Wanted to give a shout out to Josh and the team at Precision Tune (Baileywick) in Raleigh. Josh is a great guy. Hes always willing to help with whatever is ailing your car. Ive been taking my mini fleet (when you include the kids cars) of vehicles to Josh and the team for decades. Its been mostly regular maintenance items, but there have been a few more involved issues that theyve been able to take care of for me. They are very professional, courteous, and helpful. I highly recommend them.

The team at this Precision Auto Tune shop are friendly, accommodating and curtious. I took my car here for alignment work after completing suspension changes. They took their time to get it all lined up and dialed in. I am happy to recommend this Precision Auto Tune shop.

I was introduced to Josh about 2 years ago after dealing with another store, I now drive 35 mins here to have my car serviced because they’re honest & get the job done!

We were looking to get a second opinion on our wheel bearings that was making a loud noise on the road from what the dealership had told us, so we took it in to Precision Tune to take a look at it for us. The team looked into our issue very quickly and gave us their opinion on on what needed to be done and how long it would take. The whole experience was great. The labor was completed sooner than I expected, we felt that they were honest with us, and were satisfied with how the vehicle is running now. We will definitely be returning for service again and highly recommend Precision Tune!

This is the best mechanic shop in RDU and they are always honest about the service and provide very fair pricing. I took my car in for a repair and I assumed I knew what the issue was, but since they are the experts they actually found out what the issue was and fixed it. Job well done and I have wasted hundreds of dollars at other mechanic shops, but this place is the best by far. Excellent customer service as well, and they also have a good environment if you ever have to do remote work in their shop. I am definitely referring them to all of my friends and pray for continued success for this location.

I’ve always have had a great experience with them. They are amazing & get things done in a timely manner. If they are behind they let you know up front so you can arrange a ride home or reschedule. Prices for oil change is amazing!

These guys were great. I needed an inspection for my car and had to take my 21 month old daughter with me. Everyone who worked there who saw her went out of their way to come say hi to her. The wait time wasnt bad and I was out of their quickly. I will definitely be going back.

My household has been taking our vehicles to Precision Tune at Baileywick for a few years now. Josh and the team are a top-notch shop. From routine maintenance to small (and sometimes large) repairs, the team takes each opportunity to talk about what they did to ensure optimal care for our vehicles.From experience, the team has spent time talking me through the process a car cycles through when the Check Engine light is reset or showing me the parts they replaced in my car to explain to me what happened.This past summer my starter decided to give up about 45 minutes from my house and an hour from Precision. Sure, there were other shops closer, but I had the car towed to Josh and the team because I trust them to make the right decision for my vehicle.I highly recommend this team.

Had a 9:30 appointment to change transmission fluid. Promised I’d be out in 60-90 minutes tops. Didn’t have fluid in stock. Took 2 1/2 hours to get fluid and another hour plus to finish job. No updates thru the entire process.

Brought my car in for an emission test and after it took longer than they felt was reasonable they offered the service at no charge. They did not need to do that and I said so. They were polite, professional and amazing. My wife and others that work at Cypress of Raleigh all say this is their go to place and I believe it. Amazing customer service

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I called the Precision Tune on Baileywick Rd in Raleigh tonight. The new manager, Josh answered or as I’ve called him my Guardian Angel.Picture this, you’re in the middle of your commute home. You stop by the grocery store and your “engine overheating light” comes on. You park and check online for the closest auto repair shop to me, and Josh’s location was only a 5-minute drive. You call them to ask if they could help out. It’s 5:45pm, the shop closes at 6pm. Jump forward to 7:45pm, you pull away from the Precision Tune with your car humming and your heart full. Josh not only stayed on the phone with me, talking me through pulling over to let the engine cool and what to do for the ENTIRE 45 minutes it took me to drive that 5-minute commute. Once at the shop he troubleshot until he found the problem and fixed it. That is service like I have never experienced before. He was a blessing, and I would trust him with any vehicle I have. He was AMAZING!!

The gentleman today that greeted me was very nice and the lady that called and told me my car was ready was very nice and pleasant very nice roomy spacious room and they seemed very nice and pleasant and they put the proper amount of air my car to the oil change and rotate the tires and I appreciate their service today and hope to go back to Precision Tune

These guys are fantastic. Super professional and friendly. I was checked in and they understood my issue within minutes. My issue that seemed really bad turned out to be something silly - nothing broken, just some bolts that had come loose. They didnt charge me nearly what I expected it to cost, so that was pretty great. They had me back on the road before I knew it. These guys are definitely my new go to shop for my vehicles.

