It was my first time visiting Norwood nursery, and Ive got to say I was absolutely impressed. The whole drive and he felt like you were driving into Narnia, the property sits on roughly 12 acres of land theres so much to see. The owner Jim was extremely friendly, and took the time to explain in great detail everything we needed to know, and made the process of decorating our backyard absolutely painless. Their prices were very competitive, often cheaper than online nurseries and other local nurseries.Check them out for sure!

What a beautiful and fun afternoon I had at Norwood Road! It is absolutely charming. The people were helpful and showed me where to find the plants I was looking for and they helped me find additional perennials that would work in my space. Thank you, ladies!

This place is totally different now as of today in my mind. Haley one of the landscapers answer the phone when I called to ask about vines for my shade spot in the yard. Not only did she ask lots of questions, she said she would call me back and she did after doing a lot of research. She gave me a list of the best plants. I picked a type and she not only was able to give me a discount but she came over and delivered them and then planted them. I love having this place nearby and knowing that it is now under new ownership run by a strong woman, I will be supporting this nursery from here on out! Amazing job guys I could not have asked for better service.

Decided to stop by one day and discovered that they are significantly making updates to this place. Previously I have went only to find they just have shrubs/trees. Now they seem to carry a very nice variety of flowers and perennials also nice pots. This place is so close to me that I hope they keep updating/ getting more flowers and decor. I would love to go here vs drive all the way out to Homewood . Definitely a place to check out!

Two of the women here were surprisingly short with me. I just stopped in because I was in the area and had been looking for some house plants, so I understand that maybe this business caters to a different kind of clientele. When I entered the store, the first woman to approach me asked “can I help you,” with an impatient tone which I thought I was imagining, so I asked if they had any colorful houseplants, and she just waved her hands around to indicate the interior of the store. I decided to look around the inside at their decor, which seemed interesting and unique, and after a while another woman, who was sitting at a table, snapped at me, “can I HELP YOU?” So I excused myself and left. Outside I immediately saw several plants in the shade that make lovely, colorful houseplants, but at that point I felt chased out so I went to a different garden center. Perhaps this place prefers landscaping clients.

We had them install a patio. Top notch job at significantly less than everyone else who quoted. Couldnt be happier.

I went there on Saturday to buy some plants, and wandeted around for quite some time and never saw an employee to ask any questions. Eventually a couple of people showed up, but never asked us if we needed any help finding anything. That was a bit disappointing. They do have a good selection of perennial shrubs plants at this time.

My friend and myself bought their 50/50 soil for bare spots on our lawn. It turns out that they had wood in it. A lot of wood. So I called and spoke with the lady who answers the phone and of course she got defensive claiming they never had a complaint before. So I emailed the website and made it out to the owner Jim. Havent heard back yet. Well see. Either way, we wasted our money, time, and effort on our lawns that are full of wood covered bald spots. I hope this was just an honest mix up and not a scam to spread out their product.

Unfortunately I had to give at least 1 star in order to post. READ THE REVIEW! I should have read through all of the reviews myself. This place has terrible customer service. The staff working and answering the phone are not educated on material and/or pricing. I called looking specifically for stepper stones and flagstone. The guy that answered the phone stated they had both and were $250 per palette. My husband and I drove further than anticipated with an understanding that we’re would be able to get what we needed for our project. Once we arrived, we found out that they did NOT have stepper stones available. The owner (I presume) tried to act as if I had asked for the wrong thing - perhaps because I’m a female? Since we had driven there, trailer and all, we proceeded to get the flagstone. As the stone was loaded onto the trailer, I went in to pay where I was confronted with another “misinterpretation” as this man states that the stone was NOT $250 per palette but $285. Even when the guy who answered the phone stated he told me $250 on the phone that price was NOT honored, but I was given the option that “I don’t have to buy it”. In retrospect I shouldn’t have given my money to this business, but the stone was loaded and I was just ready to leave this place. They will NEVER get future business from me and I’d highly suggest that if you want to be taken care of as a customer and not degraded, go somewhere else!On a positive note, the gentleman who loaded the stone was very professional and my husband was very happy with how well he loaded the pallets of stone onto his trailer.

I havent actually been, but I called to ask about recommendations for rose care. Having already received an astronomical quote from the spoon, I wanted to shop around. Michael called and said that the spoon is the best, but rose care really isnt that hard. He gave me step by step instructions and product names (and where to buy!) to care for the plants myself. I soooo appreciate the time and help!

Bought 6 shrubs... A bit pricey but better quality than Home Depot or Lowes. Everyone was friendly enough, Id rather shop at a nice local place than a big box store any day of the week.

