The Best! Tommy and his team of mechanics are always friendly, fair and do excellent work! Beyond being great mechanics they are just really nice people! The price is always very fair fort he market and they are super helpful! Our family has been taking our cars to Tommy since 2013 and have only had positive experiences!

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. My car broke down, was over heating, so Im thinking my belt broke. At approximately 2:45 p.m I Googled service stations near me, not knowing the area well. Well thank you Lord.. Mission Valley came up as an option. The 1st station I called told me he couldnt get to it till the next day. Then I called Mission Valley and a friendly voice said, Hello, this is Tommy.I explained my situation and he told me he would get it fixed that day. He gave me a # of a tow company that arrived 20 minutes after I called them. I was at Tommys repair shop at 3:30. Not only was my belt gone, but a pulley had fallen off with another pulley loose. After replacing 1 pulley, repairing the other, installing a new belt and installing a new negative battery cable, Tommys team had me on the road by4:45...Absolutely Amazing..and he charged me a very fair price. I work about 10 minutes from Mission and live about an hour away. Im bringing my car to Mission, 1st choice. I want to thank Tommy for assisting me so late in the day and getting me back on the road. A very honest, trustworthy businessman from what I experienced.

The world needs more people like Tommy! I had a radiator hose burst in my Nissan Murano. Took it to the nearest shop who quoted me very high and estimated quite a wait. A friend told me about Tommy and strongly recommended him but the shop was downtown, just a little too far for my gushing car to make it safely and so I hesitated because I would have to tow it. After some back and forth with my friend, I decided he sounded so good, it was worth having it towed. A few days later I got to meet the guy when I went to pick up my car!! He was just such a kindred spirit and I can see why my friend was such a fan. He charged me a fraction what the nearest shop quoted and this was about 2 years ago. His work was excellent and I haven’t had any issues since! Now I have an airbag sensor gone bad and I’m actually excited I will be going to see him again soon!

Tommy is an honest man. He will never overcharge you or try to rip you off. It is extremely rare to find such a car mechanic. I was referred to him by a friend and never had to go anywhere else in the last three years. If a repair is not needed, he will not do it just to make money. For instance, a few months back I asked him to rotate the tires. He said you dont need a rotation now when he would have easily done that and charged me. Once I went to him for some noise in steering. I thought the power steering fluid needs to be replaced. He topped off the fluid without any charge and asked me to come back if there are still any issues. He is an honorable man and you can trust him with your vehicle.

Tommy has consistently given me the best service Ive ever had from a mechanic. Ive just always taken it as a given that your mechanic would be trying to sell you more than you need, rip you off, and that you needed to check behind yourself with every move - Tommy flipped the script. Ive actually been there 3 times and he would only let me pay him once - he is a truly honest guy that is quick, knows his stuff, and is really looking out for you. Moving 30 minutes away soon and will probably still make the trip when necessary!

Had a stressful situation with a bad flat tire. Gave Tommy a call, brought him my car and within an hour he had repaired the tire, and said there was no charge. Excellent mechanic, great person. This establishment shall have my business and recommendation moving forward.

Tommy is a good guy. I like him and others (one is his son) working there. This is my go to place because they are located close to me.However, I had hard time understanding Tommy during first few visits. If you are an international, there is a chance that you will face similar issue.Its a drop in place. No appointment is needed last time I checked. Just try to go early, if you go there during afternoon / late afternoon there is a chance that you will be asked to come back the next day.This happened to me few times.Apart from week days, they are open on Saturdays but closed on Sundays.For minor issues, their price is good. If your estimated cost of repairs rise around or above $500, I would suggest to talk to different mechanic shops to find the best deal, since there may be cheaper alternatives. This is actually true for all mechanic shops. We need to see all our options before paying big bucks, right ?They will sometimes refer you to different mechanic places since they dont have solutions to all car issues. But they will give you their honest opinion and you can rely on that.They will read your check engine light for free (very nice of them) and try tell you their best guess about the issue. You can then pay extra and request for an in detail enquiry. You wont have to use their facility to fix it.For NC inspection, they have particular time slot ( probably after 1 pm, I forgot exact one). So if you drop your car at 8:30 am and wondering what is taking them forever, its because they havent started the inspection yet. I would suggest to give a call and clarify this before you go.Overall, its a good place with a nice flavor of small family business. You will enjoy your experience with them if youre not too picky!

