My car was towed to Billion kia on June 25th for an engine replacement under warranty. I still dont have it back. I finally got a loaner car last week, after 4 months, which is all I ever wanted. I understand it may take a long time to get parts but how can you expect someone to go without a car for that amount of time. Today I got a call that my car needs a new battery and it would cost $150. I explained that the battery was fine when it was towed there and that they should cover the cost. I was forwarded to a sales manager named Jack who told me it wasnt their fault and how theyre doing me a favor by installing it for free. He told me that I was putting miles on HIS loaner that he could be selling. He was very rude and after arguing I asked to talk to the general manager . Jack told me he wasnt there so I asked for a call back and Jack said I can have him call you but hes not going to pay for it either Ill make sure of that. I didnt ask for this to happen and cant belive this is how they treat their customers. This is by far the worst experience Ive ever had with car dealer.

The worse customer service. Didn’t mention extra fees at any point, a $1000 delivery fee and made me pay $1700 for their Valpro warranty which covers absolutely no mechanical issues. They said the bank would not finance without it. Which was probably a lie. When I asked the salesman John Lipp about it he says well trucks cost money to ship. I told him, Yeah but you guys drove it up here. Which was evident from all the bugs on the front. He then says yeah but it still costs money. So he tried lying and then tried covering his foot steps when called out. So they put almost 700 miles on my car driving it here and yet wanted me to pay a shipping fee. When I refused to pay the $1000 the finance manager simply says “we will just sell it to someone else.” I walked out angry. After calling back they agreed to take off $500 since the shipping fee was never mentioned. At this point part of my deposit had already been processed to return to my card but had not posted back to my account. So I told them I would pay it once I got my paperwork for registration. Instead they waited a week and just pulled it from my account without permission or so much as even a phone call. I also tried buying my daughters car through the rapid city office two years prior and it was a nightmare as well. They told me just to call Sioux Falls Billion if I didn’t like the vehicles Rapid City was offering. No problem, I called them and they personally drove it up a few days later with no delivery fees at all. So Sioux Falls is amazing and Rapid City should probably replace their entire staff.

Exceptional. Im in Texas, and I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. This was the first time Ive bought a vehicle from out of state. But they had the truck I wanted, so I reached out. Test drove a 10 year old car the salesman said had been traded in over the weekend. Asked for a Carfax. It was fine, but it was for the wrong car. With the right one in hand, finally, he said the car had an old salvage title. Carfax said it had a salvage and then...had been totalled by insurance companies twice later. Can you trust anything they say on behalf of the company?

My 18 yrs old daughter was able to buy her first car that was perfect for her. Gage and Marcus really listened to what she needed as far as payments and helped her find a reliable car. There was no pressure. The awesome part, she was a first time buyer and they took the time to make sure she understood the process. They told her what to expect when it comes to registration and the monthly payments. They worked with her on getting down payment together. They worked out a deal so good that her car payments are lower than her insurance payments 😄. Happy teenager/young adult=proud parents.

Very dishonest. Unfortunately they lost a repeat customer. I had my brand new transmission done by them and had great experiences. This time i recieved an oil change and expressed concern for a sound my vehicle was making. Without prefacing the diagnostics charge, they performed a full diagnosis which added an extra $160 to the price of the oil change (which was already expensive for the fact that it’s the dealership). I never was explained this fee until afterwards and the assistant manager was not willing to hear me out. I was met with the most condescending man i may have ever interacted with. Thanks Jared.

One of the absolute worst dealerships in Rapid City. They sold me a lemon that started falling apart within days of getting it home. It had no spare tire, and when I tried to get one from them, the hoops I had to jump through were exhausting. Its been a month and they still havent gotten me the spare or the inflation kit the car was supposed to come with.They can boast that they have some of the most dishonest salesman in the area. My wife was the one who bought the vehicle, and their salesman saw are coming. She got charged high Blue book for a vehicle in incredibly poor repair. The seats had cigarette burns and knife cuts on them, and the vehicle was dented and rusted.If you do visit this location, do not speak to John Lipp. Hes awful. Without a doubt some of the worst customer service Ive ever gotten.

