The store is located below ground level. The shopkeep said they have elevator access inside the main building, but the main building locks its doors so this makes going to this store overly difficult for those with physical disabilities. The store also has objects and parcels everywhere making navigating rather difficult once within. While the store has some division of products theyre not truly organized and the majority dont have clearly marked prices.My biggest concern is how indistinguishable the employee is from clients. Several players were battling their miniature armies and the employee was working on a laptop. Honestly, the only reason I was aware he worked there is him approaching us to talk. A lesser concern for me is the lax use of masks by employees and clients. I prefer to assume vaccinations were prevalent, but I didnt feel particularly comfortable in the presence of anyone given the stress of continuing COVID diagnoses.I havent decided yet if I will return. The difficulty for me gaining access, the clutter, and the lack of clear pricing seriously puts me off. Im giving the store the benefit of the doubt for now. 19.10.2021

Alpha Omega Hobby in Quincy, MA- south of Boston- is one of the finest game/ hobby stores I have encountered. My husband, Chris, and I have visited game/hobby shops in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and found Alpha Omega has one of the greatest selections of board games, models, paints and accessories for all your board game needs. Jason, the store manager, was very helpful, honest and thorough in assisting me with games that we might be interested in. A wonderfully spacious place, the shop itself is a museum and game room with multiple tables to play the games you bring or to try out the many sample games available. Go visit, if you get the chance. Really amazing place.

I was thoroughly impressed by their customer service. An error had occurred with an order I placed online. The owner called me personally when I had a question about it. When he discovered that the book I had wanted had been misplaced and he no longer had a copy, he went out of his way to secure a copy to send to me. I have shopped at many stores over my life, and I have never been more impressed with that level of customer service. The owner was genuinely concerned with my satisfaction, and through him I was finally able to get my hands on a book that was unavailable literally everywhere else I looked. Truly, if you are looking for a hobby shop, this is the place to go or order from!!!!

Absolutely great place to walk into with someone new to tabletop games. Not only do they carry great tools for GMs but are willing to order anything else you may like. The staff was so friendly and welcoming to first time visitors. My friend that was with me had so many questions about dice, systems, and games in general and they were amazing at answering. Walked in to pick up a battle mat I had ordered online and walked out with some gorgeous dice (that had little turtles inside) and knowing that I would be back.

This place is beautiful. The decor sets the perfect for playing RPGs with friends. There is a section for my favorite RPG D&D. They also have Warhammer, Digimon, Magic. Alpha Omega Hobby has areas set throughout to enable groups of people to get together and play RPGs.

Super cool place! Massive selections of board games, ttrpgs, and card games, as well as accessories like dice, notebooks, card sleeves, miniatures, ect. Pretty much everything youd ever need. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, they always check if you need help looking but never in an annoying please buy something kind of way.They have like, a dozen or more tables set up for playing said games; even if you have no friends yourself, chances are good you can find people to play with! Its also a great spot to just hang out at, they sell some basic snacks like candy and drinks, its a good time.

I came in looking to get more acquainted with more elaborate board games. I felt no pressure to get any game and the team really spent their time making sure I made the right decision. I had a really really positive experience here for someone just starting out.

I have been coming here sincequarentine started and there is always great service. Normally I went there for D&D supplies but I recently got into MTG and I can here to get some card protectors and while I was checking out the cashier asked what color I liked in MTG and I said white so he pulled out a white starter deck and gave it to me free of charge. Really great service and friendly atmosphere. Very knowledgable and great prices. Would highly recommend!

Jake is a cool guy and probably the only owner that has any sense of decorum, I spent over 1500$ here on a few sets and they wouldn’t even let me crack my packs in store. I also came in last month and had a discount coupon that I wasn’t allowed to use on cards in store inside of their display case, was blatantly told, “ yea sorry you can’t use credit on them”. Yet I was about to use my credit on a collectors pack and that was fine ? I understand businesses struggle, but the other 2 owners of this shop just make it unwelcoming, and they don’t update their page for what they actually have in inventory.

Great service, large space, friendly staff, large game selection

Ordered some mini packs online that took a bit to arrive from the manufacturer. Staff sent out emails to keep customers informed and the items shipped as soon as they arrived. Sadly, the Post Office dropped the ball and sat on the package for an extra week. A message to Ben was answered promptly and he assured me that I’d be taken care of no matter what. A complaint to the USPS magically dislodged my package from their distribution center where it had been hiding and it was delivered the next day. Excellent customer service and excellent communication from Alpha Omega!

Have been buying games here since they opened. The staff has always been helpful with me and my son picking out games, explaining which ones would be best for us based on what we like. The tables you can play on are fantastic and we have always been welcomed in to sit and play a game. Can’t recommend this place enough. I never played hobby games, but was always interested. When I came into the shop for the first time the Folks who run the shop made me feel very comfortable and they were very open to teaching me how to play. The community as a whole is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. I feel like you don’t find small business’s like this anymore. Great genuine people, very inclusive culture, and a very large selection of warhammer miniatures.

Excellent customer service.Let me paint a picture: its raining, its cold, its May 2020 and were in the middle of a pandemic. I decide I want to purchase a board game and start perusing local game and hobby shops when I virtually stumble across this gem. Huge selection with great prices (and one of the only stores in the area Ive seen where one can purchase Shadowrun paraphernalia- excellent bonus!). Also, their staff photo on the website is adorable. I would be on the red line en route if times were normal.I order my game and go back to work, assuming that itll appear sometime next week.THREE HOURS LATER... I get a mysterious phone call. Its the store (owner, I believe). Theyre going to be at my house in five minutes. With my game.Cant believe this happened. Extremely excited to actually patronize this place in person when things are back to normal.

