I had made an appointment at the wrong location, but the American Tire Depot in PV, was nice enough to take us anyways, plus the place where we had our appointment wasn’t open yet! Im ashamed to admit that until Luis And his crew provided a complicated service involving extensive suspension and steering repairs for an unimaginably great price I had always given my business to Americas tire. But whats the good of having a warranty with a tire shop that doesnt even offer alignment? They end up just blaming you. But American tire depot does. They dont have a huge selection of tires in stock so you usually have to plan ahead. But they will TAKE CARE OF YOU! Theyll install your tires AND provide an alignment so their warranty actually means something. Great companies are built by hiring and retaining great employees. Luis and his crew go above and beyond the expected customer service experience and deserve your business. Plus theres a bar walking distance and a good pizza joint next door so your wait will fly by.

Amazing customer service. I went in around 4:30 PM knowing that they close at 6 PM however they still helped me with a smile on their face. Out of all of the auto shops and repair shops that I’ve been to in the past, this one seemed honest and straightforward and they weren’t trying to get me to pay for something that was unnecessary. They were prompt, professional and reasonably priced. I would definitely go out of my way to go to this establishment again if I needed to!

I placed my online order Sunday afternoon and was able to make an appointment for the following day. Brought my truck in Monday afternoon and they mounted and balanced two new tires and did an alignment check in a short amount of time. I appreciated the quick and thorough service.

Ray (I believe) was really patient and explored different tire options for my 1998 Prelude that I’m restoring. We found a great set, and the guys in the shop put them on my rims, spin balanced them, installed them with proper torque, and even gave them a little shine on the side. Real pros. They’re running a tight ship there and made short order of the work. The manager was on his game, and handling the implementation of a new process (training!). Good job guys, and THANK YOU! You’ve earned my business. One suggestion: Do alignments. I would have spent another $99 with you instead of the guy down the block.

I go to American Tire Depot not just for Tires but as my regular mechanic as well. The guys at American Tire Depot RPV, CA are an amazing bunch of mechanics, they are four things women have a hard time in finding in a half way decent mechanic. HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, FAIR, and, they dont act like a female is incapable of understanding a modern combustible engine. Most importantly, Eddie, Abel and the rest of the guys are knowledgeable, friendly and stand behind their work. Customer for life!

Very disappointed with the company. I have a problem with my work van. Unfortunately the closest mechanic place I had at the moment was American tire depot. So I got in at 8am and got out at 330pm with out the van because they were just guessing what the problem was. They started to replace parts and nothing fixed the problem. So I left with out the van. Lost my day of work and at the end on Monday they called me telling me they couldnt fox the problem and they think the problem is the injectors and it cost 1600 hundred dollars. I still had to pay them 320 dollars to replace parts that were not necessary to replace. I definitely never used them again. Its unbelievable how a my regular mecanic with just the noise and looking at the problem diagnosed the problem of my van and fixed in about 2 hrs. With a cost of 260 dollars labor and parts. Compare to 1600 they wanted.

Eddie is always amazing, but my recent experience was especially affirming of the service quality. Eddie gave me a quote $700 less than the quote given to me by Pep Boys in Van Nuys and then after towing the car back to his garage, the repair was free as it was still covered under the warranty. Thank you for being so trustworthy!!

The service and price was outstanding. After taking delivery of the tires I wanted from another store late on a Saturday near closing time, I spoke to Mr. Rivera and he said no problem bring the car in. They finished installing all 4 tires in less than 50 min. It was a fine example of customer service that will bring me back as a return customer.

Unfortunately my recent experience here proved to be very disappointing. I have a 2009 VW Beetle and have had alignments and other work done. Recently, I noticed an error message displaying randomly on the dash, the ESP warning light. Also, the coolant warning light came on once. I brought the car in and told Eddie that my car requires a special coolant and cannot use the normal green coolant commonly used in most cars. I left the car with him and 5 minutes later got a call from him stating I had a leak in my radiator that needed to be fixed, and that was why I got the error messages on my dash. The cost was over $900.00.I came back and spoke with Eddie, telling him I would have to wait until the 1st of the month and he offered financing. I declined. Then he poured some coolant into my car and warned me I better get the repair done or I would ruin the engine. The next day I dropped my car off at a service station in Lomita. When I picked it up at the end of the day, the owner told me I did not have any leak in my radiator. He showed me the fluid in the radiator and it looked contaminated. It is supposed to be a pinkish/ purple color. It was a green grey color. He said I needed to have the radiator flushed (not a service at his place) and charged me nothing for the evaluation. I ended up taking my car to a mechanic shop in San Pedro. They agreed, there was no leak in my radiator. They diagnosed the error messages and they were actually related to a couple of broken wires and had nothing to do with the radiator like Eddie had said. They flushed the radiator and put in the correct coolant plus fixed the broken wires. All of this for less than half of what I was quoted for unneeded work at American Tire Depot.What really bothers me about this recent experience is this. Eddie did not listen to me. I specifically told him about the coolant requirements yet he put the wrong coolant in and made an assumption about the error messages. This has really caused me to lose faith and I have been a customer for a while. I am giving 2 stars because the guys that do the work here are really nice and professional. They will remove an object stuck in your tire for free. But this recent misdiagnosis could have cost me almost a grand and still not solved my problem or even worse ruined my engine permanently. Probably will not be returning in the future.UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST- Based on the public response to my review that I received from American Tire Depot, I contacted the District Manager for this location. I provided the receipt showing the work I had to pay for because of American Tire Depot putting the incorrect coolant in my car as well as the section of my car manual stating specifically what coolant must be used. The district manager assured me that the company would make it good, in short reimburse me for the portion of the bill that represents the cost to flush the radiator. I followed up with him numerous times and was told that their compliance department would contact me within a few days. That was over two weeks ago. My last inquiry to the district manager remains unanswered. It appears that their initial response to my review, posted online, which seemed sincerely concerned was NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. This just added insult to injury. Its too bad for American Tire Depot because they lose not just my business, but my friends business as well. Between the two of us, it represents thousands of dollars in services that we will get done somewhere else. Because of the lack of response from management, I also changed the original rating from 2 stars to 1. Very unhappy

2nd time I have bought tires here. They had in stock what I needed the 1st time and ordered what I needed this last time, came in next morning. They are fast and efficient and reasonable prices. There is just one thing that they should improve on, their customer service skills. I get that they are mechanics and most probably prefer not to deal with customers, but those that have to should at least smile and acknowledge the customer & immediately stop playing the game on your phone instead of making the customer wait until you loose your turn. Just a thought.

How does a tire shop have only 1 tire guy ? I went in to get a nail removed and get the tire plugged, normally a 10-15 minute job. And the guy at the register said he sent his “tire guy “ to Santa Fe springs to pick up a tire..... if you have only 1 tire guy why are you making him the gofor ? Complete incompetence on their part. It’s to bad the shop changed owners used to be much better.

I trusted this group of mechanics so much, they always helping me with my car the best way possible and so far never had a problem with their work. Very respectful and honest mechanics. I don’t go anywhere else if I have any problem with my car. My first choice ever.
