On Saturday April 24, 2021 I had by far the very worst experience in a car dealership in my 30+ years of car shopping. I was berated, belittled, and insulted less than one minute into a conversation with Troy, Boucher’s used car manager in Franklin.What makes this particular situation so exceptional is that I have purchased multiple new VWs from this dealership and have four of my current VW vehicles serviced and maintained totaling thousands of dollars per year.Purchasing a used car begins with an offer and respectful negotiation process, neither of which I was afforded. I was a known customer of Boucher and had come with a cashier check in hand to purchase the vehicle (and all intentions to do so), but I walked out of the dealership immediately after Troy’s unprofessional and offensive reaction.I have noticed that there is another recent Google review (3 days ago) of Boucher and Troy in which the customer walked out and purchased a Volkswagen from another dealership. I sincerely hope the management will take this type of behavior into consideration and re-evaluate their business practices.I will not stand for this type of aggressive behavior both personally and professionally and I will address this through not recommending Boucher. Furthermore, I will move my service work to another dealership. I had a good working relationship with Todd and the service team in Racine through the years and would have otherwise looked forward to a continued business relationship, but this situation is unacceptable and unrecoverable.Respectfully,Jeff WPS: I also dont like being told something inaccurate when I was informed any VW dealership will service Audi at a discount. When I phoned your service manager in Racine he said whoever told you that was lying as they lack the tools and training to do so... to which I responded your used car manager told me that. After searching online for several days at dealerships across the country, I purchased a difficult-to-find new white with beige interior 2019 VW Golf Alltrack wagon from Frank Boucher in Racine, WI. My fiancé and I flew from Columbus, OH to Milwaukee and our salesman, Scott Moore, picked us up at the airport and drove us to the dealership. Scott could not have been more friendly and straightforward. We received great customer service from beginning to end from Scott and his colleagues. I highly recommend with no reservations.

Zoom forward to 2020, when a major power train component failed, under warranty. I called the Racine maintenance department and was told there was nothing they could do to help. The repairs I would need to make would cost well over $3000 out of pocket.Luckily, I called The Franklin, WI Boucher location where the maintenance department (David) informed me that the Racine location was mistaken. Franklin Boucher completed the major repair, with no cost to me what-so-ever, and were professional and courteous throughout.Either the Racine department was unaware of how their own warranty system functions, or they were attempting to take advantage of their customer to the tune of several thousand dollars. Ill let you form your own conclusion. Either eventuality exhibits an alarming problem within this department.When purchasing a car, many people are wary that the dealership will take advantage of them. Very upset with this car dealership and Cody- finance, in particular. My son in May 2020 bought a Volkswagen golf that came with a two-year certified pre-owned warranty through Volkswagen bc the previous owner was a hellacious smoker. The two-year certified warranty was the incentive for buying that particular car. My son expressed how he did not want an additional warranty bc of the certified pre-owned warranty. Btw, Cody kept him in there for over six hours to do the paperwork. About a month ago he was wondering why his payment was so much higher than he anticipated. The extended warranty for $3800 was added to his paperwork. Then when he called to see when it was activated it starts the day of purchase alongside his two-year pre-owned certified warranty. Sounds like to me somebody took advantage of a young man. My son has repeatedly called Cody and Cody refers to the paperwork every time. Cody knew damn well he had a two year certified preowned warranty through Volkswagen with that purchase.

I first learned of Frank Boucher through searching for my wife I’s dream car, a VW Touareg. Being from Michigan I had no idea what to expect from this dealership. Our salesperson John Huey was quick to respond when we inquired through Facebook. Knowledgeable and helpful, he guided us through the process of trading in our Passat and arriving at our desired price for a Touareg. When we got there nothing had changed from our agreed upon prices. No hassles or dealings, John and his team quickly but thoroughly got us through the process of owning our new vehicle. I look forward to doing business with them again.

Service department was so kind and helpful. They had cold drinks, coffee, and cookies. The salesman i was trying to talk to seemed more interested in his phone, but what are you going to do? The reason Im giving 5 stars is they offer a shuttle service to take you home. The shuttle driver was amazing. He was funny and very kind. Just a stand up nice man! Tom the shuttle driver is why theres a 5 star rating.

Had a great experience at Boucher VW and with Nicholas S. the internet sales consultant. Nicholas was great to email me with options on models and when we narrowed it down, we came in to purchase. Everything was priced the same when we got in to the dealership. They were busy but got us handled and out the door and stayed open, 30 minutes past close, until we were finished. We ended up purchasing an extended maintenance plan, mostly because of we liked they way they took care of their customers. good cars, good prices and good service hard to do much more than that.

