Front bumper damage required new bumper cover. They painted the new bumper red for a burgundy car. Then tried to convince me that it would eventually fade to match. The camera couldnt capture it, but near the hood, the primer can be seen through the paint. They tried to get me to accept this mess and call the job done!!!After complaining I finally got them to agree to paint it again with the right color.
Jeff was wonderful, he explained everything I needed to know. He is definitely a people person.
I had to get my car repaired after being rear-ended. I chose to use Southern States as I had used them in past with no problem. They had my car for over 2 months, would not return my calls and when I finally went to pick my car up the work was shoddy and had to be redone. Fast forward a year and I received an airbag recall notice. I had to use a Subaru dealership and Southern States is the only one close by. I called to make the appointment and someone picked up the phone-no answer-just chewing until I said something. He then basically said what do you want. I decided to drive the extra hour to another dealership-I cannot deal with them ever again.
Great service. The staff was professional, courteous and pleasant. I brought my Maxima in for front bumper repair/replacement. The entire job (including parts ordering and installation, paint matching, etc. was completed and the car returned to me within six (6) days. They did an excellent job and I was very pleased with the results. I would recommend this shop.
Has done work on my husbands car. Reasonable, efficient and kind.
I had front fender damage on a Subaru Crosstrek. They painted the new fender to match perfectly. There were other parts and minor repairs involved and it was all done very well. The painting was complex and took time, but the car was ready on time. They washed it and vacuumed the interior, which was a nice touch. They are also customer friendly!
Unfortunately, Ive had to visit the collision center twice in the first year weve owned our new CX-5 because of others running into us. Great job both times. Quality work and timely service. Mike does a great job making sure everything goes smoothly.
I can’t say enough about the level of service provided . I dropped my car off and everything else was taken care of by their professional staff. The workmanship and quality of the repair was fantastic. Thank you!
Good guys there and they do awesome work...
Great and fast communication from the staff, made my car brand new that other mechanics said was unfixable!
I had a nasty accident in January. Turned to this collision center since southern states was where I bought my car. And the job was done exceptionally. Plus I need an oil change, was due for an inspection, and had a recall. They have managed to do it all at once so that I didn’t have to make multiple trips. Excellent service, excellent work, despite the fact of being shorthanded! Chris was just amazing, he made it all super easy, smooth, and worry free. Great job, thank you guys!
Repair service is outstanding! That is why I always go back. Front desk need training in customer service. They arent that friendly and no one at the desk responds to phone calls. Thankful that the repair services overshadow the initial reception at the front desk.
It was a pleasure to work with Chris and Debbie. Anytime you have to go to an auto body shop you’re probably not very happy about it. And the fact I was T-Boned made this even more non-ideal. But I must say, the whole process- start to finish- I was extremely pleased. From the customer service to the body work done on my SUV- it was Perfect! And I do not say that lightly... I am a perfectionist and I could not find anything wrong! Only thing that could have made this 100% would be if the wash/detail was as good as the body work. They did shine it up very nice for me at the end, but a few spots were skipped over... nothing I couldn’t dust/shine once I got home. Overall, the experience deserves a Gold Star. If I ever need body work again, I Will be back! Thank you.
AVOID SOUTHERN STATES AT ALL COSTS!Wife’s vehicle involved in an accident around October of 2018. Started working with companies for estimates shortly thereafter. Due to lack of communication I couldn’t even get in for an estimate until nearly thanksgiving. Authorized them to order parts. Heard nothing over the holiday and into the new year. Finally brought the vehicle in near the end of January. Thank god the insurance is paying for a rental car because 5 weeks later the repair was still not finished. These folks simply DO NOT return calls. Finally showed up on them in person to demand the repairs be expedited. Around 6 weeks, after the insurance stated they would no longer pay for the rental, I gave Southern States a hard deadline or I would take my car back and they’d be stuck with the parts. They “met” the deadline but when I picked up the car there was still unfinished work to the tire rim. Mind you this was getting into March. No problem, they said, the people will contact you and replace it in your driveway or work parking lot. You’ll hear from them soon! Yeah that never happened.Called back in mid-April and got this sob story about management being replaced, so many customers, blah blah. The bad customer service is in the past and they’ll get me taken care of. Shame on me for believing Theresa (who funny enough wrote her own 5 star review below). Spoke to her once. Since then she’s never returned multiple calls. So yeah, if youre into a 6 month cluster of no communication and unfinished work... feel free to go to Southern States. Me? Next time Ill go to one of the other 100 body shops in the Triangle.
They did a great job repairing the side of my car after someone hit my car door in a parking lot. Everything looked brand new!Thank you Southern States Collision!