Best hobby shop I’ve been to in New England and I’ve been to a number. Clean, well staffed, and well stocked. Great selection of games workshop products, card games, and board games.Staff are super knowledgeable and excited about what they sell. The community has been super welcoming and their social media has been great to coordinate a game.

Every time I stop by, the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. Today, I brought two of my closest friends in with me, hoping to persuade them make the commute down to the store every once in a while. With a staff members help, I accomplished this goal. I cant recommend Alpha Omega Hobby enough, and even though there are hobby shops that are more convenient I will typically go the extra mile to come here.

My go-to hobby shop. Since I moved to the area about a year ago, Ive loved AO and claimed it as my near-daily haunt. The staff and customers have been not only accepting but inviting and between game nights on Wednesday, D&D on Saturday, and painting on Sunday, I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else.

This shop in the heart of Quincy center is wonderful. Tons of games for all types of gamers. If you like board games they have a huge collection of things you have never even heard of. Lots of wargaming stuff. Paint and hobby supplies from many brands and they are always willing to special order you anything as fast as the suppliers can get it.Very welcoming and open community for all games and players.Tons of open tables to play games at. And their board game library in the back is quite impressive as well.Best part is it’s all free to play there. No pay bay per event or anything like that.I am there as often as I can be playing with friends I have made in the comunityJust go to there and see you won’t be disappointed

Guy started following me around store as soon as I entered, actually left a paying customer in the middle of a transaction behind to do it. Didn’t feel welcomed at all, experience probably varies by your race.

Some of the most friendly staff in a gaming store Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting! The store is clean and well stocked with board games, Warhammer and table top games and of course Magic the Gathering and other collectible card games. Its a very welcoming environment especially for new Magic The Gathering players on the Friday Night Magic events. I highly recommend stopping in if you need a game store.

Alpha Omega Hobby is a store I discovered because of a wargaming hobby of mine. I was always hesitant to drive to Quincy from where I live because it was so far out of the way. I was eventually peer pressured into going to meet up with some of the guys from the wargaming group. To say I regret nothing would be a lie, I regret not having gone sooner. AO is a wonderful store with a great staff and an incredible amount of gaming space to make a guy feel right at home.Their selection of gaming material and hobby supplies is astonishing and for the most part, if you cannot find it somewhere on the wall, they can order it for you.I truly enjoy going to this store, they really make me feel welcome and appreciated.

Ive been going to AO for nearly a year now and I love this place. The staff are friendly and VERY knowledgeable about just about everything in the store. Its really more of a community center that happens to sell games. Plus their new location (right next door to the old location) is much bigger and now they have space for lots more inventory and gaming space.

Alpha Omega is far and away my favorite shop in the Boston area. Its always very clean, well lit, and has quite a bit of playing space even during big events. The staff is super friendly and willing to help with whatever youre interested in to make sure you leave the store happy. Another thing that sets AO apart is the inventory - these guys play everything they sell, so they know what gamers want. The Age of Sigmar and 40k inventory is particularly impressive; lots of hard-to-find products and deep selection.

My experience was not only unique, but also beyond incredible. Ben was basically dealing with a monster (referring to me) as I was trying to acquire a discontinued GW warhammer 40k piece that only his store had in stock. I live out of state and while stuck in hospital due to a motorcycle wreck, I couldnt be present at my address to confirm whether or not my packages were ever delivered to right address.There was a hiccup in shipping and with everything I was dealing with, I just flipped out and Ben, at 9:35pm PST (my timezone) immediately jumped on the situation and provided me with his plan as to how to rectify it and literally within less than 12 hours he had already done so much research and provided me with all the tools and confirmation I needed to confirm the location of my shipment which gave me not only instant relief but also an overwhelming elation of joy and gratitude since I felt like he actually cared and even from many states away, he made me feel as if he was right there with me throughout all of this..And for just a mere discontinued character.. one little piece.. clearly the value of satisfaction and happiness from his customers means more to him than the profit margins. So no matter the size of purchase, I am 100% confident thst this man, and this business will treat you more like a family member, and less like a number. No doubt Covid-19 has made things difficult for everyone; but i couldnt even tell with Ben because he stepped up and went full throttle with helping me when others would have either not cared as much or would have already felt so overhwlemed with everything else that they wouldnt have the energy or efforts to help me.. but Ben is clearly a rare breed and I wholeheartedly look forward to purchasing more from this store, and waiting for them to arrive by mail, instead of going to any number of neighboring hobby stores or GW stores in my area because this is a business worth investing in.. this is the kind of customer service that not only deserves to be acknowledged, but is worth fighting for and striving to keep around. If you have doubts, fair, but i urge you to trust in this company because they have what no other store has, and thats Ben.. many stores may have A Ben.. but none of them have THE Ben; and he can only be found at AlphaOmegaHobby!

Super nice people running this place and the selection is also good. I ordered a large kickstarter game through them and one of the owners went out of his way to drop if it of at my house in Somerville one his way into work one day. Can really tell the owners are in this because they love the hobby and want to create a great environment for everyone else.