I recently purchased a new Tiguan and am absolutely in love with it. I worked with John Huey and he was incredibly helpful and very friendly. He did a great job - the manager on my second visit was a little less than that and was not quite as pleased in my experience with him. I felt that he tried to speak down to me when I was trying to discuss financing options. We ultimately came to an agreement and I am incredibly happy with my purchase and what we were able to come to but definitely left with a bad feeling from my manager interaction. John was great though and I would go back for maintenance/repair based on that experience and with the gentleman that helped me with the paperwork at the end. All in all a good experience but feel that the manager should try not to speak to everyone as if they were uneducated - doesnt really make customers feel comfortable but the saving grace was the rest of the crew I was able to work with and how things finished up. I still would recommend using them in the future though and plan to use them for maintenance and other repairs.

I came here to look at a 2016 Golf R, mainly intrested because of the CPO 2yr Warranty. I emailed and was paired with John Huey who came out upon my scheduled arrival. Very nice salesman, not pushy, knew I researched the car and being a car enthusiast knew what I wanted to just watched. I reccomend John definitely for future visits for anyone! He definitely deserves it.Now the General Manager I met that assisted with swapping my wheels from my current GTI over due to the R having curb rash and a nail in the tire was definitely helpful as well. Currently have a owe you for repairing and repainting the rear bumper due to previous owner damage. Hoping we can get that situated as well some side damage on the door from in the lot (just a quick touch up to prevent rust would be great). Overall another nice gentleman and considers all offers and options.However the bad. First was the techs, on day I was supposed to pick up the car and trade mine in we were going to swap the wheels. Only 10 minutes. 10. I arrived early, and was contacted before saying they cant today. Seriously 10min of overtime? I even offered cash to the tech that did it?! Its literally swapping 4 wheels. Whole wheels not tires...AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE FINANCE MANAGER, that guy was a real hoot. Talk about pushy, and not holding anything back! I was going to bring a Personal Bank check but decided they could get a better rate! (Now I understand credit changes so thats not the issue). But when I wanted to think on the rate even for a half hour or so. He said remarks to push you for the deal and was slightly antagonizing it felt like.And on top of that was inflating the rate. I went and made a call, came back to the office and magically my rate drops without a phonecall? Ive never heard that before... refinancing as I write this...Overall:John Huey was great! Definitely helped out and reccomend him. As well the GM thats assisting with the damages. I will be updating this review down the road.Lastly, bring your own financing. The finance manager I worked with I WOULD NEVER reccomended.**UPDATE:I have been back WAITING for my paint to be touched up with 0 contact back from the dealer as I contacted them multiple times. ALSO, still have yet to see my we owe you check come in that I have documented. At this point send me how much it would cost for touch up so I can be DONE with this dealer. Worst experiance I have ever had.Also, the car WAS clean. Found a leaky coolant hose already... cant wait to take this to a GOOD dealer.

My experience buying a car from Frank Boucher Volkswagen of Racine was less than ideal. I was very excited while searching for a (new to me) used car and felt I had found the one for me at Boucher. I went for a test drive and decided I liked the car enough to discuss further. Eventually I went home to sleep on the decision as there was comparable vehicle nearby that I was also interested in. On the way home I received a call from the used car sales manager, Mike, about the CPO financing rates through Volkswagen I could be eligible for. I went back the following day to inquire about these rates and ultimately decided to start the process of buying this vehicle. After about 2 hours of waiting due to their system being “slow” I was brought to the Kia building to count my down payment, confident I was going to be getting the rate they showed that I qualified for. I was then taken to another room to sign paperwork where I was shown my actual rate (1% higher) and was told I didn’t qualify for the Volkswagen financing due to lack of credit history. While I felt like I had been exposed to a bait and switch, considering I had already given my down payment in an entirely different building, I continued on with process and purchased the vehicle.Driving home with a bad taste in my mouth from what had happened, I discovered the “empty” light went on for my fuel tank when I had been told I would be receiving a full tank. The deal finished after closing so I figured someone just had forgotten to fill it. I gave Mike an opportunity to make up for this by calling him the following Monday. After a few failed attempts, I got a hold of him and he said I would be receiving a gift card in the mail to make up for the lack of fuel. I have tried to follow up about the situation with no returned calls for 2 weeks after his promise. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership after dealing with these issues.

Completely unreasonable and unwilling to work with their customers.Refused to honor a warranty because mileage went over the limit even though the appointment was made while still covered. Due to waiting for an available appointment the mileage exceeded the warranty by 63 miles. We offered to pay for labor if they covered the price of the part. That was refused as well because we didnt have a service history with them, although weve had tires replaced there and had receipts showing scheduled maintenance had been done to the vehicle.We own two Volkswagens and have decided to take our vehicles elsewhere and will not be returning to Frank Boucher Volkswagen of Racine for any future business.