Fastest, easiest, and most professional car repair Ive ever had. Tommy and the mechanics were extremely communicative, pleasant, and polite throughout the whole (very quick) process. The reviews seemed almost too good to be true, but Mission Valley really is that good. The price and advice cant be beat either. Honestly, I wish Tommy could fix the rest of my life the way he fixed my car.

Tommy (the owner-operator) is the man. His son is working there now too, and they are all great. Most importantly in the car repair business, they are always totally transparent and honest. They do good work and they are fair with pricing. My family in the area all take our cars there, and thats almost a fleet with just us. It can be a little tight parking, but what wouldnt be considering the location? Theyll deal with it once you hand over the keys anyways, so its no sweat. They also run like an old school service station, so if you pull in for gas, someone comes out and pumps it for you - usually Tommy himself. He is one of the hardest working humans Ive ever met. Early am - 6pm, Monday - Saturday. These guys are like family to us, but that isnt adding bias, they are legit.

I went to Mission Valley 66 based off of the other reviews that I have saw online and they did not disappoint! The gentleman here are honest mechanics and the turn around was super quick. If you need to get your car worked on I would recommend Mission Valley 66 ten out of ten times.

I have never felt being cheated here. When they are unable to do some repairs such as my catalytic converter they have referred me to excellent and honest places. I am very satisfied with these people. Tommy is getting very old and his son is now interfacing with people. His son is also very good and polite. People, dont get fused by Tommys a little rude and hurrying behavior, cut him some slack for being old and honest. They have done many small repairs for free such as cleaning a clogged up AC drain pipe, topping up my steering fluids, and trip checks. They are also very fast and efficient. They work in old style, so they dont have a webpage dont have an appointment system, but, the work just gets done! Being almost centrally locatedbetween the main campus and centennial campuses of NC State University gives it a 5 star for convenience! I have been using their services since 2015!

Doesn’t charge too much... the mechanic has great attitude and wisdom about cars... i have gone there many times... if you know whats the problem he will fix it... i would recommend inspect the car in a branded shop to find out whats wrong and then bring it here to fix it.

There was one time I came in with a very simple problem that i was having with my headlight. The KIA dealership said theyd have to take it apart and itd be at least 50$. I came here and he fixed it instantly on the spot with ease and when I asked how much he said dont worry about it. Great to find someone and somewhere where it feels like they are truly trying to help and not just make money as their #1 priority.

Tommy is really a great helpful guy that I recommend to everyone. It was late and my battery has died. AAP couldnt change it because the car was German. Tommy was the closest shop in Western Blvd and I was lucky to still find him around. He accepted to replace my battery while it was past closing hours. I took my car there and could tell they were honest by the way customers were treated. There services are slightly limited, to regular maintenance and repairs, so if you need your engine re-built or transmission repaired youll have to take it somewhere else. The same guys have been fixing cars there for 40 years. It was the first time a mechanic had come in right on their quote in a long time for me. whew! same day service

I went there last Friday (04/28/2017) to do a full system check, because I will drive over 3000 miles next week. They did the check and make the following low-level mistakes:1. There should be no oil change at all, because I did Oil change just two weeks ago. The sticker clearly states the next oil change should be made when milage is 95900miles and the current reading is 91000miles. They peeled the sticker off and did the oil change, because of the lower quality of the oil, the next oil change will have to be made at 93900 miles. I really dont know why they made such a low-level mistake. Although, Tommy agreed to waive the oil change fee, it still made me feel very sorry about the mechanics there.2. Before I did the check there, the A/C works perfectly. Immediately after that, I notice the air-conditioner does not blow cool air when the car is idling at a stop sign. I went back to them, tell them the story today (05/01/2017). Tommy said he will charge me for $70.0 dollars and deny they did anything to the A/C. However, I do not trust them anymore, I went to another car shop, they did the diagnosis at $60.0 and found out the fan was unplugged and did not get plugged back, which caused the problem. I am totally disappointed at Tommy and their service.I will not go there anymore.Plus, there is a gas station and sometimes they smoke when they work there. This is a very dangerous environment!

I love this place. A few years ago I had a flat and needed a new tire. I dropped it here, picked up that afternoon, $130. I was shocked, because Id previously been told elsewhere that my car has performance tires that are a non standard size and the cheapest option was about $200. I later went back to the other place and they sheepishly were like oh yeah...With a previous car, I went up on a curb and dislodged the plastic undercarriage. I brought it to Tommy and he looked at it and said he could order the part and replace it and it would be a few hundred, or he could zip tie it in place and charge me $20. Those zip ties lasted the rest of the life of the car.Love this place, honest pricing and honest advice.
