What a great experience!Was contacted by Greg after inquiring about Tundra limited that dealership had .All my questions were answered and set appointment for Saturday after work .Greg had informed me that if he wasn’t there that Techlo would help me, which he did a great job of and answered my questions that I had .And then worked with Otto in finance even though I had financing through my credit union he attempted to get me a better rate which he couldn’t (2.29%rate cu)but he it was still a pleasure to do the paperwork with him . Even had the opportunity to meet Robin the general manager, what a great asset to your dealership.
Luis Vargas was terrific, he knows his stuff, wasn’t a hard sell, listened, he explained the advantages of the 2022 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 sport premier, took a great deal of time to explain fall the features. We were very impressed with this dealership. I’ve purchased 6 vehicles and have never left feeling good about the experience start to finish, until my experience with the team here at Santa Margarita. Made deal over the phone from Arizona, drove over night and everything was as promised when we arrived. Gave us a good price for our trade in. There was confusion with sales tax as if differs from state to state, they did everything they could and made it right for us. It wasn’t just one good guy there, the entire team is genuine. Hands down the best car/truck buying experience Ive had! I bought a new Tundra yesterday, 9/11/2021. This was a no pressure, fully transparent process with Techlo and Otto. I was stoked to learn that both of them are Marine veterans as well, and combined with the family owned elements of this dealership it was the perfect balance of professionalism and integrity. Just pick up a new 2022 4Runner for my parents. Note that the price for a 4Runner will be hard to negotiate due to high demand. They helped me with all the questions I have. Super supportive for military personnel. The product specialist, who helped me, let me try out all of the functions of the vehicle. The finance specialist get the paper works done very fast. Last but not least, the sale manager got me the best interest that I want.
My experience was a good one. I was greeted quickly by service employee, Nicole. She was friendly and very communicative. She also scheduled my ride back to pick my car up within my lunch window. Wow....What a Bait and switch sales move. Very fake and deceptive dealer. Talk about unethical.I was provided an out the door price via phone conversation, text and email. I still have the so called desk write up, but at time of signing was given another sale price. I tried to contact the sales manager, but nowhere to be found. Left him several messages, I even replied to one of his emails. When I got the chance to talk to the finance guy, beware of Daniel...what an arrogant and unfriendly guy...dude you need a chill pill. I left Daniel a voice mail, but he didnt return any calls...I had to track him down. He didnt care if we bought the car or not, he was If your not happy with the deal you dont have to buy the car. Really guy, I had the sale price in writing and you guys came out with a far out story about the sales tax....you had the address when the credit was run....why didnt you say anything then about the sale price. What was the purpose in getting all my info to give me an out the door price, if your going to change it at signing. Then I was told the car would be delivered and then they pull a fast one and charge us $100 to deliver the car.Horrible customer service and not happy with sales tactics. Buyers beware....dont say you havent been warned.From what Ive heard this is not the first time....so if you have money to give away and like being taken advantage of, enjoy.

I have to admit that my car buying experience at Santa Margarita Toyota was so pleasurable!! It was hassle-free & no haggling back and forth. I thought I would need to negotiate with Rob but not needed. I told him what I have and what I could do and it was no problem. 😁Rob Taylor was so helpful and very patient with me and no pressure. I felt very at ease with him and he explained things to me very simply and was very knowledgeable about the car I wanted to purchase. Jim was kind and professional the whole time! I had bad experiences with dealers in San Diego, but the price and customer service made it worth it to drive up to Santa Margarita. In San Diego, one dealer tried to sell me a base model Prius ($25k value) for over $38k! I was super happy to find a place that not only doesn’t upsell, but listens to my questions and actively works to make a compromise. Jim was really patient and helpful, and Richard made the process of buying extremely easy! I ended up with a vehicle I love at MSRP value and I couldn’t be happier. :)Also, they’re dog friendly!
We had a tremendous experience buying our new Rav 4 Prime - (R4P). The motto of Santa Margarita Toyota (SMT) is “We Get It” - and they live up to it. We first met Mahan in July and told him we were interested in the R4P XSE, in the SuperSonic Red color. Mahan told us that they have a great associate, Karen, and if we give them some time SMT would requisition and get us the color and premium package. Other Toyota dealers we visited before and even after SMT wouldn’t even try and simply said we can’t get the Supersonic Red R4P. We said that we would like to buy it in October as we were traveling some of the summer. Yesterday, we took delivery of exactly what we told Mahan we wanted. Mahan kept us informed along the way and was the most pleasant and professional car sales representative we have ever dealt with. Thanks Mahan and SMT - for your above and beyond “We Get It” service.
1st 6-month service: friendly service advisor Robert, expected to wait a couple of hours but service was completed early. Only negative: service centers for other manufacturers provide a free car wash.

