This place has amazing fabrics. The prices are reasonable and the choices are great. I recommend this place and its worth the trip.

Amazing selection and if youre willing to be flexible you can find good deals in the bargain sections. They have much more than fabric: foam/stuffing, trim, and even some furniture. And very helpful staff. Ive come here multiple times over the past several years for different projects and brought my sister today.

Large shop, large clearance section starting at $5 per yard and up. Must have been 8+ employees, all white females and not a single one greets the customers of offers help (you clearly need help in a place like this)When u asked questions it’s like it’s a hassle to answer you, hire some younger more friendly and willing to help employees with a background in customer service so that you could continue having business...

Terrible customer service. They acted like I was an inconvenience by even asking questions. I knew what I wanted and sizes. They asked me to wait for a lady to come back from her break as she was the only one who could help. I walked around looking and waited. When she was back, she was almost annoyed by me wanting prices. It was so bizarre. She said she didnt know how to calculate the prices for the roman shades but maybe could give me a guestimate (I picked out three fabric options with prices and asked what they would run in the sizes I needed). Then they said I needed an appointment to order. I said ok but I had a friend just come pick things and I didnt see that information on your website and I just drove 45 minutes to get here. Can you please just give me a ballpark for cost? She was hesitant but did. Again, these were only guesses because she wasnt sure how to calculate prices. In general, the fabrics were older and a bit dated. Huge disappointment.

Went in to search for a certain fabric, one person gave us help.. went to the area we were directed and it seemed like the person who worked in the area did everything in her power to avoid helping us. But quickly helped another customer who just walked over... and greeted her with a hi may I help you. But avoided eye contact with me.

The employees at Mill Outlet Village provide exceptional service. Terri and Mike at the Raleigh location, in particular, were extremely helpful when we needed to track down a specific fabric for a project. They went above and beyond the normal measures to help us source the fabric we needed!

They have a decent apparel section, larger than most stores but still not huge. Theyre still good quality and reasonable pricing. Primarily special occasion fabrics, although they do have some nice furs. The staff were very friendly and chatty. Loved it.

Im just leaving the store. Came here from Apex off a recommendation for great fabric. I was saddened to see that after 15 min of walking around in a circle, no one bothered to help. They looked at me but not one person spoked. Ill go elsewhere. Plus, the prices are a bit steep.

Busy place but hard to get help. Asked numerous times for assistance and was told Ill be right with you, so I stood in the same place waiting for any of them to return. None of the staff came back to find me. I felt overlooked and unimportant. Finally I wandered around looking for them. Spent an hour waiting and wandering the few rows of upholstery fabric they had.

Hadnt been here in a couple years and forgot how great their selection was. Staff is very helpful..thank you Carol. And they chatted while getting what I needed quickly. Would have given it 5 stars but It took a few minutes for me to find someone to help me(and theres no 4.75 stars). The layout of the store allowed me to find what I want, the colors I want, and the texture of fabric I wanted within 5 minutes.Thanks for being good at what you do.

I got new foam for my couch and I couldnt be happier. I had to leave my cushion there for 2 days but they got the job done and did a fantastic job. They also have a huge selection of fabric if you need to reupholster anything. Knowledgeable staff members and overall a good experience.

Wow I did not purchase anything today, I did notice that they had some really Gorgeous Fabrics and trims. I will be coming back when I bring in some fabric to have some pillows made.

Everything about this store says home and I cannot help but feel at home there, moved by everybody’s kindness and gracious, sweet spirit. I had my couch seat cushions upholstered there and my couch feels brand new and useful once again. They went out of their way to help me and I have nothing but deep gratitude for everybody working there. May the Lord bless that business. May they all prosper and bloom, as they bring home to us.

I went to Mill Outlet for the first time yesterday looking for drapery fabric for our new home. What a wonderful place! The amazing variety of fabrics, trims, and so much more was a wonderful thing to see. The sales people were all friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this store .

I had several cornices made for my new home. My husband just hung them and they look incredible!! The craftsmanship is pristine and the quality of materials are top notch. I love visiting this store -- its eye candy for anyone who loves pattern, texture and color. Another added plus is that their customer service is excellent!!

We went here to have a pillow made, because we knew that they could custom-cut from foam rubber. We had an odd shaped pillow case and the guy who helped us, did a free-handed trace around the pillow case. Then he cut two pieces from foam rubber and they fit perfectly!! Would definitely recommend Mill Outlet Village !

The largest selection of fabric for drapes and upholstery of all seven fabric stores I visited in the Raleigh area. So many beautiful patterns for any taste/decor. They have traditional patterns like florals and chinoiserie and contemporary designs as well. They even have Lilly Pulitzer fabric. It is more upscale than some of the stores off Capital Blvd. You will pay about 3x as much per yard (at least), but the fabrics are of superior quality. They have a wide selection of hardware for window treatments on display. They even have a ribbon and button section. This place seems to have it all.

