I volunteered at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Farm and it was a great experience. They have many commuter l volunteer opportunities and are always looking for help.More importantly is the IFFS mission: creatinga hunger free community. They do this by growing and distributing good to local communities. They also sell what they grow to help fund their continued operations. When I was out there we picked and packed peppers. It was a really rewarding experience.Looking forward to going out there again
Volunteered for a couple of hours. The group did some weeding and then planted asparagus.
Great things is happening here! Theyre working towards ending hunger. Great work everyone👋👋
Great place to volunteer. They do so much for the community, food shelters, the elderly, and so much more. Their produce stand is open Saturdays and is full of a variety of freshly picked vegetables and sometimes farm fresh eggs. They love (and need) volunteers just as much as they love teaching about what they do. Go to their website or give them a call to find out about all they do!
Unfortunately they didnt have eggs when we went (primary reason for the trip) but they did have some other veggies we wanted. Selection was limited but the prices were fair and it supports a really good cause. I will visit again.
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Farm is open! Off Dover Road in Raleigh. Offering fresh vegetables.
Grown on site, fresh veggie stand! These folks do great things for the community!
Great experience; as a volunteer important to be reasonable fit.
For some reason google had this as shut down. It is very much still open and expanded farm and food stand. The label is still wrong - this is the farm and not the business office. And it is tagged wrong, hopefully the edits go through and have notified the interfaith marketing person they need to claim this to prevent malicious edits.
Had an awesome time volunteering here yesterday!
Great people, genuine mission, and purpose!
