So far so good, this is my first time utilizing their mechanic service. Im having my coolant flushed. They are friendly, reasonable priced and informative of what theyre doing and why. Im waiting on them to finish the job, then I will know if I will use them again.

I brought my vehicle there for a timing chain service and everything went fine. I brought another vehicle here after that to have a crank but no start diagnosis done, and had the worst service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. They had my car for over 6 months, with no updates unless I called them, and for the first 4 months it wasn’t touched and I was told the shop had structural issues so no one was at the shop, and then I was told the mechanic had health problems so that was another delay. Then I was told, ” Derrick, I apologize we are getting very limited information from BMW on the components your vehicle likely needs. I am working to decide if it’s best to have you pick up the vehicle and return when we have updates because unfortunately at this moment functionally we cannot repair the vehicle. There is a bearing that attaches (essentially) the crank system (pressure) to the crank system (mechanical). When they wear down it creates an “emissions” issue, which in turn creates a functional one.” I got my vehicle back and sent to another shop, where they informed me in the first week that the vehicle had zero compression because of carbon build up. Took the spark plugs out and put in sea foam over night to soak, and the next day it was back at 160 pounds in each cylinder. I just feel as if my car was never looked at and I was just given the run around for 6 months, I can’t recommend this shop for anyone who wants straight answers from mechanics.

Triangle Imports saved my weekend!! I was heading out of town and my ‘check engine’ light came on. I was literally stranded on the side of 40 with no clue how to fix whatever was going on under the hood of my Audi. I’ve heard good things about Triangle Imports and I decided to give them a call. They were so helpful and even got my vehicle towed to their facility. Turns out my water pump was completely cracked which was causing my vehicle to overheat. The service crew was so kind and knowledgeable. They quickly fixed my water pump and I was back on the road in no time! I also felt extremely respected which is not the case with most service shops in the area. Brought my 2009 335i coupe in. Car was leaking oil onto the exhaust. Matt had me bring it first thing in the morning and had it diagnosed as a leak from the back of the valve cover on the passenger side. Discussed the option of replacing the plastic valve cover with a metal one to eliminate the possibility of it cracking again. Ordered the part and had it installed. He was able to get me a better price on the part than me ordering it myself. Def check these guys out if you have a BMW

After an absolute fiasco with Leith BMW who misdiagnosed an issue and refused to rectify it, Triangle Imports came to the rescue. They helped with a tow from the dealership just to look at the car. My 991 had reached the end of its normal maintenance at Porsche Southpoint and I was looking for an alternative. I called several facilities and felt immediately comfortable speaking with Matt (owner). Just his immediate understanding of my vehicle, as new as it is was extremely comforting. My vehicle did not need repairs, just fluid changes and services and he discussed with me the products being used and the fluid approvals. To be honest I did not know there was so much knowledge outside of the dealership but I’m glad I found them! And I think you will be too!Highly recommend

Had them install a set of lowering springs on my Volkswagen. Very knowledgeable, and the only place that would warranty the labor even though I purchased the springs online. Price was fair and they were up front about cost/turnaround time. I’m pretty sure they hand washed my car too before I picked it up. They’re my new go-to.

I used to recommend TI very highly but I can’t say that I do anymore. The way you’re treated as a customer by the staff and owner is fantastic, but the quality of work was disappointing. As a whole the work done ended in a functional automobile, but during disassembly/assembly they broke a number of fasteners and studs without replacing them and broke other attachment points that cannot be replaced. They also neglected to torque all fasteners to the proper specification causing me to have to re-torque multiple nuts and bolts less than 5000 miles after the repair.

I recently brought my BMW 335i in for some major performance upgrades and repairs (Pure Stage 2 turbos, Spec Stage 3+ clutch, oil change, coolant flush, flex disk, and a few other things) and was blown away by the high level of customer service I received. Triangle Imports came highly recommend and I can see why. Before I even brought in my car, Matt was already working hard to make sure I was at ease and comfortable. He secured excellent pricing on all of my performance upgrades by working directly with the manufacturers. When I dropped my car off, Matt again explained what was going to be done to my car and set expectations for any potential repairs that might be needed once they took a closer look. During the whole process I received pictures of the parts coming in and the old components that were being removed. Show me another place that does that. Not once during this whole process did I feel forced to authorize any unnecessary (up-selling) repairs. Matt answered all of my questions within minutes of me reaching out and was happy to explain things in a way I could understand. You can really tell everyone at Triangle Imports loves what they do and have your best interests in mind. They work to build your trust and do not disappoint. If you can tell I am thoroughly impressed and will be (and have been) recommending them to anyone that needs automotive repairs and/or upgrades.

