - nothing really stood out to me. Doesnt appear to have a restroom for customers. Appears to be handicap accessible.
Went here for breakfast. Got a chai latte and the avocado smash. The chai was nicely done and the avocado smash was superb ! I will definitely return if Im ever in Providence again.
Lovely looking Cafe, good coffee and a nice experience...Parking was tricky, beyond that Id go back!
Sydney is not a place to go for a cheap cup of coffee, but is a terrific and unique visit for anyone near downtown Providence.Expect to be able to find both espresso and coffee staples as well as a couple of imaginative and well-crafted seasonable beverages. The fact that they serve locally-made kombucha is a nice side-benefit, as well. Despite the coffee shop aesthetic, Sydney boasts (a limited selection of) food of surprising quality and detail. The breakfast sandwiches, bowls, and roasts are all filling and delicious, and their rotating sandwiches and salads make for convenient grab-and-go lunch options. One last tip: try the macarons (after allowing them to warm to room temperature)
Quite place to study ; I prefer the hot beverages and breakfast sandwiches are good
Since we were for half of the day in Providence and based on my research on google and yelp, this place had the best reviews. So we decided to give a try, we like breakfast food with nice presentation and Sydney has it! Clean, bright place with friendly staff. Pricey? Yes... but I guess that what you nowadays for a good taste. I got avocado toast with salmon, $12.95, tea or coffee no matter what size $3.75
Sydney Providence seriously has the best dark chocolate mocha I’ve ever had. I was so excited that they had coconut milk as an option for us non-dairy coffee lovers. The decor was very inviting and the staff was friendly and efficient. We visited mid-afternoon and there were plenty of places to sit and relax to get away from the cold weather. I also appreciate that they have self-serve water because I always want a little something to drink after my espresso beverage.
Bold breakfast sandwich was airplane food. Terrible breakfast sandwich for $9+...
Nice place, good food and different choices
Fast, friendly, and clean. My flat white was tasty and a lifesaver after an unsurprisingly awful cup of hotel coffee
Loved the illy iced coffee!
Seasonal drinks are amazing (try the Blueberry Oat Milk Cold Brew!) and food is fresh made. Staff was very welcoming and helpful as well. Sandwiches take a little long to make but more than make up for it in flavor and freshness. Plus, Im pretty sure you can order in advance if thats an issue. Awesome breakfast!
My new favourite breakfast place - the avocado smash and the brekkie bowl are to die for! Love their cappuccino as well. The ambience is neat - both in terms of decor and comfort. The hosts are absolutely delightful - super hospitable. Overall, a must go if you’re in the neighborhood. One thing to note though - their brekkie bowl is only available for breakfast (11.30 on weekdays and 2pm on weekends). Also, if available, try it their freshly squeezed juices.

Cute place! I needed to pick something up from the mall and stopped here to have some breakfast before shopping.I had a cafe au lait and a breakfast sandwich. Both were good! It also had cute decor. I would just recommend that the seating be arranged differently. If you sit at the counter you can get boxed in by the tables.
Both the savory and the sweet ricotta toasts were on point, the bagel on the other hand was stale. Maybe an off day. Service was friendly. Definitely stop by for breakfast a notch above.
Very pretty and bright place. Just had the avocado smash which hit the spot. The staff were very pleasant.
I LOVED their cappuccino with oat milk! And the avocado toast was surprisingly stellar! Fresh toppings (+ sprouts which I love!) and very tasty/flavorful!
Cute place, nice people. Decent coffee. Whenever I have the option, I will choose a local coffee place over the other places. If you are local or in the area, you need to check out Sydneys.
Nice airy and light space. Limited menu which is not necessarily a bad thing, but best to take a look before you go there if you are after a full breakfast. Coffee (espresso) was nice, not great not terrible.
Friendly and Good vibes best avocado toast i ever had
What a wonderful café! I came here several times during my week-long stay in Providence for a conference and was totally pleased every time. I stayed for a croissant breakfast sandwich one morning and loved it, to the point that Im sad I didnt get a chance to try other options, but the coffee always hit the spot. The vibe inside is great; I love all the feather art. Sydney Providence is definitely worth popping into if youre nearby.
Great little cafe in the downtown area of Providence. Loved the fact that they had an Australian flair to their coffee and breakfast items, service was quick and friendly, and their space was very minimal yet comfortable. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Must return to taste the macarons. A definite must-try for anyone looking for a quick bite or sweet treat in Prov, especially if you have a wheat allergy like me! Delightful gluten free options. A bright and creative atmosphere for sure.
Had a delicious lunch consisting of a fantastic avacado smash with smoked salmon, matcha latte and warm, freshly baked treats. The space is peaceful and comfy. Only problem was that I did not find anything particularly Australian on the menu.
Reliable cafe with awesome lunch sandwiches and a great ceasar salad. Portions are large for the price. Coffee is strong and not burned... iced coffee is excellent, I like it better than their cold brew. Super friendly and laid back.
Very fresh ingredients. Adoption of many eco friendly approaches (very little use of plastic). Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, convenient location.
Really happy place with lovely staff. Good ambience, clean, bright, outlet access, decent amount for seating. Be warned that breakfast is not all day - but good coffee and the lunch sandwiches are all day so enjoy!
Food was fresh and tasted delicious. A nice little cafe near to the train station.
Great place. Everything from the atmosphere to the menu to the quality of the product and service is phenomenal. A nice little place to get coffee and even lunch especially if youre trying to do work because this place has a good vibe for that.
Had an amazing turkey sandwich, but coffee was terrible - hot and burnt, and the service wasn’t friendly (a common experience as an outsider in America though). If you’re after the “Australian cafe” experience, this is not your place. The Aussie “vibe” extends about as far as the name and the fact that flat white is on the menu, beyond that it’s like calling Dominos an Italian restaurant.