Stay away from these lairsI did call the dealership asked for a salesman, they directed me to Scott Moore, we agreed to a fair price with Scott over the phone around 6-7 pm.I went there next day, test drove the vw atlas and liked the atlas, we walked in the office and I asked him this is my final price ($500 less), he went and talked to his “ smart mouth” manager and came back with a $1000 price increase, forget the $600 discount, he said i am sorry but there was a miscommunication when we talked on the phone a day before, the final price went back to the asking price, sales manager comes out and tells me, you can get a $1000 down if u finance with us.I told him my bank gave me a rate 2.99 for 3 years and 3.29 for 4 years if you can get to these rates we will do it.Manager said apply for a loan here and we will make sure we will be close to that rangeSalesman Scott said it will be 1 soft credit score inquiry. I Called them first thing they open and told me the rate is 3.89 for 3 years term, the $1000 discount will go back towards the higher interest rate he gave me compare to my bank rate, so we went back no negotiations(Waste of time)Today I checked my credit score and we have 5 different credit score inquiries that I approved for ONLY ONE CREDIT PULL..I didn’t approve for 4 other’sI went at dealership talked to Matt at finance( another smart staff member trying to make me feel I don’t know how to calculate interest rates) and tells me that interest rate just got better to 3.6% .. wasted 10-15 minutes with him didn’t resolve anything, That was enough for me I didn’t trust them and I thought if I continue to be talked to these people the deal will just gets worse for me.I liked the VW atlas but I am not buying it from this untrusted dealership staff today and never in my life.

This is what happened to my sons Volkswagen Jetta at 37,000 miles (radiator leak) just 1000 miles out of warranty. Cost him $1000 to fix. But the real disappointment comes from a manager at the Racine location. He said he would like to follow up on the issue and he would email me for pictures. Never got that email.

Went here to buy a certified pre-owned 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan last Saturday and the buying process went pretty well. The salesman John was pleasant and easy to work with. Prices were fair and I was about to leave a happy customer. Before pulling off the lot I noticed there was a penny sized chip in the front windshield. I inquired about this and they insisted they will fix the issue once the glass service guys are here. I brought the car back a week later to get fixed only to be told, sorry there is nothing they can do. Not only was I lied to about them fixing a chip in the windshield, I had to take time off work to bring it back in, only to wait 2+ hours and nothing to be done. Now they seem to be dodging my calls as to settling the issue. Complete waste of my time. In a already saturated dealership market, I would take my business elsewhere.

My wife and I worked with salesman, Bryan Barnes, at Frank Boucher Volkswagen/KIA of Racine. He was very helpful in helping us test drive all kinds of models we were interested in and never pressuring for a sale (unlike our local Subaru place.). In the end they were unable to provide the exact vehicle we were looking for, a VW Golf Alltrack SEL w/ brown interior in either new or CPO (turns out there were only 4 in the nation). He did his best and offered me several alternatives (SE w/ brown and SEL w/black) at the best prices of anywhere, and he went beyond what any other sales person has for me. But there was a dealer within in range that has a used SEL with brown and that is what we wanted so we did not buy here. Our family has bought KIA here in the past and we will be again when it is time for the next car.

Luckily I did as it allowed me to meet Scott Westbrook at Boucher! Scott sold me my last vehicle 5 years ago, he and the vehicle far exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, that vehicle was totaled and I found myself looking for a new one. Not only did Scott deliver, but he made the transaction as easy as possible for me by driving to the Franklin store to complete the sale... on his day off! If you are buying a car, dont hesitate to call Scott!

I highly recommend Boucher in Racine. They are very easy to work with, low pressure and offer fair pricing. Adam Martinez spent a great deal of time with me, answering my questions, negotiating the trade-in, and working through every detail toward the purchase of my used Touareg. And what a great car! Its in excellent condition and came certified with 2 year extended VW warranty. We couldnt be happier and will return!

Lee McGee was my salesman and did a great job. Only reason I didnt rate my experience a 5 was because of the paperwork process on the finance side. We had agreed on a price for the car but took almost 1.5 hrs to get everything signed and finalized. If that process would have been quicker would have been a 5.

Ive been going to this dealership since 2005 when I bought my GTI new there. The service department has awesome customer service and do great work. My wife and I just bought a new Tiguan and worked with Darrell through the whole deal. Darrell is awesome to work with, he is honest and answered all of our questions. We are very happy with our purchase and will continue using Boucher Volkswagen for years to come.

Terrible customer service. Be prepared to wait and be jerked around for hours until you can actually leave with a vehicle. I would say this was a one off, but unfortunately we have been foolish enough to go here twice.

Lots of lies and hiding junk fees in purchase agreement ! Just a bunch of shady people! Never again! Do not except junk fees, look closely at purchase agreement before signing!

Nick Schouten took great care of me on my purchase of a used Tiguan. After the purchase, I was disappointed to learn I that there was only one key supplied with the car. Nick was able to take care of the situation and covered the cost of a second key and programming. Such customer service after the sale says a lot about Nick and the dealership. This is the second car that I have bought from them, and I wont hesitate to return.

Maintenance group (Dustin) is wonderful to work with.Super helpful for letting me know what my car needs and what I can put off until my next oil change. I want to keep my car in top condition but dont always have the money to do everything at once. I appreciate greatly & they have no idea how much that makes me willing to go out of my way just to work with them.Go all the way to Racine because of issues in Gurnee, IL. Gurnee is very close to my house & on my way to work. Racine is close to an hour away. That should explain a whole lot