I arrived at the shop to get an Oil Change in the am and the young lady with red and blond hair said it will be 2-3 hours and that is without a tire rotation. However, a white male came in 20 minutes later and the wait was 2 hours or less for an oil change a diagnostic check because he had other mechanical concerns. My belief is that she is prejudice and doesn’t embrace culture diversity. Yes prejudice still exists and it is unjust. It will always be a fight for fairness and equality.

If you’re trying to figure out a good place to take your car in for anything this is the answer. I’ve never had such amazing customer service. They are so nice. They took to time to explain everything to me and communicated well their process and cost. Their prices are better than any other place I called. Not only that but they gave honest advice about maintaining my car and getting the longest life out of it. Best experience I’ve had and I will continue to give them my business.

I had my timing belt and water pump replaced on 1/29/18. on 7/3/18, my timing belt failed and my engine is destroyed. The manager says that this was due to a leaky valve gasket witch caused the timing belt to slip off. Oil will wear on a belt over time. it will not cause it to fall off. I challenge you find find the oil in these photos. This belt is shredded and it happened over time not a sudden event. This belt was misaligned. Dont believe the 2yr/24 mile warranty they say they offer on their work. They may replace a spark plug here and there but if their work leads to catastrophic damage, they wont stand by their work.

Josh is awesome! after a very frustrating ordeal trying to fix the same issue. He took the time to look for an answer and had great patience with us. Would recommend and would be back for sure.

Brought my eight month old car for an oil change and tire rotation. Took a little longer than I was promised and, more important, I was told that one of my brights was failing. Hmm, pretty unusual for a new car. Dont think I used them more than 3 (short) times. Declined the repair, I had waited long enough and considered the $71 that was quoted as too steep despite the remark that replacing a bulb on new cars is not easy. Checking things myself I found out that replacing brights on my car can be done in five minutes. So much fornot easy. In addition, more seriously, the bulb worked perfectly fine after reconnecting the wires Hard to believe the wires loosened spontaneously as they are essentially locked into the bulb housing and require effort to disconnect.

I am grateful Josh and the Precision team. My check engine light has been off and on for months without resolution, even after several repairs. The team repaired the parts multiple times and did their due diligence to find the route of the problem. This was the last thing I needed in 2020. I am thankful for their time and hard work.

I have been going to them for my family car repair and maintenance 3 years ago and have known the managers by name now. You build the relation with them and they serve you well.

I have been going to this Precision Tune location for 15+ years. Always good service and trustworthy. The current owner, Josh is great- very friendly, courteous and explains things well.

Ive been taking my car here for about 5 plus years and Ive been really happy with the service, staff and continue to be. If they want to provide the part do your own homework. They found the part I needed and salvaged it was going to be $300 plus so my husband did his homework and found it for a third on-line so I would advise trying to find it yourself first! Other than that,,,they are awesome!

The purpose for my visit was simply an inspection and an oil change. The welcome was so warm and heartfelt! It was followed by a two hour wait for what was said to be only a 30 minute wait. And then the finale...! They managed to find minimally $5000 worth of issues to Bill me for. Like seriously! Btw... Left there and went elsewhere and was able to pass inspection with no problems at all.One other thing. Working on your customer service skills would be really great! Keep the same energy you have when they walk through your door to get service, while they are walking away after declining your prices. Its simple. Your cost is way too high. You need to cut it!

First time there. Went in for my yearly inspection. No appointments for that. Just dropped off and picked it up and hour later. Very easy.

This place is good!! They are nice and service oriented. My car died while I was waiting in the parking lot of my veterinarian during CoVid- because no one can go in except the pet.. I called them and they sent someone to jump my car at no charge and then I got the needed battery. They were friendly and got the job done!

Precision Tune is my go to for repair and maintenance. They have always been straight up with with me and I have never worried about being misled or being taken advantage of. Isnt that the unspoken doubt you have to get your daily driver back on the road? Can I trust them to help me with the problem and to be fair with me? I say yes. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to friends or family.

As usual, staffs are friendly, polite and always able to provide a good advice and helpful.

I needed to get my motorcycle inspected, and these guys were great. I had a moment of panic when I realized the inspection was due in three days and my best opportunity to get it done was in the next two hours. I called and Ronnie was as nice as he could be - told me to come on down and theyd have me in and out, and thats exactly what happened. Both he and Dan were super friendly. It was a great experience!

When I arrived the employees at the front desk were wearing masks but the employees in the garage were not. I didn’t notice them not wearing it there until I came back to check on my car and noticed. They seem to wet their masks until they get into the garage and off it goes. Not very safe. If I knew before I wouldn’t have done my business here but I saw it at the end. They didn’t even put plastic on the seat.

