Comic book selection is poor. Big gaping holes in the current book walls. Stopped in on new comic book day to grab a book released that day and they did not have it. When I asked (after being left to wait for 5-10 minutes without even a hello be with you in a minute) I was asked gruffly if I ordered it. So unless you subscribe don’t bother shopping here. No longer carry action figures or other collectibles except a few Pops!. Looks like they only want card gaming customers these days. Went back to give them a second chance and the employee was outside smoking ignoring customers. Poor selection and rude service. I won’t be back.

I go here frequently to buy comics, and I really like this location. When I was a kid, I vividly remember coming here for Free Comic Book Day back when Golden Eagle was inside the mall. And now, as Im a little bit older, I started going more frequently, and I like coming here! There always is a good selection of comics, the more recent ones always being there. One issue I had is that it was a little bit hard to navigate when I first started coming here, but as I started coming more frequently, I unserstood. The staff could be a bit friendlier, but all in all, this comic book store is golden— pun intended.

Great selection and the owner was knowledgeable about all the products. He was kind and courteous and it felt like a place I would love to spend all day in..playing mtg or d&d or heck just reading some comics. Go here. Its worth it.

Nice friendly staff. Doesnt sell marvel t-shirts but at least we have a local comic book store for our Comic Book needs.

I have been a customer of Golden Eagle going back to when they were located at 5th and Spring. They are Readings oldest comic shop. Games and tournaments that Golden Eagle hosts include: MtG, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, HeroClix and D&D.

Good selection of back issues, friendly staff, was our first time visit, plan to stop back again.

They recently moved to new location next to Schuylkill Valley Sports for all those still wondering over to the mall.Easily one of the friendliest staff and knowledgeable.

Used to go here every week as a kid. Went for some card supplies. Had a good selection. Little pricey but only comic and card shop in the area.

Very good. Was looking for Marvel 1000 and he was able to order specific covers for me. The directions were slightly off as it still had the store in the mall as opposed to next to Schuylkill Valley Sports. I provided Google the correct location.

The new location for Golden Eagle Comics is fantastic. The store is clean and brightly lit, and the owner is knowledgeable about both card games and comics.I primarily come to Golden Eagle to play cards, and the store owner works hard to make sure all games are run by the rules of their associated Organized Play programs so that all players can have fun and play in events with integrity.Theres also lots of space here to play games, with an expanded room in the back for more tables if they run out of room in the front. If youre looking for a place to play some cards, youll enjoy Golden Eagle Comics.

Awesome store with extremely awesome staff. Big shout out to the guys for helping me with prices for some of my old comics and also for helping me out while I shopped with my wife. Definitely will be going back again

An absolutely wonderful place. From the time I was a kid going to the Fairgrounds mall for trading cards, I always loved the place. Many years later it is still my favorite game store.

I dont shop here unless I have to; Ive seen store owners rip off customers too many times. This should be the absolute last place you try to sell comics or cards at. There is a better, larger, more ethical shop down the street for D&D, MtG, etc down the street a few blocks (Owl Central) and I suggest you spend your time and money there if you have the option

This is a fun place. Found a comic that was over 40 yrs old. Lots of new as well. Check it out.

The owner is nice and has a great sense of humor. Also very helpful and have a great variety of stuff.

My husband and I used to go to,the location inside the mall but as things started dying off in the area we havent been coming up here as frequently. We stopped here about 2 weeks ago after realizing they had moved outside of the mall. The new space is nice. Ample playing space for TCG. Lots of comics to,choose from and browse, they have a variety of different pop figures, and the prices on their magic cards are fair. The shop employee despite being the only one there was attentive to our needs and we left with more than we Origionally went in for.

Staff is great theyve always got what we are looking for. Good pricing. There are tables where you and your friends can go play card games and just have a good time.

My whole family goes to this comic book store. Always very friendly. They are very knowledgeable about anything we have asked them about. The also carry a good number of comics for younger children. My daughter who is four loves to pic out a comic every time she goes in.

This was my first visit to this store; and also to any comic book store in many years. The staff seemed friendly unlike some comic book store folks. They were discussing Nick Fury when I came in, which was endearing and showed me to my comic when I asked for help. I will definitely go back.I didnt get a racist feeling from our interaction and I usually get followed everywhere!!

If they didnt have it in stock, they have always been willing to order me anything that was available. Their game nights are also a lot of fun! Other places cram as many tables as they can into a closet and expect you to be able to enjoy yourself but Golden Eagle has a large game area with plenty of tables and it doesnt feel claustrophobic.

Local mainstay always provides quality books and collectibles.

I was happily surprised to find this gem in a mall that for a great part is vacant and barren. Their comic selection is vast and well organized and they had plenty of copies of the issues I was searching out even days after they were released. It was very easy to browse and both find what I needed and scan other possibilities.

Good selection of back-issues and trades as well as new releases! The staff is friendly and they host awesome events there all the time (though I, myself, have never participated...) PLUS, its the only comic shop near me w/in a half hour! Kudos, G.E.!

Awesome place and great for comics but the hobbies section is lacking.

Dont buy comics anymore.

I emailed about a specific event and was give a specific time, however on the day of the event, it ran earlier than what I was told. Whoever was running the store at the time, did give me a consolation gift, but it still was a waste of gas and travel just to show up late because I was told the wrong time.Edit: in hindsight what happened was a miscommunication error, and the man running the store at the time did give me a compensation, so overall I think while I had a bad experience, Golden eagle is a good store that offers good service

I love it here! The staff is nice and know what they are talking about, I went there for my first Magic tournament and it was awesome! I highly recommend going here for Magic. And other things.

Great place to go if your looking for cards or games and they have open game nights for certain card games such as magic the gathering

Stopped in the store the last Saturday of June for my first Transformers TCG event. Staff were very helpful in explaining to me what would happen during the event, answered questions regarding other trading card and comic events, and event signed me up with Wizard for a DCI number (which I didnt know Id need for the event). Customers in the store were also very friendly and answered my newbie questions, who all seemed to be regulars of the store. Will definitely consider Golden Eagle in the future for TCG events and comic purchases.

Ive been a customer of Golden Eagle for over 20 years. If I had one suggestion, please increase your book selection to what it used to be. Ive been in several times since the move and the walls were pretty bare and boxes so condensed, you couldnt really search for anything without possibly bending books.

I do not recommend this place at all you might as well just go to owl central games it’s right by it and just a better place in general

Just started playing Magic the gathering a couple of weeks ago the guy was very very nice and even gave me a free starter deck again the people that work there are very nice and the store has amazing prices

This is no doubt the best comic book store around! It has a great selection of comics and board games for all ages, and it has half a room filled with tabes of back issues.

The new location is much better for running events and better visibility.

Guys are great there, food selection of comic books. They run regular tourneys for card games as well.