After moving from Richmond it was difficult to find a reliable facility for my 335Xi Bmw. After several months dealing with intermittent high pitched engine noise Triangle Imports found signs of failing engine bearings in my motor. After a long discussion with the Owner Matt we found rebuilding was the best and most effective option both from an engineering and financial perspective. Wanted to thank Matt and everyone at Triangle Imports Services. Over the past week they have worked on both my nsx and m5. I was looking to enhance the power and sound without going completely overboard and Matt helped me accomplish that. Matt has great relationships with all of the best aftermarket companies. We installed Science of speed downpipes and Keller performance downpipes. The process went flawlessly and the end result is better then some dealerships would do. Recently we had transmission problems with our Audi A4 Quattro, and after getting us in very quickly, they diagnosed and repaired the problem, and replaced the rear brakes all n the same day so my daughter was able to get back to college and work that evening.The price was reasonable to boot.Nice people and quality service! Its hard to find a place like TI, but were sure glad we did!

I have a Volkswagen and Triangle Imports fixed all repairs and had me back on the road within a day and a half. They are MUCH quicker than the dealership and MUCH cheaper. They handled all dealings with my warranty company and even got me a lowered co-pay. Very pleased with the company. Also, this is the first shop I have ever been to that actually washed my car after repairing it! My car is in the shop, on average, once every two months and I have always taken my VW to the dealership. However, this will be my new “go to” shop from now on.

Hands down overly impressed with Matt’s professionalism. He all but saved my son’s car-BMW 335 from the salvage yard. He’s also worked on our BMW convertible. Just can rave enough about how thorough and comprehensive Matt is with our cars. Go see him FIRST and do yourself a big favor. I have BMW 535i that had a Major engine failure. We took our car to other places to have it repaired and was told cannot be fixed. We took it to Triangle Imports and they accessed the problem and made some very important recommendations. We decided to take there suggestion of rebuilding the engine we had and they gave us a VERY REASONABLE QUOTE. They treated us like we were there only customers at the time, my wife liked the answers she was given. They did the complete overhaul in a SUPER timely manner and the car runs better than it has in a long while. All of this and they give you a 24 month or 24,000 mile warranty on the repairs. IF YOU HAVE ANY IMPORT VEHICLES THAT NEED TO BE LOOKED AT,TRIANGLE Imports IS THE go to place TO TAKE YOUR special vehicles.

Triangle Imports has one of the cleanest shop floors I have ever seen for an auto shop. They are always friendly and provide excellent service.

AVOID - READ THIS FULLY TO KNOW WHAT YOURE GETTING INTOMy brothers car needed the clutch release/throw-out bearing replaced. After being in the Triangle Imports Service for a few days, him and I assumed that the worn bearing and clutch parts had already been removed. We went to ask to see them to check wear as he had requested that before work began. We were not shown the parts, so my brother strongly asserted that he wants the parts, or pictures and the parts once finished.Brother and I are sons of a mechanic and do all the work we can on our own cars. However, we do not have the time or equipment to drop a transmission from a lowered car in our driveway. We had correctly diagnosed the problem as a bad throw-out bearing. We had known this long before having it towed to this shop.After a few days, we decided to drive to the shop to check up on progress and to see or ask questions about the required replacement parts. I’ve visited shops all across North Carolina as a child, teenager, and adult. Never once have I had an employee aggressively state that I couldn’t see what was wrong with my car. The primary reason was to ask about why the OEM clutch release fork was being replaced and why it cost over $100 in parts. We had already established the fork in the car was an OEM part, and that the clutch slave cylinder was extending the fork far enough to disengage the clutch.Asking this simple of a question, we were met with immediate hostility by the tech at the front. After trying to clarify a point my brother was making, I was interrupted, belittled, and told not to speak while the “tech” doubled down this wrong part assertion to my brother.However, the service tech refused to accept reality and lied claiming the OEM part caused premature bearing failure. Tech aggressively insisted many times that the Subaru clutch release fork for a 2006 Subaru 5MT was the correct part for brother’s 2007 STi 6MT. A 30 second internet search could have revealed that the parts are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.A minimal amount of research. He could have realized, fixed his mistake and apologized for acting like a toddler by making a google search. Instead, he refused to admit that the $46 part he was charging $107 for was the incorrect part. He stated again that the OEM fork caused premature bearing failure and that WE were wrong. Even after showing him a direct side by side comparison.It was hilarious to see this man try and force me into an argument simply because he couldn’t admit he was wrong before having a tantrum.Great first impression. Snowflake with no mask, anger issues, who can’t admit he’s wrong. Threatening to abandon customer cars, interrupting me when I show him how he’s wrong, very respectable individual. I’m sure many like minded people working at Triangle Imports Service. Sales guy up top ain’t too bad though.

