I checked so many services performed because NC Auto is the only place I have taken my vehicles for years! Thank goodness Ken has hired Mark and James. It is always a pleasure and education to have their expert diagnosis. Today they explained why AAA could not operate the tool to lower the spare tire when I recently had a flat and had to call a tow truck. Mark knew immediately that my Suburban needed the tool with the square end and James put the spare back under the vehicle where it belonged. Thank you, Ken, for maintaining the best auto shop in Raleigh and staffing it with the most knowledgeable mechanics!

I had a problem with my shift linkage bushing. Everywhere within the triangle told me I had to go to Ford or a transmission place and I called them and from beginning to end Mark helped me out. He actually watched the YouTube video that I sent him and called back within 10 minutes. He told me an hour and how got done within 15 minutes and the price was so cheap I didnt have to use my warranty. If youre in the area I suggest you use them for anything. He also explained why and showed me some other stuff. Even though he could have charged an arm and a leg for stuff that dint need to be done he didnt. Im thankful for Mark and his team....BLESSINGS

I called them Monday morning, my car arrived via tow at 3:30pm. I got a diagnosis at 4:30pm, and my car was ready by noon the next day. They were extremely knowledgeable, explained everything in a way I could understand, and were very upfront about costs. They didnt try to convince me to have something else done, and they were so nice to boot! Definitely take your business here if you want no nonsense upfront service that puts the customer first!

Brought my Tacoma in due to a slight vibration in my front end. [Ken- owner] and [Mark-senior tech] were efficient and helpful in getting my truck diagnosed of the issues. The prices were fair and the whole process was straight forward.

NC Auto has done some extensive repair work on my Toyota Tacoma and my sons Chevy Malibu. They basically replaced my front end suspension which was completely worn out and they did engine repairs for my sons car. In both cases they did an excellent job at a reasonable price and they stand by their work. I was extremely impressed with their knowledge, customer service and quality work. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of vehicle repair and or maintenance.

Mark and Ken are the best. Fixed my daughters car the same day I called for repair. Excellent work and very good customer service. Found my new auto shop from now on.

Ken is old school. He cares about his customers and their quality of work. Ken has kept our 98 Toyota Rav 4 with 145,000 miles on it running. Ken kept working until we were happy. A car with this many miles can be difficult to keep running but Ken keeps finding s way.

I just moved to the area and was told by a big Lexus dealer in Raleigh that I needed a new water pump. Instead of letting the dealer do it, I took it to NC Auto Services. Shortly after I dropped it off, they called me to ask why they thought I needed the water pump replaced. They did the necessary tests and told me it was fine at NO CHARGE. I cannot recommend them enough and am happy that I have found my mechanic in Raleigh!

The guys at Nc Auto Service were great to work with. Theyre friendly and took the time to educate me. They do quality work, timely, and saved me tons of money their approach to fix an oil leaking problem. I will only come back to these guys.

The people here were really nice and friendly. Wero able to fit me in right away. Were able to give me a ride to and from my house while they worked.

Took my wifes car here with an issue. Long story short, he stopped his work and told me to take it to Honda due to a known issue that Honda should cover. Charged me for his time and sent me on my way. Honda has covered everything so far with no charge. Couldnt have had a better experience. I highly recommend this shop.

It was a really good and quick professional job I had a pretty big job I had to get done on my truck it was done really quickly and they kept me updated through it all. They went above and beyond to fix an unforseen problem staying after hours. They even fixed my center console hinge. Great work and I will definitely go to them in the future!

Went to get a quick tire patch before work. Place was locked and lights off with no one in sight 10 minutes after they were supposed to be open with no sign. Had to drive out of my way to go to another shop. Unprofessional to not be available at your stated hours.

I bought my 1986 Monte Carlo SS to NC Auto Service shop for basic maintenance on a newly bought vehicle. The car had a small valve cover leak, and I wanted to replace old belts and fix the AC. Vehicle is in great condition for a 33 year old car. The shop performed work as requested, but still had issues from their work they did to my car. Had a check engine light on after their repair that wasn’t on before and the valve cover gaskets that they replaced were still leaky. Since their work was warranteed, they attempted to fix the valve covers but when I went to pick my car up after the second attempt, I was told my car was pouring gas from engine and couldn’t be driven. Mind you the car was fine and able to be driven and not pouring gas when I dropped it off to them. Due to their incompetence, I PAID a tow company that I found, to have the car towed to a different mechanic to be fixed. The other mechanic was able to easily resolve it, stating that the carburetor had trash in it due to the repair shop’s negligence. N.C. Auto Services sent a service record to Carfax that says, “mechanical issues reported- vehicle towed”.I believe that the original shop reported this to Carfax out of spite because they were unable to fix the car themselves and bitter that I went to a different mechanic. They did not report any of the other work I had done with them. I even called the shop and spoke with Mark, who denied reporting anything to Carfax, even though their name pops up on the inquiry. I wasn’t born yesterday, and believe what comes around goes around. Use this shop at your own risk, and lord forbid you don’t have to get any warranty work done by them. I am still out $300 plus dollars from the valve cover leak that I could care less about, just to be completely done with this shop!

Ken and Mark rock! Ken is a sweetheart, and Mark really helped me not lose the data in my navigation system when he had to change the battery. I finally found a car repair shop I can trust.

Previously I had a positive review here... I worked here and was asked to do a fake review pretending to be a customer.Honest shop... Is not out to take advantage of people ignorant to automotive systems like some shops are.When I was there, I was only tech staffed, so dropoffs wiser than waiting. And when I was in shop doing basic stuff, owner would look over shoulder worrying that I might be using equipment wrong (ie balancer/alignment rack), despite having zero experience in this field.I once saw this guy spend over 2 hours resetting a tire pressure light (and doing it incorrectly) instead of letting me do it. He got all flustered and made me help him with inflating/deflating during this misguided display of OCD. I cant imagine the customer was too thrilled about this.Also intentionally overpriced quotes for people who were asking what our prices were. He didnt want customers who cared about things like how much we cost. Total moron, will go out of business soon

Great customer service. The owner cares about his customers. I came in for an estimate on fixing my muffler. I lost it on Rt.85 after a big wheeler blew out a tire which bounced all over the road till it wound up under my car, snatching my muffler as it made its way to the next vehicle. Scarry. Any way, NC auto took a look said they could fix it. Heres what makes them a cut above the rest.... they told me that another shop could do it cheaper. Yes they did! Impressive right? NC Auto was the 2nd shop I went to to get an estimate. The 1st shop wanted to charge $489.00! And didnt mention alternatives. I took NCs advice. Went to the shop they recommended and saved hundreds. Before I left the NC Auto shop, since my car was in the air, I asked if theyd take a look at the brakes which were operating wobbly. Long story shortened, they fixed my brakes, gave me a great price. As a matter of fact, I was able to get my brakes fixed and my muffler repaired for less than their competitors price to fix my muffler! Thank you NC Auto.