This store is a fabulous find!! it is the first, and usually the only vendor i use. designers and workroom owners shop there. every time i ve shopped there, all staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and eager to help. prices are much less than other fabric stores or online. the inventory is amazing, anything you need for home decor, and a HUGE selection. its best to go with only 1 or 2 projects in mind. otherwise, you will be distracted by the abundance of beautiful fabrics and trims, and i guarantee you will wander around for hours. if you cannot find a trim you want but know the brand, they can often order it for you. great deals on remnants, often up to 4 yards in one piece. sometimes you get lucky and find several pieces of same fabric so you can walk away with yards and yards of designer fabric at a great price! i have not used their custom made services.

Mill Outlet Village is a huge fabric store with a fantastic selection of all types of fabrics and services. My wife and I were planning to replace the fabric on the seats of our dining room chairs and to put up curtains to match. We found exactly what we wanted for the fabric but also found that they will make the curtains for us at a very reasonable price. And the personal help we received was great. A very good experience!

I visited this evening to get vinyl upholstery for a motorcycle seat. A fellow in the back was cutting foam and asked if we needed help. He went out of his way to provide advice on the best foam, batting, and vinyl to use for our application — also installation tips. Great service and price.

A good place for your fabric heart.

The store has a great selection, but the associates who work there are hit or miss. Several of them seem exasperated if you’re asking them to cut yardage for you. Just spent close to $200 in there and felt like I was bothering the woman working there. While Joann’s Fabric doesn’t have as wide a selection, all the store associates are friendly at least and willingly answer your questions. I’m new to upholstery and sewing and the people at Mill Outlet have either been really helpful or super grouchy and I never know what I’m going to get but it makes me leave thinking I don’t ever want to go back.

Price was ok. Service was lacking. Closing time was 8. I arrived at 5:30 but you would have thought it was 7:59. I asked the guy (nice enough) in the foam department about the vinyl and he directed me toward the upholstery department. One lady was vacuuming and ask if I needed some help without hardly stopping the vacuum. I was looking for some cording and was directed to another lady which showed me one product that was not what I really needed. She then directed me to another to show me some vinyl strapping then pointed me to the cotton cording(piping). I asked a question if they had a plastic version. (Back to the lady that was vacuuming which she had completed but seem like she was leaving- purse in hand) She essential said that is all they had and all I needed. Then never asked how much I may need. My experience felt like I was handed off to people that really had no interest in what I was doing.

Lots of fabric options, prices okay. Far more prints and less brocades and jacquards than in past. In and out of the store without acknowledgment, staff are always in high demand so after we scanned the store twice and couldnt find anything like we wanted we left.

I have NEVER had a good experience here. I waited an hour for the one person in the entire store who could tell me anything about recovering cushions, only to have her say they could not do it. So I ordered fabric to have a professional upholsterer do the work. Mill Village miscalculated the amount of fabric and did not order enough. Now I am waiting 6 weeks for pillows I was told would take 4 weeks. Three strikes - you’re out!

Everytime I go to this store I am told at the cutting counter that someone else was in line before I was. Then one day I went with my white friend. I approached the counter and was told, yet again, that someone else was in line before me. Then my white friend walked up next to me. The counter lady said to my friend, Oh, I didnt know you were with her. Yeah.

I confess that my wife drags me here to Mill Outlet Village at least a couple of times each year to work on her next new project. While it would be easy to complain about spending much quality time in what feels like the worlds largest fabric store, I simply cannot argue with the results that she and her favorite designer, Karen Garmany, produce with every new project. Our house looks pretty amazing as a result of all the upholstery fabric, window treatments and pillows in our home that have been produced by MOV. So it seems the least I can do is invest a few days each year for such outstanding results. Bottom line: Mill Outlet Village is a great place with a bunch of the friendliest, most helpful people I know.

This is a very unusual store with everything made of cloth for the home. Its a bit of a drive up Capitol Blvd. but worth it if you need what they carry. They can even replace the foam rubber in your sofa cushions!

I literally just walked out of the store, the people in there working were relatively helpful to me. However, my partner and I felt slightly judged as we were being helped by this one lady in the upholstery section. Then, as we were walking away from the counter, the ladies behind us (who had been waiting there for a few minutes) stepped up to be helped next. Right as they were walking up, a white lady approached the counter and cut in front of the ladies who waited there turn (who were black) and the white lady who had been helping us said sorry, this lady has been waiting a long time to be helped, so im helping her first. The white lady had JUST walked up to the counter, the black ladies had been waiting longer. Maybe the other lady had been helped previously by the worker but it appreaded like blatant racism to me. I will not be returning.

Don’t go in there asking complicated questions staff will look at your crazy. It was ok I wish staff was nicer.