I’m new to the area and needed my car towed today. I’m so glad I went with this place as all of the positive reviews were accurate. The man on the phone was polite, honest, and listened to details and my car was fixed within 4 hours of it getting to the shop. I was able to take it home the same day. Will drive from Clayton to this location if I need anything again!

I found Ronnie! Need I say more? If so, you can expect to be treated with much respect and you will be provided with top notch service. Ronnie is a service manager that you can trust and know that you are not going to be bombarded with unnecessary services for your vehicles. He will keep you up to date on the services that are only in need. He has been my “go to” for the past 6 years. In addition, the waiting area is state of the art and offers a comfortable space to continue work, if necessary or just to relax while your vehicle services are being taken care of.

Just left this location... I will say the front desk staff is nice but I am quite annoyed with everything else, I needed an oil change but they said they couldnt do that til Monday which didnt make sense to me but okay, then I stated I went to another location and they told me I needed my front rotors replaced and got quoted for a price and wanted to take care of that, well I get a call and the quoted price was double what I told by a different precision auto tune in the area and honestly over car places in the area in general. Just very disappointing! So now I cant get a oil change or rotors fixed and everything closes at 5 pm so I cant take it anywhere else. Also my car is now making noises when I pulled off the lot that it was not making when I dropped it off. I just did not feel good about my experience there, like I stated the desk was very nice but overall service was poor and will not be going back.

I have been a customer of this particular Precision Tune since they shared a wall with Blockbuster (15 years) and they have always been up front, honest, quick with service when possible, and affordable.My best friend is a mechanic, as such I pretty much always have a good idea of whats going on with my vehicles. This location is one of the few shops that have not tried to upsell me on services and products I do not need. They certainly have informed me about issues with my vehicle, and generally Ill decline service to have the diagnosis checked with my friend, I have never once come across a case where Precision Tune has lied to me about any issues or the severity of such issues.Coupons have always been on the spot deals, I didnt have to worry about always keeping the coupon on hand as many other auto shops act like they dont know what deals they have running when you mention them unless you have them in hand.

Remember when youd go to a mechanic that your family or friends recommended because you knew they were honest and would look out for you? My battery was dying and I happened to be across the street from a Precision Tune. After having a great experience at another location I thought I would call and ask if they had time for a quick battery change. The woman who answered was very kind and helpful, said they could look at my car immediately. I drove over and was done in less than 45 minutes, all completed with kindness. Having car problems can really add stress to a person’s day, and at that time I had just left the hospital to get my MRI results to take to a spinal surgeon so I can hopefully walk straight again. Needless to say my day was already stressful. What is important is to always treat someone with kindness because you never know what someone is going through. And I feel the people that helped me did just that and it really made the difference in how I felt about my day. Thank you for having a great service oriented team.

Really incredible yet affordable customer service. Fast too!

It pains me to write this, because I used to love this place, but it seems to have gone downhill since its recent change of ownership. My wife took her van to get the brakes looked at because they were making a scraping sound, and ended up having to get the front pads and rotors replaced to the tune of $450. The installation seemed to go fine, but after a few days my wife noticed that the new brakes were still making noise. We took the van back in to get the brakes looked at again, and the mechanic told us everything was fine, and he couldnt hear anything. After a few more days the brakes started scraping even worse than the old ones did. I called Precision Tune, and was told by the manager to bring the van in and theyd change the brake pads again, which would take about an hour. My wife brought the van in for the third time first thing next morning. The manager told her she was a priority, but it somehow still took them two hours to change the pads while my wife sat in the waiting room with a fussy toddler.As I said before, I used to love this place. I even wrote a 5-star review. But, I think Im going to have to look for a new mechanic. Having to bring a vehicle in 3 times for the same problem is ridiculous, especially for something as comparatively simple as brakes. Despite what the manager said, I dont feel like we were a priority at all.

I was drawn to PTA by a coupon! It was a great deal! Oil change, top off fluids AND Tire rotation for under $25! Once I was done, I was sitting in the parking lot and multiple staff checked to see if I was okay since it was dark and they were closing up. Very friendly, great customer service.

I cant recommend this place enough. Ive been bringing my vehicle here for the last 2 years and theyve been professional and friendly the entire time. I mostly use them for oil changes and state inspections but they do provide a wide range of services. The waiting area is very clean and the chairs are quite comfy. Its also within walking distance of several other stores if you dont want to sit and wait.

