Can’t say enough positive things about this team. Quality parts, fluids, service, etc. from the techs as well as consistent communication from the office. Plenty of shops you could go to that couldn’t care less about your issues, but Choice Auto truly has gone above and beyond every time I have been here. Alton, Kit, both Tim’s, and the other Techs that work here are well-trained, communicative and honest. Hands down the only shop I would consider in Raleigh to work on my car, period.

When I unexpectedly had car problems on my way to work, they got me in quickly and were able to tell me what was wrong with my car in no time! They took the time to explain the needed repairs and the cost beforehand. They ordered the parts and got my car back to running like new as quickly as possible. I even sent my boss here after he had a terrible experience at a car dealership for routine upkeep on his wife’s car. He said he Choice Auto Repair was “Amazing!” and he’s never going anywhere else.

After a clutch repair from a different shop died after a year, I decided to give Choice a call. They were very flexible and the estimate came with pics and detailed explanations. I know it is not always possible to diagnose a mechanical issue over the phone, but between the technician asking the right questions and me bringing it in when I did, they accurately identified the issue and completed my repair successfully and affordably.During the call to set the appointment, the technician also kindly advised me when to arrive to ensure that they could complete my repair that same day.I did wait at the shop while they worked on my car, and their WiFi-equipped waiting area is comfortable, quiet, and clean.Im really thrilled with the service this shop provides. I called to schedule an appointment to bring my car in to get looked at for squealing brakes and they were able to fit me into their schedule for that same day. They looked over it and fixed the problem all in the same day. They also send a link out that allows you to see what they did to test the vehicle, what the diagnostic is, and recommendations for fixing it/what they did to fix it. The next day they reached out to me to make sure that everything was still working well with the vehicle! Highly recommend this place!

Requested pre-sales inspection of a Ram 1500 and the team performed a quick and thorough job. They even provided a private office area while I was waiting. They have also performed fantastic and cost effective service for our other vehicles.

These guys were great! The service advisor listened to my situation and what I needed and then offered options based on that. They were upfront about what my car needed and what could wait, but made sure to explain the pros & cons along the way. The mechanic that worked on my car did a great job. He was efficient and detailed. I have an older car so inevitably there are things that need to be addressed. Between him and the service advisor they put together a quote to repair things that were seen while inspecting – things that I have been quoted previously at other shops were better priced at Choice Auto Repair. While I was there for specific maintenance that day, I feel comfortable with the knowledge and quality of work exuded and will return to fix the other things that were found. Also, given the current state of dealing with a pandemic and still needing my vehicle serviced, I was very happy to see that the employees were practicing social distancing, were wearing masks, and disinfected the vehicle after servicing. A+ guys!

I would give 10 out of 5 stars if possible. Absolute best customer service experience I have ever had. My uncle had passed away a couple days before, and as I am going to leave to go down the road 3 hours, my car won’t start. I eventually get a neighbor to jump my car and I bring it to their shop (my first time there) and they do a diagnostic for me. They even allow me to bring in my dog (my car was completely packed up ready to go down the road) and get her a bowl with water while we wait. It turns out I need a new battery and a a part that wouldn’t be available for delivery until the next day. I tell them my situation and that I am leaving to help my mother out with everything following the death of her brother. They are extremely sincere and talk with the owner, and they offer me a loaner vehicle FOR 5 DAYS so I can help my poor mother. After seeing my reluctance in accepting this, they call around and send an employee out to go pick up the part so they can fix my vehicle and get me on the road. This was all happening at closing time but they made sure I had my vehicle so I could get to my mother and help her out.Absolutely phenomenal customer service. I will be using them for everything vehicle related in the future and I highly recommend them.

I had a wonderful experience at Choice Auto, not only did the mechanic show me the problems with my car but when the bill came he said they were able to find a less expensive part and was 100 dollars less then previously quoted.They also have a separate waiting area with a closed door so my toddler was able to wander freely in a safe place while we waited.100% will be going back in the future.

Choice auto repair is great! They have been my families mechanic for the last 5 or so years. Both me and my older brother relied on them to inspect many cars as we navigated our buying experience. Its a small business but the customer service is always quick and polite.

