It was a pleasant shopping experience. The butcher at the Ramona, CA location was extremely helpful and went out of his way to answer my questions. The produce and quality of meat is top notch in my opinion and the prices are reasonable compared to other chain supermarkets.

Nice store. Very clean. The employees who are outside of the stereotypical 20s are very attentive, but (and just like many of us were) the kids were treating everyone like root canals. Par for the course for their age (and lets be honest... Regularly kkmm+

This is the SPOT for your groceries in Ramona. Affordable. Personable and focused employees. Simone and Domenik (my checker/checkers asst) made the end of my trip wonderful instead of the usually stressful face to the finish of it. I cant wait to go back!

This is a great grocery store. No club card necessary. They keep their prices lower on their own. Very clean and organized store. The employees are always happy, helpful and very knowledgeable as far as where things are. They do a pretty good job at opening extra check outs when needed. There is also a Wells Fargo inside if you need a bank.

Stater Brothers is obviously not taking the current pandemic seriously. Any mask policies are not enforced, social distancing is non existent. It is very sad to see one of the few businesses immune to closures doing their best to drive up infection rates and keep the rest of us from being able to return to work.Regardless of the canned PR response below, simply hanging up a sign and not bothering to police your staff or customers is not how I would define community responsibility. My review is intended to pass along my experiences to others so they may reach an educated decision regarding which businesses they care to frequent based on a very real safety concern. Prior to my post, I attempted to reach out to Stater Brothers via email and the reply was almost a word for word copy and paste job, please dont be fooled.

In a world full of supercenters, warehouse stores, and big boxes, its refreshing to go to a small town local grocery store. Great meat department, great deli with prepared foods, and plenty of registers open every time. Some canned and dry goods can be a bit more expensive than the big chains, but its a small price to pay to support local business.

As a African-American I really appreciate the hair section they provide.

This is where I go shopping. They have the lowest prices and high quality stuff. Their name brand items are just as good if not better than well known names products. And the employees there are very nice and helpful. They dont mine going out of there way to help you. They always have fresh food. Meats and produce. And they always have bargains. You save a lot of money shopping here.

Ok selection, one of only two grocery stores in Ramona. Both are moderately+ priced. I prefer to drive down the hill where its cheaper.

Meat department is always stocked well and has quality meats.

Very poor social distancing, check out lines were a disaster. People everywhere, less than 6ft apart. Did not feel safe.

Shop here more than Albertsons. I like the meat department here! Lots of options and prices seem to be a smidge better. Lines can be long during peak hours but they move at an acceptable pace.

I love this store! They have great prices and wonderful deals. The whole store is clean everyone had masks on I felt safe and supported.

Its so irritating how I can shop the whole store with no mask!...but when i get to the check stand they cant check me out without one! Yet they grab the mask to give me to use with gloves that have been touching everyones product that they have touched🤷‍♀️ common sense yall. Dont tell me I dont have a choice when its you that doesnt know how to stop germs

I was planning to go there to get sushi but unfortunately the spicy tuna was all gone but we did end up leaving with wonderful fresh deli meat service was great with cashier friendly and smiling with her service

Normally a very nice store, however I was in the store on 08-08-20 and so many of the shelves were empty. Also, being on a fixed monthly food allowance, I find that the prices are just too high. An allowance that should comfortably get me through the month only gets me about two weeks with Stater Brothers current prices.

Selection was lack luster, prices were fair, limes were long. Expect a wait here. Expect good deals on camping supplies if heading up to Julian. My family wont stop anywhere else before desert or camping trips. Last GOOD spot before the hinterland.

I love stater bros for their variety in certain areas. And they do have great prices on meat during the week. The staff is always friendly and never have I had a bad experience with an employee the whole 13 years Ive lived & shopped here. I have been a little disappointed with their lack of cleanliness when it comes to COVID-19, but that is when comparing to other stores where I do see other places frequently wiping areas down in between customers. Ive found it hard to shop there as of lately due to them feeling a bit unorganized distancing wise. I have found myself in more crowds there than anywhere else while shopping. Ex: Albertsons. They have a designated line for people to stand in that involves 6ft distancing by the stickers on the floor and as a line opens, an employee calls a customer to the open line and they clean the belt before you lay your stuff down. Much less crowds and much more organized and clean.

The place to shop in Ramona, best prices and most variety. Except for seafood, fresh flowers, and fresh tortilla chips, beats the other major supermarket in value and quality.

On Saturday August 22nd around 1500 after I paid for my items and was heading out the store an employee was right behind me and locked my cart front left wheel with a remote/FOB looking thing. He then said “I don’t know why it happened” and unlocked the wheel with the FOB and laughed. I don’t know if I was profiled for any reason but rest assure I will never shop at any Stater Bros. ever again.

For a major chain market they are friendly and always ask about the customers family/life. At least they do with me and mine

Usually I like staters for certain things but today I was buying meat from the counter and watching not 1,2,3 but 4 men touching food with no gloves!! Before covid this was a no no and now..?? Wow! I could hardly contain myself as I watched the guy making burger patties then peeling them out of the smasher with his dirty nailed fingertips....so bad!!Albertsons here we come!! They are much cleaner over there!

The store is very clean and the shelves are kept well stocked. Its easy to find what youre looking for and the staff is very helpful if you have any questions. Their checkers (cashiers) are very friendly, professional, tells you about any type of specials you can use to save money. They are great in calling in keeping the lines moving efficiently, calling up more checkers if needed and help direct you to the new checker who will be there soon

I have always had GOOD customer service here!! The store is clean and never dirty. The aisles get tight because it sometimes gets so darn busy but thats ok we all come here for the good deals and good shopping experience! This store refuses to follow mandatory health orders. They have no county health signs up anywhere. The manager makes up lies about handing out masks at the front of their store. They dont even have an employee managing the number of people that go into their store. Which all stores are supposed to do. The manager lies and claims they are doing these things when they are not. The manager also admitted to only caring about money. Instead of the customers. Because if they turned people away. They would loose money. Yet every other grocery store. Which are all essential businesses by the way. Enforce both the state and county health orders regardless.In a week there has been a spike in people getting sick here in Ramona. And its because of stores like this. I dont recommend this store to anybody. Oh, and this store picks through and deletes that bad reviews. To make themselves look better online.

I wish they had visible tags on shelves like Vons does for gluten free products. Make it easier for us with Celiac disease so we dont have to read every package.
