Always do great job. Always straight forward with the quotes. You are not obligated to get any work there. You can always shop for the best price. But I guarantee to you these guys get the job done.
Unfortunately they tried to scam me…. Went in for a flat tire repair. They told me my shocks and struts needed to be replaced and that it would cost 800$. I contacted another shop immediately and they inspected my car. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the shocks or the struts. Always get a second opinion on any work they say you need!!!

Went there after buying a tire that ended up having a leak in the stem. The guys there who sold me the tire we’re sure to fix the issue and didn’t recharge me for the work. Great place was timely and all around excellent work and customer service. Would recommend this place to anyone.

This pep boys location is one of the best service center, idk about other locations,but here the staff is cool and friendly and they know what there doing. Prices are a bit higher but remember with that you get a warranty after service so if something happens you can take it back they fix for free. I like that personally.

I called them and to see how much they would charge me change my spark plugs and ignition coil and they tell me me it would come out to $637! On a Hyundai Accent which my parts cheap to begin with then I call him out on it I told I have my parts which where $30 for my spark plugs and $80 for my ignition coil pack. Then he changes his price to $137 after I tell him how the parts really are and I have them already. This establishment is unprofessional and try’s taking advantage of people I don’t recommend ever coming here.
Place is great for ordering parts if they dont have it? They can sometimes order it for you and they get there stuff faster then other places. Plus as long as you dont open package and pay debit you can get you money back in cash; if credit then expect to wait. No bathrooms but they do lend tools out. Prices are a little more compare to online, but in the store managers are willing to help give some advice.

Ordered some parts online to pick up in their store. Its been 4 days so far and all my order says is submitted... thats fine, things can take time to come in... what is NOT fine is that I have called in several times to ask for an update and have NEVER been able to talk to a person. I dont even get a hello. Just a please hold. I have waited on hold well over 15 min till I had to hang up. TERRIBLE customer service. I thought they were a good place but I guess you learn something new everyday. Will not be buying from them anytime soon.

I had my car AC appointment rescheduled twice because the AC specialist seemed to not be available at all times. Finally, today 07Oct2020 I arrived for my appointment at 8 am. Only, to wait an hour until they took my car in. Give or take 15-20 min later a man approaches me to tell me that the AC reading machine is not working today. Either the AC specialist does not know what he is doing or management needs to reorganize what kind of services they can actually provide. Dont waste peoples time.
Had a 9:30 appointment to get my car inspected, I was added to the back of the queue upon arrival and left two hours later. why have an appointment system if it is first come first serve?

If I could take stars off, I would. Recently I took my Hummer H3 to this store for shock replacements. I got no complaints about the job done....so far, but how can you replace a shock absorber and fail to notice or let the customer know, that a bump stop (General Motors, Spring, 15783030) is missing? The two parts are so close together that I find it unbelievable that this could happen without the tech noticing it. Even though I did not ask for a suspension inspection, not letting the customer know about this is negligence at best and not what one expects from a shop, any shop. Extremely Dissappointed.
I hate big chain garages cause they are always so expensive and i always feel i get crews that dont even know what theyre talkkng about. i took my car to a mom n pop by my house to help support small business. the treatment was unreal and my car wasnt fixed. my wife made me take it to her guy at pepboys. called the next day with my car while the other garage had it for a whole week. the crew was really nice and listened to what i was saying. great team. thanks guys

If I could give negative stars I totally would there was a couple arguing in front of the cashier. I than want up to the cashier and asked him about tires and he rolled his eyes and said I cant help u. Than I came back and there was another customer in front of me she had asked him a question and he said again I cant help you go over there and pointed the girl than said I did they told me to come here he rolled his eyes mumbled oh my God and just called someone else. Than I came to buy something which was mark and under the price for 14 dollar when I go he said it 26 i told him i found it under a 14 dollar price tag. He said well it 26 and than I said never.mind and proceed to walk away when he stopped me and said can you put this back. As Im walking out a female working us holding the door and rudely said come on and go and rolled her eyes and huffed. Bottom line terrible experience I will never come back and will definitely not refer this place to anyone!!!!

