I purchased tires and had a flat repair, asked for all tires to be set at 45psi. Well I have tires inflated anywhere from 27psi to 50. And not one valve cap on any tire they touched. Very disappointing, I worked in the tire industry years ago and would have been fired if I sent a vehicle out like that. I will encourage you to try someplace else.

Our pop-up camper experienced a blow out just south of Raton and we had already used our spare tire earlier on the trip. Victor at JM Tire was extremely helpful. He went out of his way to search around for a rim, towed our camper in a timely manner, and they were able to get everything taken care of in about 2 hours at a very reasonable rate. We broke down 20 miles out of Raton and Tristan towed us to their shop in the late afternoon. We arrived to late to haveUjoint repaired but Victor and the other Management allowed us to stay in parking area even allowing Ito plug our RV in. I finished changing a blow out with a spare donut on I-25 at 4:45 pm on the way to Albuquerque. Check engine light came on during a road trip. These guys got us in wuickly. Inspected the vehicle. Found the issue. And were able to recommend a very low cost solution. Stuck on the side of the road. I was told, by Verizon roadside assistance, that it would 3 hours before anyone could help because it was Sunday.We got a hold of these guys! They had a driver out in less than thirty minutes from the call time. Man where do I start. These guys are awesome! From start to finish were professional. My 2010 Expedition broke down 1000 miles from home, 10 miles from Raton NM. I had it towed to the nearest gas station by J and M tire till they opened on Monday morning. They had it picked up and had it figured out in a day. Wish I had mechanics down here like them!

Broke down with a horse trailer, on Trinidad mountain, they were prompt to assist, brought 2 trucks one with gooseneck for trailer and flatbed for truck, had truck fixed in 2 hours being there, sent me to a wonderful motel in area. They charged me $173 labor to change a starter on a Honda Odyssey, likely 45 minutes worth of work, & they didnt even bother to correctly hook up the battery. I had to fix that myself the next day when my van wouldnt start. I was a casualty of being on the road & needing a repair. They did get me back on the road quickly, but the shop was pretty dead. I chose to go here because the ratings were good. There are other places in town; know what youre getting into: shop rate $95 an hour, & apparently they dont work all that quickly.

Very experienced and respectful employees had me in and out in no time at all and the prices are very reasonable.Im from Abq and would recommend if your any where near wagon mound all the way to clayton to come here.

Several things left loose, now probably major brake damageThey left a bolt loose in the front end so that I had to pay for another alignment and replaced ONE of the two bad front end parts, so had to find another mechanic after I went across the state.Now, a year later, something else is loose that Im going to have to pay another mechanic to fix...Luckily I was close to home, so I can crawl it to the new mechanic.

The guys there are super professional and they get the job done right and fast. I would definitely recommend them to anyone

We got a flat tire and tried to go to J&M to get it fixed. We went right as they opened and got told to come back at 11:30-12pm. We waited and then we came back just to get told that they can’t fit us in!! We were given a time and then our spot got taken! If your reading these comments go to Mesa Tire!!! They were great! Fix our tire in 15 minutes! No wait!!

Husband and I got a flat tire on our way to Denver. We called around Raton to see who could help us. We were really worried because it was already past 4:30pm and places start closing. JM answered the phone and were more than happy to help! They were friendly and fast. We were on our way within 30 minutes with a patched tire. No issues with the tire since!

I blew a trailer tire last year (2019) between Clayton and raton. Changed it and googled for a place to get a new spare. Called JM and they had my size. I could be there in 30 minutes. Kinda hard to find over on west side of town off the beaten path. Rolled shredded tire out and Vic carried it in. Guys dropped what they were doing and went to work while Vic grabbed a new one. Had it on in minutes and asked if I wanted balanced. Spun balanced and put new spare in my truck. Fast forward to present. Going south between Walsenburg and Trinidad popped a tire on my toy hauler. Call JM, had some in stock. Dejavu all over again. Pulled in, Vic carried it in, grabbed new one off rack. By time I ran card, ready to go. Even carried it out to truck for me again. Interesting guys, fast friendly service, clean shop. Load range C, 6 ply 205/75 trailer tire mounted and balanced for around $90 bucks. Highly recommend them super service friendly and helpful. See you next year guys.

If I could give them 10 STARS I would. We are traveling with a 5th wheel trailer and when we did the tire check found a cracked rim. Contacted JM TIRE and they sent a tech who checked it out and recommended we come to the shop as we wanted the tires swapped. They got the tires all changed out in less than an hour without charging us an arm and a leg. You cant go wrong by Trading with JM Tire & Auto Repair. All the technicians were friendly and hard-working.