First and foremost, I love the friendliness and service I get from the men at the front desk. I have been coming to this particular location for at least 5 years or more and even moved away for a short time and they were still there with the same excellent service and professionalism. Additionally, being a single a woman, I trust their judgment when offering advice about items that may need repairing for my vehicle, I dont feel like I am being ripped off or taken advantage of. I pray they will continue to be friendly and nice to everyone as I will continue coming and will definitely recommend others.

I noticed a worrisome sound coming from my brakes over a holiday weekend. I called around and on the Memorial Day holiday, and practically every service shop was closed due to the holiday. Thankfully, Precision Tune was open, and Mike and Gerald were extremely helpful and professional. They repaired my brakes and installed new brake pads in just a few hours. Highly recommend for routine automobile maintenance and service. Ill go back without hesitation.

I walk away feeling secure that everything has been checked and fixed with quality care. I especially like the new lobby which makes waiting experience very comfortable. Probably the best auto shop in town. Busy, so make an appointment, but great service, quality of work and back it up with a warranty. Bring my car here for everything and always recommend family and friends. They will do everything they can to help you out while most other shops just try to gauge you for as much money as possible.

Problem 1: I walked in and both people at the counter did not have a mask on.Problem 2: The people at the counter also attempted to help the man who walked in behind me before myself.Problem 3: my bill was more than I was quoted on the phone, I asked why and the woman told me it was for “shop fees” and then said she would take them off. I asked “why do you charge them if you are just going to take them off”This place seems shady and I don’t like the non-mask wearing!!

Went in there to ask a question if I can buy a battery and u guys can replace it for me for a charge. The older gentleman with a white beard could have just said no but he gave me attitude. Wheres the customer service I was just asking a question I dont see how that was being rude to them.Edit: Changed back to five stars because all my other experience after this has been pleasant. Maybe it was an off day for them.Last time I went they gave me their honest opinion of if I had to fix l my breaks and they said no. This let me know that they arent trying to scam me like some other mechanics .

Where I always have my car worked on. Been with them for years and Ive always been pleased with their work. Kind, respectful human beings to speak to and relatively well-priced work. Maybe one of the best places in North Raleigh for car repairs. Plus, its RIGHT next to a car wash and a Just Tires.

Great place with honest people; they dont try to sell the service that you dont need; they give advises which fit your budget and the condition/the value of your vehicles.And I forgot and left my laptop computer at the place. Later in the day, i realized the situation but the shop had closed. I was thinking it was gone. But the front desk has put it away and I got it upon the next day.Thank you guys.

I have been taking my cars here since 2009. Usually I do my own work but for things I cant fix I go here. Prompt service and the prices are good. I like that they dont try to up-sell you on unnecessary things.

I called ahead of time to see if there was a long wait for an oil change and was told to head in immediately for minimal wait. I arrived 10 minutes later and was told that there would be a 2.5 hour wait and the gentleman at the counter was extremely rude. I have no problem waiting for an oil change but it would’ve been nice if when I called, they had been forthcoming.

Take a lot to do oil change. I wait two hours and that said 30 minutes.

The staff is always so personable and treats customers like family. I love that I do not have to keep up with routine service for my vehicle because the guys at Precision Tune let me know what and when I need to have my car looked after. Further, there are rarely surprises when I bring in my car. The staff is honest and trustworthy, especially for mechanically clueless folks like me. I also really appreciate that there is an area put aside in the waiting room for children. My kids enjoy the sweet little wing back chairs, just for them, and actually did not want to leave when our car was finished. Finally, I am grateful for internet access so I can work while I wait. In the 3 years I have been a customer, I have never been disappointed and always left with a safe and reliable vehicle.

Ive utilized the Precision Tune Auto garage on Baileywick over the last couple years for oil changes, general maintenance, and state inspections and each experience has been fantastic. Their customer service is amazing and the work they do is timely! Each worker is sincere when they speak to you about costs and repairs--no tricks or games.My most recent car emergency brought me to their doors with only about ~30 minutes of their work day left. I told them about the concern I was having with my car and the manager on duty didnt think twice before he offered to check it out himself. When he realized that the issue would not correct itself and would require a more in-depth look he graciously told me hed get an available mechanic to open it on the spot. Unfortunately, everyone was already working on vehicles, but the manager devised a way for my car to be taken care of first thing the following morning. This required me to leave my car and would have made be rely on calling a cab for transportation back to my house. I didnt even bring this to his attention (knowing Id worry about calling a cab on my own). Sympathetic to my plight he kindly volunteered to drive me home in my car, and return to the garage with it so it could be repaired when they opened the following day. They showed me that they truly care about their customers and for that theyll continue to have my business and that of my family for years to come.