Horrible service and had to go back 3 times to get the vehicle fixed correctly. Was supposed to take 3 days but they had my car for almost 30 days. They never checked my car each time they did the work to be sure it was finished properly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Ive been a loyal customer of Southern States Subaru for a while and never had any complaints with sales or service. But the past month dealing with the Southern States Collision Center has been dismal! The work done was fine but the level of customer service was simply horrific. They told me two weeks to get the work done. It took four and a half. Numerous calls were all unreturned. I kept getting voicemail. I would finally get a human to ask them how much longer, and they would say I dunno... Ill look into it and call you back. But they never did. Its like a black hole of no information. Im just amazed that a business can be run this way. Again.... The Southern States Subaru sales and service teams are fine but this Collision Center left me rethinking the entire company!
I have to say that Janet, their front desk person, is fabulous. She took very good care of me and was very responsive to my requests and calls. I cannot say anything else about the Collision Center team but because of Janets customer service I would highly recommend this body shop to anyone
Chris R, Theresa B and the whole southern states collision team were BEYOND amazing. Not only did they do an immaculate job fixing my bumper but they even cleaned the inside of my car?!? Blessed. Thank you for all of your hard work and it was a pleasure working with you all!!
They did a great job on the repairs. But communication was not really good.
After a tree limb dented my roof, hood, and took out my windshield, the manager promptly got the hassle free transaction started and finished promptly. Great service on a Dodge Ram truck!! Thanks guys!!!!
This is truly a one-star review and not a Im upset review. We were inconvenienced with an entire management and staff turnover while our vehicle was being worked on, or so they claim. Had insurance adjust the damages on our vehicle and scheduled the work. 1 month went by with noone working on the vehicle, no one returned our phone calls when they promised, and each time we called, they had no idea where the vehicle was or its status (very frustrating). We had to pay for a rental car during this period and Southern States would not pay us back for the amount which our insurance would not cover due to their extreme negligence during the repair period. They fixed things which were not specified in the insurance adjustment which prolonged the payment period and caused our insurance to become frustrated.WHEN I CAME TO GET THE CAR AFTER HOURS IT WAS LEFT UNLOCKED AND KEYS IN THE VEHICLE IN THE OPEN PARKING LOT - EASILY COULDVE BEEN STOLEN.We had to have them repair a piece of work which was done under our expectation. We had went in-person to communicate, negotiated payment terms and reimbursement, just to leave and have all those plans fall through in the following days. This was the worst experience ive had almost anywhere in terms of customer service and proficiency. I will never bring my vehicle back to this location (unless their work needs replaced again because its warranted).Summary: TERRIBLE customer service, inefficient, extremely negligent, and they straight up lied to us multiple times and did nothing on their end to ease our extreme inconvenience and finances. Do not take your vehicle here.
Awful. The first time I brought my car in for hail damage they missed a golf ball size dent and a new piece of chrome lining wasnt properly installed leaving me to have to pop it back in every morning before work. Second time I brought my car in to get the driver side mirror replaced the mirror itself pops out on highway(super safe), of course I call them several times and they said they would take care of it.(they didnt) The third time I bring my car there which is my fault for all the previous bad service they replace the wrong parts, miss a huge scratch on trunk hood and still didnt fix mirror that they said would be taken care of.I guess its my fault for going back there after the first time but these ppl are getting paid good money 4500 for hail damage, 1700$ for mirror and 4000 for the third time. My car shouldve been fixed properly👎
I found a listing for one of their trucks online and went right down. I walked in and was greeted quickly and with a smile (not that ooh fresh meat salesman type smile but a real, How can I help smile).Jackie was awesome. I told her the truck I was looking for was right outside, she grabbed the keys and said lets go for a ride (not in a pushy way - she read me just right and thats exactly what I wanted to do).She took me on a pretty long ride to get a good feel for it, pointed out the features in a non-salesman sort of way, and we ended up in a casual and friendly conversation. It was great because she even insisted that she be quiet so I can push the engine a bit and get a good feel for it.Needless to say, I already knew I wanted the truck and told her so. I said I wanted to keep my payments as close to $400 as possible, even with my upside-down trade in (in the hole about 3k). Also that I didnt want to spend more than about 1k down.Long story short... She had another customer that actually came back by the time we finished the test drive so she asked what my plans were for the day. I told her I had no plans but was just hanging around for the day. She politely told me she had her customer that came back to finish up a deal and asked if I wanted to take the truck for a drive for a few hours and do whatever with it while she finished.I know had I said I was in a rush she would have set me up with someone else to finish the paperwork but since I liked her