We pulled into Raton at 1:30 in the morning heading to Yellowstone for vacation. As we turned into a truck stop we lost a back wheel on our new travel trailer. Called triple A and they referred us to JM Tire and Auto. First thing that morning Tyler and his crew came to our rescue. Got the trailer to the shop and started trying to help us with warranty, etc. He worked tirelessly to get info for parts and best plan for repair. Sometimes had two phones going at the same time trying to help. Deciding we did not want to wait for warranty to replace, Tyler referred us to trailer company in Trinidad and we took the axle over for repair and back to Tyler for parts and to put us back together. They even worked late on Friday evening, Fathers Day weekend to help us get on our way for vacation. We are so very grateful for their concern and hard work. Could have been stuck for several days getting repaired!!! Cant say enough about the way Tyler worked and led by example the work ethics and character you rarely see today!!! May God Bless this business for the way they treat their clients and charge very fair prices!!! Thank you for saving our vacation!!!

We broke down in Capulin Nm. The tow truck guy was great. Funny, talkative, nice guy. (With an adorable son.) When we got to the shop ALL of the personnel was super nice. They gave my family and i some drinks while we waited for them to inspect the car.They went above and beyond to help us out. Lewis was very honest and upfront about our situation, and the time it could take to get us on the road. He recommended a Motel (which was awesome, the Roadway inn and suites)which was conveniently placed a short distance from several place my family and i could walk to for meals/drinks.Not only were they super nice, they drove us to and from the motel. As well as brought us a few things we needed from the car.If i could give more then 5 stars i would. Thank you guys for everything. You are the best!

Got to my appt for oil change and 2 tires and Victor told me it would be 3 hours. I hadnt planned for a ride home. Told him Id come back when they were ready for me and he said he would call. That was 2 days ago and no call. Guess he doesnt want or need my business.

These guys were our geico breakdown service providers. We had a blowout that caused $1500 in damage to our travel trailer, these guys came out, cut the tire off and towed it. Then stored it 5 days until the adjuster came. We bought 3 new tires from them and they repaired our trailer wiring for free. Highly recommend all services. Great staff.

Our van coasted into Raton when the alternator broke, we called JM Tire and they had us towed to their shop within 20 minutes. They checked out the van and gave us a reasonable quote to replace the part and had us on the road in 2 1/2 hours. The shop and bathroom were clean and the staff was friendly and upfront on what it was going to cost us and the time frame. Hoping to never break down in Raton again but if we did we would call JM Tire.

Sometime around July 2018 I bought a Mini from a dealer in TX and on the way up to CO through NM I hit a pothole and blew a sidewall on a run-flat. I was able to limp the tire to JM Tire and Auto to see about getting another tire. They didnt have one in stock, and i was really eager to get back on the road because I was so close to home. They were able to get me a tire from another local dealer and get it mounted and balanced. All together it cost me something like $107 and some change to get that all taken care of. They could have taken advantage of me wanting to get back on the road, but they really hooked it up. Definitely Recommend.

Tire pressure warning came on as we drove into Raton. Saw the reviews here about JM Tire and the google navigation took us straight to their shop on Brilliant St. They interrupted everything they were doing to check our tires, made sure they were at they right pressure and sent us on our way. Super service and nice people.

Nice people quick service

On a long road trip in an area where we had never traveled and didnt know any businesses, we picked up a nail in a tire. These guys came out in the rain and put my spare on for me and it was late at night. The guy was so polite and professional. The next morning, we drove to the actual shop to get the tire fixed. They went above and beyond by rotating all 4 for free to ensure the safest position and removed tar and gravel from my front calipers and notified me that I needed to replace my rear brakes soon. If you are ever near here, use this shop. I have never written any review of any business but these guys were so amazing that they deserve this great review.

Woke up to find a flat tire on my van for the second day in a row. I had planned to drive 600 miles today. I had an issue with brake lights on my travel camper on 6/9/18 in Raton, NM. I found J M Tire and went there. After a very short wait, a blown fuse was found and replaced, and, in case the fuse blowing was not a fluke, 2 spares were given to me to use as spares. I made it back home with no problems (600 miles). When I asked how much, I was told no charge! I cant express how grateful I am in finding this place, and would recommend them to anyone needing service in the area. Good guys still exist!!

While heading home from southern California to Manitoba, I stopped on I-25 and noticed that one of the tires on my 30 foot toy hauler RV had worn to the belts, unsafe to travel further. It was already after 4 pm on a Friday and was concerned we’d be stuck until Monday morning if we could not find a tire shop. We checked on line and found JM Tire and Auto Repair in the Town of Raton, New Mexico about ½ hour away. We phoned and confirmed the tire was in stock and in spite of the late hour, we were told to come right in.Upon arriving, we were treated to quick, friendly service. I asked to have both tires rear tires changed and two young men quickly removed, mounted installed and balanced the tires and as well, adjusted the wheel bearings at no extra charge. We were out in about half an hour. The price was far less than I expected, $195.48. If you’re on I-25 in northern New Mexico, we highly recommend this shop.Doug and Mary, Beausejour Manitoba Canada