The front desk manager answered my (and other customer) questions openly and honestly, even steering one customer in another service direction to save them money in their specific situation. Ill come back here EVERY time I need service. Honesty is a tough attribute to find, especially in the car repair industry! Keep it up, and youll have me as a customer for life.

I knew I had a dead battery, so I took my car to the nearby Interstate Battery shop. The fellow there could not get his battery tester to work and he didnt want to sell me a new battery unless I really needed one. So he sent me around the corner to Precision Tune Auto, where they charged me almost $40 to just TEST the battery! Naturally, I bought a replacement - but I wont forget that they charged me for the test, when Interstate wouldnt have...

The wait times are pretty wild, but the service is cheap and theyre super nice. If you have 2-4 hours to hang out somewhere (depending on what you need done), 10/10 recommend

I came in for a leaking tire. The customer service rep that answered the phone told me it would be 1 hour. When I returned, there was some delay due to high volume of customers. I was upset that they had quoted the 1 hour and were taking closer to 2 hours. I made it clear to the manager that I was not satisfied. This is where the manager really impressed me. He got my car on quickly and determined that the tire could not be patched. In order to make it up to me for taking too long, he replaced my tire for free. I left incredibly satisfied. These guys are top notch professionals that believe the customer is always right. They turned what could have been a negative experience into a positive experience for me.

Very responsive personnel, good pricing, fast turnaround, convenient location with coffee shops and grocery stores around. Inside is a good area to wait with hot coffee offered. They even have some books for kids, very helpful. They will call you once everything is done.

I have been taking my 2 cars (2002 and 2007) to Precision Tune on Baileywick for several years now and I have received very good to excellent service every time. I have found them to be honest and not pushy to get unneeded services. Their prices are reasonable, especially with their coupons. They have worked with me on problems that werent easily identifiable at first and I have been impressed by their customer service and willingness to help you out. The manager, Toby, is personable and helpful. The assistant manager is also very personable and helpful as well.I definitely recommend using this shop for their services.

I like how honest the staff are and how things are explained to me when it comes to repair that my car needs. They have been consistent with this approach since I have been a customer going back 8+ years.

I wouldnt go anywhere else. Plus the new lobby has wifi for working and theres a goodwill near by. I look forward to getting my oil changed now.

Ive been coming to this precision tune for years now, since they were a smaller location and blockbuster was next door. Ive always been happy with their service and always have them do my oil changes on my cars. Unfortunately there is a new lady at the front who tends to be very rude with me the last few times Ive been in. Rude to the point that I just dont want to come back to put up with her. Ive given it a couple of visits hoping the attitude changes or maybe someone else can help me but it stays the same and Ive had enough. Dont get me wrong I love this places and do recommend it for others. The new staff is what will be leading me to go elsewhere.

Ken & Toby do a great job assisting my family with auto repairs & service on 3 different vehicles. These guys know what theyre doing and always seem to be looking out for me and my family. I use to only take my vehicles to the dealership but now I wouldnt go anywhere else but the Baileywick location. I am especially glad they sell tires making it a fully service shop for me. Also the new store is awesome!

They have cheaper coupons available on their website than they do in-store. I used a coupon for a standard oil change + fluids + tires rotated for $19.90. The exact same coupon was visible in the store, but for $24.90.Save $ and grab a coupon online beforehand (I just showed the employee the coupon on my phone, no scanning or anything).

Had trouble with car. It seemed to be a mystery. It was making weird noises and hesitating, but no indicator lights were on. I drove it as normal for another 2 days and had it towed back on a Monday. They were honest and told me we dont know whats wrong.The GM tech will be in on Tuesday.Daniel worked his magic on Tuesday and the car drives perfectly. They were all awesome.

Lied to me over the phone saying they had a part in stock for me to buy then when I got there they said they had to actually take apart my brake light housing (for the bulb that was out) to figure out what type of bulb. Which isnt true, you can easily find the type of bulb in their computer system with year make and model. They just wanted to make more money off me by replacing it themselves instead of me doing it and just buying the bulb.

I drive quite a long distance to get my car serviced here, Ken and Toby are the BEST!! The gentlemen are very honest, they never recommend anything that is not needed for your car. I must be Happy about their service if Im taking the time to write this review, and drive a long distance to have my car serviced. Surprisingly, theyve even fixed a few things when I was having other work done and did not charge me!!, yes in 2013!! All I can say is keep up the GREAT work!!!! and THANKS FOR KEEPING MY CAR RUNNING!!!!