I found this place to be very unethical. They dont have it posted but, they have a no returns policy. I was willing to live with this as Im generally a pretty go along to get along person but, I felt like everyone just kept telling me what they thought I wanted to hear. If I told them I had shade then the flower does great in shade even though the tag said full sun and when I pointed to the tag theyd say oh those can be wrong. If I said that the flower seemed too big, theyd say how big did you want? and Id respond with 3ft to which theyd say this is perfect even though the tag said 4-5ft. Even my googling supported the claims on the tag. I mentioned this and they said it really depends on the area.They didnt seem trustworthy at all.Not to mention that they treated me with a lot of disrespect once I started asking questions. I live in the area and was very happy to have a neighborhood garden center but, I will not be going back after I heard them talking about me before the door even closed behind me.

Jim & the rest of the staff at Norwood Road Garden have provided me with excellent advice, service and product over the years.Almost everything I have bought from them has grown. I have bought all kinds of shrubs, flowers, herbs & vegetables.Getting dirty is a bit of therapy for me at the moment. Wish I had a master plan for what I am doing, but planting everything and see it grow is enough.I strongly recommend them.

Just left the store. The staff there was awesome. A positive shout out to David for all his help (and patience). Plan to return in the future.

New to area and needed a helpful, trustworthy nursery pro. Met with Jim Roberts, owner, who, after determining what our property was like and what goal my wife and I had in mind, personally sketched possible designs for me, showed me shrubs, trees, and annuals, and got me going with several foundation plants. Would award 10 stars to him and his business if I could! Recommended with no reservations whatsoever.

A nice little spot. Not as big as most garden centers but its in a nice location and the people are awesome. Come loaded with questions, its rare to find a group of people willing and able to answer them all!

Surprisingly bad experience here today trying to buy some shrubs. Older woman at counter was incredibly rude-- i walked in asking for help and she clearly did not want to be bothered. Unfortunate, this place used to be really good. A few years ago i used them for topsoil and shrubs in my yard and they were great. Clearly has gone downhill. Be careful with their pricing too, not everything is marked. Very glad I did not take my family here. They just lost a lot of business. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere

As a DIY-er, I havent been hugely impressed with their prices. They are conveniently located. I have found the staff to be hugely helpful; great resources.

Great place for plants along with crush & run gravel

Not much of a selection. So many of the flowers there were beautiful but looked unkept and seemed like they were dying.

I am so happy that I went with Norwood Road Garden Center for my hardscaping project. I couldn’t ask for a more beautiful result and nicer people to work with. I wanted to get a backyard patio put in. I had a lot of useless space and couldn’t grow grass because of two dogs. There was always mud puddles right by the back porch after it rained. I had 5 different companies come out for estimates and ideas. I approached Norwood first and liked Michael (the co-owner) so much that I asked him to come back as I had more questions when I had more concerns. Michael not only worked with me on designing the large back patio, but he also advised on so much more. Nico and Christian did an amazing and meticulous job laying out the patio. The entire crew was extremely polite, professional, and respectful. I never had to ask anyone to do anything twice for me.Norwood was the only company that included drainage in the job for the best price (many didn’t even want to do any drainage) but, they also were the only company that didn’t scoff at any of the tree roots from neighbors’ trees that were underneath where the new patio would go. We added onto the job (a large front-side retaining wall and zoysia sod for the back) and there were never any problems at all.Michael and his crew are talented, dedicated, professional, courteous, hardworking, and a pleasure to be around. They left my yard in great shape every night and I never had to worry about gates being left open when I let the dogs out when the crew was done for the day. Michael kept me informed the entire time about deliveries and what was expected for each day.I don’t even recognize my backyard, it’s so beautiful. Their price was best and the quality of work was above par. I can’t say enough nice things about Norwood. I did a lot of work researching and vetting out the hardscapers/landscapers, so take my advice and save your time and money and go with Norwood Road Garden Center for your next project. I’m so glad that I did and they will be the first company I call when I want anything else done.

I really like Norwood Nursery, yes, there prices may be somewhat higher than Lowes or Home Depot; but, the staff and their products are exceptional.

This nursery is very unethical. I pre-purchased a delivery of Pine Straw mid week, with a scheduled delivery for Saturday. When they did not show up Saturday and I called. I was told they are out of Pine Straw. When I made my purchase earlier in the week, they informed me they had enough for my purchase. What they did, was sell the Pine Straw I purchased. That is theft in the least. Save your self the trouble, and dont every pre-order anything from them, you may never receive it.

Overpriced compared to competition and rude sales people answering phones, telling potential customers to go somewhere else. Apparently they have enough customers.