I am in complete disgust. Took a Kia sportage in there to get an oil change. Off-handedly asked if they could check the car out. Went to pick it up they charged $160 for diagnostics. (On top of that, the quote they gave was nearly $2,000 for work that was quoted under $900 from two other shops). You clowns should be ashamed.

It’s pretty bad when you try and call numerous times and NOBODY answers the phone!!! I sure hope when I fly up there with my son they have the time to even talk to us. If you don’t have enough employees to answer the phone makes you wonder what kind of sales department they have. I don’t give car salesmen my number because they won’t stop calling you and that’s not how I do business.

One of the triplets, my daughter has been wanting a different car so we researched her options. Looked at her credit score and income to determine her debt to income ratio to calculate affordability. We went to visit KIA this morning. Met Andrew Morales who worked with her and then we met Mark who found financing for her. My daughter drove away in a 2020 KIA Rio!! OMG! I had a very good experience with the purchase of my new car. Gordon, my salesperson, was perfect for me. He wasnt pushy and simply asked me questions about what I was looking for. We took a look around the lot and I was very impressed on how he could tell me the different features on all the cars we looked at. Then went further to look up answers for the questions I had. After looking at a few he figured out what would be good for me and showed me a few I wasnt even looking at online. He was right on the money. I love this car!! I got an amazing warranty on a low mileage vehicle! Definite bonus. Marc in financing number crunched to come up with good payments and a good interest rate for me. I dread car shopping and these guys made it almost effortless. I would strongly recommend them if your looking for a new car!

I went here about a year ago looking for a used truck. I ended up buying a 2014 Silverado. It had high miles, which I didnt mind, because I really liked it. It had a check engine light on. The salesman said they would pull it in their shop, diagnose, and fix the issue. They must have just cleared the engine code, because a week later, it came back on. Come to find out, it needed a new set of injectors. I think they just told me what I wanted to hear, just to get that truck off their lot. I think they are dishonest, and dont care much about the customer. I wont be going back.

Did not appreciate this dealership. Their numbers were inconsistent. I asked questions to be sure Im getting the best deal and they didnt like it. They made me a deal and I asked to think about it and Id get back with them. They said theyd honor the deal and that theyd work with me, well that was not the case. All dealerships care about is making money. They tried to deduced money from my trade in lease if I didnt Purchase their Valpro warranty. Additional Warranties are always optional and should never be forced on anyone. Their sales person zachary thompson was not respectful nor was he good at communicating the terms. I wouldnt trust this place already had a bad experience. I want honesty in the car world not for them to take advantage.

These guys installed a brand new turbo into my KIA. It was an extremely expensive part over 2,000 dollars. We argued over my Allstate engine warranty which they claimed they could not except because they did not have a contract with Allstate (I have the contract with Allstate). All they had to do was call a number I provided and explain the repairs which they eventually did after a phone yelling match. They at first said the repair would take 2 days then 3 days, but it ended up taking 4 which is whatever they had to order the part from Chicago. Upon leaving the car seemed fine though not 100%. I dont drive my car for work so I maybe drove it 6 days. I am now only a month later at a different KIA dealership with turbo issues. The mechanics at this KIA now need to take out my entire turbo to reattach exhaust pipes and tighten loose bolts. I tried reaching back out to Billion Kia in Rapid City and was told it was impossible that their repair could have been faulty and they accepted none of the blame for the current issue I have. I excepted them to help resolve or even take some accountability for the current issues I am having. Overall my experience here was garbage and I am still awestruck as to how poorly these guys handle both their cars and customers.