Delicious coffee and toasts. I love sydney❤❤❤
Been visiting Sydney about once or twice a week for a long time. They have the best matcha drinks (Matcha Mondays!) and delicious pastries and sweets. The salted chocolate cookies are a favorite among our group. Beautiful cafe, good location and friendly service.
The service was pleasant and quick. The breakfast was tasty. My wife and I especially liked the large cups of coffee!
Great place for a casual breakfast. The spring seasonal Matcha was delicious. The avocado toast had an amazing presentation. A bit disappointed with the eggs Benedict tough.
I had some time to kill at Providence station and was delighted to across this Aussie inspired cafe! The staff were friendly and efficient and the vegan breakfast cookie was delicious! The coffee...was very, very good!
I enjoy the avocado toast and the Hippy Juice with a pastry on the side. The employees are friendly and take accurate orders. I dont wait to long for service.
We had the dragonfruit latte, flat white, and latte. The drinks were exquisitely crafted with top notch ingredients. The dragonfruit latte was particularly unique. The setting is clean and bright and gorgeous - very nice ambiance! Would have loved to try pastries but we were full from lunch. This would be a nice spot to work or relax with a cup of coffee! The gals working there are also very nice and pleasant.
Small but good! We were looking around for coffee and were delighted to come across this shop!
The wifi here is pretty useful! The coffee is really strong (in caffeine, not bitterness), and the pastries are tasty! The prices are pretty average, and there is a single toilet. There is also a water dispenser. Even when off the school year there seem to be a high concentration of college looking people inside.
Quaint little spot. Not much variety if youre looking for a lot of choices, but the food was fresh with decent flavor. Great mochas and chai.
Lovely is a good description of Sydney. The coffee and food match the decor with the same descriptor. A great place to sit and chat for a bit. Ive been here to get some work done before, but Ive never been when there were just as many laptops as people so you dont have to have quiet and huddled conversations for fear of being rude.
Sydney is an austetic, beautiful place, with great customer service, and great food, you are sure to enjoy your time and money. Plus their chocolate croissants are DELICIOUS
Delicious drinks and foods, super super accommodating of specific food requests and diets!
Delicious strong coffee and lots of choices. Food looked good too.
Had great employees and great food. Not your typical breakfast fare, but was delicious. It was a great little cafe and we loved it.
Awesome seating for doing some work while you eat! Great food but menu could use a few more options.
We went there for a quick brunch. Its a nice cafe style, a good place for a coffee and a pastry. Its kind of pricey. We ordered a turkey sandwich & a small cup of tomatoe soup that wasnt really hot at all.
Cute cafe. Nice breakfast options. 4 stars because it is pricy in my opinion also when I went they ran of stuff so I was unable to get what I truly wanted (a smoothie!) also because they are trying to be trendy they only carry expensive bottled water... Other than that I would try it again maybe on a weekday.
Sydney Prov is fabulous!! Great experience each time Ive been. Cat is a superstar!
The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast sandwich was the absolutely best. The place is super cute, it felt like I was eating in with friends.
Good place for a quick breakfast! Very close to train station.
Amazing avocado toast. Solid coffee. Open and airy. I was able to sit and work for a few hours.
Cute spot. Nice coffee and macaroons!
Id loved to stay there bc inside is very clean, fancy and looked to be comfortable but I didnt have time... Menu looked so yammy I couldnt decide soon! I ordered Vietnam coffee was sorry... such a fake. Not Vietnam one at all. I love it and was excited so ordered big size one... Just was waste of money...I wanna try another menu if I have chance to visit again
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Get the avocado smash toast
Beautiful Australian themed cafe, as a formed Sydney Sider, I just hoped to hear an Aussie accent behind the counter - nothing is more Australian than the way we speak... But cant be disappointed, coffee very good, not amazing but all in all, food was great, ambiance gets top marks.
Had a decaf latte; ok, a lemon Danish: this was very good, very light sweetness, but strong lemon rind flavor, and the prosciutto scone, which had no flavor other than salt.
Great cafe featuring a creative, delicious, healthy menu, including premium yet affordable coffee, gluten free items, panini sandwiches, and other innovative fare made with fresh, local ingredients.
Got a salmon avocado toast and the salmon wasn’t fresh the avocado had no seasoning whatsoever. They just simply mashed the avocado and placed it on the toast.
Great place to go for a light breakfast or lunch in a great atmosphere to get work done or meet up with friends
The staff was very friendly. The barista recommended the Vietnamese Iced coffee after very kindly explaining what it was. It was in fact delicious, as was the craisin oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. The food and staff were wonderful, as were the prices. I highly recommend coming in to grab a quick coffee, chat with a friend, or to stay and do work, as there is plenty of brightly lit space. Will definitely be coming back!
You are paying for aesthetics. The food is overpriced, albeit nicely displayed. The salmon platter I had contained little salmon, and the salmon itself was not very fresh smelling/tasting. The coffee taste very water down.
It was so good. The service was great! I recommend the turkey sandwich and the machta latte with almond milk
Looked really cute. Would have been nice to try but they were out of food?!?! 10:00 am and out of food for breakfast?!?!
Breakfast joint, good but need more selection needed
Room for improvement. Came in hopes of finding a genuine “flat white” and taste of home experience.Flat white needs to be stronger. So I was disappointed in that sense.
Great breakfast in a nice space. Solid choice for coffee lovers.
Great cafe. Love the toast options!
For a healthy start in the day there is nothing better than a tasty breakfast 😁☯️
Really good croissant and good coffee.
Great coffee. I had blueberry bread pudding it was delicious a little pricey but worth it.
Great selection even though I came later morning on a Sunday. Parking is a bit of a nightmare though, only a handful of spots nearby.