They don’t make a lot of facilities like this anymore. My 2014 GTI suffered crankshaft bearing failure and the VW dealership told me that an engine replacement was my only option. I spoke with Matt and scott at Triangle imports and they assured me that rebuilding the engine was an option and it would be far less than the cost of an engine replacement. One week later I my vehicle was returned, at the price we discussed and the engine has never performed better!Thank you triangle imports! Highly recommend!

My husband and I have lived in multiple cities, dealt with multiple high end car dealerships and independent businesses, and drive a foreign car that was expensive. Unfortunately, the car has had many sporadic issues based on manufacturing defects, and multiple recalls. Trust goes a long way with me. I need to be assured that my family is going to be safe in their daily vehicles. One less worry I have as a father of 4. I trust Matt and his staff. Well I came to him a while back with my b8 Audi. Engine was burning oil. A quart every 350-400 miles. Had to get it fixed. With no hesitation, I visited my friend Matt. I wanted my vehicle to be able to go on forever without worry of oil consumption, timing chains, cooling, breathing, anything outside of basic routine maintenance. We put our heads together and agreed that only one company could provide a firm foundation for the project about to unfold. He got on the phone an called up a friend at Integrated Engineering. I had mentioned that if was able to, I’d love to use their internals, because they’re known to be the best. Well, solution was a ton of stuff. Lol. It’s not gonna leak or break. I was stressed. I don’t know how and I don’t care, but everything seamlessly fell into place exactly as I was told it would. I was given a date and time to come pick a complete turn-key project.They got it done. They are savages in the shop

Huge shout out to @triangle_imports . What a job they did with my car! There were a couple of curve balls thrown at them, the biggest being a siezed and eventually broken glow plug. From start to finish Matt and the team were informative, responsive, wonderful to work with. These guys are fantastic! Excellent customer service. They follow up with you even after work is performed to make sure youre still happy. I was informed every step along the way while they had my 135i in their shop. And was given solid recommendations for future upgrades for the car. They were able to squeeze me in and somehow knocked out a whole list of things I needed done, brakes, lpfp sensor, suspension replacement and alignment. I dont normally do reviews as I could really care less but these guys were truly fantastic. I intend to bring all my cars here for future work. Plus they are extremely competitively priced!

Round 2. Ended up going Upgraded Turbos for my 2009 335 E92. Matt and I had Discussed this previously when he did my Spec Stage 3+ Clutch install in February. Once again he delivered with the best pricing on parts as he worked directly with the manufacturer and best pricing on labor. Dropped my car off and we spent prob a good 45 minutes discussing everything that was going to be done plus supporting future fuel mods to hit my higher horsepower goals. Whole time he had my car he sent pictures of new turbos, old turbos removed etc. no other shop has ever done this for me. The way he can make you feel comfortable about the work being done and your car being in a safe place is what keeps me coming back and referring my friends to Triangle Imports. Picked up my car and it was spotless! He had kept my car in the garage during the big snowstorm we just had! No other shop cares enough to do this! My bill was exactly what we discussed and not once did he try to add on items or sell me something I didnt Need. He recommended things that he noticed while my car was apart and recommended items that might be problem areas in the future. Once again I HIGHLY recommenced Triangle Imports to anyone in the triangle area that needs work done on their BMW. #repeatcustomer

Ive got a 2008 BMW 535i and Triangle Imports got me back on the road in no time! They replaced the brake pads, rotors, and repaired the oil leaks and now my pride & joy is running like new again! The whole experience was seamless from start to finish. You cannot trust these people!! I took my BMW there to get my check engine light fix and they fixed it for a day and then it came right back on, on top of that first they said that it was going to cost me around the 600, but when they had called me to let me know my car was ready the said that the total amount was almost 900 dollars..so i was ok with it as long as my car was running good but it never did and also i know for a fact that these people always tries to add up more things to your bill even if you dont need it, like they did to me, or they just said that they replace something but they actually didnt. I really dont know why these people cannot be honest with you, Im never going back there again....