I’ve had my Jeep for 17 months now. I worked with Jack Robinson. He was amazing and extremely helpful. He was able to help me get into a new vehicle and the process was amazing. I want to give a huge shout out to Jack for being respectful, attentive and professional. I recently went to Beck Motors to do a possible trade unfortunately the BM was rude and short with us. We went to Billion Kia for the selection we found online. We were greeted and introduced to Jack Robinson. He was friendly, listened to what we were needing and our price range. Our car buying experience with Jack was amazing! He showed us the cars we wanted to look at and some that he felt were a good fit. He was kind and personable and made the test drives fun! And he wasn’t too mad when I did a curb check (or two)! He was knowledgeable about all the cars and their features. He was patient and thoughtful when we were making our choice. He was very detailed on the information he was giving to us. We found the perfect car for me (which my husband has barely let me drive, he is obsessed) he made the paperwork as easy as possible. We were anticipating it being a whole day process, but honestly we were out in just a few hours! I have to say that Jack and the whole crew at Billion Kia were amazing! We found the right car for the right price and we are loving it! We will definitely be back to buy another car from them when the next kid starts driving!

Bought my mom a used Optima with 17k miles. In less than 1 year it has been in for warranty work 4 times for the same problem. Technicians in service dept state it needs a new motor but techline will not authorize the repairs. So they reset the computer and off we go. Within a month check engine light will come on and the car will go into limp mode not allowing you to go over 1500 rpm -back to the shop. Took it to KIA escalations department who states they can do nothing until it happens again. Its happened 4 times, why would I possibly need to wait until it happens again? The Optima got decent reviews online when we bought the car, but after this experience, no one in my family will ever own a KIA again. All departments are very apologetic that we are having such issues, but no one can do anything about it? 60k warranty doesnt mean much when they dont fix the problem and you cant trust the car to leave town.

Jack Robinson sold me two vehicles (one new and one used) at a price that worked for us. He was not in a hurry to get us in and out of his office. Jack was very patient, understanding, caring and put us first. He still to this day has remained in contact to see how we are doing and how our vehicles are. Jerid Maskovich, the service advisor, at the service desk was very rude when we arrived with a battery issue today! Our newly purchased Kia Sedona is under bumper to bumper warranty...Kia dealerships are supposed to honor the warranty nationwide. They not only refused to honor the warranty and replace our battery but they cursed and hung up on the dealership where we bought the car. Stay away from this location!

Luckily, I was financed through my own bank as they mustve been in their system or something - anyway, Mark Thompson was very friendly and helped my mom and I understand what we were getting into. They definitely only schmooze you until you buy a car. I bought the extra warranty to get dents fixed and holes in my seat fixed for free. I went in to get a small hole in my seat fixed and the guy at the service counter was beyond rude, treating me like Im stupid. He took pictures and told me I would get a call within a week. 5 weeks later I finally get the call and then another week of trying to call the guy back before he answered. The guy who fixed my seat ended up being very friendly. Hes just hard to get a hold of.I have a dent in my door that I would love to get fixed but I dont want to deal with the horrible customer service at Kia again.On a side note, the salesman were great. And the guy who sells me my filters at the parts window is always super friendly and personable. They just really need to rethink their service department.

Being the new car buyer I am I recently bought a 2008 impala with 120000 miles on it. Knowing I am new to the whole deal, I asked my sales man what all needed to be fixed or what was wrong with it. Of course I got the run around and nothing really got spoken about it needed a new tire, the sales man insured me it had all new tires. I test drove the car every thing seemed fine everything ran fine at the time. I bought the car and ended up having to get all new oil gaskets/tires/and new brakes after not even having the car for 2 months. I’m upset with the service I got at billion auto I didn’t get a discount or any kind of assurance for the amount I paid for this car. I asked what was wrong with the car and what needed to be fixed and got told nothing. Here I am almost another $3,000 into the car on top of the $6000 I paid for it. I’m upset because I knowingly paid more than I wanted for this car because I felt I could trust these people. Turns out I can’t and I’m out $9000 for a car worth $4,500.