They saved my vacation. I planned to leave for vacation on the day after Memorial Day. On Sunday night, I came home from doing some last minute vacation supply shopping. When I got out of my van, I could feel an intense heat coming off of the front drivers side wheel. I knew that meant BIG trouble. The heat was intense. Who was going to be open on Memorial Day? Well, I searched and found Pep Boys. I made my way over there and explained my situation. They werent too busy, so they took me right away. It did take some time, but there was a lot that needed to be done to the brakes. Of course, I hadnt planned on this added expense to my meager vacation plans. Im on Social Security, so money is very tight. I didnt realize until about two days later that they even applied a Sr. discount to my bill. They also did not charge me for a safety inspection. Anyway, my 2002 van performed beautifully the entire trip and my vacation was saved. Thank you!!

Fixed my broken power steering pump. Done on time, done right, and done well. 4 stars instead of 5 because slightly pricey.
Husband called to have tired studded two days ago. He verified their studding gun was working again. He was told yes. So this morning I took them out, only to be told the gun was never replaced and hasnt been working since last winter. They need to communicate better with ALL employees. Taking our business elsewhere from now on.

Wonderful experiences here! Just went in to get my state inspection and an oil change. They also were able to fix any issues caused by the Garage that worked on my car last time (never going back). Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back for future car care.

The guy was very nice who helped us and it was before Black Friday that I got new tires so he fit Us in and had it done within two hours but the only problem I have with Pep Boys is that for a tire alignment it cost $89.99 when I know someone who is a mechanic that will do it for free but says the tires dont necessarily need to be aligned even though Pep Boys pushed me to get it done but I didnt get it done thank gosh
Bought tires on Amazon for installation at this shop and they did great! Bought tires at tire rack online for installation at this shop and they did not so great. Ill give them another shot
This was my third stop to find some replacement lights, AutoZone and Advance autos did not even bother to ask me if I needed help, Batteries and Bulbs at least talked to me but have zero in inventory. Woman came up to me in Pep Boys and was very knowledgeable about the lights, plucked out what I needed exactly and was even training a new hire at the same time. Excellent customer service!

I made an appointment for an oil change during hours they said they were completely open. I come in and they say it’s gonna be 45mins to an hour. Okay, fine, so I’m waiting and over an hour goes by and they call me in to the shop and try to tell me my oil bolt is stripped and there’s a chance it’ll cost like hundreds of dollars. I’m like No, don’t touch anything. And the next day I took it to another TRUSTED mechanic and they told me everything is fine, it is Not stripped at all. DO not come here and DO not trust what they say.
Every time I have gone there they have been super helpful. Bought wipers there 2 times now and they offered to and then put them on, no charge! I like it there.
Had an appointment, was there 15min early and was told they only had 2 mechanics and would be hours till they could get to me.
My car was making a noise when braking so I figured it was time for replacement brake pads and maybe even a rotor. Was able to get a same day service appointment the day after Christmas at Pep Boys. I expected it would take a while given how busy they were and was hoping the bill wouldn’t be too high. I received an automated email that my car is ready for pickup 2 hours later while sitting in the waiting room. I walked over to the service counter a bit confused since usually I’m told the price quote before work is done. The guy says you’re all set and gives me a receipt for $0. Even more confused, I ask if the work was done already. The service guy says yes, we did all the work, replaced the brake pads and 1 rotor. I said thanks, so how much is it? He said no charge, must’ve been under warranty from the last time you were here. After a brief It’s a Wonderful Life moment, I remembered bringing my car in last year for work. They honored the parts and labor warranty from that visit and I drove home with perfect brakes, no noise and grateful for my little holiday miracle Lol. Thanks Pep Boys you guys are awesome!

Prices are fair and the work they do seems to be up to standard. The big problem is the length of time they need to complete the job. I understand they’re busy, but would really appreciate knowing an accurate estimate of when to return so I could plan around it. Sure it may lose them business but it would make for happier customers.

I only went in for detail spray and had to wait 20 minutes for employees to realize I was stationed at the counter. Should have just taken it but I dont steal. I just looked at my watch and said thanks. I dont get too mad I just rarely visit nomatter if they have the best deal or they are the closest for parts. Use my money elsewhere and check in every year or so to see if business Etiquette changes.