Great service, Thomas was great and didn’t charge me anything when his tech didn’t find anything wrong with my vehicle. The tech even took me for a test drive to ensure nothing was wrong with the vehicle. No charge and even did brake and tire inspection to provide recommendations.

She was great at locating and securing the vehicle from another dealership, brand new! When the time came to purchase I ultimately decided on a new Camry. I was very pleased with my experience at Toyota of Rancho Santa Margarita. My salesman, Greg, was not a high pressured salesman—I was able to test drive a few vehicles and he even moved a vehicle from the show room to allow me to test drive it. After 3 days of car shopping at different dealerships and test driving other makes and models, we finally decided to buy the 2021 Highlander Limited. We decided to go back to Toyota of Rsm (one stop shop dealership) and very happy with the staff that we dealt with…from our salesman (Greg) to Otto, in Finance. Also, a big shout out to Nick (internet sales) and Mahan (sales) who helped tremendously in setting up my apple play and teaching me the many features on my vehicle. Best buying experience EVER, no other dealership Ive been to has been the definition of no pressure sales. The Sales Manager (Robin) and my salesman Jim were knowledgeable and at no time did I ever feel pressured during the process. I got there at 715pm and was driving home at 955pm. Thanks for the best car buying experience bar none.This dealerships owner knows how to build a customer base and KEEP it thru an awesome business model and employees who carry it out. For years, I’ve had great experience in the service department here, but this year, in April, we purchased a new RAV4 hybrid. The sales guy was very young, but was very helpful. Everything was going great until we hit the finance office, and met Otto Jimenez. His job to handle the paperwork and try to sell us on extras that benefit the dealership and Toyota and him. I don’t have a problem with this because that’s how business works. Where I run into a problem is when the salesman/finance manager uses high-pressure sales tactics and tries to shame you for rejecting his offer. When I rejected the pre-purchased maintenance plan he informed me that wasn’t a great financial idea, that I was losing out on a bunch of money. I told him this was my preference and he reminded me that this was a bad idea. Things got the worst when I rejected the extra warranty that took the car far past the basic 36,000 mile three-year warranty as he became what appeared personally offended and really escalated his gloom and doom sales tactics. He began to tell me about all the amazing technology in my new Toyota that would fail. He illustrated just how expensive it would be to replace the computer and the head unit and on and on and on. At one point I had to sit back and ask him, “are you trying to convince me not to buy this Toyota, because you’re doing a great job at it?” In 25 years, this was the worst finance office experience I’ve ever had, and it really lines up with the slimy car dealer stereotype all too well.

He was pleasant and very knowledgeable. He took us through the whole buying process. We were never pressured .We felt comfortable in buying the car.We were introduced to Otto Jimenez (finance manager) to go through the finance paperwork. He also was a true professional and also a nice guy. He felt like someone who was honest and we could trust.After we finished the paperwork we were showed the car with Daniel for a final look. He went through every detail of the car and explained everything .He answered all our questions.It appears to me that RSM Toyota is a very well run dealership and I would recommend them to anyone.

Service department broke my car, when I brought it in for a recall. Then the service tech barely acknowledged the mistake and no one in Management reached out, even after I called and emailed multiply times. They have lost my business and I will go to Irving Toyota from now on.

This arrangement allows buyers to escape the typical high-pressure, let-me-check-with-my-manager baloney that is common at other car dealerships. The process of buying my car was impressively efficient, and everyone I encountered was friendly and pleasant! With how hard it is to find a car right now, Toyota RSM was the best. They reached out to my mom and helped her out from beginning to end. Sanders was so polite and helpful with every step. From introducing the car, the test drive, setting up the Toyota app, and showing my mom all the new specs in the car and how to use it. He was so so patient. Vinny and Halston were also able to help my mom with the best pricing for my mom. I would highly recommend coming to Toyota RSM. Worth the travel from LA county. And the best part?! They rolled out a red carpet and had a bow on the car as we were walking out. Such a sweet touch.