Avoid this service department if at all possible! After my car broke down while in Rapid City from out of town, I had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with Alan while having warranty work done. The lack of customer service I received ranged from sarcasm to lack of communication and follow up. The cherry on top, when my car was returned to me, the battery (only a year old) was dead, and a piece of the air intake duct was sitting in my back seat!When my car was returned to the Kia service department in my hometown, I had the opposite experience - they picked up where Billion slacked. They were attentive, and I think I received more phone calls with updates in one day than I ever did from Billion. What a contrast!Unfortunately, if you have warranty work to be done by Kia in the Rapid area, you really have no other option - that’s where lack of competition gets you. Good luck!!

I bought a Dodge Dart from Billion on Dec. 09 2017 a week after I bought it the cruise control quit working so I called they told me they would have to order the part which they said it was on back order and it wouldnt cost me anything. I have been calling every month to see if the part is in yet and they keep tell me a new date for the part to be in. It has now been 5 months and still no cruise control☹ Also when I bought the car I got only one set of keys which of course I didnt know that until after I signed the papers it will cost me $300 just to get another set you would think that buying a $14,000 car you would get two sets. I was also told that I had to get the 360 spray which was $1797.00 in order to get a loan for the car which Is weird cause I have good credit so I feel I have been taken advantage of since Im a single women. I have never been so upset with a dealership like this before☹ Jacqueline

I have been in the KIA family of purchasing cars since 2009. Started off in Cheyenne, WY with a great team there. Anywhere I serviced my 2009 Borrego I never seem to have nothing but friendliness. So it was not to surprise when I went to purchase another vehicle I would check out my local KIA dealership (Billion Rapid City). I could not pass up my fully loaded 2020 Sportage, love all the safe features it has!! This is the thing anyone can tell you they have a great service plan AND bumper to bumper no questions asked when you are purchasing their product. BUT I have had the experience it to be true with KIA. Jack Robinson might not of been our sales rep. and was in finance closing the deal.. but that is the place you really need them HONEST and CLEAR when you sign that dotted line. Jack is honest, speaks down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable, understanding, realistic and understanding with genuine caring. And walking out is the NOT the end of this loyalty either. There have been some concerns I have had with my new KIA and his over dedication to make the customer happy is what I wish we could everywhere I shop in the US. Even if it is not his department Jack gets things moving and DONE and quickly. Now I am MUCH older than Jack and he is just a kid to us but he has old fashioned ethics and customer service in a young mans heart and soul. I have been to a few of the car dealerships here in South Dakota, but Billion is probably by far the worst. Not only the Billion Kia here in Rapid City, but also the Billion Toyota in Sioux Falls. To be honest I think it would be in their best interest to take a course on customer service. This is my 3rd time dealing with this company and its a joke. Ive been lied to or told the wrong information 3 times in the past week.. I spoke to a sales consultant today and even he admitted people have opinions like mine about Billion. I even asked to speak with a manager twice. I gave them my name and number, I never received a call back either time I asked. I would seriously think about doing your business elsewhere.

Would be a much higher rate however my experience with the service section brought it done. I recently purchased a 2014 f 150 and had a great experience with the sales department. However the day after I realized that the fm radio in the truck did not pick up any stations. I was already scheduled to bring my track back for preventive maintenance. So I made contact with the salesman and was told he would tell the service department. When I dropped my vehicle off and reminded them about the radio I was told this was first they had heard of it. I received a call at 530 that night after dropping my truck of at 8 am that they needed to keep my truck another day to run some more test. The next day I called at 5pm and was again told they would really like to keep it one more day. When I asked if they knew what the problem was I was told they have idea but have not had the time to look at it due to other appointments they had. I do not like being told an issue will be taken care of and then treated like my vehicle is a side hobby for the service staff. And to make it even better I was told they couldnt test to see if it was the antenna because they didnt have any other f150s on the lot..yet when I picked up truck salesman took me right to a truck same model as mine. I got more of an attempt from the salesman then service