I was kept informed every step of the way, was given some excellent recommendations on other components to replace while the work was being done and I was given a loaner car. Where do I even begin! Lets start off by saying that this was by far the best experience I have ever had with an Independent European Garage! Matt the owner deserves an award for the exceptional customer service he provided. After Matt and I went through several weeks of discussion and preparation for the Spec Stage 3+ Clutch kit and Spec Single Mass Flywheel install I dropped my 2009 BMW 335I off at Triangle Imports Tuesday morning 2/6/2018. Matt was awaiting my arrival and presented me with with all the parts he had ordered for me and did a thorough explanation of how everything works together and what his plan was for the install. Throughout the day I was getting Text message updates and photos sent to my phone keeping me in the loop on how everything was coming along with my car. This making me feel at ease that my car was in great hands. Having this extra benefit of communication during the install made me extremely comfortable with Matt and his team. Once the car was done Matt let me know it was ready for Pickup which ended up being a 1 day turnaround as promised. Picked up the car this morning 2/8/2018 as I had to make arrangements to be dropped off at the shop. Again, Matt greets me and explains how smoothly the install went. Then he took me in the garage and gave me a tour showing me around the shop so I could see the conditions of the garage. Very clean, professional work space. Took me back up front went over the cost of everything that went into the install. Matt beat everyone in the Raleigh area on price for parts and labor. He didnt try to charge me for unnecessary repairs and my bill was exactly what we discussed and agreed on months before. Before I walked out he explained what to expect in differences in the feel and drive of my car with the new clutch as I was going from a stock to high performance clutch. Left the dealership, car drove great and exactly as Matt described. From a person that has had several German vehicles and have taken them to shops all around the RDU area I must say that Triangle Imports takes the #1 place for best customer experience. I most certainly will be recommending them to my other BMW friends and will be a repeat customer! Thanks to Matt and his Team!!

I was recently at Triangle Imports because my car had been making a squealing noise as though a belt needed replaced. When I walked in the service people told me that they were going to run diagnostics in order to find the issue. I explained that I think they will be able to visualize the problem because you can easily hear where the noise is coming from. They said okay, and proceeded to take my keys. About 15 min later the service guy came back and said my car was not drivable, my compressor needed to be completely replaced, as well as belts and various other items. I explained to the service man that I just drove to PA, and back to NC and your saying my car is not drivable? He could not explain how I was able to drive my car, and proceeded to quote me $1,200 to fix my car. I was very shocked at the price and told him I needed to think about it. He then came back in the waiting room and said he could do the job for $960. (Why all of a sudden the price decrease?? ) I told him that I wouldnt be able to do any of the work until Tuesday of next week. I went up front to schedule an appointment, and he told me that todays visit going to cost me $115. I said for what? I didnt ask you to run diagnostics, and I was NOT TOLD that it was going to cost me $115 to put my car up on a rack for 10 min...Its not like I wasnt agreeing to get the work done. He became agitated with me for questioning. (There was another client in the waiting room I was speaking with that told me he had been there since 9am going on 3pm for his car, and also being charged upwards of $1,500.) I jokingly made a comment to the other client who already was complaining to me, and the service person became even more agitated and angry. He left behind the front desk counter and said lets go your car is up he didnt even thank me for the money I gave them to do nothing at all. I have had my car serviced there multiple times and never had issues like this, but I never dealt with the service person that was there today. I didnt trust him the second he told me that They needed to run diagnostics before even looking at the car. I dont write reviews..this is the first Ive ever written in my life, but I was very distraught from this experience. Another client that was just browsing cars must have heard the conversation because they actually stopped me on the way out and gave me a card to another mechanic. They said that their mechanic will see that my car is serviced properly. I dont know enough about cars to say that they were trying to rip me off, but my instincts were telling me to get out of there and Im glad I did. I did not want to write badly about this business..I know how difficult running a business can be, but this was beyond unacceptable..I mean.. you know its bad when a complete stranger tries to help you bc they dont like what they are seeing.