and enjoyed the idea of having some personal time with the truck to run it through its paces, I took her up on the offer and headed off for some lunch and a beer. Before I left she asked if I wanted to fill out the initial paperwork to get started on the loan while I was off joyriding! I said sure, knocked out the little bit of paper work for her to get started, and away I went. While I was at lunch she called to check on me and confirm how much I was willing to put down and told me shed be ready for me in a bit. I told her Id finish up lunch and head in.I did just that. After about another 50 minutes or so of knocking out the rest of the paper work, I was off in my new truck. But not before she offered to have me come by and get a complimentary detail and even offered to put some extra gas in it (assuming, because Im just an all around great guy!).While I wont make her take some of her commission to buy me some gas, Ill definitely make sure to head in for a another external detailing after I finish moving this week. All around this was a great experience with good folks. I also wanted to mention that Kevin (shoot, I think it was Kevin) was amazing and walking me through the loan process and making it as easy as possible. He got me a decent rate for my situation (when I expected worse) and was just an all around polite guy that seemed to work for me.Other points to note:1. They gave me what I considered a fair price on my trade in (Yes, fair. I know they need to make a buck too and my car seemed extremely difficult to make one on).2. (Now this is a big one) They did just about ALL the paperwork for me so I didnt have to spend FOREVER writing out a bunch of details. All I had to do was look the docs over, sign my name, and that was that.3. If you go in there, just be a nice person! So many people go into these dealerships trying to haggle and get a good price. I honestly felt my price I paid was fair. I didnt even haggle at all because Id been looking relentlessly for this deal and when I found it, it seemed pointless to try to push it down further. So check these guys out! If you go, mention Andrew Moyer sent ya and make sure to go see Jackie. Shes the most laid back car sales person I have ever met. And that says a lot considering Ive been in sales for years.Good luck with all your other car searches folks!
Car rides and looks great after collision. Thanks
Mr. Christopher was amazing!!! The entire shop was pleasant and polite. I truly appreciate their hard work!!!
Recently, I had to have my Chevy Suburban repaired after being rear-ended by another large SUV. My vehicle had damage to the rear door/liftgate as well as the bumper. In short, I couldnt have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Southern States Collision. As a Realtor, my vehicle is practically my office and a big part of maintaining a professional image, so making sure that my repairs were complete and professional was critical to me. I took my vehicle to three different collision centers in Raleigh to get estimates for repairs. To be honest, all 3 were able to see me almost immediately, but Brian, my consultant at Southern States, was the one who seemed the most professional and did the best job in explaining what repairs were needed and why. Of the 3 estimate amounts I received, I felt most comfortable with Southern States because of the professionalism everyone there displayed, as well as Brians explanation. The original timeframe they gave me for repairs was up to 4 days. It was completed in just 3 days, and I couldnt have asked for a better job. My Suburban now looks brand-new!
A deer was sad, and decided to end his life on my brand new car. Devastated since the car was only a few months old, we had to deal with insurance being scrupulous and take it to an approved vendor on their list. The approved vendor was a joke~ Gerber Collision~ so we had it towed to Hyundai collision. My car is a Hyundai Veloster. What an amazing group of people! All the staff were very professional, and treated my car as their own. You cant even tell the car had anything happen to it. I would definitely recommend this company for anything you need done to your car.
They did a very nice job repairing some front end damage on my Lincoln. They even did a couple of repairs on the interior for me. Real nice guys and very professional.
Terrible service. After being a loyal customer and giving these scam artists thousands in repair costs from insurance and deductibles, they proceed to screw me on my most recent claim with them. Simply wanted my car fixed that was already paid to be fixed and was done improperly the first time. Cowards is what they are. Not to mention David being the biggest liar of them all!
Very professional - honest and did not try to sell an extra service or product that we did not need or want. Positive experience - I would highly recommend
Pleasant and professional.
I was seen by Spencer at SSC. And was told that because I have my own parts they werent interested because they couldnt make enough money off of me. They cant accept the job. Im not one to pay the high cost for parts through mechanics and wont start now. Very dissatisfied and will never use them again.
Could not fit me in for 2 months. Cancelled a week before I was about to get it fixed.
DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!!!! Brought my car here for repair after a collision . Bad Communication car sat there for weeks & finally had to go in to demand an update . Received the WORST SERVICE EVER . Everything handled by ALBA !!! She simply just did not want to fix my car and spread many lies to my insurance company so they will not cover the damage . Now here i am stuck with paying for damages on my car ! Prejudice and evil lady !!! Stay AWAY ! Alba you will reap what you sow just know that !
Nice people, quick repair