Bought a car from these guys in June and they did a good job getting us in something reliable that met our needs and budget. Just got a second car from them after mine went belly up. Have had it a week and we had expressed concern about a noise we heard, but was told it could be from the car sitting on the lot. Tired and exhausted because we were needing a second car and had been without a car for a week already we didnt get a second look at it. Today is a week into having it and we took it to our shop and found out it needs some more work and the point of financing was to not have a lot of work on a car right away. They have agreed to look at it and I hope that they will make it right. It has a power train warranty, but there are also other items that are not covered under that. The manager Erik had assured us up and down he had no concerns of the car having issued right away since they had the car for 5 months and their mechanic had done work on it. We will update review once we get the issue resolved. I like giving good reviews and hope I can change the rating to a higher score. We expect a used car to have some issues, but not this many for a car they have had so long.Update: Erik talked with my husband today and they gave us a loaner car. He also told my husband they put one of their more experienced mechanics on the job and are fixing the issues our mechanic found free of charge. They are doing the right thing! Will post new update and hopefully add 2 more stars once all is said and done! :)Next update: took over a weekend, but the guys at Billion fixed every thing our mechanic said was wrong and made another check to make sure all was good. (I hope) no cost to us! Reason for the 4 stars is because we should not have had an issue to start with if the job had been done right the first time.

Sold me a brand new kia but when i needed the paint fix because of rust spots they fixed the one in house then when more appeared I contacted kia and billion never reported the first rust spots! They don’t want to work with you at all to fix the problem! Now here I sit with a 600 dollar car payment on a car with rust and still own 28,000 on!! I highly encourage to find another dealership!

My family has bought 5 cars from them, I am a younger buyer, they gave me the run around and made every excuse ever to keep me in a used damaged car. HOWEVER I went to every other name brand dealer and they all offered me NEW SUVS and CARS for half the APR and cheaper payments. I am very disappointed in KIA and I will never buy from them again.

Id give a zero if possible. Originally from out of state where I had two fantastic service departments, moved out here and beyond disappointed. Ive had two recalls on my car and a faulty oil pan gasket. Trying since this past January to get in with them to get all this handled. Never get a call back when I leave a message finally after 11 months reached some one who scheduled it today, only to get a call trying to find any possible reason for them to not work on it. I told him Ill just leave it and have them call when they start working on it if for some reason the work wont be covered. Finally called back to say that I dont actually have a warranty on it even though I am the original owner and only have had it for 6 years. Going to file a formal complaint. I have never had such a terrible service center in my years of owning a car and working with a rental agency. Im so disappointed that I cannot bring myself to own another Kia product while I live in this area.

Who sells a car without a spare tire and a spare key? I had to pay $50.00 for a spare key and we were never told about no spare tire. This is called misrepresentation. A customer should be told about all of this. I would never have let my daughter purchase a vehicle from them had I known all of this. When I called about a spare key, I was told it would be $70.00. The car was purchased there so they should have made one for free. I will do my best to encourage people to NEVER buy a vehicle from this dealership. Now (6-1-16), my daughter has to purchase another tire for $200.00 so she can have a spare so she feels safe driving while moving to another state. Billion Auto sucks.

Its a car dealership... what more do you need to say. That being the case though, they are not bad. The wife and I are currently in the market for a new car and they have one that is in the top 3 spots we have narrowed down to. They have not been push or tried to use any kind of high pressure sales tactics on us. I walked straight out of one dealership for doing this and will never go back. All in all though so far they have been good to work with as no one really likes the process of getting their new car, but the they do like the new car its self.

Id never do business with these people. We recently declared bankruptcy. Once it was over and done with we started getting letters in the mail from Billion Auto trying to get us to buy a car, telling us its the best way to reestablish credit.The very fact that they have somebody dig up bankruptcy records and then approach people who have filed is extremely predatory. If they will prey on people with bad credit in this way what else would they do? At the very least their approach is tacky.