Im very happy with the professional yet personable service and promptness of their work. I had the state inspection and a brake line purge done here. Kit clearly explained the work that needed to be done and the time it would take and called me when the car was ready. I didnt pay enough attention when he told me that they would leave my key under the mat. I found it a half hour later when i notice the bulge under my foot. Doh!

Made an appointment for 8:30 am a week ahead of time for a state inspection. Dropped it off no problem. The initial appointment making process told me it would take an hour. Upon drop off I was told two hours. Over two hours later I return and find they havent even looked at it. Another hour and a half later I finally get a call to pick up. Front desk was apologetic and I understand it was not his fault. Disappointed in such a highly rated shop.

I have taken two cars here for repairs and they did excellent work both times. I feel you cant trust a lot of people and places these days, but you can trust them. My car had many issues and they fixed them all, it drives like a new car. I was thinking of going to Honda for repairs but they didnt seem interested in helping me and wouldnt loan me a car to drive while repairs were made. Choice Auto loaned me a car and filed a lot of the work under my warranty and I didnt have to worry about all of that. They also worked quickly. Great customer service and communication.

Honest!! As a woman, I always feel like I’m going to get ripped off. These guys were great, explaining to me what I needed- and what I didn’t. I had previously gone to another mechanic (for a simple oil change) who told me my transmission was leaking, and showed me the drips. These guys checked it and said it was just that—a drip—likely from a splash of transmission fluid!! When my car needed more serious maintenance, they let me borrow a car for free to run an errand while I waited. Can’t recommend them highly enough!!

Looking to purchase a used car for our son I was referred by a trusted friend, I owe my friend BIG time! After reviewing many shops in the Raleigh area, I took a full engine swap project to Choice Auto Repair. The swap required complete restoration of the new 1982 motor, re-engineering of the motor to original performance, and repairs to brakes, suspension, cooling, transmission, and electrical components. Not only was Alton accurate in estimating the cost of the job before even starting, he went above and beyond to personally ensure that everything went together correctly and was safe for use. Choice Auto Repair didnt just fix the car, they took ownership of my problem and provided a complete solution.

I have been a loyal customer of Choice Auto since I discovered them in 2002. Even I live an hour away now, I still go back to Raleigh to see them for major repairs (anything more than an oil change or fluid checks) because they know me, they know my car, and theyve always been fair in pricing and explaining to me (a lay person) what they are doing and why. Today my car totally died on the side of the road far from home and AAA towed it to a local mechanic, who asked me when my alternator was last replaced. I had no idea, but I called Choice Auto and they happily checked my service record to give me an answer so the emergency mechanic could narrow down diagnostics. Theyve kept my vehicle in near perfect condition (in 12 years, this is the first time it has ever broken down because theyve always kept up with my preventative maintenance.) Everyone at Choice is wonderful and I recommend them to everyone I know.

My 2002 Nissan Pathfinder started giving me problems for the first time in the nine years Ive owned it. I looked around for foreign auto specialists in the area and decided to go with Choice Auto Repair because of their location and because of the positive reviews. My experience was positive from the very beginning. Alton was able to schedule my Pathfinder to be checked out by the next day. After diagnosing the problem, I was informed of my options, which included either a part be repaired or replaced. They tried the repair, but ultimately a replacement was needed. I was kept informed during the entire process, the work was completed expertly, and I was charged a fair price for the parts and labor. I highly recommend Choice Auto Repair if you want an honest value when having your car repaired.

I have three cars that I bring to Choice, One is a 1993 Nissan 300zx which because of its years was giving me annoying problems, runs rough in morning, horn buttons broke, alarm going off by itself (neighbors did not like it) and they corrected them all. I also have a 2004 Toyota Sequoia that needed the timing belt replaced at 160k (60k over recommend change) and since it was my work truck they had a loaner I could use while they were working on my car. They bend over backwards to make your visit easier and less painful. Very knowledgeable mechanics. When my wife drops her car off they take her to work which in down the street.