What a refreshingly honest and straightforward car buying experience! I submitted an email quote request on a 2021 RAV4 Prime to about 10 different SoCal Toyota dealerships. I detailed exactly what I was looking for with options and an extended warranty, and asked for an out-the-door bottom line quote. All of them hemmed and hawed on getting me concrete numbers, and most were marking up $7-15k. This is the hottest selling Toyota out there right now, so I can understand a small market value adjustment, but $15,000? Alex got back to me with a solid quote detailing *everything*, and they were marking up only $2.5k. Santa Margaritas salespeople do NOT work on commission, and they fully detail every penny of their price right on their website. Its amazing! After emailing and texting back and forth for only a couple hours, we had completely nailed down a fantastic deal on exactly what I wanted. They gave me more than fair value on my trade-in and really took care of me. I was able to email Alex a lot of my paperwork beforehand so they were ready for me the next morning. Alex, Aaron, and Otto got me in and out within 2 hours. I have *never* had a car buying experience this easy and honest. They are the BEST!

Incompetent...Paid over a thousand to repair a no start condition in a company vehicle. A few days after the repairs were made, the vehicle would not start. We were told that now the vehicle needed a new starter. Took it to another Toyota dealer only to find out a ground needed to be cleaned. This was done for one hour of labor which is fair enough.
I was looking for a particular 4Runner, but because of the high demand and shortage of 4Runners, I could not find anyone that had one on their lot. I literally emailed all Southern California dealerships requesting to be put on list to be called when and if anyone received a 4Runner. Most dealers tried to pull a fast one, had me drive to their dealership and give me empty promises. Except Santa Margarita Toyota! Look no further: SANTA MARGARITA TOYOTA IS THE PLACE TO GO!I was fortunate to have had a GREAT SALES PERSON that received my email and called me on the phone not by text to introduce himself! That sales person was Jim Bigelow. He informed me that he would call me to let me know if and when any 4Runners would arrive on his lot. Folks, that is exactly what he did, the moment they landed on their lot. I received a call and drove 64 miles!Let’s just say, with his honesty, expertise in the CAR WORLD, I WALKED AWAY WITH A BRAND NEW 4x4, 3rd row seat, with a SUNROOF, 2021 TOYOTA SR5 PREMIUM!Jim went above and beyond customer service. He provided excellent communication skills and did not give me false hope or expectations that he would not be able to deliver. You don’t find sales people like that now a days. I cannot say enough great things about this dealer and the people working there. I brought my girlfriend and my parents on separate occasions to purchase a Corolla Hatchback and a RAV4 and now I came to purchase my own Tacoma. I have always dealt with Alex Bricker, and have had the easiest time purchasing vehicles from him. After my 2005 RAV4 died just under 200,000 miles, I was discouraged. I went to Santa Margarita Toyota unsure of what my next car might be. Sanders Woodall assisted me but I have to admit that I wasn’t prepared. His calm, honest and poised approach made me feel comfortable and I began to seriously consider options. There were some good choices but he could tell they weren’t quite right. However, he knew there was a vehicle coming in that might be the one. Sure enough he was 100% correct. I recently bought my 2019 Toyota 4-Runner from Santa Margarita Toyota through an online transaction on 4/15/21. I worked exclusively with Ron Moussavi for this transaction. It was so refreshing to do business with a dealership that provided such a great buying experience. We called the dealership about 2 hours before they closed. We were looking for a specific model and color. Daniel took the time to check inventory and insure that they had it in stock and also took the time to call their inventory manager after hours to make sure that it was not allocated to someone else. That told us that it wasnt just about the sale or a first come, first serve mentality. As a small business owner providing the same products that thousand of others provide, the only thing that separates us is the customer service that comes with doing business with us. If you’re in the market, this is definitely a dealership I recommend. I was looking for a vehicle online and some prices were too good to be true (they really were). Then I stumbled upon Santa Margarita Toyota. They post honest, upfront pricing that doesn’t change once you go in to the store. My car buying experience was not what I expected. Alexandra helped us and she was professional and kind. They had the vehicle ready for the test drive and filling out the paper work was easy. She didn’t try to add unnecessary add-ons. This is an amazing dealership. I went in by myself to buy a car. As a female, that can be very intimidating. Cody was the sales associate and he was honest, kind and genuinely helped me. I met the owner and he shared the goal of the dealership was to be honest, fair and not take advantage of people. (As I had shared with him my last experience buying a car at a dealership) The finance associate was Otto and he hooked me up. He explained everything so clear and never pushed me to buy anything.