I stopped in on an emergency wheel bearing issue. Perry jumped in and took care of everything and was accommodating and so very helpful. Fixed up my issues and even helped my mother with her car issue when we picked mine up. I definitely recommend and will be back there for my services in the future. It took them three hours to inspect the wrong tire! I originally went to Pep Boys to get my car inspected. I scheduled a time and was there a few minutes before that time. It was two hours after the appointment time when they started the inspection. I made the mistake of giving Pep Boys another chance when I found a nail in the left front tire of my car. I scheduled a time and again was there a few minutes before that time. I told the clerk it was the left front tire. He even repeated “Okay, left front tire. Well look at it.” This time it took them THREE HOURS before someone looked at my car. They inspected the left rear tire and no surprise, could not find a nail. When I pointed out the mistake, they offered to inspect the correct tire. But I said “No, I dont want to wait another three hours. And dont expect to ever have me as a customer again.” I will NEVER go to a Pep Boys store again!!!
What can you say about a car parts store? The selection was the best. The knowledge and helpfulness of the staff was great. They have their own car service department which is available for appointments.
Absolutely poor service. I will never return. It took 5 minutes of me standing there before I even got recognized then was told I had to wait 2 hours even though I had an appointment. When I said I had an appointment his response was yea you and everyone else. I drove 30 minutes to this shop to be treated that way. Absolutely awful. I wish I could give 0 stars!
I made an appointment to get my brakes done, I dropped my car off and came back 2 hours later. Car hadnt moved, I was told the part wasnt in yet and that it would be another hour until it arrived. So why am I giving them 5 stars you ask?? Well I brought it to the managers attention, he quickly looked up what part was needed, realized that a higher quality part was there and had my car immediately in the back getting fixed with a better part. To top it off he apologized for the misunderstanding AND discounted the entire order. That is true customer service and I appreciate it.

I called Pep Boys (5th street, Temple) for a simple appt to have my car inspected. First, I was put on hold for at least 15 + mins, finally when the receptionist got back to me, I asked for an appt to have my vehicle inspected, he replied, No! We are all booked up. Not even given me a chance to schedule a future appointment with them. Not only was he very rude but he made it seem as though I was bothering him. This is not the first time their employees were rude and ignorant, weather it was over the phone or in person. Im not sure has to why I thought to call them in the first place or that this time would be any different dealing with them. Needless to say, that was my last time dealing with them!
Took my car in on a Sunday August 4th for brake repairs, and had a scheduled appointment for 1pm. They close early around 6 so I got concerned around 5:30 and ended up having to give a call, they never even took my car as they claimed to be busy. That I can make an exception for but I was not even given a call to be notified about the progress of my car so I had to leave it there over night which became a major inconvenience the next day August 5th and the schedule I had. To top it off, I find it extremely ridiculous that I was charged 250.00 for parts yet over 560.00 for the labor and that was even with a supposed 237 discount for the inconvenience they had. It’s unfortunate because the manager Mike was a very pleasant guy.

I was waiting at the register for someone to ring me up. I saw two employees talking to each other. I asked can someone take care of me at the register. The male employee said someone will be there soon. I took the items the i had and put them on the shelves and left the store.
Theres a guy who works here. I believe his name is Lee? Helped me out alot and was really really really patient with me. He deserves a raise pep boys!
Brought my F250 in for an alignment because they said they could start in 20 minutes and I didnt want to wait 2 days for NTB. They had the alignment fixed in a reasonable (the Toe was out). When I left to drive home I noticed the steering wheel was about 5 degrees off to the right when I was going straight. I brought it back, but after 2 more hours and 5-6 more attempts to fix it the mechanic still couldnt get it right and no other mechanic there ever looked at it during that time. The next day I spoke to the manager and he had another mechanic look at it and it was fixed within 30 minutes. I was not offered any sort of compensation for all the time I lost or fuel lost for all the test drives my truck was taken on because the mechanic could not get it right after so many tries.
The most dirtiest parts store I been to and I go to and all of them all the employees are rude I’m glad I live on the other side of reading because I’m never stepping foot in that dirty store again
